I was excited to try CrossFit and saw they had a special price offer. Unfortunately, their coaches aren’t certified and I’d rather spend the money on a gym with certified trainers. Going to check out CrossFit hardcore which is a little further west but I called and their coaches have their certifications.

Shady Management & Unauthorized Charges at Boca Raton Fitness Center – BEWARE

I canceled my membership at Boca Raton Fitness Center in person on July 4. I signed the official cancellation form in front of the gym owner, John, and a front desk staff member. I was told it was processed — but on July 18, I was still charged.

To be clear:
✅ I was not under a contract
✅ There was no 30-day cancellation policy
✅ I followed all cancellation procedures IN PERSON

When I called to ask why I was charged, I was told “there’s no record” of my cancellation. That’s completely false. I personally handed the signed form to John. This is not just carelessness — it feels intentionally shady.

What’s worse is that I’ve since heard from others who’ve had the same issue — being charged after canceling. It seems this gym is knowingly charging former members and hoping no one will notice or fight back.

Gym owner John and his management team need to be held accountable. This is deceptive, unethical, and possibly illegal billing behavior. If you’re thinking of joining Boca Raton Fitness Center, protect yourself — or better yet, go somewhere else.

CrossFit East Boca is one of the best CrossFit gyms I’ve been to. The owner and head coach are both extremely knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely supportive. Whether you’re a local or just visiting the area, I highly recommend stopping by this gym.

Great CrossFit box with friendly atmosphere. There are classes at many times of day, plenty of equipment that all works and the programming is challenging. Also when you're a member, there Is a huge gym with an abundant amount of equipment that you can use. The sauna and shower Is a plus. Love it here.

We had to travel during the timing of the recent CrossFit Open Games 2024. Our son Alex had been competing and wanted to complete the last open workout. We googled to find a location in Boca Raton that would allow a drop-in, and came across CrossFit East Boca. We liked the sound of it, rang up and spoke with Coach Devin. She could not be more accommodating. She took Alex under her wing and with her great knowledge, techniques, and support, it was just awesome. Alex could not have been in better hands. We felt very lucky. We would also like to thank coach Gabby and the other coaches. CrossFit East Boca’s entire staff and members were welcoming, and super friendly. Just a great place! New to crossfit and started going here a month ago and I absolutely love it. The coaches have all been super supportive and helpful with teaching me all the movements, helping me make adjustments and modifications for things I can't do while also encouraging me to push myself. The community is also super supportive and encouraging. If you're interested in crossfit I highly recommend doing a trial and checking it out.

Simply the best! The place is always clean has great equipment and the programming is dialed in. Devin is super-knowledgable, helpful with technique and fun. I visit Florida every 60 days and this is the only place I work out. The regular members are friendly, always make me feel welcome and there is plenty of space. I couldn't recommend them more highly!! As someone who travels for work and does a lot of gym drop-ins, they're among the best in the country.

I would like to thank the entire staff of PBG Boca & especially coach Devin for taking care of me during my travels on vacation. It’s tough to take off from Cross Fit for an entire week but Devin kicked my a** for these few training sessions & I’m grateful for it! The entire staff & other members were extremely friendly & the gym itself was very clean & up to date with equipment. The workouts are fun and consistently have strength and metabolic conditioning. Coaches, especially Devin, are knowledgeable and all-around kind and welcoming. Music is bumpkin’ and the box is affiliated with a more traditional gym so there great equipment for whatever you’re looking for. Tons of fun.

I was visiting the area and I have the to say - I have been to many CrossFit gyms and this is by far the best. Top notch/up-to-date equipment, very clean, friendly staff and members that make you feel like family away from home. Coach Devin is the best coach I have ever encountered and worked with. What can I say? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this BOX!!! I started in January 2022, and I lost a total of 15 pounds! Devin is an incredible coach, and I couldn't have made it this far in my weightlifting game without her. Seriously. I also love Jean; she's an excellent coach as well.

I love how my body is changing for the better, and I am getting stronger and stronger by the day. Instead of dreading going to the gym, I look forward to working out every day! Come and be a part of an incredible community; you will not be disappointed.

I swear there is only 1 good gym in boca and that is hype, this gym literally is horrible programming which seams like comp train missed and matched the coaches are horrible and definitely won’t go backs the tall coach was on his phone the entire time talking to some girl who wasn’t even training nor part of our class..

GREAT equipment, tons of power racks, dumbbells up to 110lbs, many independent plate load Hammer Strength machines. Never too crowded, inexpensive membership.

I would LOVE to give this gym 5 stars but the hours are not great, especially the weekend, 9PM Fri, 7PM Sat and 4PM Sun.
