Just played the magnolia of course with my family beautiful course made it to the fifth hole and that was it. It was my time stopped out there unable to move forward waiting at the key box for over 10 minutes to tee off with people breathing down our necks behind us with nowhere to go in front of us why do they overbook it? Beautiful course terrible Management Thanks, Keaton for trying to help. I’ll try it again next time when it’s not so crowded.

What a treat to play?!?! We got through 16 holes and played the last two in the dark but with enough vision to see that grumpies gauntlet is awesome!! I highly recommend do the entire putting course on the practice green as it’s a great prep for what on the course. Cart gps give distance to front edge, actual pin placement and back edge with precision. We played with a nice gentleman from Wales and as Canadians it was a truly international affair. The only complaint was that the hotdog from the cart was less than stellar. Can’t wait to get back.

The attitude from the cast members at the pro shop was honestly very disappointing. We asked a couple of simple questions, and their responses were indifferent, dismissive, and frankly rude.
When you come to Disney, you expect a certain level of kindness and hospitality—that’s part of what makes the Disney experience special. Unfortunately, that was completely missing here.
We had just spent almost $900 in the shop and were planning to play a round afterward, but the way we were treated completely changed our minds. For a Disney property, that kind of attitude is really unacceptable.
What made it even more disappointing is that we couldn’t help but feel the treatment might have been different because we were speaking in Spanish. Regardless of the reason, no guest should ever feel unwelcome at Disney — especially in a place known for its outstanding service.

We visited the golf course and requested a raincheck due to weather—something that’s understandable and part of the game. Unfortunately, what turned the experience sour was the lack of transparency around their raincheck policy.
We had no idea we were booking a twilight round when making our reservation online. Apparently, their policy only guarantees 9 holes for twilight bookings, and that’s the basis they use to issue rainchecks. Yet, they still charge the full 18-hole green fee without clearly disclosing this upfront.
Had we known this in advance, we would have made a different decision. It felt misleading and disappointing. Hidden policies like this take away from what should be an enjoyable day on the course.
I guess that’s how business is done in “the happiest place on turf.”

Terrible management. Tee times were shoved together in we were in a four some. The twosome behind us was yelling at us and almost hitting us. Management gave us a full refund. NEVER GO HERE!!!

The course was in ok condition. I’ve played better for the price. The gps in the carts where horrible you would make a shot to the front of the green because that’s what the cart said the flag was at only to get to the green to find out the flag was in the back. The new holes make no sense it’s like you played 1-13 on one course then left and played somewhere else for 4 holes then finished back on the course you started on for 18. Also there is a massive parking problem they wanted me to park right behind the 18th green so my truck would get hit by a 10 yard long approach shot so needless to say it took awhile to find a parking spot. Very disappointing

FORE! A Magical Morning at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course ⛳🏰
Just finished a magical round at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course, and it was everything a Disney-loving golfer could dream of. The course is beautifully maintained with gorgeous views, challenging layouts, and that signature Disney touch — located right across from the Polynesian and near Magic Kingdom!
I booked the Cast Member rate for $45 (must do it 2 days in advance) and scored a 6:30 AM tee time — perfect for avoiding the Florida heat. Arrived at 6:00 AM, warmed up with included range balls, and rolled some putts before heading out.
The course itself is no joke — especially the new “Grumpy Gauntlet” stretch from holes 14–18. Two tough par 5s, a long par 4, and a sneaky par 3. Highlight of the round: I stuck a 7-iron to 5 feet on hole 12 and drained the birdie 🐦!
Staff were amazing — not Disney Cast Members (the course is run by Arnold Palmer Golf), but they still bring that legendary service.
If you’re a golfer visiting Disney or a local who loves the game, Magnolia is a must-play. Magical from the first tee to the last putt. 🎯✨

Very Disappointing Experience
My husband and I visited the golf shop intending to purchase some unique Disney apparel and inquire about a round of golf. We were in the shop for about 15 minutes and were the only customers there. Despite three staff members being behind the counter, not one of them acknowledged us—not even a simple “hello.”
We found this to be contrary to what we’ve come to expect from anything associated with Disney. As a result, we left without making a purchase and felt compelled to write this review. We were genuinely looking forward to this experience, but unfortunately, it left us disappointed.

