Don't come in here wanting to sign up for a cheap yearly commitment. The staff will do there very best to sell you any and everything else. I walked in wanting to sign up for a membership knowing I would have to dish out money now, and walked out with no membership and no money given to this location. I will sign up online if I do at all now.

Edit: After checking the web site, I see a 10 dollar option which I asked the desk member, who was at the desk around 11:30 on 11/26/25.He lied to me and said that option no longer was available. When I walked away he called me back too check but couldn't use his computer to get to the option. Then told me to check online. You know what, we both knew the option was available. Slimey sales tactics I think I will look elsewhere.

Update: new leadership seems to be doing a good job updating equipment and keeping things cleaner.
But also the class trainer Tracy stole a piece of equipment I was using mid set. I even had my water bottle and phone on it so she touched my personal belongings as well. A truly wild experience that I never had happen from another gym goer let alone somebody that works for the gym. I honestly didn’t even know how to react to this. Told the manager and he was understanding although Tracy never apologized or acknowledged what occurred. I’ve seen her be very confrontational and abrasive with others in the past. We all pay to go there and there are ways to inform others that areas are being used for your class in more appropriate ways.

An inherently predatory business that will confirm your request for cancellation of a membership, have you sign to confirm your cancellation, inform you that you will only be charged for one additional month then continue your charge you for 3 months. I was a member here since it opened until recently. Minus a 7 month leg rehab after surgery I had a good experience. Now I feel like I was 100% scammed. Please lmk if anyone else had this happen.

I cancelled membership after major leg surgery as I knew I wouldn’t be able to work out for 6-8 months. I went back and asked for the $10 a month membership. The manager (you know who you are) decided to tell me to pay $44 for premium and revert to $10 a month after that and get all perks. I don’t need any perks. I only use free weights. Hence my $10 a month request. Anyway I folded and said okay to the premium. WENT back to cancel 2 months after he said but I was told $10 a month isn’t offered anymore. So he said it will be $16 a month instead. It was not. They charged me $36 a month AFTER I was told it would be $16. When I went back to correct it, DUDE HAD AMNESIA…

I can’t deal with ridiculousness so I walked. CRUNCH…you did this…not me. BYE ✌🏻

PS - I waited 2 weeks to write this to ensure it was thought through.

Honestly I can't do it anymore. I'd like a manager to give me a email or number to talk to about a refund after signing up here.

I've been going for 6 weeks. The perks that I pay extra for have only worked 2 days in a row once, at this point I'm paying extra just because.

The equipment, especially for legs, is so bad that I could only use 3 machines today for legs and one squeaks so bad it's embarrassing to use and the other throttles when you kick it back like the wire is bad or something after a certain point.

I hate to talk about staff because they are friendly enough mostly but one person always seems like they hate being there and their job, and it's usually the one I get unfortunately.

I can't wait it out any longer as much as I like going here. I'm getting ripped off for a place that has less working leg equipment than my apartment and perks that rarely work (at least when I go).

I was just harassed by the manager for not checking in when I just did not even 30 minutes before. I was at the water fountain and it made no sense at all for me to be stopped especially when I talked to the woman at the front for a little while about where I could charge my phone. After I proceed to tell him that I did indeed check in, re-check in to prove my membership, and show him who I checked in with the woman who checked me in acted oblivious. She lied and didn’t affirm I checked in and I was asked to leave after I got their names and faces. This is the worst crunch I have ever been to and the employees seem to match the state of the gym. The gym is filthy and poorly upkept. There aren’t enough machines and even then they are always broken or have issues. The treadmills and stairmasters are caked with dirt and old. The bathrooms are always filled with streaks of dirt on the floor, smells of piss, and paper towels everywhere. I will not be returning.

I started here back in 2023 after just moving to Gainesville. Crunch quickly became part of my routine, but I didn't start being serious about the gym until early 2024. Cam, one of the PTs, was very informative and welcoming as I started to become serious. After working with Cam, I got stronger, and work tasks relating to lifting and cardio became easy. Thanks to Crunch and their facilities, I feel like I can do much more

Big shout out to Cam, as he has since been promoted internally, and he deserves it. It's been fantastic interacting with all the staff, and the whole gym is very welcoming and accepting of everyone.

I requested to cancel my Crunch Membership on 8/3 in person and my account is still active and I was charged on 8/25. I was told that the fees would be waived and my membership would be cancelled by the GM because of the difficulties I experienced during the cancelation process. I have reached out to the GM and AGM multiple times and have not heard back since 8/7. Trying this type of outreach to see if will get a response since regular email communication has not been affective.

