I had the worst gym experience of my life at crinch. It was so Bad it changed my life in a really awful way. The manager Melanie is a cruel young woman, I would even say vicious. I got picked on for no reason and now I found out my heart is going into cardiac arrest or it already did from too much stress and sadness, how cruel this world has become I paid a lot of money and I didn't even get to use the membership because I couldn't take it in my heart anymore

The Sunday 9:30 am, “Ride” class with AJ is absolutely incredible! He’s lively, and super personable. He really knows how to connect with everyone in the room. The energy he brings is contagious, and his playlist is on point! You’ll find yourself clapping, singing along, and pushing harder without even realizing it.
If you want a fun, high-energy spin class that makes you actually look forward to Sunday mornings, come ride with AJ. You won’t regret it!

Was looking to get Into fitness decided to go here and participated in the firstDiscounted training session and trainer was great, but after that, I tried to go alone I just felt like it wasn’t for me and expressed to them that I just didn’t think the gym was a fit for me. I was told that I would Still have to pay the annual fee, even if I was canceling in the first 30 days and then was told that if I didn’t make the payment that it would go to collections and just be a worse process worst gym experience wish I didn’t have to give them one star

I was extremely upset today going into Crunch at Stuart being treated the way I was from Tyler the Personal Trainer Mgr I was hit by a van in June out on workmen’s comp came back to unfreeze my account last week and started getting billed for the time I was out of commission he was very unhelpful and rude no wonder they change mgr there all the time he claims I we 232 in training and 29 in membership fees and I was hurt since June I haven’t been there I thought this was taken care of
I’m writing a letter to Corporate and will be telling my story all over the internet I’m shocked and appalled of how I was treated and I will be calling my lawyer BECAREFUL PEOPLE GO TO ANOTHER GYM

Beware of shady billing and poor customer service.
I’ve been dealing with unauthorized charges and duplicate memberships from Crunch Fitness Stuart, FL, for months. Despite multiple calls and in-person visits, the billing issue was never corrected — and the gym kept charging my account long after I canceled and they confirmed it was fixed.

The repeated withdrawals even caused overdraft fees, and management offered no real help or accountability. It’s now escalated to formal complaints with consumer protection agencies because this location refuses to take ownership.

If you’re thinking about joining, watch your bank statements closely and get every promise in writing. The facility might look nice, but the business practices are anything but.

Wow walked in here looking for a membership and let's just say how judgmental these people were. Very rude and nasty I will never be back here and I would advise everyone to stay away from this location! Specifically Silainy Fernandez and Kelly Barrera! ***Update** this was a year ago. If you really were concerned it wouldn't have taken 365 plus days to answer. Get bent!

I am very disappointed with the level of professionalism at this gym. After canceling my membership in person, I was still charged for additional billing cycles. When I attempted to resolve this matter over the phone, my calls were either abruptly disconnected or handled in a dismissive manner. This lack of accountability and disregard for customer service is unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone considering a membership here to be aware of these practices and to avoid.

The gym is clean, equipment decent, but watch out for the contract. They will say there are no commitments but do not be fooled. Hiding behind the small monthly fee is a large annual fee and a three month commitment. You have to notify the gym 30 days in advance of cancelling, meaning you almost inevitably pay another month. You cannot cancel in advance either, in the case you are moving. You cannot cancel via the online portal, at least in the case of this specific gym. The gym has not responded to my multiple emails asking to cancel after moving.

I recommend going to LA Fitness or planet fitness before going the this prejudice establishment crunch liftless..

Tried to bring a friend to a group fitness class while they were considering a membership, but the experience was unfortunately very uncomfortable. We felt overwhelmed by repeated sales tactics even after explaining multiple times that she was not interested because of the relentlessness from staff members, particularly Nir and Gabriella. Withholding her ID for almost and hour. It left a bad impression and ultimately discouraged my friend from joining. I hope the management can address how guests are approached so future visitors feel more welcome.

