Equinox Brickell Heights is one of my favorite gyms in Miami. The space is big, beautifully designed, and always spotless. The atmosphere feels both energetic and upscale -everything from the locker rooms to the workout areas is perfectly maintained. The equipment is top quality, there’s plenty of room to train comfortably, and the staff keeps the place running smoothly. It’s easily my favorite Equinox location in the city.

Horrible treatment by the most expensive gym! The first time I signed up for equinox I was going to a different location, where they STOLE a very important necklace for me. Equinox team lied to my about being able to check cameras and that it would show up. I followed up everyday with them for them to not have any answers. So I cancelled my memebrship because I do not pay that much money a month for an establishement where they steel your belongings. Then I reactivate my membership at this location thinking it would be a better experience and had to cancel (i orginally wanted to only freeze my membership) my membership due to an injury. To which they had me provide private medical records, which I did. My doctor has never heard of such a thing. Then I reach out to get a reinboucement for that month's fee since I cancelled my membership the day they charged for the next month and due to MY INJURY I can't use the establishements. And they reply with a contract that is not event updated with my new membership information and also IT WAS NEVER signed by me.

Horrible customer service!!!! They made me feel like i was just more Money to them, when its a brand that talks about taking care of their members and their experience.

Equinox Brickell has been an amazing experience from day one. The staff is always welcoming, professional, and attentive, which really sets the tone every time I walk in. I absolutely LOVE The Equinox Spa in Brickell Heights. (Massages, Hydrafacial’s, Yoga, Pool, with incredible 360 views all on the same floor). You don’t have to be a member to use the spa for a massage or facial, and will gain access to the club for the day! It’s worth it if you like to be in the center of Brickell, can walk everywhere.

Equinox Brickell Heights is easily one of the nicest gyms in the area. The space is bright and open, with tons of natural light and great views that actually make you look forward to working out.

They’ve got brand-new machines, a beautiful pool, and a full lineup of yoga classes, so it’s easy to mix things up. The staff is super friendly and helpful, which gives the whole place a welcoming vibe.

I've been a member here for around a year, it's my happy place. 1000/10 recommend.

Also please note that the spa here is amazing. I recommend Matilde Blanco for massages, I've seen her multiple times, each time I go in with some type of pain and then leave without it. She incorporates stretching into the massage and just frees up everything that was locked up before. The BEST!

For almost the past month I have been trying to get a refund for an overcharge on my spa treatment. It is despicable how they can get away with the treatment they give their customers. After my spa treatment, I was trying to oversee my billing and was pretty much rushed out as the esthetician said that there was no need for me to be there as I would be billed to the card on file. Then, oddly enough, my discount was not applied. Ever since, the staff at the front desk refused to give me the spa manager's card or contact, saying not to worry and that they will contact her for me. Again, I have not heard back from anyone since last month. So, I am trying to reach out through Google reviews as a last resort.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Anaïs Gornail at Equinox Brickell Heights. Not only was she rude and unprofessional, but she also mishandled my membership cancellation request, causing unnecessary frustration and delays.

I followed the correct procedure to cancel my membership and was given written confirmation that my cancellation would take effect as early as February 1, 2025. However, despite my multiple requests and clear communication, I was later informed that my membership would remain active until March 1, 2025—contradicting what I was originally told.

When I tried to resolve this issue, Anaïs was dismissive, condescending, and unhelpful. Instead of assisting me, she demanded proof of cancellation—which, of course, I did not have because Equinox failed to process my request properly in the first place.

This level of incompetence and lack of customer service is unacceptable, especially at a luxury gym that prides itself on excellence. I strongly urge Equinox management to train their staff better and hold them accountable for honoring their commitments to members.

If you’re considering this location, be cautious when dealing with membership matters, as their process is disorganized and certain staff members are not equipped to handle issues professionally.

For a brand that claims to be 'cutting edge,' I'd rather the equipment actually be cutting edge instead of wasting energy on some shallow, sexualized branding. The layout is a disaster, and it’s clear to me that Equinox is more focused on real estate than actually being a serious fitness brand.
As an ex athlete, I am feeling trapped this is the only large fitness facility to attend in the downtown Miami area. The equipment is outdated, many often broken for WEEKS at a time—nowhere near what’s out there in the market, my tiny 2008 apartment gym has better equipment.

