I took a Saturday morning hot power flow class with Angel while on vacation in Destin. I have attended many hot yoga classes at many different studios and this class was incredible- such a great experience! My only regret was that I didn’t have time to take more classes here during my visit. The schedule and booking was easy to find online and I was able to rent a mat/towel. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, I will definitely be back on future trips!

The studio has always been a favorite for me when I am in Destin/Miramar Beach. The studio is under new ownership and the new look is bright and beautiful. The classes are always amazing especially Angel’s and Lillian’s classes. All the instructors here are amazing! If you are not used to hot yoga, I recommend you get there early to get a spot close to the doors of the studio.

Megan’s Hot 26 class is the real deal…true to the traditional Bikram style and guaranteed to push you every time. She knows exactly how to challenge you in the best way, and before you know it, you’re doing more than you thought you could. And honestly, my favorite part? That outdoor cold shower at the end—it’s absolute heaven after 90 minutes of sweat!

My husband and I were searching for a beach vacation close to a hot yoga studio that offers 26x2 (Bikram style) classes. We found Destin Hot Yoga's website via Google searches and planned a week long yoga retreat around this studio. We loved everything about it. While on vacation for a week - my wife and I signed up for a 5 class pass at Destin Hot Yoga - Megan was the instructor for most of the classes and she was outstanding - the space is very clean, welcoming, and most classes being 1hr and 15 min was great as it allowed for a nice, unhurried experience - one opportunity is I hope the location adds shower facilities - so you don’t have to go home (or back to resort) to go out again.

Great infrastructure of changing rooms, bathroom and showers for students. There is plenty of physical space for students in the heated room. Instructors lead practices that seamlessly flow while also being scalable to a students current level from beginner to advance practitioner.

Wow! We were so lucky to have this hot yoga studio only minutes from our condo on the beach. Lillian was so welcoming, as were all the yogis. The room was dark and spacious. I finally got around to trying this studio and hot yoga, and I wasn’t disappointed.

Let me start this review by saying I am FLUFFY, 50, and have rosacea that flares badly when I’m hot, so I look like I’d be more comfortable in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory than a yoga studio. My years of fitness work are definitely not readily apparent right now, but no one there looked askance at me.

Tina was substitute teaching tonight, and she was WONDERFUL from the moment I walked into the studio until I left. She was warm, welcoming, and led a wonderful class with great flows and cues to lead us through them.

The hot studio really did seem to help open everything up, and it was easy to break into a good sweat. I’ll definitely be bringing ICED water next time as opposed to room temp which is my usual go-to. They have a water bubbler and a fridge with water for those who come without, too. I did take a few breaks during the workout, but I noticed that I wasn’t the only one, and I did not get the feeling of judgement or competition at all. Everyone was just doing their own thing.

Be careful coming out of the studio, or in if it’s raining. The lobby is a beautiful polished concrete that gets SLICK. Coming out of class, everyone was dripping sweat, of course, and as soon as I hit the area where there wasn’t a rug, down I went. Nothing bruised but my pride, though.

I’ve been practicing bikram yoga for 25 years. I was so excited to bring my daughter and granddaughter to the heated 26 posters class on her birthday(daughter) and was told it was illegal for the 13 year(granddaughter) old to take the class. My daughter has been taking bikram for 12 years off and on but this would have been the first class for my granddaughter. We later looked up the law and searched the professional Yoga community for recommendations, and it only said that children need a written consent form signed by the parents. It mentioned kids as young as 10. I’ve had many classes with kids in Sedona and even asked a former teacher here if my granddaughter could attend and was told yes. Not only was it disappointing, but the gentleman was rude and not even empathetic to our situation. Two years ago, I went to this studio once a week for a year. We had a fantastic teacher named Frank. The studio now seems so different and unfriendly.

Mindful flow with Angel is the perfect class for me! very challenging, but at the right pace. also after class Angel had some inspirational words. something to the effect of: if you stay in the practice, instead of focus on quitting the things that no longer serve you, you won't have time for them and they'll fall away. I revisited the Destin Hot Yoga studio in July 2019 under new ownership. I had a truly great experience. Jessica and Nicci were gracious in their teachings and extremely friendly, completely putting the first-timers and the seasoned yogis at ease. The studio is one of the nicest I have been to, and there were a lot of extra touches that had been really thought through. I particularly liked the cold face towel at the end of the class. Namaste!

I’m from Georgia and I just started yoga about three weeks ago. As I was here in destin on vacation I didn’t want my hard work to go to waste by not attending my regular class for almost a week, so I decided to look up a yoga place here. I came across DHY and I must say I was more than empress. I even wanted to take their studio home with me. Down from the facility to the instructors is amazing. I didn’t feel out of place and they also made me feel comfortable in where I was in my training, as all of them seemed so advance. They treated me like family , they are so intuitive, they actually knew me by name every day I came in and that made me feel super special. Indeed, a five start review and rating for Destin Hot Yoga. We live on the road full time and travel the roads of the USA. It is great to be able to find a yoga studio in every city that we travel to. There are many things I loved about my one-week unlimited pass to try out Destin Hot Yoga (if you are local - they allow a great one week introductory rate at half the coast - if you are local and thinking of trying yoga, do NOT miss this opportunity). The studio is in a great location.

I give this studio five stars for many reasons - three of which I'll highlight in this review.

Schedule: I enjoyed yoga twice a day during my 7 day trial period. The great thing about Destin Hot Yoga is they have offerings starting as early as 6AM (a one hour power yoga), mid-morning, lunch, afternoon and two evening classes! If you can't find a time by looking at their schedule, well, I'd be hard pressed to believe you'd be able to find a time anywhere.

Depth and Knowledge of Yoga Teachers: I love the fact that Destin Hot Yoga does NOT indicate who is teaching a class at certain times. As a person of habit - I have a natural tendency to go back to an instructor whom I liked during a class (this may not apply to locals as you'll likely figure out who teaches at each time). But, for me, I was able to experience the variation of teachings from many of the teachers. Destin Hot Yoga has a well versed and studied group of teachers - I liked that they called the poses by there Sanskrit name and also a version that any lay person could recognize. The teachers (all of them) were hands on with adjustments at just the right level of need based upon student needs. The instruction provided through verbal queue was on point and easy to follow. I attended a class with a woman whom was taking her very first yoga class and she was able to follow every pose throughout the class - this due to the highly qualified and skilled teachers at Destin Hot Yoga. The MUSIC selection of every teacher that I practiced was in the range of what I would call - SHOULD BE A TOP 10 playlist in yoga studios across the country. I wanted to grab all of the playlists. As if all of this wasn't good enough - the cold towels with essential oils at the end of each hot yoga practice is like the cherry on top of a freshly made sundae!

Last but not least, the owner's of the studio were on site every time I visited the studio and I had several opportunities to practice and converse with each of them. I got a strong sense that they really are building community and listening to the people who frequent the studio by offering different time options (see first point on schedule - a BIG ONE FOR BUSY people), loads of great workshops (this makes me sad that I'll be long gone when some of them are happening) and they are starting a COMMUNITY CLASS for 5 DOLLARS so that yoga is available to ANYONE.

For all the reasons above, if you are local and want to try out Destin Hot Yoga - here a first insight into someone who just spent seven days (twice a day) doing Yoga with some of Destins' FINEST. If I were local - this would become my local yoga watering hole.