While there are still 2 temporary holes, Magnolia is back to the conditions from years ago! Just played it in January 2025, course overall was in great shape. The new holes that are open are really fun and the holes they added that will open soon look great too.

Horrible experience. Course seemed like it was in decent shape but we wouldn't know. Booked 2 spots for Magnolia. got paired with 3 children ages 6-8ish, plus three adults whom were coaching 2 of the kids. (adults weren't playing) With me and my wife, plus them, there were 4 carts and a total of 8 people in our group. The others didn't speak very good English, so communication was poor between us. Kids were playing from the front of the fairway and they went up there ahead of us teeing off from the whites. They were constantly in our way, zig zagging around hole 1. The kids played fine from what I seen but they were very slow between shots since they were being coached. By the time we got on the first green, the group behind us was already waiting for us to clear...... on the first hole!!! Granted the adults weren't playing but there was 8 people on the green while we were trying to putt. One older man and a child were even on the other side of my approach shot, which made me nervous. If i skulled it..... they were gonna lose teeth. I dont need that anxiety when I'm out there trying to relax. Then we got to the second tee box, and they were up in front of us again. We politely waved goodbye, turned around and headed back the wrong direction and just quit. We planned our day around golfing in the AM, so we didn't book anything else in the parks or restaurants. Wasted the whole day. I asked for a refund, which they didn't argue after explaining the circumstances. The starter even joked when telling us who we would be playing with. He had to have some clue that this wasn't going to go well. Very disappointed in this experience. We aren't serious golfers, so we can let a lot slide, but this was absolutely ridiculous.

Currently (08/2023), only 14 holes are open & playable due to redesign & construction but the course condition is "Tournament-Ready"!
Be aware that your app GPS mapping of #14 is probably outdated.
Added (09/2024) ... Entire back 9 is open but #16 &17 are shortened to Par 3s of less than 100 yards each due to ongoing construction.

Don’t go here if you know how to play golf. It will take you 5 hours to finish a round because they let anybody play and it slows everything down and the course ranger doesn’t do anything about it. Over priced for that kind of play in my opinion

Great job folks!!! Our group had a fun time and will be back.

Me and My husband came to golf at 6:50am today and the cast members who checked us in were so nice. Then at hole 7 this cast member named Mike was rude. He told us new rules and then looked at me to ask if I was golfing too. We both paid and showed him the receipt. Is it because I am a women, black and young? Then we get to hole 12 and here comes Mike again. He told us we were moving to slow and cause the whole team behind us to fall behind. We are beginners,we told them to go ahead of us because we are slow at hole #1. This golf course is not for beginners, not for people of color because Mike made sure to make that apparent today with his nasty attitude. We didn't not get to finish hole 13 to 18. We paid and were treated like we did not deserve to be there. This was not a good experience at all. Really disheartening to be treated poorly by disney cast member Mike. Ken and John were super nice to help us find our way to the entrance to leave. The food and beverage girl,I didn't get her name, but she was super nice as well. Mike ruined our experience and cut it short. That's 6 holes we didn't get to play and paid for. Mike is not a kind person and needs to learn that everyone, every skin color should be treated equal.

We played this course on 4/7 and were overall disappointed with the quality of our experience for the cost of the course. Earlier in the week we played Lake Buena Vista, also on Disney property, and had a wonderful experience for the same price. The greens and fairways were well manicured on the Magnolia course however the fairways, and primary rough were sometimes so firm you were unable to get a clean strike on the ball. The greens were recently aerated which was not included in the decreased rate of the course for the last four hole remodel.
The last four holes were very frustrating. The cart GPS on the 15th hole did not even know what hole we were on and we were having to play blind shots on dogleg over in between trees. The 16th hole and 17th hole were back to back extremely short, par threes.. To get to the 17th hole you had to pass through the cart path all the way down the 18th hole. This was very poorly designed. The GPS also was not working at the 17th hole teebox.
Overall, in comparison with Lake Buena Vista, the Magnolia course did not measure up to our expectations for Disney standards for the cost. At this time I would not recommend this course to others.

Last 4 holes are under construction, its bad.
Its understandable, but what’s not is the price, they do not deçrease it :( :(
It took 5 hours to play. The people i was match with were turtles and took forever to play, took tons of mulligans and slow down everyone. No etiquette. The marshal pass and said nothing. Marshals are useless.
There was 3 holes open in front of us.
Greens are slow and dont hold lines.

