Been going to this gym for 8 months and never once had to sign in on an iPad. Today a white lady (the manager) in the front desk demanded I use her iPad, followed me when I walked away, put her hands on me, and then cussed at me—telling me not to come back to a gym she doesn’t even own. Completely unprofessional and unnecessary behavior.

When you sign up there will be big font that says Month to Month no commitment, make sure you read the small font all the way at the bottom that lets you know thats a lie and you are signing up for a 90 day commitment. Gyms also dirty.

I have called three times already to speak with management, and no one has returned my calls or answered the phone. I am currently in the hospital and therefore unable to mail a letter or visit your location in person.

This lack of response is unacceptable. I need someone from management to contact me directly as soon as possible to address my concerns.

Terrible customer service. Unlike other gyms that let you cancel over the phone or with a simple email, Crunch Fitness in Deltona forces you through a ridiculous paper work,

When I called to cancel, they flat-out refused and said I had to go through this extra paperwork. It feels like they purposely make it difficult to get out of your contract so they can keep charging you.

If you’re thinking about joining here, be prepared for a headache when you want to leave. There are plenty of other gyms that respect your time and don’t trap you in unnecessary hoops just to cancel.

Affordable. Good hours of operation on weekdays, but bad hours of operation on WeekEnds. Closing at 5pm is too early! Please extend it to 10PM like the weekdays! Too few equipment. There is only 1 rear delt machine and I have to wait in line repeatedly for it. Some women will sit in a machine and waste 15+ mins time doing nothing before actually using the machine. This gym needs a little more TLC.....I'm sympathetic that it may cost too much to increase hours and to bring another machine or two, or to refill the soap more often- but improving what seem to be small details will retain clientele and encourage returning members to recommend this to friends & family.

This place just lost a client. I will never use crunch fitness ever again. Where do I even start?! The place is dirty. Equipment is alwaaays broken and stays broken for a long time before fixing.
A large chunk of the staff is lazy, which is odd for a gym. Completing simple tasks like filling the towels does not happen here. When you go to tell them they are out of towels, they look at you like they are annoyed, as if a paying client is bothering and making them work.
Do not get me started on the fees and difficulty to cxl. Seems like a running theme in the reviews. I 100% feel as if I've been ripped off.
Want to cxl but unable to go in person to the specific location? They will completely screw you over. Make sure you don't get yourself in a position where you're unable to send a certified letter to cxl, like if you're in the hospital or something of that nature, because they will have zero compassion whatsoever
and not allow you to cxl over the phone or online, at all, no exceptions.
The front desk gentleman, possibly Carlos, is not helpful at all and should not be in customer service, but probably not his fault.
Sooo much more I could say about this gym, seriously sooo much!
Such a disappointment. I will not continue to pay a business that leads with profits rather than compassion or customer service. Wild how much business you're losing, simply from greed.

I’ve been a member for 5 months now, and overall, I’m happy. I enjoy working out alone, but for many others, this place is like a second home — a supportive fitness community. There are plenty of free weights and machines, and everything is kept in good condition. If something breaks, it’s usually replaced or repaired quickly.

The staff is friendly for the most part, and the gym has a positive atmosphere.

My only complaint is the lack of 24/7 access — that would make it even better for those of us with unpredictable schedules.

“Manager” moved my bag without my permission from behind the treadmill claiming there’s no bad allowed on the floor which has never been enforced even though there is signs all over the place. I told her I was leaving so I moved it back and was getting ready to leave. She rannnn back over and ordered me to keep it off the floor cause “people will trip over it”? There is bags and weights and tools all over the place for people to trip over? Then she gave me a dirty look from the desk as I was leaving.

I have been a member of this gym for a few years. It’s a benefit I get through my health care plan so I don’t have to pay directly for it. The staff is very friendly, it’s pretty clean overall. If I could give this place zero stars, this ‘fitness facility’ is more like a dusty warehouse with broken equipment and staff who couldn’t care less.

The first treadmill I stepped on screeched like it was about to take off and then shut down mid-run, nearly throwing me on my face. When I told the front desk, they shrugged and said, ‘Yeah, that one does that sometimes.’ Apparently, so does the next two.

The showers? Moldy curtains, drains clogged with hair, and water pressure like a leaky garden hose.

But the worst part was the staff. I saw one trainer literally scrolling TikTok during a client’s session while the guy was struggling under a barbell. Another time, the desk clerk told me they were ‘out of towels’ and suggested I bring my own—at a place charging premium membership rates.

To top it off, they double-charged me for my monthly dues, and when I asked for a refund the manager said, ‘It’ll probably just balance out next month.’ Spoiler: it didn’t. I had to call my bank to reverse it.