I would strongly caution against signing up for a corporate membership. Management is disorganized, and every manager seems to give a different explanation when it comes to billing and payments. This inconsistency has led to me being overcharged multiple times, with no clear resolution. Whether it’s poor communication or a lack of training, the experience has been frustrating and unprofessional. Definitely not what I expected. I’m going somewhere else!

Many times pieces of equipment are broken and take a prolonged period of time to repair. The gym is abnormally hot and management refuses to run the fans at a speed above turtle speed because the geriatric members complain that they are cold while “working out”. The rest of the members are uncomfortable and unnecessarily hot because they will not turn the fan up.

Sincerely,
Member that swears when actually working out and not here for social hour.

I brought 2 grandkids to Crunch for one day visit and they billed me for their monthly membership for 6 months by with drawing money from my BANK? The desk people knew it was a one day event. When I asked for the money to be refunded I was told NO. Then I quit the corrupt club. I was told I had to pay another $400 for my personal trainer even tho those days were in the future and I had just paid $400 for personal trainer fees already paid. Buyer beware. These are not nice business people to deal with. I suggest you check with the front desk about how you quit at least 3 weeks in advance (they have some charge) and NEVER bring anyone for a one day visit so they rip you off. One would think they would be proactive about correcting their mistake, but nope! Crunch is a bad business. Look over the bad reviews and get out while you can.

Have given this place about six months to generate an honest opinion. I’m a firm believer and calling a spade a spade and not letting my emotion dictate how I Review an establishment. I have been in and out of different gyms For the past 15 years, Including: Garage gyms, storage, locker, gyms, outdoor gyms, cheap gyms, expensive gyms, division one collegiate level gyms, And I can truly say in all honesty that this facility is the most frustrating gym I have ever worked out in. There is complete and utter disrespect for the gym culture as a whole, zero cleanliness, zero gym etiquette, And it appears zero management. There is a 100% chance youvwill have to unrack someone’s weight before using equipment. There is a 99.9% chance you will either have to wipe down someone else’s equipment or just sit in their sweat. There is a 3 to 5% chance of the equipment you were using has a set of plates that will accommodate the way you need without having to hunt it down. I understand that the membership is affordable, but it is very apparent that you get with you pay for. I understand that people are not born, knowing the etiquette and respect that goes into working out amongst a group of peers, But there is also no accountability by the staff present. The locker room facilities and restrooms are embarrassingly disgusting. And it is a shame that this place has some really nice cutting edge equipment that is otherwise abused by the clientele. I am grateful that I am only coming here on a guest membership because this facility is not worth more than $10 a month. If you’re looking for cheap and don’t mind entering a facility with zero gym etiquette, Then you would be just fine here. If you’re looking for an environment that prioritizes socializing as much as exercising, you will enjoy it here. if you’re looking to Put your head down and grind out an efficient workout without having to include unracking and searching for weights into your workout, Then you might wanna consider a different establishment.

I'm still thinking. I'm excited about newer machines and a lower price, as I am on a fixed income. At 78 years old and climbing, I want to look good in the box. :) I signed up for a free pass, so we shall see. I am currently at the Martin Health gym. The people are great, but the equipment is a bit old. The price is higher, too. I'm not interested in the classes and most of the extras; it is only a few more miles away. I only gave three stars because I have not yet been there.

This place is a joke. Overcrowded and zero brain cells when it comes to their communication. I had a card expire and apparently received calls from an out of country outsourcing center who would just hang up the phone when you answer. No direct communication and a bunch of dancing around the subject when trying to cancel. Paid all dues and canceled, was told everything was good to go, then charged again (to the expired card). No refund, discount, or anything for their errors. Save your time and sign up elsewhere instead of the overcrowded run of the mill Planet Fitness without a lunk alarm gym