Absolutely horrible condition. I was so disappointed. My friends took me there to celebrate my birthday and we couldn't believe a Disney property was in such a bad condition and on top of it, there was no parking space. Just a horrible experience. It was supposed to be a fun day but instead we had to play a five and half hour round in that awful condition. I couldn't wait until my round was over. I don't recommend the course until major work is done and I won't go back there.

Course is in horrible condition. Fairways and greens are bad. The bunkers have only a thin layer of sand with hardpan underneath. I played here back in the 90's when it was well manicured and lush. Now it's like a cow pasture. Hopefully they can turn things around. If you have the option to go someplace else then do so. We played 2 rounds at Celebration this week and that was beautiful.

Played here in Dec 2023 a day after playing at Lake Buena Vista- the course was still in the middle of renovating three of the back holes so the 15th, 16th and 17th holes were shortened to par 4/3/3 respectively. Still, we still got the classic Disney golf course expensive - with the Mickey Mouse bunker on the 6th and the Mickey golf cart at the pro shop. Plenty of wildlife on the course too, from the turkeys to the deer. 🦌

Right now it’s only a 14 hole course as they are renovating the last 4 holes. The course was in great shape and the greens are super fast. They had hard pin placement when I was there. Due to the weekend of December 4th which was birthday/anniversary celebration weekend for me and my wife I booked tee time at 12:50 the Magnolia course as the first 2 holes progressed I noticed how slow the pace was to the group in front of me was, making the turn from 9 to 10 there was a 2-3 group back up needless to say it took around 20-23 minutes to play a hole after an hour we were on hole #14 and it was getting dark……I stopped playing and just left as there was no time to finish . Apparently there was some event going on that took up the Palm course and something with the schedule on the computer system gave issues that day so my experience was definitely not magical and as a annual pass holder I expected more from the conditions or the course and with rising prices during peak season my day was cut short due to complications that were out of my control. Not a good day nor experience! UPDATE after being notified thru email to receive a certificate to return and play but no confirmation was provided or given to me and it was NEVER given the attention it needed so after a few weeks I was exhausted over the communication due to fact it seemed no one really cared so once again Disney and all their glory let another fall thru the cracks

Course personnel were extremely rude. Golfers on course were the most soft people I have ever met. As per soft I mean they can't take a basic joke and go out of their way to complain to golf course personnel about you. Even though you apologize numerous times and clearly state it was a joke. They apparently felt entitled to something since they ended up getting their round for free. Course personnel must have knew the group and didn't care to resolve my situation. Even though I was getting flicked off, called vulgar names, and ended up leaving the course early due to feeling completely uncomfortable. I will be disputing the charge on my card since Bruce didn't care to resolve my situation. I will happily never golf another Disney course again. "Happiest place on Earth" is clearly a lie. Cater to entitled jerks is more like it. By far the worst experience I have had in 20 years of golfing.

If you like a five and a half hour round you'll love this course! My husband and I have been golfing the Disney courses for years and have never had a round like this. It seems that they're just packing people in more and more. We always gave it to Disney that they ran it like they run the park where everything runs on time you would expect to see a ranger out there moving things along. I guess because they call him a player assistant they don't ranger out there anymore and nobody was moved along. I don't think we'll be going back again and that makes us very sad.

Great course, great people...
Great golfing experience!
Additionally, I had to leave a day early from my 5-day golf excursion for an emergency, and my clubs were stored at the clubhouse.
I called Disney and was put thru AFTER CLUBHOUSE CLOSED to the head golf professional, Chandler Jagodzinski.
Chandler was very receptive to my situation, and he understood I had a VERY tight timeframe in order to pick up my golf bag for the flight home.
He offered to bring my golf bag to my hotel on his way home.
I thought that was very kind of him and very much appreciated he was getting me out of a big jam.
He showed up about an hour and half later and dropped off my clubs at the hotel.
I again offered some kind of compensation, which he graciously refused.
I would have to say this very kind act by Chandler epitomized our playing days at Disneys Magnolia/Palm courses.
Again...well done and very much appreciated!

