I rarely do reviews but man this is for the people new people that want to sign up, I've been around the gym culture for 5-6 years now and I've never seen such a mess of a gym and the reason I am going to cancel my membership.
1. I know the gym is new and is the new flavor in town but no matter at what hour you go expect it to be crowded and wait for the machines/benches.
2. the place is ALWAYS a hot mess, good luck trying to find the dumbells you need or the ez bar you need, you have to tour around and scout for it.
3. they NEVER have safety clips, I almost busted my head trying to do skull crushers because they didn't have no EZ bar over 100 pounds on sight and I didn't feel like touring around the gym to hunt for one, Come on man, you guys are the first gym that never have safety clips something so basic...
4. Staff its like a 50/50 some are courteous, some don't even aknowledge you when you come in, it's like they want to make you feel unwelcomed.
5. In a nutshell your 45-60 min workout it will become a 90 minute workout because of all the above.
I signed because they promised me all these upgrades, equiptments and etc etc, I'm just pointing the basic, I don't care for the pool(because If they can't get dumbells together, imagine the pool area) or any other ''fancy'' things, I just want to workout without the hassle or added inconvinience to my workout routine... me coming from a small Youfit which they always greeted me like family and always had equipments available and didn't expect much from them, coming to this corporation that reallly is not worth it says a lot...

I'm taking the time to write this review because I don't want anyone else to go through what I did. Don't take any of their private lesson offers; they're all scams. They keep charging you even after the lessons are over. When you complain, they give you some paperwork they don't explain. They sell you the service by saying you have to cancel 10 days before the payment is due, and then they blatantly scam you right in front of your face. The worst part is that the managers themselves do it. I've been in this area of ​​Homestead for 15 years, and I've never seen a business with such terrible customer service and that's so easy to scam. I’ve had a very poor experience with crunch. I was a member of 24 fitness and told that I needed to sign up for crunch while I was working out. I cancelled my membership with crunch and paid for the month they told me I owed. I still charged for the next month. I know an agreement is an agreement, but the way this transition was done is horrible. This company has very poor ethics.

I love all the changes Crunch has brought. Better layout of the exercise machines and spaces. The number of classes has increased, giving us more opportunities to enjoy the gym. New trainers, wonderful!! Please, more classes with Leanne! She provides exceptional guidance; even after just one class, I could see how expert she is in cycling. She focuses on the exercise itself, making you feel like you're working out on the bike, not dancing and running around like it's a competition. She gives clear instructions, constructive feedback, and creates a motivating environment that truly helps everyone improve.

24 Hour Fitness that used to be located in Kendal sold peoples membership to these people - Crunch Fitness! Be aware, Crunch Fitness may be charging your credit card if you were a member of the 24 Hour Fitness in Kendal! I live 25 miles from Homestead and cannot possibly workout there. I went to cancel the membership from Crunch Fitness. They would not cancel unless I paid them. I received no Welcome Letter from Crunch Fitness who as charging my credit card! The location is undergoing a full remodel and is a bit of a mess right now. HOWEVER; Compared to how 24 hour was before the gym has already come a long way.

Excellent workouts with their trainer Gio, highly recommended.

If you're planning a workout I recommend the mornings when its less crowded as it gets busy in the afternoon and the members dont clean up weights as well as the employees.

I paid for an annual membership with 24 Hour Fitness, valid until September 30, 2025. Well before that date, I stopped going to the gym (you can check history) and had no plans to renew, as I’m currently unemployed and rarely visited. On October 9, I noticed an attempted charge of $26.74, and today, October 17, I received another notice for a $90.93 charge. I called the Homestead location to stop these charges, as I never agreed to renew, didn’t sign any contract with Crunch, and haven’t used the gym in last month. The person claiming to be the supervisor said I must pay a $116 balance to cancel and that I should have disputed within 30 days. His explanation made no sense, as it hasn’t even been 30 days. It’s unreasonable to charge me for a service I didn’t request or use, especially without a direct contract. You’re quick to take money but show no concern for customer satisfaction.

I do not recommend this gym at all, fence or no fence, you have to pay once the membership is open, it does not allow you to close it because they say that you have to wait 3 months to be able to cancel and each month they charge you an annual fee of $64.19 in addition to the monthly payment, meaning that you are obliged to pay month by month even if you are not attending, then you call and no one gives you an answer. They had already told me about the bad reputation it has but I ignored it. Trust them, they don't explain everything as it is, they omit details so that you fall into the trap. I give them one star because I can't give less for God's sake than lack of respect.