GO TO ANY OTHER GYM EXCEPT THIS BRAND. BEWARE OF THEIR SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES. Equipment is old, gym is dirty. To make matters worse, they make it so that it’s IMPOSSIBLE for you to cancel your membership any time. They make you physically walk in and go tell them you want to cancel so that they can try all their tactics to get you not to cancel. I work 50hrs a week and I’m a full time single mother I don’t have time to go listen to people beg me not to close an account nor should I have to explain to them why I’m cancelling. I closed my bank account and stopped paying them now they’re calling me multiple times a week to threaten me saying they’re sending me to collections. What they don’t know is that im ripping all of their marketing out of my office (they come to my office to try and market to my patients) ill stand outside that gym and tell everyone to go ANYWHWHERE but here if I have to but I will make it KNOWN to my 5000+ Stuart patients that this is NOT the gym for them.

All of a sudden ( new manager) the bass of the music playing is ridiculous ! I I have complained and I know of others that have also but the manger does nothing. It is a joke really. 95% of the members have on ear buds. Do we really need this night club noise playing. I hear it through my headphones even if my volume is way up. Also the 80k plus spent on that giant door mat. Very few use it or the colored weights. Mean while in the whole gym there’s only ONE seated dip machine and it moves up and down like a Carnival ride ! come on ,every gym I have ever been to has better then that. Hey Crunch!

I love your gym and classes. The instructors are great. Could you review the schedules for the hot room and make sure that there isn't a spin class at the same time? As you know, yoga involves a quiet peaceful journey, and the high energy music of the adjacent spin class diminishes the quality of the class. It is rather unfair to the instructors that work so hard to create the right environment with soothing soundtracks!

Thank you!

Hi Crunch!!!
Please look at the classes in the adjacent spin studio and don't schedule a class at the same time as yoga. Spin has loud thumping music and a screaming instructor.

For example, Friday at 7AM is yoga and at the 7:45AM starts spinning. Please move the spinning class in Friday to 8:00AM. It is only 15 minutes difference. This yoga class is always sold out so you make $$ from this class.

Appreciate your assistance to this common sense scheduling change.
If this doesn't happen, I will downgrade my membership to the basic plan and do yoga elsewhere.
Thank you for your prompt attention!!

A recent review mentions that the bathrooms were filthy, which astonished me to the point that I figure the reviewer must have the wrong gym. Of all the features I like about this gym, the cleanliness of the bathrooms is probably highest. It's the cleanest gym bathroom I've ever seen: I even said as much to the employee who's in there 6 days a week cleaning it.

The equipment is all state-of-the-art and in good repair. And the members are largely conscientious: meaning only rarely do I have to ask someone to kindly quit playing on your phone, someone else would like to work in on this machine. (I understand that's not directly the responsibility of gym management, but still.)

The price was fair. I was only in town for a few months and was concerned I'd have to pay a big annual fee or cancellation penalty, but it was explained to me when I signed up that there'd be no hidden surprises, and there weren't. The employees are friendly, the QR code makes it easy to sign in, and there's tons of parking.

Hope this helps for anyone joining a crunch gym (specifically the gym in Stuart, FL).

I recently transitioned roles in mid December, and was going to be out of a gym for late December (2024), January, and the first week into February (2025), so I had intended to sign up for 2 months at crunch fitness. I met with the manager Lucas Alves and he mentioned they were offering a program for a penny down for the first month, and then the monthly fee after that which could be cancelled at any time. He even mentioned that the program would keep more money in my pocket up front and would work with my current situation.

Fast forward to last week, I went to cancel my crunch fitness membership and they told me I am locked into 3 months including the annual fee!!!! I had no idea this was the case or I never would have signed up. Lucas NEVER disclosed any of this information since given I have daily gym access starting 2/3 with the pirates, I never would have paid for 3 months + annual fee knowing I was only going to use 2. That would not make any sense for me to do that.

This was COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL OF LUCAS and I would steer clear of this gym and/or read into the fine details of any contract to see he's not feeding you any BS. If you want a facility with rude/disrespectful staff, dusty equipment and grungy turf then this is the crunch fitness for you.