This place isn’t a gym, it’s a scam with dumbbells. Save yourself the frustration and go anywhere else. Even jogging in the rain would be a better workout experience than stepping foot in here.

It's okay; the Deltona location is okay, but it could be better kept. I signed up for a six-month prepaid membership. In that time, I became pregnant and was high risk, so I could not attend the gym due to various reasons. Unfortunately, I lost the baby. When I went back to see if they would credit the time I did not go to the gym, which was about four months, I was told no. So, $150 was lost, and they were not willing to work with me.

None of the risks of paying in full were spoken to me at the time of sign-up. Had they been, I may have gone with another option.

Edit: I spoke with Crunch today and was offered a free month if I signed back up. I personally don't feel like that was much of an offer at all, as I lost more money than what they were offering for me to even consider going back. I added a star because they did reach out.

Amazing service from Hazel at the Deltona Crunch. My bank account was recently hacked which caused me to change my account. My crunch account was not directly debited so I was sent an email with a late fee. I called the Deltona Crunch yesterday, and Hazel immediately waived my late fee, set up my new card information, took my payment and got me back in the gym.

I sawHazel in the gym this morning and she was just as pleasant in person as she was on the telephone. Amazing customer service and kudos to Hazel and staff for saving a long time customer. I highly recommend this location.

Friendly staff and seemed to be fairly clean and well maintained. They could definitely update their barbells. The bushings/bearings inside the sleeves are seized so the sleeves do not spin freely when loaded with plates. The knurling on the bars I used was very poor as well. Not a big issue for most. Competitive strength athletes should probably find somewhere else to train. Just wanted to point this out. Not a bad gym just needs to maintain/update barbells

I been going too this gym for a least 1 1/2 and I really like. I been trying to improve my health and fitness. I dislike that gym feels kind abandoned the area where you go and stretch the machines have rust also I have ask and suggested new adaptors for the cable machine some of them are broken and old. Today I experience going to the church location in winter springs you guys should visit it and invest more into your gym and adding newer equipment and eliminating some equipment that doesn’t get use. Like the rowing machine and rope pull machine that nobody uses. As a member of the community we don’t have many options for gym available to us. Can you please make some updates and ad more machines that make sense and not having things in the gym for dust buildup.

I love working out at Crunch- the staff is super friendly, fellow members usually are too. It's an older facility so could use some updating (been to multiple other Crunches and all have a sauna in the locker room, one with a pool & hot tub, etc) but you'll definitely get a great workout and can't beat the value; I recommend trying the hydro massage bed after your workout for recovery and to prevent soreness 👍🏽💪🏽

I give it a 1 star because I tried to come in and do a 1 day pass to see if it’s a gym that I would be interested in again. I use to go here, but that was about a year ago, so im not sure if things have changed. They refused to let me in on the 1 day pass that I signed up for because they said I’ve been here before. I told them that I was looking to get a membership again but wanted to make sure it’s still a good gym. Going along with the then here to say they make it a horrible process to cancel, despite repeated attempts and my card getting stolen and being replaced, I was ultimately sent to collections for several hundred dollars for a gym membership I believed to be canceled on several occasions despite having a “month to month” membership. Horrible and misleading sales tactics. If it did not require a certified letter to sign up, I’m not sending one to cancel a MONTH TO MONTH agreement.

Let me preface this by saying the gym itself is decent, with a good amount of equipment and lots of sprays to clean the equipment. I am leaving a 1 star because of 1 staff member, which appears to work often in this location. This employee is the one with curly brown hair with blonde tips, and light eyes. She has a nasty attitude, and does not do her job correctly. My first time at the gym was on Friday. She was working the desk. She had me fill out a waiver form. She did not explain to me that each time I would come to the gym, separate from scanning my bar code, I would need to check in with an iPad system. Today, I went, and she stopped me saying I needed to check in. I asked why that was asked of me, and instead of politely and briefly explaining the reasoning, she grabbed the stand with a paper that explained why it was required and placed it in front of her so I could read it. I recommend for that employee to receive customer service training, because I have 4 plus years of customer service, and I have never treated a customer like that. Also, this is the only Crunch location that requires a double check in. I have gone to Crunch locations in GA, and other cities in FL and this is not a requirement. Do better.

Omg I hate this gym it's like working out in a damn small box. All that strength and training equipment but no room to use any of it, makes no sense. I had a membership here for about 6 months. I used to come three times a week at first but lost interest. The place was clean and you had to carry a bottle of sanitizer and cleaning clothes here during Covid. Many of the elliptical machines were out of order during my membership.
The locker rooms were always clean and overall I had a good experience here but lost interest.