I went to Equinox Brickle Heights Spa for the first time. Eric (Erih) is the best!! I booked a 110 minute massage (body work) with Eric on 12/26/24. Words are not enough !! How Amazing Eric is !!! He is professional, through, and kind!! He cares about each and every person that is on his massage table. He is soo amazing that I followed him to Equinox!! He has been my Massage Therapist for Two Years!! He knows how to work his way down into the deep layers of muscle!! He is amazing with the massage gun enhancement!! He does everything from light massage to deep tissue massage! I usually get a deep tissue massage to help me with my chronic pains. He incorporates different methods and modalities like trigger point, rocking, palpations, ect. To help your muscles relax and work out stubborn knots! He helps sore painfull muscles feel better and recover, from working out or just life happening . He helps the pain melt away. He uses Hot Towels. His knowledge and Skills are used to help you feel better!! By the time he is done, there is no more pain! He incorporates stretching. He listens intently to what you need and where you need it. From tight sore muscles from working out or to old injuries like my bad shoulder, back issues, to my sciatica down my left leg!! He is the reason I stopped taking pain medicine 2 Years ago!! No lies!! I was in a lot of pain when I found him!!!. He became my massage therapist.!! He truly is the best!! His knowledge, skills and kindness goes above and beyond. He gives you his all from start to finish. If you want to talk he will listen and speak with you. If you want a silent massage then he is quiet. He also checks in on you to see if the pressure is ok!! At anytime let him know if you want more or less pressure. 110 minute massage feels like 20 minutes to me. In the end I am feeling like I am floating on a cloud. Equinox has found a precious and rare gem!! Eric is fabulous and genuine! They are lucky to have him!! Eric is the best!! Hands down!! No one quite like him!!! Last April, my neck locked down with shooting acute pain!! I could not move it an inch. I went to Eric!! After the massage with stretching, my range of motion was restored and pain went down to just sore!! Because of Eric, with 2 extra follow up massages later, I was totally fine. I never missed a day of work because of him!!! See for yourself what I mean!! Book your massage (body work) with Eric (Erih)!!! Go See for yourself!!! Club membership is not required to use the spa services like receiving a massage. 20% gratuity is added to your bill at the end automatically. But I still tip in cash what I feel is appropriate in addition to that, but that's just me. Make sure you drink plenty of water and pee before the massage and after it is over. Hi. Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, the Bike class has been canceled three times. Instead of informing the attendees in a timely manner, we have to go to the front desk to ask. It seems there is no protocol for what happens when a trainer is absent. This happened once on a Saturday and twice on Sundays. When a member misses a class, there is a protocol where you get a notice, and if you miss several, you get penalized. So it's very disappointing to attend a class and realize there is no control or protocol when this happens.

Probably my favorite city Equinox. The crowd is very much reflective of the energy, health focus, and cosmopolitan nature of Miami, and the pool deck is a great bonus.

Having so many fit people share the space is an extra motivation during the workout.

The gym does get crowded compared to other Equinox locations in Miami/NYC, but the people are universally friendly and accommodating.

I wish they had one more functional trainer, since they do have the space, but that is nitpicking.

A disappointing and deceptive experience at Equinox

I joined Equinox in January, and from the start, things were unclear. They never explained that the membership was locked in for a full year. In June, when I tried to cancel, I was told I couldn’t, and I couldn’t even speak with the person who signed me up because they had quit. The same thing happened with my personal trainer, who also left without any notice.

The staff is unqualified and unable to provide solutions. When my trainer left, the quality of my sessions dropped significantly. To my shock, the managers admitted that even my previous trainer hadn’t been properly qualified. How is it possible that Equinox allows underqualified people to train their members? This is completely irresponsible and unacceptable.

As of today, I’m still trying to cancel a service I haven’t used in three months, and no one is capable of providing a clear solution. Equinox behaves like a scam, and their staff treats customers very poorly. The lack of professionalism is apparent in every interaction. This experience has been so frustrating that I’ve lost all motivation to continue training. Avoid this gym at all costs.

I recently had a deeply disappointing experience at this gym ( Brickell Heights) . I was invited for a trial session by a member of the sales team (Aaron), who assured me that it was fine to train online with my personal coach during my visit. However, during my workout, a man who claimed to be the gym manager (Matthew Evans) approached me in an extremely rude and aggressive manner. He demanded that I leave the gym to continue my online training outside, despite the fact that I had been given permission by their own staff.