I have been working out at this location for a few years now. I have been to several other locations across the country and Gainesville was a better gym up until recently. It appears that the equipment stays broken. (I understand things break but when it's broken for weeks, there is a problem.) The Gym itself is great, there is tons of equipment to use, between all the free weights and machines, plus, with all the cardio equipment you can basically do any exercise you can dream of.. my only gripe, is that it's packed, at all times, there isn't really a time where it's not completely full of people.. which, to be fair, doesn't really affect your workout too much since they have so much equipment, but do be prepared to wait 5-10 minutes per machine you want to use during peak times, besides that the staff and everyone has always been friendly and helpful! definitely one of the best gyms in town!

The worst thing is that the leg curl machines are broken and have been for about 2 months. There is a review from 4 weeks ago saying they have been broken for 3 weeks, and they are still broken. It's probably the best gym in town equipment wise besides GHF, and it's cheap. You get what you pay for. I guess that means we dont pay for leg curl machines.

I know they recently got some new manager so I'm not sure if they just don't prioritize equipment repair or something like that.

Edit: the leg extension machine is also broken now too.

Edit: two more weeks and the machines are still broken. So that is around 4 or 5 months that the led extension and leg curl machines have been broken.

Every Gym goer wants to be the hardest worker in the room. It’s impossible to do that when Detron is around. You can tell the guy loves his job because he approaches with excellence; always building connections, working hard, and helping others. There is just this presence about him. Honestly I held off on writing this review for months, but it's just gotten worse over time. Equipment is always broken, takes weeks sometimes months to be fixed. There is ALWAYS at least 5-7 treadmills or more down, and don't even get me started on the stair masters. You can always see sweat marks on the equipment, seems like they solely rely on gym folks to clean it off and they don't. Really disappointed. I pay for a full membership for half a gym. My boyfriend tried to close an account multiple times and no one put it through so when we went in person to do it the new manager made him pay for another month even though he tried requesting they close for multiple months now. Our friend also went in the other day trying use his guest passes which are unlimited. The same manager told him it would cost $10, and then allowed a white couple to walk in simply saying “she’s with me” and filling the form so they didn’t have to pay $10. After raising an issue, our friend was then told his friend needed to show a UF id at a public gym and that if they buy 2 drinks he’d let them in (so it’s not $10 after all?) highly disappointed and will be speaking to management.

I would give zero stars if I could. Canceling a membership at Crunch Fitness has been one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had with a gym. The process is intentionally complicated and designed to keep charging you even after you’ve made every effort to cancel.

To make matters worse, I spoke with someone claiming to be the GM, Mike Johnson, who was completely unprofessional. Instead of helping resolve the issue, he was dismissive, condescending, and seemed more interested in arguing than providing a solution.

This level of customer service is unacceptable for any business, especially one that relies on recurring memberships. Save yourself the headache and go to a gym that actually values its members.

Was my first time at this gym. Went with my husband and had to pay $10 for a day pass for me, that's ridiculous. No employee gave me a run down of the gym like a tour. It was very crowded, half the machines were not functioning, and didn't see but a few people wipe down machines. If there were bottles to wipe down machines it must have been very few because I didn't see them. The women bathroom was semi clean. I could go on but whatever. Im not a fan just from this visit.

Staff are friendly. Location is perfect for our current residence. Just wish they would maintain the equipment. We’ve been coming here 3-4 days a week for 1-2 hours a session for 3 months. Half the treadmills are down on a regular basis. Leg machines are rarely working. Cable machines are constantly broken or only partially functional. We’ve only seen a repair guy twice in 3 months. We pay top tier membership and they are not providing the service we pay for. I guess it’s time to find another gym if they don’t step up.

The cleanest and best fitness place in Gainesville. Live next door and feel like I spend more time here than home after work. Always super, super clean (and super, super busy.) The equipment has never been out but I have had to wait on a few machines from time to time (especially after 5pm to about 8pm.) The best times to come are dead of the night and early morning.

Also want to add if I'm on a machine I've never been on, there are THE MOST people who will nicely come up and show me how to correct my posture or offer tips. I used to look up videos on how to use a few pieces but most of the time some random gym goer shows up, helps, then goes about their day. It restores a lot of faith in humanity that people still offer help.

They offer a variety of machines to suit your exercise needs. It is usually packed but the people and staff are friendly. The terms of signing up for a membership could be more transparent.

Great gym. A few machines are broken and the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner but overall I’m satisfied with it. Sign up process is gimicky and tries to trick you into spending more money than you need to. Be careful and read the fine print when signing up.

Prepare to be harassed by employees to sign up for additional services. I joined this club 2 days ago and they will not stop calling me to upsell. When i insist that im not interested they become passive aggressive. I'm canceling my membership as soon as my plan allows for it.

Edit: These machines are constantly down. Both leg curl machines have been out for 3 weeks