Hope this helps and thanks for forcing me to waste $120 Lucas Alves. YOUR A HORRIBLE and deceitful staff member. Crunch fitness I hope this isn't what you teach your employees and can do better than hiring someone like that.

I signed up for a membership, was charged multiple times entirely undisclosed totaling 75 dollars! When I called the general manager Valeria told me that even though they forgot to mention I would be charged a 10 dollar package add on and a 65 dollar fee, I was told “it doesn’t matter” and I can’t get a refund. She also said “if you dispute the charges it will go to collections and affect your credit”.

They will send you to collection for a non existent service provided.

Gym is nice. Men's locker room is gross. Shower doors have green mold. Sauna is a poorly designed, no drain for proper cleaning, they just use a mop and call it a day. Benches are filthy, if you look in between the wooden slats there just congealed sweat/hair/goo. Doesn't get properly cleaned and disinfected. Good place to catch staph or mrsa. Speaking from experience.

It's a good gym, mainly because it doesn't lack in anything and the price is good. Some of the trainers such as Kevin are excellent. However the men's bathroom is disgusting. There are massive cockroaches on the sauna, the inside of the shower doors have a tick green layer of what looks like mold, there is not enough ventilation so it constantly smells like someone just pooped. I've been reporting this on the feedback emails we get from Crunch and to the people on the front desk. They know about it but for whatever reason, even after months these issues persist. I would love to change this review to 5 stars once these issues are resolved.

Vibes here are not good. Too many of the kind of people that take up sidewalk space and don’t move. Only good part was the trainers, they’re pretty cool.

Crunch is owned by crooks, I signed up in early 2024 for the black membership for 30 dollars and tax at 34.99 and every month I was charged 49.19 every month except the 3rd month where I was hit with dues for almost 100 dollars ,even tho all payments were on time except for 1 in November. So i went in to discuss said matter and cancel my account. Well I was told there is nothing that can be done at location and no number to call no cooperate to speak to no email, NOTHING! So I cancel and now I’m still being charged. I looked up law suits against crunch and focused money tactics is one of the many lawsuits crunch has against them and I will be joining that lawsuit. Crunch is ran by crooks. Most of the workers are so so and just employees under a thriving immoral company but ur guilty by association. So I advise anyone who establishes a crunch membership to watch your bank statements. Terrible company and terrible people who run it.

I would avoid this place at all cost! . I joined back in June and then I had some medical issues come up in which I had to have major surgery which enabled me to continue my personal training for a minimum of 6 months. When discussed this with my trainer Madelyn, she informed me I would need a doctors note to stop the fees from coming out of my account. I provided her 2 letters, one from my surgeon and my primary care doctor and the monthly fee still came out. I called and was told that it wasn’t processed in time. I was also told this hold would stay in effect for 6 months - through Jan 2025. In Oct I was charged again on the 11th and when I called to ask for my money back I was told they could not give it to me. I explained I have all the text messages from Madelyn that I would NOT be charged for 6 months. When asked for a manager to call me back- no manager ever did. Then on the 25th of Oct they charged my account again. I called back again and ask for a manager to call me and no one ever called me back . I finally spoke with a manager a few days later (when I called back a third time) and again was told they will NOT refund me. I filed a complaint with the BBB and crunch never responded to them. This place will just take your money and keep taking it. I will never go back, so now I am out over $600.00. Unfortunately I had to leave some rating but if it was up to me I would give them a negative star

Switched to wipes & now not wanting to give out the cloths just so they don’t have to do part of their job. Was told I could only be given a cloth if I put it in the bin(which I do every time) in the corner in the front by their computers. You work at a gym & just stand there the whole time chatting yet you’re too lazy to walk not even 20 feet away? Some times I’m told they don’t even have any just because they don’t want to wash them. If you have a problem giving out cloths & having to wash them, maybe bring paper towels back? Sorry I don’t want to put my phone on the machines because the wipes don’t fully kill the germs.

