I’ve been coming to this Crunch location long enough to confidently say the manager at the front desk has one of the worst attitudes I’ve ever experienced in a customer-facing role. Every time I walk in, she gives the same stank, irritated expression like acknowledging members is a burden. She never says hello when we enter, never says goodbye when we leave, and never shows even the smallest amount of basic courtesy.

What makes it worse is that she carries herself like she’s too bothered to speak or look up, even though she doesn’t appear busy with anything. She’s physically present but completely disconnected, and the energy she gives off makes the entire gym feel less welcoming from the moment you walk through the door.

Crunch really needs to reevaluate who they’re putting in charge here, because she is single-handedly making this location feel unprofessional and uninviting. There are plenty of Crunch gyms where the staff actually acknowledges members — this one just isn’t one of them.

Attended this facility on a non-contractual bases. Gym changed the amount of payment without notifying me. I terminated my attendance and the gym kept trying to charge me for not only monthly fees, but a once a year "Administrative " fee. Eventually the company had the guall to report this to my credit report. Fellow gym enthusiasts beware of company loophole scandals. Reporting to BBB. NOT ON MY WATCH!

I love crunch ! I was on the Stairmaster and didn’t feel to good I got off started walking around because I wasn’t feeling my best and Arimar the manager of the front desk approached me and check if I was okay . I love that the staff is paying attention to the members . She told me go get something to eat and come back I fasted for breakfast and I didn’t feel my best . 10/10 for the Staff and how concerned and friendly the staff is .

This is a decent gym equipment and cleanliness wise. People working at the front desk are cordial, but the loud music during HIIT classes makes me want to cancel my membership (and likely 3 other memberships of family members that feel the same way).

I'm not a person to leave negative reviews on places, especially if I haven't attempted to bring it to the attention of staff for them to correct it! Unfortunately I have! For months! And numerous times! I will say I enjoy coming here because of the bond I've created with staff and other fellow gym attendees! I'm a regular attendee that comes 4-5 days a week. It's a very friendly environment for all the attendees. However, things can definitely be fixed as far as machines. I'm not going to go into detail as far as other things except what I have personally complained about and have brought to numerous amounts of staff attention.I've been complaining about the punching bags for months and months! With a record of current staff and former staff being made aware of my concerns.The facility has 4 bags; all 4 of them are damaged and need to be restuffed! And 3 of them are hanging too low! At one point we had at least one good bag, but due to all the boxers attempting to go to the 1 bag! That bag is now damaged with the stuffing hanging out of it! You have to literally restuff the top of the bag every few punches. It's honestly not a hard accommodation to fix. They could have had one staff member take all four bags down and restuff them! Or did them one by one, just one day at a time.For me to be a regular attendant that gets along with everyone there, I definitely thought it would be more effort to make the simple fix. If it weren't for me being so cool with everybody, including the staff, there is a very high chance I would've canceled a long time ago simply off of feeling played with! Are there other things that can be fixed in the gym? Yes, but what gym doesn't need something corrected? I'm just frustrated about this never being handled, but I pay on time, and my annual fee for sure gets taken! Hopefully after seeing this something will finally get done about the bags, and I can remove my comment and change my star rating.

I’ve been a Crunch member for over 3 years in another Crunch location and love the Zumba classes, but was extremely disappointed with the rude treatment I received at the Pempobre location during the Zumba Summer Event. I brought my sister as a guest (my plan includes unlimited guests), and the front desk staff refused to let her join the class, even though the instructor had said guests were allowed. The staff member was unfriendly and even asked to see my phone to "prove it." the whatsapp messages from the zumba instructor inviting non members as it was approved by Crunch. He didn’t explain alternatives, was rude and did not let her go as a free pass either because she was a member 6 months ago . How do you go back to a gym that you can even try the class and make sure they have no intention to encourage you to come back? Crunch promotes community( actually their zumba instructors, not their front desk oir manager rep) . Very disappointing that even the manager has poor customer service and no willing to truly help their members and encourage people to be at Crunch.

Honestly if I could give ZERO stars I would. This has nothing to do with staff just the facility itself. For the last 3 years I’ve used Gainesville fl crunch and have had nothing bad to say but simply this location (PINES & PALM ; Pembroke Pines FL) is NOT handicapped friendly as a woman. Their “handicapped” shower is a pathetic example of what NOT to do. Firstly the quality of the water is so terrible my eyes were burning it was like I jumped in a pool with my eyes open. Secondly the part that holds the moveable shower head was broken so I couldn’t run water down my back/front while using soap so it took twice as long. Thirdly, the shower bench might as well be a toothpick it is not meant for all bodies. I didnt feel comfortable enough to put my whole weight on it so that limited my shower abilities greatly. Fourthly, the hand rails were NOT textured so when wet there is ZERO GRIP! Also to mention it is a roll in but there’s no grip tape so wear your shower slippers! Moving between machines was also quite difficult as they’ve jammed all the corded machines so close together. They also have a mix of new and old machines so it’s not cohesive looking/ aesthetic. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

AS STATED ABOVE GAINESVILLE LOCATION IS AMAZING! Pembroke Pines location per attached photo is NOT! Be warned! And this is absolutely posted in the correct place despite their response to me!