To make matters worse, this confrontation happened in front of other gym members, making the situation both embarrassing and uncomfortable. The manager raised his voice, threatened to kick me out, and showed a complete lack of professionalism.

It’s clear that there is a serious miscommunication between the sales department and gym management regarding their policies. Instead of addressing the issue calmly and professionally, the manager chose to behave in an unacceptable way. I am very disappointed and won’t be returning. I expected much better from a place like this.

Other Miami locations are much better in this sense. On the other, many amazing classes and talented instructors. Not worth the price. Equipment is standard, towels are old, gym is small and can get crowded, classes are fine but nothing special, razors provided but are the cheapest material, and the worst is that they can change fees without notification. Aloof staff and management. As a member for 5 + years incredible to see the lack of courtesy by staff. Front desk staff on phones, gossiping with each other when they should be welcoming guests. Unlike NYC locations absolutely no monitoring of the floor for those on speaker phones in cardio area, those on the phones vs working out on equipment. This comes from the top down. This is a gym. Where people workout. Rather management allows it to be a social venue where those of us who actually want to train and pay to do so are at the beckon of those who could care less blocking equipment. Management train staff to act like professionals in a facility where we pay good money to belong and train, not spend countless hours on our phones.

Its crowded at 5-6 and they could use a couple more machines like a fly machine. Everyones always using the double cables for flys which ties up two cables that would be free with one fly machine.

Other than that, its always clean, friendly people. Some negative review said something about people on their phone, which I disagree with. They have signs up saying not to talk on your phone and then they also don’t try to catch people if they’re answering a quick call. It just feels very mature. Like they’re not trying to let every complaint dictate how they run the club.

It definitely feels upscale. And I live here but I can imagine parking is tough. But I think it sorta comes with the area.

I will give it two stars just because the gym has very good equipments and classes. However they should be more strict when it comes to letting people talk on their phones. It's insane the amount of people you see using their phones here and talking out loud next to you or sitting on any equipment wasting time. Like I get it it is 2023 and everyone is into it, but at least talking on the phone out loud for hours shouldn't be allowed. there should be someone getting this people outside to use their phones and then they can come inside just to workout. Since these people wont realize by themselves, they need someone to let them know. This happens everyday! This is a GYM not a phone room!

I just visited this location being used to working out at Hudson Yards and I found that it could need some improvement to be up to par. There are simply not enough amenities. They should bring the barrel saunas they have at Hudson Yards to their rooftop. They should add a jacuzzi on that rooftop too. Yes, a pool is nice and the steam room is excellent but it’s not enough for such prime location. The rooftop has a lot of empty space and it would be very easy to upgrade it to a more luxurious experience.

I have read that there will be a new location at Miami Worldcenter, perhaps that will become the flagship and it will have all the bells and whistles but, for now, it wouldn’t take much to improve this location.

Opportunistic cancellation process .I have been an Equinox member for about 4 years total now. The cancellation process is my only gripe with Equinox. They required documents to cancel my membership that I could not provide, and despite knowing this they took advantage of my situation by continually charging me to a total of almost $1000. On top of this, they have records of my complete absence from the facility for months and still decided to continue charging me. Management was dismissive and didn’t show an ounce of concern for my situation, but instead incessantly parroted the cancellation policy. Awful experience to say the least.

No enforcement of the rules. Recently left this gym as I joined equinox to avoid the talk on the phone and not rack your weights crowd has taken over. Add to that instragram/onlyfans social media stars taking over the equipment for photo shoots, etc and not letting other members work in. If you enjoy NY transplants talking loudly on their phones while attempting to "work out" this is a great place. Staff doesnt care to enforce the rules Equinox orginally sought after. Equipment is old, decaying as well. The views are great from here if thats your deal. Good location and friendly service staff cleaning the place. But i just cancelled cause i want a phone free zone and to get in and out. Very true about the trainers as well. Not racking weights and occupying multiple pieces of equipment at once. Brickell location better for this slightly. To be fair most gyms in Brickell are like this, cater toward the lunch time workout crowd over serious lifters. Did a year and no more. Didnt live up to the phone free zones that disappeared. Some people like having everyone hear their business deals and personal conversations i guess.