Looks like there’s a theme here… cancelling my membership at this gym was nearly impossible. Requested to cancel via their website in June (as the instructions suggested…), was told I would receive a call or email to start the process, that email never came. Called in after a month or so of waiting and was told to send a certified letter or come in person. Was met with an incredibly sarcastic and rude person who could “help”. 3 additional monthly charges and 1 extra annual fee later, I managed to cancel.

The Trainers are outstanding at Crunch Fitness Deltona. Coach Chris has a wealth of knowledge from his time in the military and his Degree in Exercise Physiology. Coach Chris & Coach Victoria can design a training program for just about anyone to reach their fitness goals. Coach Victoria always makes my training days fun but challenging. Coach Victoria has helped guide me towards my fitness goals. If you are serious about improving your health, strengthening your core, working on your posture (like me due to back surgery). I would suggest you setup a time to sit down with one of the Trainers.

Had a difficult time some years ago cancelling my membership. I had also taken classes with a trainer that cancelled on me several times. To make matters worse, one day, the trainer texted me to tell me he would not be available. When I went to just workout on machines that day, he was there and was training others. On another occasion, a guy working out on free weights was blocking the pathway to the massage beds. He got mad at me when I said excuse me as if I was the one in the way. I when to the front desk but nothing was done. Place is too small and the front desk is not always helpful. I am at Planet Fitness now, which is much better for the $10 a month.

The gym itself is nice and clean. Smaller then others, but still gets the job done. The front desk staff sucks. They are always in their phones, never greet you and if they do talk to you, they dont look up from their phones.

Crunch fitness first got me on the cheap deal to join, went to the gym once and felt extremely uncomfortable and wished to cancel. Would not cancel it without charging me $80 dollars which was apparently a favour. Even though I opted for the most expensive plan with the most FLEXIBILITY I could not cancel without incurring feea.

Manager never called me back as agreed.

There is absolutely no transparency when signing up and it's clear they make their money by tricking members with 'deals'. Trickery is a scandalous way to run a business.

Do yourself a favour and join literally anywhere else.

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star !! I’ve literally been asking to please cancel my membership for 7 months being that I no longer have a car to get there, but it just so happens that’s the only way you can cancel is in person. That is extremely frustrating and inconsiderate. I’ve been stuck paying for a membership without being able to go, this is not a contract yet they treat it as a legal bind. Never again!! I stood there for 20 mins while the girl just socialized with her friends, then she took like an hour to figure out how to do her job. She was extremely unprofessional and clueless. This place is trash.

Do not join without reading their rules for cancellation! Must go in person and if within 10 days of next payment due you have to pay to cancel or go back again to cancel after payment deducted from your account! They make it very difficult to cancel.

This place is very hard to cancel membership. They would let my son cancel his membership cause their GM wasn't their and that's the only way he could cancel really! So when are they around Never! So I will get a hold of corp office and see how fast my son will have his membership canceled

Closed at 8:23pm on a Monday. Hours online state closing is at 10pm and that they were open at this time. No lights on in the building or parking lot. As well as no sign explaining why they were closed.

My wife and son went for the first time 4/2. The lady working behind the counter was very rude and hateful to them while they where there. All because a piece of equipment wasn’t put back in the correct place. Only problem is it was put back where they found it. And being first time there how would they know any different? Stay away unless you want to be spoken to like a child.

This is the worst crunch out there. Customer service is horrendous, guests couldn’t even use the restroom when we carpooled today. Wouldn’t accept guests with peak membership from a different location (which is the point of that membership). Not to mention we had no issues two other times last week.

ANDREA AND MANAGERS HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
They really do make canceling your membership difficult. I called to ask when I needed to cancel my membership before getting charged again and they gave me an inaccurate date. Then they documented notes on my account saying they told me I would be charged the day I called and I’d get a late fee if I didn’t pay within 3 days. They never communicated that to me. If they did, I would have came in before the grace period!
The general manager, Andrea, was so deliberately RUDE to me when I came in a week later to cancel. She cut me off when I tried to explain what I was told and said she had “witnesses” for what they claimed to tell me on the phone. She didn’t care what I had to say and treated me as liar. Now they say if I don’t pay, the system will keep charging me for membership monthly and will eventually get sent to collection. I’m mad about that, but I’m extremely disgusted that this place has a manager running it who is so unprofessional and gives attitude to customers for a situation that was the employee’s fault.
They’re all nice until you want to cancel- then they treat you with disrespect and try to scam you for as much money as they can get from you.

Came from another crunch fitness as I travel a-lot and used this crunch for about a week. Staff couldn’t access my membership and took 30 minutes until I could work out. Machines seemed poorly maintained and the leg extension machine fell apart mid rep. Good luck getting a bench as its small and very crowded unless very off peak hours. Probably the worst crunch I’ve been too but hey its cheap right?
