Update as of 11/30/2025: EXTREMELY disappointed lately with how the gym is handling the influx is social media recording. The tripods and recording seems to be going unchecked here, to where members—and even the trainers employed by the gym—will set up tripods in major walkways and record people without their consent. I’ve seen many members uncomfortably adjust their workouts and walking paths to avoid being recorded. When mentioned to the staff about one person blocking an entire area for their recording setup, they said they would “take a look”—but they didn’t even leave the front desk area and this person continues to block the major area for 30 minutes. They don’t seem to be aware of the recording policy on their own website, which includes:

“We are also sensitive to the fact that other members and guests may not want to appear in the background of a digital photograph or video. As such, we prohibit any use of photography or videos that include other members or guests in the frame unless they have consented to being filmed or photographed, and it is against company policy (and in some cases not legally permissible) to photograph or video record other members or guests without their knowledge and consent.”

Edit: Now that this gym is open, I can say that it is a great location. The equipment is new and the staff is very friendly. I plan to keep coming to this location.

Not sure how these people are reviewing a location that hasn’t opened yet. I will update my review when the location opens.
Update: As of 6/1/2020, this location is still not open. The official website also still states that this location is “coming soon.”

Update: As of 7/4/2020, this location is still not open. The staff at the Tampa Palms location mentioned that they ran into some contracting issues and they don’t have a date as to when it opens yet.
Update: As of 8/26/2020, this location is still not open. A Crunch sales associate was running around Target the other day and was trying to get people to sign up by chasing them down with a pen and paper with their contact forms (social distancing?). I asked her when the location was going to open and she said that it would not be open until late fall.

Overcharged my wife’s account several times, she has silver sneakers annd should not have been charged and they misrepresented the terms of enrollment. I was told my subscription had no annual fee but when I cancelled my membership they charged me an annual fee. This gym is more of a problem than it’s worth. Stay far away from this place.

*BEWARE* If you need to cancel your membership, do so at least 60 days before your mbrship is set to renew. Otherwise, because it's within 30 days of canceling, you have to pay the next years renewal fee in addition to the current months payment. Only because their terms are "payments due within 30 days of canceling are required."
I get the current month but it doesn't make any sense to me to have to pay the next year's reenrollment fee if you are canceling.

RE: the owners response. The annual fee is collected for the upcoming year, which isn't taking place and for which the current year was already paid. Your policy is general enough to cover "any fees" but that doesn't make it any less ridiculous. Your employee and your claimed district manager had to search through the contract and finally settled on that broad statement. Your cancellation document that my daughter had to sign in person, was less general. You offered to help... recognize it for what it is. I requested other people I could contact and was offered only a po box.

I have been a member of Crunch LOL for years and have consistently experienced exceptional service. The staff is remarkably friendly, and I am always greeted with a warm smile during my typical arrival times between 4 AM and 7 AM. The staff made everyone feel like family. The front desk personnel demonstrate excellent multitasking abilities, ensuring efficient service for all members. The gym maintains a high standard of cleanliness, with cleaning staff regularly sanitizing all equipment, including treadmills. Any equipment malfunctions are promptly addressed, with machines marked as unavailable and typically repaired within the same day or the next. All equipment is new. They also recently updated the whole gym. Really the nicest gym I've been a member of. This facility is notably spacious and provides a diverse range of classes, so many rooms to do your workout in away from the other busier areas. Members consistently exhibit courtesy and respect towards one another, contributing to a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. I have made so many friends here. All of the above mentioned are just few of the reasons why I love and enjoy going to this gym everyday. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my membership due to relocation. The cancellation process was seamless, with no unexpected additional fees. I highly recommend Crunch in Land O Lakes.

I visited the crunch at Land o lakes location as a guest but was turned away by the front desk and manager due to not having an ID. I understand the importance of security protocols but a more flexible approach might be helpful. The lack of understanding and empathy from the staff was surprising. Perhaps some additional training on customer service would be beneficial.
I would not recommend going there again.

