Beware. They use high pressure sales tactics and tell you prices of personal training sessions are one price, then they tell you after you sign up that they are actually higher now. Then they don’t tell you that the 6 month program doesn’t stop at 6 months, but they continue to bill you. Then when you go in to cancel, they say they did it, and then you continue to get billed. So you go in again, and they say it’ll all be taken care of. Yet they are now requiring more hurdles to jump over. It’s been an added stress on an already stressful year.

I’ll start with my main reason for giving this gym three stars, which is the hot tub constantly being down for long periods of time.
I decided to join this gym while deployed to this area, and one of the main reasons I joined was because of the hot tub, which I value for recovery after my workouts. I also work late, so being able to come here, work out, and enjoy the hot tub was the main selling point for me. I’ve been very disappointed that the hot tub is consistently down, often with no time frame for when it will be fixed. I’ve even had to drive almost an hour out of my way just to use a hot tub at a different EOS.
If I had known about the inconsistent operation, I probably wouldn’t have paid for a higher membership.
Besides that, the gym is nice, clean, and has good equipment.

i am changing my review to one Star, if i could do negative 10 i will do so; i broke my foot, about a month ago, since then i been emailing my local Gym, to freeze my membership..as well calling but they never transfer the calls, they ask to leave a message, not one call not one response back, i ask to speak to Gym manager, doesn't seem to be around, i have a call at all different times, here we have someone who i guess "Work from Home: since is never at the Gym, i also send notifications to corporate and their District Manager...NO RESPONSE EITHER, when you get injured they don't care ....they keep on collecting their fee!!!

Today, I was in the process of changing clothes when a male individual entered the women's locker room. He picked up a sign intended to be posted outside the door, indicating that a male would be present for cleaning purposes. I spoke with the manager regarding this incident; she insisted that the sign was taken out by the female adjacent to her. I clarified that this was not the case, as I knew who had looked at me and observed who entered through that door to retrieve the sign. This situation is inappropriate, particularly considering that at least eight other women were present and engaged in changing. There were approximately six women that work there that could’ve went and got that sign I offered to show the manager the man that came in. I’d walk around the gym and show her she insisted I not do that. All I can say is wow.

Cancelling a membership is an absolute nightmare. I tried to cancel my membership i. 2024, and the people I talked to told me that my membership will be cancelled, but it ended up not being cancelled at all! I have paid over $1000 in fees for membership and personal training as my account was NOT cancelled, and I talked to the managers at EOS just this month and that are STILL not able to cancel it. Stay away from this business and its scummy business practices!

Been going here for 2+ years. For a corporate gym, it punches above its weight—especially at this price point.

The Good:
-Affordable without feeling “cheap”
-Clean, well-kept, and staffed by genuinely friendly people
-Dumbbells up to 150 (rare win)
-Regulars have a solid, supportive vibe
-Hottest sauna in Sarasota—finally fixed and actually usable
-New attachments added this year (took forever, but we got there)
-Lot of cardio equipment (I should probably use it more)

The Bad (aka the entertainment):
-High school kids and wannabe influencers. Imagine trying to squat while a pack of 16-year-olds play grab-ass in between mirror selfies, or having to ask someone to stop filming their 37th “PR attempt” on bench just so you can, you know, actually lift weights. It’s a masterclass in how not to have gym etiquette.
-Parking. Benderson Development really outdid themselves here—be ready to spar for a spot during peak hours.
-Exercise bands vanish like socks in a dryer. EOS should have triple the amount in 2025.
-Turf areas are overcrowded + awkwardly in the spotlight. Zero chance to train “out of the way.”
-Layout is baffling. The pec deck placement basically guarantees a surprise smack in the back. And why leg machines live on a completely different planet from free weight leg equipment is beyond me.

Bottom line: Yes, I gripe—but it’s because I actually like it here. If you have any gym etiquette and treat the place as more than your personal TikTok studio, you’ll find EOS Landing worth it.

I couldn’t be happier with EOS Sarasota. The equipment is top-notch — from a huge selection of weights to plenty of cardio machines. The treadmills are especially impressive: smooth, sturdy, and well-maintained (no slipping belts like I’ve experienced elsewhere). On top of that, the day care is amazing. My kids actually beg me to go work out because they love it so much! EOS makes it easy to stay consistent and enjoy the gym.

The gym has a constant smell of excess chemicals which is sickening. Cleaning crew uses way too many chemicals. This is extremely toxic to people. They pour bottles of cleaner all over the floor and leave it. One of the cleaners at night that is black walks around vaping. There was also a member who was vaping. This should not be allowed. There are members who cannot be exposed to this excesd level of chemicals. In the evening sometimes you can't even go in the bathroom because they have to have a man in there when there are plenty of women cleaners, which makes no sense. The other night they turned off the water. This is a grave inconvenience to members. Hispanic cleaner almost banged into me with trash. When I said something she gave me a dirty look!? Then she claimed she didn't speak English.
Please get a hanging hook in The Loo, the unisex bathroom in the hall. As well as a paper towel dispenser in the Loo and the handicap women's bathroom. Inconvenient to obtain them from the gym floor. Paper towel dispensers on gym for often empty.
The hot tub is never hot it's always like 99 or 100, not much more than your body temperature this does nothing to help with pain. Please turn the temperature up to 103 so that we can get some pain relief. Same with the women's sauna...not very hot at all. Please do something about these problems.