In addition the handicapped bathroom stall had NO WHERE to hang my bag and the sanitary bag normally attached to a wall was simply sitting on the ground next to the toilet. Seams like they need some much NEEDED maintenance!

Crunch Fitness Pembroke Pines is a complete scam. I canceled my membership and was told I owed nothing. Fast forward, and now my credit is wrecked because these clowns sent me to collections for $284 I was NEVER told about. I called, emailed, begged them to fix it—and they basically said “too bad.”

They lied to my face, told me I didn’t owe anything, and now act like it’s my fault. They’re cowards hiding behind policies and collections agencies. If you want to have your credit destroyed and be treated like garbage after giving them your business, this is the perfect gym for you.

Tuvimos que resolver y tolerar este mal momento ya que en ello se crean microorganismos 🦠 malos para cualquiera de nosotros, entonces no están preparados para estas situaciones? Dónde está la higiene? El cuidado de la salubridad de los miembros ? Me dio tristeza realmente y me da miedo que se afecte nuestra salud ☹️😔 no fue buena respuesta de la parte de la persona que atiende allí un chico no capacitado y no reaccionan a este tipo de situaciones! This was the worst experience I have had at a gym. I got a guest pass to try out crunch fitness for the first time but was met by a very rude front desk attendant Erica. She was dismissive and kept saying I have been at crunch fitness before when this was the first time. She continued to say she didn’t care and was unhelpful. I ended up going to the new crunch fitness in Plantation, FL only 10 minutes away and was met by helpful representatives and got a full time membership at that location. I would not recommend this gym to anyone especially since there are better locations nearby such as West Pembroke and Plantation.

I moved out of the state and have been trying to cancel my membership with them for over a week. They stopped replying to my emails after having me confirm cancelation and accept their 10 dollar fee. The fee has not been charged to my account and my membership is still not being canceled. Avoid the gym and they horrible practices. Especially after florida put into place that they have to allow for easy cancelations on memberships and subscriptions.

Be careful of this gym they are charging me for services that I have not used. I've been charged twice once every 3 months for services that have not used at all i won't recommend this gym they will charge you without your consent if you could see the proof that I have sent, I have been in the philippines and won't return into June 1st

Tried to sign up for a free pass — first visit I was turned away by the front desk person for not having my ID, even though I offered to leave my credit card or something else. Came back a week later with my ID, and it was the same front desk person. She looked up my number, saw I was a member 6 years ago at a different location, and said I couldn’t get a pass. I just moved to the area and wanted to check out how busy it was before 7am. Worst gym experience I’ve had. Same front desk person both times, no flexibility, no customer care.

Probably the worst crunch location. They have a reputation so beware. I’m fairly new to crunch and still learning about the different facilities etc. I walked in to this location for a 9am hiit class and the front desk barely let me get a word in before telling me I cannot access this gym my home gym is Hallandale which is clearly not open til summer. Mind you I’ve gone to 3 other crunch gyms with 10/10 customer service nothing like this location so I was extremely caught of guard. she also didn’t suggest maybe another location nearby or even look into my account she didn’t ask my name number or anything. If you’re looking for a bad time this is exactly where you should go.

Been coming here for years off and on and I can say this gym has everything you need. It is never too packed and people and staff are friendly. Recently added a few new pieces of equipment and for the price you can't beat it. No pushy trainers walking around making you feel like you necessarily need them to get results but friendly enough for the occasional spot here and there if you did have a couple of questions. I'm hesitant to post a good review because I want to keep the crowd to a minimal lol but very happy here.

Unauthorized charges, Misleading billing practices, and Deceptive employee conduct:
On 2/13/25, I visited Crunch Pembroke Pines to cancel my membership. Employee Sebastian assured me that I would only need to pay a $10 cancellation fee and 1 month membership fee, with no further charges. I was forced to sign a screen without being shown the final amount or provided a breakdown of charges. I later discovered that I was also charged an annual fee, which was never disclosed to me at any point. When I raised my concerns, Manager Luisa Martinez refused to acknowledge the misleading billing and insisted that I was responsible for paying the unauthorized charges.

This Crunch is a smaller than most others, as I frequent Crunch's when I travel. It had one bench press, one incline bench press, and only 4 benches at the dumbbell rack. Because of that, people hover around you to grab your equipment as soon as they can, making for a less-than-stellar experience.

I went at 10:30 am, so not prime time... I can't imagine what it's like during peak hours.

EDIT: So just like all the negative reviews that this gym has gotten, mine was met with a defensive and deterrent response. Instead of trying to see whether or not I actually came to this gym to get help with my membership, which I did and the only thing addressed was that I’m “not a member” and not that I came (check your cameras), and to see if it could be made right - the prideful owner came back with a sharp and peevish reply. In the same vein that the other replies this owner responded to, there will be no resolution as the owner’s pride and ego allows their judgement to be clouded by the need to “defend” this abhorrent establishment.

I stand by my review and will NOT be deleting a truthful and accurate depiction of my experience at this location.