Scammers, stay away!!! As others have said all they do is lie and do whatever they can to keep billing. The personal trainers only care about promoting themselves with their IG videos and bs training tips. They have double charged us, never removed a payment method even telling us they did multiple times. Tried to cancel and even have the paperwork and they still continue to charge. When I ask who can take care of the problem? Their response is no one and "they just work here". The most unprofessional place I have ever seen in my life. Really sad that scams like this can exist and the only way to truly stop payment is going through your card company to stop payment because they do nothing but lie. The last straw was them scolding us over the phone saying we had to come in to cancel. So I did and when I asked questions they told me to leave.... so what is it, come in and cancel or dont get upset when they cant help you in the facility. Stay away at all costs, it will cause you more health problems than their "personal trainers" would ever help you.

I have been going to this Crunch for three years and have had an overall great experience aside from a couple hard times. There is lots of useful equipment and plenty of space. I was a loyal Crunch member for over 10 years, but cancelled my membership after a deeply disappointing visit. I brought my brother along with an online guest pass, only to be told it wouldn’t be honored because he had a membership six years ago at a different location. That policy wasn’t clearly stated anywhere. Dan (aka “Dan the Man”) refused to make any accommodations and showed zero regard for customer service.

Worse, during the tour, the sales rep made an inappropriate comment about women in the “BBL room,” which was offensive and unprofessional.

This location is the biggest in the U.S. right now and has an absolute ton of free weight and machine equipment, rooms for HIIT, Aerobics, Boxing, Spin and even an abs/glutes room. Extremely awesome staff that are incredibly kind, helpful and humble in all interactions I've had so far. I've been coming here about 6 months and definitely think I'm getting a great bang for my buck and I've been going to gyms all around the world for decades.

I was told it would bill 1 more time because it requires 30 day notice. Two months and another payment posted. I called the closest club where I cancelled and they told me they should have never told me they could

I can’t say enough great things about the daycare at this gym! My 15-month-old daughter has been going for a little over a month, and the entire staff has made us feel so welcome and cared for from the very beginning.

New guy working the front desk at crunch fitness land o lakes turned the place into a Spanish club for back to back to back obnoxious repetitive Spanish speaking songs for 40+ minutes I was there. I repeated asked the crunch worker to stop playing Spanish music and play English speaking music but he refused. Hope management can fix this.. if this is not fixed.. This is literally the worst administration team I have EVER met. I moved here from TN, and I was stopped by one of the employees saying that I had to create a brand new membership with them even though I already had an active Crunch membership that I created when I lived in TN. He told me that I HAD to create a new membership with the Land O Lakes location to be able to work there and would need to cancel my TN location membership. (Which I could not do because I no longer live there) I asked why because it’s a national gym where I should be able to use my membership no matter where I’m currently located. He told me that was just the rules for this specific location. He literally refused to let me work out unless I sat there and created a whole new membership. He then told me he would be the one to call my old gym location back in TN and have them cancel my membership for that location so that I didn’t have to because normally you have to be in person to cancel memberships and that isn’t feasible for me. A month came around and I saw where I was charged for 2 memberships. I went up to the counter and told them what happened but they told me that I needed to contact the TN location. So, I contacted them and they told me that these people scammed me to get their numbers up and told me that he had spoke to the general manager of the Land O Lakes location and said I would be getting a full refund for the months I paid double gym memberships and a refund for the double annual fee that I paid due to having 2 memberships. It’s been 4 months and I’m STILL being charged for 2 memberships and have no received a refund for anything. Nobody seems to care whatsoever and refuse to do anything they say they are going to do to help. They scam people out of their money just to make their numbers look better. Don’t waste your time with this team.

Nice gym, clean with maintained equipment. The only drawback is that they are open 24 hours during the week and close early on weekends. As someone that works during the week every day, I would prefer 24 hours on weekends and to close during the week nights at a reasonable time (10 PM or 11 PM). I have been here for several years. They constantly hire and it is a revolving door. I take classes and the yoga class overlaps with a previous class, so you are not receiving your correct time allotted as it is cut short. They have staff members randomly taking photos of us without permission. They even have staff at the door waiting for you to sign in, but they never put the sign in sheets out on time. They then chase us down to sign in and come into our classes with a clip board for the second time to further delay our classes. At this point they owe us a refund for not being able to take our classes for the entire time.

I’ve been coming to this gym for 2 years and it’s amazing! The staff is always professional and welcoming. I did lots of classes but after doing HIIT that is my go to at 7am. At first it was intimidating but the regulars and the trainer, Charles is the best. He always changes it up to make sure we are working out the whole body and helpful if you need modification!