The cacophony of very loud noise they refer to as music sucks!
They have done away with all paper towels and the air dryers in the bathrooms are extremely loud and
most likely full of bacteria as studies have shown.
The popular weight machines are nearly impossible to access because of the crowds.
They refuse to play any conservative cable news channels, but CNN can be seen on the TV screens throughout the facility.
I usually can count ten young employees standing around, but they refuse to warn the many cell phone addicts who are sitting on the workout machines and texting away.
They do nothing to stop the muscle freaks from slamming the barbells to the floor.
I tried to cancel both mine and my wife’s membership but I was forced to pay them for another month.
This place is not for us.

It is a great gym, honestly. As long as you don't go in between 5pm-7:30pm on weekdays, it is wonderful. It has everything you may need and variations for the machines they don't have. The male sauna usually smells weird but that's nothing. And they are constantly improving. One thing I don't like, is the fact that they push a lot with offerings of trainers and sometimes may even force a free trial of a training in a subtle way. One that will eventually turn into them asking (again) whether you wanna pay for a trainer (again). I really like the gym tho, it feels good.

Following the tornados that hit Port Salerno, many of us were left without power - myself included. Although I don't have a membership, the staff at Crunch Fitness graciously welcomed me to use their facilities free of charge.

This gesture was incredibly impactful for me, especially as I’m recovering from surgery. It alleviated a significant burden during a challenging time. I’m not usually one to leave a bad review, but this one felt necessary.
I walked in today with my husband and my brother after signing up for a free trial day online. We were excited to see the gym as it was our first time stepping into any crunch fitness and have heard great things about it.
Upon arrival we were “welcomed” by the manager Jeremy, where he asked to see our IDs to get in with our emailed Guest Pass. He looked at us and goes “oh, non of you are local?” And I go “I’m sorry? It’s a Florida ID and we live about 20min away.” He goes “I’m sorry but you have to live within a 5 mile radius of our gym in order to workout here”
He went on to explain how it was written in fine print. I go to check this “fine print” and it says “local residents only” NO WHERE HAVE I FOUND A DESCRIPTION ABOUT IT BEING A 5 MILE RADIUS. I call BS. Jeremy then proceeded to deny us access into the gym, did not even offer to give us a tour. He says oh, well we can go ahead and sign you up for our PSL location that’s opening in a few weeks and then I can let you into our gym. Which I have seriously considered joining but the guy wouldn’t even let us in without signing up and giving him a 3 month commitment. And I’m sorry sir, but we won’t even be living within a 5 mile radius of that gym so, make it make sense. We felt very un welcomed and I am certain non of us will step into another crunch fitness again.

If I could post 0 stars I would. Do not do business with these con artists. In December, I paused personal training by contacting the trainer directly. I was continuously charged a couple hundred dollars every two weeks until I noticed. I called Crunch, they told me to email corporate. I emailed for weeks and weeks, repeatedly to no avail. They continued to charge me. It wasn’t until MARCH that I went in and demanded cancellation and a refund. They refused to refund. I went through Amex and got it back. When there I also asked them to cancel the gym membership, they said they would. It’s now June. They are still charging me. I just called, and they said they can cancel, but will not give me a refund. I said, that’s fine I’ll go through American Express again. They told me that if I dispute any charges, they will undo cancellation. So they are going to re-enroll me in the membership without my consent. They also threatened to send the lack of payment to a collection agency. Bring it on. People like this are a menace to society. DO NOT go under contract with them.

I had an extremely frustrating workout after, I do like the gym… it can get crowded, I just really think the trainers need to relax and the owner needs to tell them something. Publicly cancelling my Crunch vendor membership as I have spoken with 3 different people, over 6 months, to cancel my membership as a vendor and have been unsuccessful. Please do your job and click the button “cancel”. I signed up in October, unexpectedly moved to another state in November. I honored my 3 month commitment (over $400) even though utilized no benefits from the gym. I understand, that is only fair. An employee named Michelle, stated she would cancel when I requested, back in Nov, once my comment was over which was Jan 17th. Michelle is no longer there. In March, I started receiving messages from a representative named Cassandra. I explained to her that I cancelled membership and tried again to move forward with the process. Again, no cancellation! Next representative, Haley. Explained to her the situation, only to receive an email stating that she will give me a courtesy “waive” of the in-person form to sign and that I owe over $600+ or I’ll be in collections. There’s a form that the previous 2 reps didn’t mention?! lol Again, no issues paying for my commitment which I have done according to my bank records. Cancel my membership!! Please!!! Corporate feel free to give me a call, just trying to amicably part ways here.