Equipment wobbly and unstable. Regularly run out of wipes to clean equipment. Maintenance staff constantly mopping the floors while I’m trying to work out or in the locker room and I end up having to dodge the mop from hitting my feet. Not what a high end gym experience should be. Awful.

I do not recommend it because all the stair masters, some treadmills usually do not work and the AC is not working is really hot to work out plus it is always packed, so when you complain to the manager and after sending a lot of emails, her solution was if you do not like it you are free to cancel, so I CANCEL IT. It supposed to be a premium gym and in all the time I had been there, they never update or added machines or gave me a solution. Her attitude was rude like she does not care about the customers. I went to a yoga class during my trip to Miami and this beautiful gym made my day even better 😃

The facilities are clean, spacious, people is nice, the pool has a terrific view, and the yoga instructor @papa_guru (IG) was amazing. This location also counts with wet room but not sauna. I ask to a fellow member and she said if I wanted sauna I just had to step out in the street ,😅🤣

There is also plenty of restaurants, cafes, and a mall in the area.

Only slightly more impressive than a hotel gym. Very small. Insufficient and outdated equipment. Also very hot inside. Can they not afford to keep the AC on? They need to add equipment to the upper levels and have longer hours to help ease the crowding. Lifetime destroys this place. What gym still has 12 month contracts? Equinox does. Because they have to or everyone would quit. I don’t mind paying a premium but I expect something premium in return. Equinox Brickell isn’t even close to delivering that.

Charged on my card for monthly fee don't know why the charges are what they are called equinox - no managers around abs apparently I don't exist in their system- so I assume there is some sort of credit card fraud they are pulling. Please do NOT join this gym- currently trying to get out of membership due to disorganization lack of customer service and it's kinda odd how they can't find me in their system yet charged my card... one of the worst gyms ever
Manager called me- said he couldn't find me in the system bc I was telling them my first name was Sana- that is my first name so I told them my correct name- condescending implied I didn't know my name- currently working with a lawyer As they lied about my monthly fee- and implied I didn't know my own name- please avoid this gym.

This review is about the valet service Brickell Heights Equinox uses: *WARNING* the valet will steal from you. two days ago I valeted my car there and when my keys and wallet (connected to my keys) were returned to me I had $50.00 in cash taken our of the wallet along with like 4 dollars in quarters in the center consul. Valet management did absolutely nothing. This is extremely unprofessional for a valet company that supports Equinox customers that need to park. As a patron of Equinox, I should never have to feel unsafe or like I have to hide my belongings from a valet service which is now the case. Extremely disappointing.

The gym itself is super nice and it’s a really good size considering the location. It’s Miami so it’s always hit or miss in terms of how many people are more focused on their appearance than their workout, but if you avoid the before/after work rush, it’s not bad at all. For me the +/- $200 per month is worth it when you consider the other options in the area

This is a sales driven organization not health outcomes driven. A Gucci gym not for serious fitness.
The facility is great and their group classes are ok. I did 12 weeks of personal training and came out worse than I started With BMI, Fat and muscle content.
They had billing problems and scheduling problems too and their attitude is it is what it is we can’t do anything about it😳
If you are serious about fitness results you are better off finding a serious gym at a fraction of the cost.

This is the best gym that I have ever attended! When I lived in downtown Miami, I had a membership to this location. The value was 100% worth it!

The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The property was clean and organized. I never had an issue making my goals of attendance because I actually wanted to go there. It was a great experience!

I enrolled in their personal training sessions, yoga classes and made the most out of every workout. Their app is great and easy to use! Scheduling workouts on the app limited the number of people so it was never crowded.

I had to cancel my membership following a move to Pembroke Pines. I wish they would open another location in that area.

Absolute worst experience at a gym club ever. This place is managed and ran by massively incompetent people. Never park your car at the club valet. They will commit $1000+ damage to your vehicle and dodge all accountability. Management and concierge service showed zero integrity and accountability in helping its customer with the situation. These people could care less, the only thing I’ve seen any employee do is sit around eating chipotle in the back office and chatting. I’ve asked for a manager 9 different times at the front desk and I’m always told they “stepped out” as if that’s their cover policy with receptionists if they’re requested to do their job for a single moment out of the day - absolute joke.