The best gym I have ever been to in my life! The staff makes you feel right at home and are incredibly kind. a few months back, I was working out at the squat station, it was early in the morning on a Wednesday, I’m literally in the middle of doing a workout, these 2 women are staring at me, I thought about ignoring them, but after I finished my set, I took off my headphones, and they asked me if I was done, I thought that was a stupid question because there’s still an empty squat station next to me, so I told them , and continued my workout, next thing you know, I can clearly see them talking to one of the personal trainers, the personal trainer rudely tells me I cannot do Leg workouts with dumbbells at the squat station, mind you I was the first one here, both squat stations were empty, 3. They could’ve worked out together… 4. I’ve been working out at this gym since 2018, for six years, I never had an issue until no, but I didn’t say anything, I just left the station and continued my workout on the turf, I was very upset…
Then last week, I’m sitting in my car, fixing my preworkout, when I hear a loud bang, a different personal trainer this time opens her car door and hits my vehicle, now I’m aware that it may have been an accident, but I open my car door that way she can see that someone is inside, and I expect an apology… she doesn’t say anything… anyway, this has been my experience, everyone else is cool

If I could leave 0 stars I would. The Colombian manager is not polite at all. They don’t let you bring a buddy in with you in the sauna even if you have the peak results membership (the most expensive one) and you have to bring an extra shirt to the sauna just to sit on because they don’t like cleaning the sauna after you. From a paying member of this community and a competing athlete trying to cut weight in the sauna I could tell you this was not a good experience at all.

I had an issue with my account earlier because my home club was changed, when I called the location no one answered this left me extremely frustrated. To my surprise Carlos the manager called me back and fixed the issue immediately which o greatly appreciated. I absolutely appreciate Yaima as an instructor. She is fun and makes the workout experience one to come back to again and again. I am not a morning person but I am up and racing to class to participate. What I appreciate the most about Yaima's classes is that she takes the time to show me proper form so I do not injure myself. I also love the challenging workouts and the motivation she provides for me to get it done at 6AM!

I’ve been coming to this location for 3 years and I love it. The people there are great energy and have great attitude. They are clean and equipment is always maintained. I take the HIIT classes and the instructors are knowledgeable and motivating. Yes it’s a smaller gym comparing to others but I love the intimate environment and smaller crowds. You don’t have to worry about long wait time for a machine.

Front desk guy stares up and down the girls working out like a hawk, no sanitary wipes to wipe down the equipment, mans locker room smells like a swamp, shower has no water pressure and only cold water available, trash all over the floors and overflowing trash cans. This gym locks in into canceling in person at the gym even if you sign up through the app like I did, person on the phone was rude about explaining this borderline predatory practice. The managers are ignoring emails, you're better off going anywhere else this place is terrible.

Edit: Yes this me the one Kamil you see in the system and it's 100% right place this is the review of my experience at the time when I was there last and I sure wish to never come back.

Edit 2: Carlos Duque the acting manager will lie to you and say he'll cancel the membership then never follow through with it, further delaying the cancellation process so you will get charged another month, this person as well as this company seems to do this to everyone please do your research before you make the mistake of signing up here there are dozens upon dozens of people dealing with the same issue as I am.

Been coming for a few months and using their Sauna. Suddenly I go to use the Sauna and they suddenly say a towel is needed to use the Sauna. They said it’s been a rule but I’ve been to this sauna plenty of times before and there was never an issue. I asked the worker if I could use the sauna this one time and I’ll bring a towel next time now that I know, but he said I couldn’t and had to pay $3 for a towel. He said it’s a rule the manager placed. So I canceled my membership and will be moving my membership to the crunch in West Pines where that rule doesn’t exist. They talk about cleanliness but don’t even put spray to clean machines in their cleaning stations…terrible service

This Crunch is functional, but severely lacking in equipment. If you go at any other time besides very early or very late, you can expect to either wait or alter your workout. There’s nearly the same amount of space for cardio equipment as weights. I have rarely seen even half of the cardio equipment being used at one time.

The good is the staff is very friendly and the gym is clean. The gym needs a facelift and it will be great with some alterations.

Me encantan las clases de la instructora Yaima. Se ve que le gusta muchísimo ayudar y motivar a las personas a que vivan un estilo de vida saludable. Me conmovió recientemente en cómo manejo sus problemas personales sin abandonarnos a los miembro de las 6am. Es por ella que he seguido en este gimnasio ya que no puedo asistir a clases en la tarde. Es súper puntual y respetuosa, se esmera para que miembros como yo tengamos una buena rutina de ejercicios, con retos y muchas veces fuertes, pero me ha permitido tener mejor salud física y mental. Today, I had a very disappointing experience at the gym. I arrived 15 minutes late to the Zumba class, and the front desk (Lotti) was extremely rude, not allowing me to join the class and then she was looking for me to remove from the class. This was my first time being late, and I was informed that the gym had recently changed the rules without any prior notification to the members. I specifically signed up for this gym because of the Zumba classes and the excellent instructor Javier. It is very frustrating to receive this kind of treatment without prior notice. I believe the gym should communicate any policy changes to its members in a timely and respectful manner