TL;DR: Very overcrowded, lack of equipment, awful bathroom, lame staff, corporate feel.

Before I get started I think we can all agree that it's best to avoid any gym that has clientele that needs to be reminded to put their clothes on before going home. (See bathroom sign)

I got a 1 month membership to see if I liked it better than my gym (Powerhouse in Stuart) and after my first workout I asked them for a refund...to please just charge me for the day rate (which is what I should have asked for in the first place). The general manager said no. When I asked why not I could see her eyes glaze over as she searched all her training at the two year community college she almost graduated from...I just sighed and left. I guess they really need that extra $15 dollars. They can put it towards some of the missing equipment they need to complete the gym.

I went around 11:30am when most gyms are not crowded but this one was...and horribly so. At first it appears they have a lot of gear but that's only because there are so many people...they need much more. However, it's a sad commentary on a gym this size that there's only ONE captain's chair and it's the old fashion one with the flat back that almost nobody uses anymore. Also, no sign of a Rogue/Assault style bike. Very odd.

Also odd was the fact there's no trashcan in the bathroom...it's at the end of the hall just before you get back to the gym. This is why, I would guess, the bathroom is disgusting with orange peels in the lockers and water bottles littering the floor...who wants to wait to carry their trash out of the bathroom? Not their members, anyway. Remember, they also need to be reminded to put on their pants.

The sauna was standing room only. Literally. Plus it looked like it wasn't going to ever get properly to temp because, in typical corporate style for safety (I assume) the fourth wall is all glass with big gaps around the door.

This is a typical, corporate nightmare gym. Ironically at Powerhouse the pitch from the owner (I think it was an owner) was that they were family run. I didn't think much of that at the time but when I had a problem with my card and it wasn't clear if I owed them any additional money after a short break they talked to me like a human and we figured it out and I stayed (so far for another year). Gyms like Crunch will never learn these lessons.

Finally, it's very telling that the owner only comments on the 5 star reviews here, not the one and two stars that bring up problems, because the owner clearly has no intension of fixing or addressing the problems so they have nothing to say to these people.

Any gym that made me long for Powerhouse is a very, very, very bad gym indeed.

As a first time visitor of Crunch Fitness, I was initially drawn in by the promises of inclusivity, diversity touted on their website and social media platforms, and free day pass. However, upon closer inspection, it became painfully apparent that the reality within the gym walls did not align with these advertised values. One glaring issue I encountered was the presence of racial profiling among staff members.

Furthermore, the disparity between the policies outlined online and those enforced within the gym is deeply concerning. While the digital facade portrays an image of tolerance, fitness, and enjoyment.

I was unable to enjoy the experience of Crunch, and I will not return. I cannot speak on the behalf of all Crunch gyms, but this one is not worth your money. They don’t follow online policies, and have no compassion.

The facility has a lot of really good equipment and the times in the morning when I went to work out, there was little or no wait time to use a machine. The people at the front desk always greeted with a smile and were very nice. My trainer was awesome, he really focused on a workout that was specific to my needs and goals. The problem we had was that they kept charging my credit card, my wife's credit card and our corporate credit card for training sessions that we never signed up for, times when the trainer couldn't make it and it even after we cancelled, they kept charging us. The managers admitted that yes, we were over charged and they still kept over charging our accounts to the tune of approximately $5,000. It took about 6 months of constantly calling and meeting with the managers in person and we finally received our refunds, without apology.