This Crunch Fitness location is absolutely disgusting and poorly managed. The gym is always messy, with weights left scattered everywhere because no one re-racks them. The staff doesn’t care at all—they never clean up or organize and seem more focused on selling memberships than maintaining a safe, functional workout environment. I went to Crunch Fitness Homestead after work at night and went upstairs to do cardio. There was no paper available to disinfect the machines. Later, I went downstairs to use the weight machines and then finished in the sauna. The sauna door was filthy, which was disappointing.

I didn’t pay much attention at first since it was late and I understand the staff can’t clean every single moment. However, the next morning I went back at 7 a.m., and once again the disinfectant towel dispensers upstairs were completely empty, just like the night before. After finishing my routine, I went to the sauna again and the door was still disgusting.

This location gets a lot of traffic, so the Crunch team really needs to step up their cleaning and maintenance.

Absolutely the worst! Signing a contract is like signing your soul away. When they switched over to Crunch I have been told one lie after another from the beginning. Like the 4 times they told me next month ur membership prices will change from the old 24 he gym price to our new 32.00 price. Three months later and a lot of question I was told oh, they changed that bc the old 24 hr gym Didn’t want to let all of the customers until the contract was over. Now my contract expired last month and I was charged the annual fee for crunch Automatically without any notice, it was deducted out of my bank. I talked to the manager to cancel. We put in two cancellations one for me and one for my husband. He said he was going to submit a request for a refund and that it would take about 10 days. A month later and many more questions the days just kept getting longer from 10 to 15 to 20 and no refund. Every time I called, they told me it was approved and it’s just pending to go through the bank. Woke up this morning and got charged through my bank For a gym membership I’m not even attending and already canceled and have proof that it was canceled in documents. On top of that, there’s no explanation of how this could happen and that only half of our refund is coming back, but I have to wait a whole another month. Upon reading others reviews, I would definitely not recommend anyone sign up there at the crunch in Homestead. Main reason for leaving is it takes forever to wait for a machine to use. It is highly overpacked and I feel the amount of people in that one place at a time is against the allowed for a building that size. Not to mention I clean all equipment before using and the wipe turned black and brown. Highly unsanitary! Don’t sign up there!

This place is a scam. First they told me I could bring my 10 year old son to the gym in order to sell me a membership and then a few visits later they say it was 14. I want them to cancel the membership but instead they wanted me to pay the next month. I placed a complaint on the BBB.org and next I'm suing if that doesn't work. Next the place. The majority of equipment is out of order particularly the ones on the second floor. Over crowded with only a couple of biceps machines and leg press but they keep adding more members without repairing anything. This place is a total scam and insult to honorable citizens. We’ve always enjoyed Crunch Fitness in the past, but unfortunately had a very bad experience with a team member named Justin. He signed my wife up for services using sleight of hand tactics. We never used the services, yet we were charged $116 four separate times.

We spoke with both managers and were promised the issue was resolved, but it wasn’t. To make matters worse, Justin left the location for a while and has since returned. His integrity is questionable, and it’s something that Crunch really needs to look into.

This is especially frustrating because Crunch is a franchise, which makes it very difficult to escalate complaints to the corporate level. I’ll figure out a way to get this in front of corporate, because what happened here is egregious.

Up until this point, we had nothing but great experiences with Crunch Fitness. But this team, and this individual in particular, has really damaged our trust.

⚠️ Beware Before Signing Up at Crunch Fitness Homestead ⚠️

This gym is not a true month-to-month facility. Even their smallest membership plan of $10 a month locks you into a year commitment which you have to pay up front. They lock you into contracts that are difficult to get out of, and once you sign, you’re stuck. They charge you monthly fees plus an additional annual fee of nearly $70, which feels unreasonable and misleading.

They advertise “$1 to start” deals, but once you’re in, the costs add up fast. They also promise amenities and equipment that either aren’t available or are broken more often than not. Don’t expect what you’re sold during sign-up.

On top of that, there’s a lot of unnecessary drama among staff and trainers. The gym seems to view clients more as money-making machines than valued members. They are constantly pushing personal training packages and asking for client “support,” yet they don’t actually support their members in return.

This location is a franchise, separate from other Crunch Fitness gyms, so don’t assume the same policies apply here.

If you’re thinking about joining, read every word of the contract and ask detailed questions before signing. Otherwise, you may find yourself stuck paying more than you expected for less than you were promised.

There are plenty of other gyms in the area that offer true month-to-month memberships for around $10/month—without the hidden fees, broken equipment, or unnecessary drama.

I love this gym because of how close it is to my home which makes it extremely convenient for me however not for my pocket, not worth what you get. Any gym with the right equipment will suffice. Really which it was managed different with more client appreciation.

Bottom line: Be cautious. Crunch Fitness Homestead is not what they make it out to be.