I am traveling from LA to Miami. 3000K miles! Having to pay $200 for my access, just for one club in LA… and then asking to make an exception for a day pass in this club and being said “NO”, its the worst experience I ever had. According to my home gym, I do have a couple of free passes in any other club, but according to Brickell Heights, that doesn’t apply to them. The front desk was sarcastic when I asked her to make an exception.
Cancelling this club for me and my partner. We have taken too much from these people. How exclusive is this, that our money has no value for them.

I very much enjoyed my time at equinox. The club is clean, the equipment is in great shape, the trainers are solid.

I'm leaving this 3 star review because I don't have any interest in going to the club with the current state of COVID. They told me I cannot cancel my membership until 1 year after sign up date. I understand that this is what I signed up for, but the situation has changed since November.

I'm annoyed because:
- Equinox cannot offer me a safe place to work out without putting a lot of limitations on my experience
- Equinox is happy to charge me the same monthly fee anyways

I was told I can cancel the membership if I get a doctors note. I'm going to go ahead and do that.

If you think you will be safer in Equinox think twice. No rules here pertaining mask use. It is NOT a safe space and they continue to disregard they need staff to make people accountable for not wearing masks in an enclosed space, particularly making loud noises and exhaling like gorillas in the weight area.

Edit: As usual, management contacted me assuring their “commitment” to safety and health. BS! Everything nowadays is to “document” actions that never happen. Weeks later, most members have their noses outside the mask or worse, the mask in their chin. When you go to the concierge to notify these issues, you get attitude. Miami is a hot covid spot for a reason.

This place is a joke. What you read on all the other reviews about poor customer service is right on. The club is so under maintained, broken machines, tears and rips in equipment, dust everywhere.

After a year of being a member I've finally pulled the plug since the management is so incompetent, they couldn't fix simple things like club cleanliness after repeated complaints.

During the course of this past year, there has been a high turn over in the staff and management, which says a lot about this place as well.

Save yourself the money, go find a better place to work out.

The service at this club is shocking. Management team is completely unaware of how to adequately process membership re-activation and cancellations. Front desk team have their cell phones out while texting at the desk, lack professionalism and communication skills, and have ZERO idea of who handles what. Membership advisor who dealt with me to reactivate my membership never followed up and as a result noone took care of it ...it is a week later and my membership is still showing inactive. This gym is appalling, and if corporate knew how the operations team was running this facility they would undoubtedly make changes-FAST. For the amount of money you are asked to pay, be prepared to be treated with no level of service or respect.

Extremelly packed for the price. Not enough machines, way too many people. Workers are very nice, the place is very clean. But if you plan on working out at 6pm -- might as well bring a movie with some snacks because youre gonna be waiting.

Lets not even talk about the valet -- bring a second pair of keys just in case. Theyre known for "misplacing" your keys. They take 40 minutes to bring your car down -- not exaggerating. And, they expect a tip lmao. Ure better off ubering to the gym.

Facilities aren’t that great for the price. If you are going to that gym, and need where to park, be prepared for valet to take over 20 minutes almost everytime you go. Overpriced gym, gets packed almost everytime and valet just sucks in general. If you want to cancel, it will be the hardest thing to do, so you might as well cancel your card, because they won’t cancel your subscription just like that. I do not recommend this gym to anyone.

The facilities are really good as some of the instructors. Unfortunately the management is changing schedule often and even taking off some classes that I was attending because for them have not enough importance. I have talked with two different managers to ask to keep the classes but they just seem to not care at all. They look at you with that big fake smile, saying that for them it is really important what is the client opinion or suggestions..but you can feel it is all fake!So I started different classes and the room was so crowded that it was impossible to exercise without risking to hit others or to receive a kick from others.
The Vallet is terribly slow! It takes half an hour to have the car even when I am the only one being served.
So, what at the beginning was a good experience, now it is something that doesn’t worth the price!
I will stop the membership since there is no reason for me to be part of the gym anymore.

Went in to tour and hopefully join. Waited at front desk 10 min while they talked to each other and ignored me. It was only when I started to walk upstairs they acknowledged me. Very pretty and by far bigger than any other equinox I've been. However, be prepared to pay valet parking in cash (yes cash only!) I personally hate to leave my car in the valet and I never carry cash with me so it was a unpleasant situation. I don't think I will be coming more to this gym.
