Instructors were awesome! Specifically Hannah and Lyla for the new people. They were very friendly and easy going.

The manager was not friendly would give her 1 star.

Published prices on the website are not honored. The lady at check in taking cash quickly pointed out that SHE was the manager and prices have been that way since January.

If prices have been the same since January you have had 8 months to update the website with accurate information. It’s only $10 more so no big deal but annoying when you take the time to read all the info just to be told you’re wrong because the website is not accurate.

My girl and I were wanting to take a class there. My buds are in that class. No way interested in competition material. We all just hang and have fun. We have changed our mind. Too much bad vibes for me.

Thursday beginner line dancing is anything but. They need to look up the definition of "beginner." There's about 20 min of instruction for beginners then goes straight to more advanced and beginners are left sitting on the side watching a social gathering realizing they wasted $10 on a class that's actually closer to intermediate

Currently a 4.8 but SHOULD BE A FIVE. These slack jawed hooligans with the negative reviews, with hurt feelings and trashing the value....it's ridiculous.  Hugo and Stacy are awesome, as is the environment they have created and sustained.  District Dance Academy is freaking awesome, and anyone who says anything different I hereby slap you in the face with my glove (as is customary) and challenge you to a duel. ;-) That is all, carry on.

The best thing is supposed to be Hugo and Stacy, however, I do not agree.
My wife and I have been spending winters in the area for many years. We danced this past season at District West Coast Swing with Hugo "level 3".

At this point Hugo decided to add "level 4" by INVITE ONLY. My wife and I were forced to go to "level 3" if we wanted to dance in the class. He didn't Invite us, as he didn't even know our names. Level 3 was way below our skill.
The class consisted of 2 instructors, 1 man who was not qualified to dance, another woman who smelled like alcohol and another woman who was quite good.
That is hardly a good time. No interaction with the "friends" we have at "level 4" which had around 50 people and our class had 6 people.

If you are visiting, I wouldn't bother. Yes, if you dance with the "key players" and meet people, it could be fun.

We contacted Hugo and he didn't respond unless we want to pay the $200 an Hour fee for private lessons.

We have decided to go to the other West Coast Swing group at Bayou with Danielle.

Went there Monday night for Line dance class. The lady with green hair would NOT allow my interpreter go in with me. She was very abrupt to my mother. I would NEVER recommend this place!

This is a nice place. They have different events throughout the week that changes monthly. They do everything from belly dancing classes to swing dancing classes to hip-hop dancing classes and everything in between. Their prices are very reasonable and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for something new and different to do.

As a level 2 dancer, Hugo and Stacy's WCS classes are easy to understand and yet challenging to perform, which gives me the ambition to focus and strive better in my dances.

I have started taking Salsa/Bachata class on Thursday nights with Heather Zubkova. And I absolutely love it!!! Heather is an amazing instructor: she adjusts her coaching to all the different levels of dance, keeps it light & super fun. Whether you are a couple (like my boyfriend & I) or an individual without a partner, you will enjoy it. Heather has everyone rotate partners at certain points & allows those without partners dance together either with her or with another partner. I always pick up a thing or two dancing with someone I just met.

My name is John and I am the owner of Johnny's Photo Booth. My client had a wedding and reception at District Dance Academy and they had plenty of room to party, dance, and have a photo booth.
Hugo, the owner was very professional and polite as was his staff. The building was clean as well as the restrooms and kitchen.

My husband and I rented District Dance Academy for our wedding, and had an AMAZING experience! We had our reception/luncheon in the back ballroom (120 guests seated at round tables) and then opened up the FRONT ballroom for dancing and festivities. (They even have a third, smaller ballroom where you can have your ceremony or cocktail hour, but we got married at a church and used DDA for the reception.) They also have a large kitchen on site so if you want to do your own food, there is lots of counter space. My husband and I are dancers, and can testify that the wood floors in each of the ballrooms are top-notch for dancing, and super beautiful! The studio is decorated in a very trendy way, and simply, so you have lots of options to make your reception into how you want it to look (space is not frilly and gaudy like some others, it has a cool urban vibe). Also, lots of open parking. Highly recommend this venue!

Attended 2 dances at DDA (District Dance Academy), one with a live band. Great clear sound system, beautiful bamboo dance floor. We rented the small ballroom for a little party and it was a great price for 3 hours. The small ballroom had a sound system that looked identical to the sound system in the large ballrooms. We brought in our own food snacks and drinks. There was no charge to use the kitchen facilities. We used their projector and screen to display photos and videos of our family and friends during the party. It was a great setup. DDA was very easy to work with, and we got a great value for the rental fee.
