I’m so glad I found Equilibrium Fitness! Katia’s help and expertise have helped me to get so much of my strength back and we’re still not done. I’m excited to get even stronger and toned again. She listens to the issues I’m having physically and works with me to curate a plan that suits my needs. She makes everything so doable and her passion for helping others is so genuine. Katia has worked with my family for 8 years. My personal training journey started after a surgery and a mental blockage. She helped me rehab my shoulder, including showing me proper form and muscle use. After my shoulder became stronger, she helped gear my workouts to help me become stronger for my sport. She is always willing to talk with me and help me through my various questions and frustrations. I always have fun, and leave smiling…even when she wiped me out. Thanks for being there for us!

Katia Gorodetsky is the best Personal Trainer I have ever worked with. I was fortunate to have trained with her for 6 years in Salt Lake City (SLC), during which time we worked on balance, strength, stamina and flexibility. During times of athletic injuries, she was able to modify her training program to guide me back to health.

Although there is no shortage of Trainers in SLC, Katia developed Equilibrium Fitness to support her clients here and to develop new clients there.
Some of Katia’s strengths include:
- Ability to demonstrate exact positioning (she’s good!) and make minor corrections in body position during exercises
- Demonstrates excellence in knowledge and application of fitness training, through direct teaching and skill modeling
- Has experience working with a wide range of clients of all ages and fitness levels, particularly seniors with osteoporosis, joint dysfunction, and various chronic conditions
- Maintains a high level of professionalism at all times and client confidentiality

I’m an aging avid hiker. I came to the realization late that to stay fit, I needed to work with a trainer who would design workouts specific to my strengths AND areas of weakness which have accumulated over the years. I only worked with Katia for a few months in Salt Lake City, but I saw great results in my fitness level in that short time. I had never been comfortable with using free weights or the machines in a gym but with Katia’s help I have built up confidence navigating the gym equipment and I now understand how to increase reps and weights. Katia is very knowledgeable and also listened carefully to my individual needs and concerns and she tailored exercises that were manageable and fun from day one. She also showed me how to level the exercises up so that I could continue on my own when I felt ready. I can’t recommend Katia enough! You will be in the best of hands with Katia as your trainer!

I am 74-year-old physician scientist who worked with Katia Gorodetsky weekly for the last 4 years in Salt Lake City prior to her move to Florida. She was a perfect trainer for me because she 1) has outstanding knowledge of anatomy and exercise physiology, and avidly continues her education in these areas, 2) is incredibly professional and responsible - always on time, communicated quickly, and does not waste time with chatter but focuses on the work at hand, and 3) listened when I had occasional aches/pains and worked around and improved these problems. Prior to Katia, I exercised regularly on a stationary bike, but it’s remarkable to me how much stronger I now feel everywhere. I have learned countless stretching and muscle strengthening exercises – but perhaps more importantly, I understand the principles of what they do and how not to hurt myself at the gym. I am immensely grateful for my time with her.

Katia is professional, very knowledgeable, and relates well to her clients. I worked with Katia for more than five years. She continued training me after physical therapy. She is adapt at finding your point of fitness and developing workouts to take you to the next level. She works on core strength, upper body strength, legs, and balance. I've been a client for several years, and I can't recommend Katia with Equilibrium Fitness enough. Before training with her, I struggled with limited range of motion and discomfort in my hips, but now I feel so much more fluid and confident while exercising. Katia took the time to understand my body mechanics and tailor exercises specifically to improve my mobility. I truly wouldn’t trust anyone else with my training – she's professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in her clients' progress.