Disappointed: My buddy and I played here on 9/20/2021. We’ve been planning this trip for weeks and we were looking forward to playing a resort course with such history. We were both very disappointed in the course conditions. Lots of bare spots in fairways. Most bunkers were lacking sand. In many bunkers there wasn’t more than .5” of sand in their base. The greens were very slow and also had bare spots and crabgrass in them. We live in Florida so we understand that it’s hard to have pristine conditions in the summer but I’d expect these conditions at my local muni not a resort style course. I have a handful of nice courses near me in much better condition than Magnolia was this week. We probably won’t be back.

WATCH OUT FOR RANGER RON!! Pretty surprising that WDW "Happiest Place on Earth" would employ an angry & unpleasant person.
Played here on Sept 14. Unfortunately, due to high amounts of rain over the past week, the course was not in good condition. 6 of the 18 holes required cart path only due to large amounts of standing water/mud in the rough/fairways. Despite the inconvenience & the inability to play at our desired pace, our cart said that we were only 7 mins behind pace with the foursome trailing us nowhere in sight.
Then appeared Ranger Ron...he drove up to our 12th tee box on the Par 3 3rd (we started off the back). He basically had a temper tantrum & told us we were 2 holes behind pace. I told him that our cart said we were 7 mins behind pace to which he said "it doesn't matter what our cart says". He said the group in front of us was two holes ahead to which I explained that would be correct since they teed off 20 mins before us. He told us to skip our current hole & move on to the next hole. I told him that we weren't going to do that because the foursome behind us wasn't even on the 2nd tee box. He then said that he'd be happy to have his manager come out, refund us & have us leave the course. At this point we all could have snapped on Ranger Ron but we ignored him & moved on with our round.
After the round, Mario & Dale at the Pro Shop were great! We told them about our experience with Ranger Ron & they were very empathetic. We told them that we finished our round in 4hr 20m & they said the average round is 4hr 15-30m with no cart path rules.
I would highly recommend seeking a golf course off Disney property. I can live with bad playing conditions but not with bad people.

First disappointing experience with disney golf today. We spent the entire Jr golf season riding along with our Jr Golfer (9 years old) for a $17 cart fee, then on the last match (and hottest) of the season Disney raised the price to $25.
Well technically, the ladies running the shop clarified that we had been getting under charged all Covid and we should feel lucky that we got the savings when we did.

Awesome place to golf. Level of difficulty is high for a beginner like me. It is rather flat but the ponds and the water ways will really challenge you for sure.

A very delayed review!
Came here when visiting Florida from the UK back in 2018. Teeing off at around 8am, and just before doing so was approached by a member of staff. They gave us the opportunity to mark the placement of the hole for the 18th! Never been offered this before, and made a great start to the day.
The course itself is very enjoyable, and testing for everyone. It was great to have a member of staff in a buggy coming round and selling drinks to all golfers as well.
Although I didn't have the best game, the course and staff made it a magical golfing experience.
Will definitely be visiting again when I return next year!

Played the Palm course. Tee boxes and fairways lush, greens run about 8 on stemp and well manacured. Bunkers with good sand. Overall experience for the $$ was good value.

Service was impeccable as usual at Disney but the course condition, particularly the greens. They left a bit to be desired, not smooth or true. Although, it is always good to come to the "Happiest Place on Turf'"!

Beware, your reservation for this particular course may not be honored. Our daughter wanted to play a course with a Mickey bunker as part of her birthday celebration after winning her first golf tournament this summer. I realize one bunker has little do do with the actual game/course, but to a 9-year-old.....it is significant. Although our reservation/tee time was prepaid/reserved for Magnolia weeks ago, my husband and daughter were turned away for a private party this morning and sent to a different course. The attendant working told them that the course may change any reservation at will without notice. She voiced that they sometimes try to call to let you know, but not always. We had reserved no call, text, or email communicating the change. The attendant was also entirely unapologetic for their oversight.

This course is ok but they have to worst customer courtesy ever. My group sets a annual golf trip to the area and Magnolia is typically a great track and we try to play it every year. We just got a call telling us that the tee time we scheduled a few week ago is no long available due to a tournament being scheduled and with the golf trip a week away there is limited options of course to play with decent tee times. This is the second time at this same course we’ve had issues. The first time around they told us that our tee time was moved back an hour with out notice!