We were wrongly charged $250 two months ago. We still cannot get anyone to answer. We been told that although there’s a training manager by the name Will in this Homestead location that a refund can only be done by a person by the name Rob is the only one who can take care of the refund. My husband has emailed, called, drove almost an hour to speak to the supposed regional manager Rob and still nothing. Over all we had to deal with the worse customer service like the employees Cliff who even refused to at least try. Cannot get a hold of anyone regarding our refund or even an apology for what we’ve gone through from this place. For sure stay away! There’s nothing positive I can say about this company.

As of right now I haven’t had any issue with the gym but on Sunday 10 of august in the afternoon I decided to go with my friends, they didn’t have a membership which mind you in the website it offers a free day pass, the unfortunate news we received from the proclaimed manager richy mit was that he couldn’t honor the free day pass that was offered in the website because the system wouldn’t allow it, I understand it’s a business and I would think if it’s still was an option in the crunch website they’d honor it or other wise it’s plane false advertising, nevertheless we tried paying for the day pass, the same manager richy mit told us he couldn’t either because again the system wouldn’t allow it but then offered the monthly subscription, but we insisted for paying the day pass and we even asked for an explanation on why the free day pass was denied if the website still offers it as an option, richy then explained “you can try in cutler bay they'll just tell you the same thing or try tomorrow but other than that I don’t know what to tell you”- “I can’t let you in because they can fire me”. I don’t know if their policy is really like that but it’s kind of unclear how the website says one thing but then in person they say another

The persistent and overly aggressive requests for identification have become frustrating to the point that it discourages me from visiting the gym altogether. Additionally, my previous membership with 24 Hour Fitness was not canceled in a timely manner, and when it finally was, no refund was offered for the delay. If you’re thinking of joining this gym because of the pool or hot tub, I really wouldn’t recommend it. I’ve been coming here for years, and the way they handle the pool and spa has always been a problem. They constantly overload both with chlorine, so much that just standing near them makes it hard to breathe. The air gets filled with that sharp, chemical smell, and it honestly feels like the chlorine is invading your lungs.

This week was especially bad. I usually swim for about an hour, but I had to get out after just 10 minutes because I couldn’t stop coughing. My skin was red, itchy, and super uncomfortable afterward. It’s frustrating, and it’s not the first time this has happened. What worries me even more is seeing how many elderly people regularly use the pool and hot tub. They’re the most at risk, and this environment can’t be good for them.

The issue comes down to poor training. Whoever is in charge of maintaining the pool clearly believes that more chlorine means a cleaner pool, which is a common but dangerous mistake. Even with the new owners, nothing has changed. They’re continuing the same harmful habits.

If swimming or using the spa is part of why you’re considering this gym, I’d strongly suggest looking somewhere else. Until they take proper care of the facilities and hire people who actually know what they’re doing, this place just isn’t worth it.

Love the changes. Bathrooms are notably cleaner and pool area has gotten some touch ups. Excellent place to swim if you're training for triathlon. Nothing beats an indoor pool. Fitness studio is now open and available for floor workouts any time, I really appreciate having it accessible again. Thank you!. I am looking forward to the new spin bikes that are expected soon for the upstairs cardio area. I was skeptical about the change at first, but now, I am happy with the new management. It's a definite upgrade.

If i could give zero stars i would.. Moved back to Miami recently, signed up for this gym because 1$ promotion, and it's by far the worse gym ever. Everyone is packed onto one side of the gym like sardines. Multiple machines broken, rust everywhere, and there is literally groups of people waiting for 1 machine.. This building is huge, with so much potential. Crunch took over and completely ruined the vibe and experience.. There was not enough dumbells for everyone to use, or attachments for cable machines.. I could go on about how bad this gym is.. I spent more time waiting to use machines then actually working out.. My girlfriend was a 24 Hour member who is paying more then new members now, and they don't tell you about the price changes unless you ask. They purchased 24hour and did not notify anyone of the changes. I will be canceling my membership and going elsewhere.

This place is now never opened past 11pm and it closes at 7pm on weekends. Ever since the transition, these staff have not refilled the paper towels not once since I’ve visited and they’ve taken out all the hand sanitizer machines; leaving one to have to respond to the restroom to clean their hands.

Plus, there aren’t even any paper towels in the bathrooms! All we have to clean equipment are little wipes that one would use to clean a shopping cart.

I know they’re still transitioning, but a lot of the machines are bunched up together and we are Crunched together like sardines.

I would rather pay whatever it costs to have it open 24 hours again.

One word to describe this gym: CATASTROPHIC.

My experience has been terrible from start to finish. They changed from a 24-hour gym to Crunch without notifying anyone: no sign, no email, no message. I simply showed up one day to work out and found the gym closed due to new hours that were never announced.