I’m new to Sarasota and EOS. I’ve really enjoyed all the classes and instructors. Elizabeth always has positive energy and great music. My nickname for her is “energizer bunny” she just keeps going and going and going! Just when I want to give up…she smiles and encourages the class to keep going! Carol has been amazing! I’m always sore and learn something new in her classes! Both instructors always smile and make a huge effort to acknowledge people by their names which is very comforting, especially since I’m new to the area and know very few people. All the instructors have been great. Haven’t taken a class that I haven’t loved.

I want to give kudos to Sophie, Betsy and Elizabeth. I try to get to the gym on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Their classes are amazing! I am 71 years old and feel like I’m 20 when I leave EOS after their workouts. They are very engaging and try to make hard workouts FUN! I especially enjoy Elizabeth’s classes. Of course, I am biased because I followed her from LA Fitness but she is always trying to engage everyone in the class and always tries to keep the grueling classes from feeling difficult. Debating whether giving it a 3 or 4 star.
Positives: great facilities, always clean and good equipment, love the movie-watching room. Classes are great and all instructors are fantastic and friendly.
Negatives: Staff (excluding class instructors) are disinterested and unhelpful. I've had monthly progress checks for the last few months using the body scanner (which is a good perk) - I've never had them be on time for my appointment, always 15mins+ late, front desk staff aways seem confused and can't find my appointment or just point me back to talk to someone else. Last time I waited in front of 3 members of staff for 5 mins while they finished talking to each other, then I said I'm here for an appointment, one said ok and then they ALL turned and walked away from me!! I had to go back to reception and repeat myself to one of the people that had walked away, they said to just get on the scanner myself and then walked away, so I had to use it myself with no help and no discussion of the results. I didn't book another for next month, it's not worth the hassle of interacting with the staff. They seem to think parroting 'have a great workout' when you arrive and 'have a great day' when you leave constitutes customer service. I used to be a gym front desk manager myself and I know this is not up to standard.

Would’ve been my first day here but when I walked in, the front desk guy didn’t bother to look up from texting on his cell. When I said hello sir, he said nothing and looked bothered that he had to work. After looking at me with a blank stare, I said it’s my first time here. He still didn’t say a word, just looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language, so I turned around and left. This was 12:20pm on Sunday 7/27. When step class was canceled without warning or notification, i tried to find out what, if anything, was going to replace it. I called once per week for a couple of months, but the Group Fitness Manager, Carol, wouldn't return my calls. ZERO customer service = AWFUL customer service.

I strongly advise against visiting this gym for a trial membership.

I originally went in intending to use their free 7-day gym pass, which is heavily advertised. However, because my license still had my previous Florida address, I was told I didn’t qualify. They said I had to have a Sarasota address and instead only gave me a 1-day pass.

Before leaving, I told them I wasn’t planning to join because I couldn’t properly try out the group classes — which were a big reason I was interested. That’s when they offered a $1 sign-up deal and reassured me I could cancel within 3 days. I decided to give them a shot.

Khaita, the Assistant Manager, walked me through the sign-up. She was warm and reassuring, telling me several times that canceling would be easy, just a quick phone call. When I called the next day, she said she had already canceled the membership for me within the 3-day window. But when I looked in the app, my account was still active and it needed to be approved for cancellation by a district manager.

As of today, the membership has not been canceled, and Khaita stopped responding completely. I had to escalate to corporate just to try to cancel a basic trial membership, and it’s still unresolved.

The cancellation process is overly complicated and seems intentionally difficult. The experience has been misleading, frustrating, and completely unprofessional.

To make things worse, the gym itself was dirty, machines were covered in sweat streaks, and the bathrooms were filthy. It’s not a clean or pleasant space to work out.

I highly DO NOT recommend this place. And be cautious with Khaita, the Assistant Manager. She may seem friendly at first, but she does not follow through on what she promises and disappears when you try to hold her accountable.

This gym is a big depression club the employees just are like begging to sign you up for their “free” trial. Don’t trust them because I was told I could try it for 30 days before deciding if I want to join but the short brown little girl with curly hair reassured me that I won’t get billed, so days go by and I decide I don’t wanna go there anymore, and now she was being somewhat rude with attitude and told me that I had to pay the annual and that’s what we agreed upon, this gym is a joke

I had a very disappointing experience at this gym in Sarasota. During my workout, I follow a structured routine that includes 2-minute breaks between sets — something completely standard in strength training.

While taking those breaks, I sometimes respond to work emails on my phone. Despite this, I was approached multiple times by other gym-goers asking if I was using the machine, even though I clearly explained I was on a short break and happy to switch if needed. No one actually asked to work in — they just stared, hovered, or ran to staff.

Eventually, a trainer approached me. And while he wasn’t openly rude, his tone was laced with sarcasm. He repeated — twice — something like “So… two-minute breaks? Really?” in a way that clearly mocked my routine. It felt like he was questioning my training methods instead of being supportive or professional. His attitude was ironic and dismissive, which was honestly the most uncomfortable part.

This gym seems to foster an environment where people don’t communicate directly and where staff — instead of encouraging respect among members — subtly side with passive-aggressive complaints. If you’re serious about training and expect a professional atmosphere, I would recommend going elsewhere

Excellent Gym and facilities … the staff is courteous - especially Kevin at the front desk always welcoming … the gym is super clean and all equipment is well maintained and constantly updated.