I would like to congratulate the course because according to Mr. Birds review from 1 week ago they did a fantastic job to get this course in the shape that I played on today. The only thing he got right was the friendliness of the staff. The course deserves its 4 plus rating in my book

Pretty good. Nice people, though extremely packed. Main complaints: golf range had barely any space, vending machines don’t take card, and water fountains were turned off. Consider putting up touch-free water fountain solutions

Loved footgolf at Oak Trail. It was incredibly hot though so I would recommend bringing a few bottles of ice cold water as you will definitely get a workout in. As is the Disney way everything is meticulous and clean. The cast members are friendly and the facilities are well kept. Would definitely go back during “cooler” months.

Wow, what can I say. Very disappointed with the Magnolia course. I currently live 2 hours away. My friends and I we very excited to have a chance to play the famous Walt Disney World Magnolia Golf Course. Staff was great, couldn't be nicer. At first I was impressed with the nice putting green, though it was slow but at least it was smooth and the ball rolled well. My first clue was the driving range. Mats only. I'm sure this is because the maintenance staff doesn't want to do their job and maintain the hitting area. Who ever heard of paying $140 to play at a course but to warm up on mats? If Arnold Palmer or Walt Disney were alive they would both be very disappointed with the condition of this course. Yea, I know they will want to use the Covid 19 as an excuse for it, as do all companies. There is no excuse for this. I bought Group Golfer rounds. On the advertisement for it was told "great course". Regularly $140 per round for a discount to $69. Last time I played the Magnolia was back in the early 1990's. It was fantastic. Really a gem and worth top dollar. A PGA tour stop and maintained that way. Today I would rate is a decent municipal course worth about $35 per round. NOT the $69 I paid or the $140 GG claimed it to be worth. What a let down. Bare spots on all greens, weeds on all greens, weeds throughout the fairways and the rough was mostly weeds. Bunkers were in decent shape. Greens were slow and bumpy, was probably punched a few weeks ago, all holes filled over but no sand used to level the surface (was not informed of this when I made my tee time). Lots of bare spots all over the course, lots of areas just sand. Trees are not being trimmed (sign of a great and well maintained course). As a result low branches that catch stray shots. In addition lots of areas with no grass under the trees because sunlight can not get to the grass for it to grow. Lots of tree roots exposed. Lots of bare spots by cart paths. Lots of trash and debris in all ponds/lakes.
Again not bad for a $35 local or municipal course. If I were Disney, I would not want my name/brand associated with this course. Better to make it an overflow parking lot. What a real shame. VERY, VERY disappointed. I assumed that Disney still ran the golf operations and maintained the course. They do not. It is now run by the Arnold Palmer company. I have played a few courses that were run by the Arnold Palmer Group. I assume this is very expensive for the course owner. Typically they do not get their moneys worth. Overpriced and under maintained. Money must all be going to profit, top heavy management or overhead, very little to the course. If this is not the case then the superintendent needs to be replaced with someone that can get the job done with the resources allocated to him/her. In my opinion Disney needs to take this back over and return it to it's former glory. Unfortunately I bought 4 of these "deals". My dilemma is what to do with the other 3? Maybe the Palm or Lake Buena Vista will be better. I doubt it though. Think twice before wasting your money here. There are many fine course in and around Orlando, I would try them.

Believe it or not, one of my favorite courses. If you can shoot par here, you can anywhere. Not very long, but narrow fairways, postage stamp greens (a few turtle-backs) strategically placed traps and flags. You'd better keep it in play and, your short game better be good! So much fun! Of course the Disney staff are by far above average. Friendly, welcoming, happy to see you. Nothing but love from this life-time golfer.

I was an avid golfer before a freak accident on our property that left me paralyzed from the chest down plus numerous broken bones and complications. I thought I would never golf again. Last week I played for the first time in 2.5 years!
I was generously given use of the special golf cart that allowed me to be strapped into the seat plus it does no harm to the greens. The staff were all helpful and very friendly towards me and my family.
Thank you Disney’s Oak Trail golf course!

This is a fun little track that fortunately doesn’t get too much play unlike the other Disney courses. While it is a short 9 hole walking course it is still difficult with tight shots and lots of trees around. Great place to take a kid who’s learning or a girlfriend/wife. The wildlife is also a lot of fun to look at!

Lovely course that's full of wildlife. Don't assume that it's an "easy nine", because there's a stretch from holes 5 to 7 that will really test your game. They're the three prettiest holes on the course too. The greens aren't especially big either.