They removed the basketball court, changed the layout—it’s a total mess. No one asked if I wanted to continue paying for a completely different service than the one I originally signed up for. I signed a contract with 24, not with Crunch. They changed the prices, yet continued charging me the old rate.

When I went to cancel my membership, the receptionist was very kind and called the manager to see how they could help. However, Manager Marcos Pérez was anything but helpful. He charged me $48 to cancel a membership I hadn’t used in over a month and refused to refund the difference between the $40 I paid and the current rate of $27.

A total lack of respect for customers.
This is not just unfair—it’s absolutely actionable.

They’ve lost a customer for good.
There are plenty of gyms out there. I do not recommend this one under any circumstance.

This location used to be a 24-hour fitness and while it had its problems they were typical on the staff was responsive.

Ever since crunch took over the hours have been reduced by like 40% but they have increased the cost of the membership after taking away the pull and the hot tub and the basketball court.

They took out the money out of my account the month before crunch took over so I've already paid for a year and I'm so dissatisfied with the staff.

They don't have towels to wash your hands or even soap in the bathrooms So everyone's going around wiping their butts without washing their hands because they closed the bathroom and leave no soap,

What kind of place charges more money for less amenities and poor service because this was brought up to the staff about the soap, the hours, and the bathrooms.

If you're ignore me who doesn't go to the gym you'll probably walk in and say oh wow this looks nice. However, if you've ever been to a real gym before especially like the 24 that was here before then you'll immediately notice the downgrade and service, amenities and most importantly the hours because if you can't get in here to train after work then a membership doesn't do you much good
I'm not even going to proofread this because I'm using voice to text and I tried to get a workout in after work on a Friday night but it's closed at 10:15 p.m.

During my winter break from college, I had the opportunity to meet with the General Manager at Crunch Homestead. A connection was made through a daily member who helped bridge the gap and get the conversation started.
The meeting itself was professional, quick, and encouraging. The manager reviewed my resume, expressed genuine interest, and mentioned he would follow up with me the following week. After the holidays, I returned to follow up in person and was told he had left for vacation. Unfortunately, I never received any communication after that—no call, email, or update.
While the initial interaction was positive and respectful, the lack of follow-through left things unresolved. Even a quick message to close the loop would have made the experience feel more complete and professional.

Crunch Fitness's arrival in Homestead, taking over the former 24 Hour Fitness, is a disaster in its current form. The facility is unclean, the bathrooms are filthy, and the pool and basketball court are gone. Ignore any glowing reviews you see – they are misleading. Crunch Fitness's decision to stay open during what should be essential renovations, rather than risk membership loss, speaks volumes about their current priorities. I was never given a notice about the change after I paid for 24hrs, have some consideration for people and children that loved the basketball court, the hours and pool. we would've paid more if you given us the option stating you need more space for what trainers that only care about selling and this obvious this is ment for a certain type of people not everyone. all this gym cares about selling their trainers and fake promotions walking around the gym disruptive to everyone workouts. now it's packed more than ever because the hours it's incredible. 1.5 million for renovations lol for long term member it's a gym not a resort it's obvious this is a agenda you can tell higher ups don't know what they are doing just want people to follow certain rules and cater to certain type of people.

Ever since the changes, this gym has gone completely downhill. It’s always overcrowded — not with people working out, but with groups just standing around socializing. It feels more like a hangout spot than a gym. The noise level is ridiculous; the music is constantly blasting so loud I can’t even hear myself think, let alone have a conversation.

What’s worse is that no one notified the 24-hour members about any of this. They just funneled everyone from Crunch Cutler Bay into this location without warning, and now it’s a complete mess. Machines are always taken, the gym is in chaos, and it takes forever just to get through a workout.

I originally left Crunch Cutler Bay to avoid this exact situation. Now it’s like nothing changed — actually, it’s worse. The new limited hours are terrible too. At the very least, they should’ve kept it open 24/7 for members who rely on late-night workouts.

Maybe it’ll improve after renovations, but right now, it’s just frustrating and disappointing.

Anyone who rates this more than 1 star is either is New and got a first good impression from the employees or they clearly never been there before.
1. It’s even more packed than it was before because crunch brings a lot of members.
2. basketball court is closed
3. It’s not open 24 hours anymore
4. You have to ask A LINE OF PEOPLE to get on ONE MACHINE
5. You have to go searching for weights because either people leave it where they want or they don’t unrack the bar they used and put the weights back where they’re supposed to
6. I heard the saunas are horrible from others, thankfully I don’t use the sauna
7. And once again, it’s a god damn festival in there. Can’t walk around, can’t workout anywhere , and can’t even use the machines without waiting for a big line of people.
