I’ve been with this gym since it was energym bought the place and have to say I have been more than impressed. They continue to renovate without being in the way of members to provide the best gym experience possible. All people feel welcome and are able to learn from one another as well as the staff. It’s always clean and has an amazing variety of equipment to fit whatever style of exercise you prefer. If I ever move back to this area I will 100% be joining the energym family again.

I have had an absolute nightmare experience with them charging my card after I have cancelled multiple times. At first they said since my girlfriend was the one using it she had to cancel in person (which is dumb because its my card). Then after a year of throwing free money at them she finally cancels in person and im still charged.
They are very nice people but this has been like a curse I cannot get rid of no matter how much effort I put into it just know its not easy to cancel.

The outside doesn’t do the inside justice. Walking in here the staff is amazing. There’s a lot of hidden gem machines that enables you to maximize whatever body part you’re trying to hit. It’s very spacious maneuvering. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced from any establishment.

I called and politely asked if they had any trial memberships available they said no. THEN they kept contacting me to try to sell me services I had already stated I was not interested in as they stated there is NO Hot-tub or free trial available. So unfortunately they received a bad review for initially harassing me for sales.

The owner is a gaslighting weirdo and continues to harass me because I left a bad review for very bad customer service. Instead of just improving their customer service practices like any sane human would do they choose to continue to harass me on my personal line.

I'm not sure what type of business practice this is but Brad (The Owner) seems VERY unprofessional and rude to say the least.

I joined this gym because I saw they respected capacity, but now it's crowded every day in the afternoons, and there are no machines available and no room to move, which definitely ruins my routine; I have to improvise. Plus, there's no parking space as a result. I'm disappointed. Just to make money, they accept and accept people without realizing that it's detrimental to the routines and comfort of their clients.

I live in Texas and visiting family for the holiday week. Stopped by the gym for the first time two days ago and had a great experience, so decided to come back for another workout.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was given a tour on my first visit and a free first workout. The gym has tons of equipment and a lot of space. All areas are very clean and everyone wipes down weight stations as they go.
Paul and John are top notch and made me feel welcome. Very friendly atmosphere overall.
Wish I had a gym like this back home. When I'm back in town, I'll definitely do my workouts here! Awesome gym!

I was staying overnight in Jacksonville and needed a one day pass at a good gym. I called EnerGYM NorthJAX when I arrived late in the afternoon and asked if I could come in that evening to workout. I spoke with John and not only was it ok, but he also gave me a brief tour of the gym. A+ for customer service. The gym had all the equipment I needed, and was modern, clean, not too busy in early evening when I went and had a good vibe. Highly recommend 👍

I love the Zumba classes instructed by Susan Kane every Mondays and Fridays at EnerGym Main St. She makes it so much fun. She has dance moves that cater to everyone. Her dance choreo include hip hop, Latin, etc., and music selection is from old to new. Her energy and friendliness are surely contagious.

I also love the MixxedFit class of Pamela Burr on Wednesdays. Talk about burning so much calories that I have reached my maximum heart rate countless times during her class. She will work you out while integrating dance moves. So much fun and she's super friendly as well.

I also love that the dance studio is dark and lit up by colorful lights. Sometimes I forget I am working out because I feel like I'm just in a club. The Gym is clean and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.

First off the gym is 24 hr access. Next they have plenty of great equipment and they’re great folks. I don’t live here but was working a turnaround in the area last October so I came in and signed up for a month. Well here I am 5 months later and I found out they been charging me ever since I left. Of course I wanted to go ballistic but I did an ok job of controlling myself. Long story short they made it right and for that I’m grateful. So when I come back to Jacksonville I will definitely be working out with these folks!

There were certain things I liked about the gym like the fact that they have a sauna but I really should have looked closer at the equipment. The equipment is very outdated. Some of it looks like it was donated. Half of the cardio machines don't work properly. I do like the yoga classes but I don't think I'll be renewing. Hopefully they'll be another gym opening with all the new development in oceanway.

coming to Florida for a two month vacation my biggest fear was finding a gym that was hardcore and similar to my gym back in ny. while Hunting for gyms close by I found this amazing gym. This is hands down the best gym on the Northside and the convenience of two location makes it even better. They easily have the best personal trainers to give you your ideal body. The transformation I’ve seen as early as 3 months after I started training with Jay was amazing. I joined this gym like 20 years ago and fell in love with the owners immediately. They became like family. Fast forward 18 years and the gym has new owners who are just as amazing. EnerGYM North Jax has a welcoming community and a wide variety of equipment compared to most gyms. The staff are constantly working on improving the quality of the customer's experience by maintaining the equipment and being available when needed. My experience has been enriched through the friendly staff, but in particular by Logan, as he offers helpful insight and explanations when I need assistance. He also serves as a role model to follow, because he's always in the gym hitting the weights, which inspires me to work harder and keep coming back. Started here under previous management and title “athletes choice”. Always a tough gym with all sorts of rare equipment, but wasn’t kept up the best. Under the new rebranding through Brad and others, this gym has been transformed into a top notch facility with all the amenities and equipment needed whether your interest is in weightlifting, cardio, or just staying active. the best gym in jax. i used to go to this gym before it was bought by enrgym and it was an good gym, had a very warehouse feeling to it which i loved, but it wasn’t 24/7 and it was a little rundown. Nevertheless when it was bought by Enrgym right away they started remodeling, fixing equipment, repainting, and they made the gym open 24/7 which is my favorite part. I walked in and met the owner Brad. Incredibly nice guy, very knowledgeable and friendly, made me feel very welcome. Greeted everyone who walked into the gym and as they left always told them to have a great day. Incredible gym, and it will only get better from here. Highly recommend for every gym rat. This is hands down the best gym in Jacksonville. Energym has the most helpful staff and the best machines. Logan, one of the staff members, was particularly helpful in showing me how to use some of the equipment and with showing me around. 10/10 recommend!

I've been going to this gym for about 5 years. I love the space, the amount of equipment , and all the classes they offer. From the first day I felt like I belonged here. Very family like here. I love zumba ,so that was a big factor for me . I love Susan Kane and all the instructors just make u feel at home and make working out so fun. Now that the new owners are making amazing upgrades n renovation I can't wait to get the best workouts and enjoy the gym even more. I love my gym. So if anyone is interested in coming in and checking things out, come dance with me or check out all the other amazing workouts you can do

This gym is making awesome renovations under the new owners. I’ve seen the work they’re doing with North Florida Renovations first hand and this is going to be the best gym in Jacksonville. It will be 24/7 from my understanding and is going to be really nice. Love this gym on the Northside.

I'm not a member, at least not yet. My wife loves the many to choose from classes and I'm just a barbell. The free weights are something from old school raw iron. Love it. Old cybex equipment remind me of the good old days. They have two big rooms for classes, day care, free weights room (massive), a room for cross fit, smoothy bar and few other things. The cardio room is a bit small but very manageable. Many different option to handle your fees. I do wish it would go to 24 access. They are not open on Sunday. A workout day for me. They have a three day free trial. Give it a shot.
