Revised from 5 stars to 1 star! Poorly managed, constant issues with managing class capacity, issues with app that indicate that you are booked on yet the manager states confirma an issue with the app but asks you to leave the class since you are not truly being booked (even though it was there mistake), etc. Baffling to say the least! I’ve been at Equinox locations in California, Connecticut, Illinois and New York and it was never this bad. Thankfully now, other alternatives exist left Equinox after severals years being a member.

Noah’s sound meditation class was an incredible experience. He skillfully explores a rich range of vibrational tones using ancient singing bowls and unique musical instruments. The session was deeply calming and immersive—truly a gift for the mind and body. Highly recommend!

I’m beyond disgusted with the conditions at this Equinox location. As an Executive Member, I expect a clean, high-standard environment — not filthy towels, dingy robes, and bathrooms that look like a gas station. The towels are grimy and smell like they’ve been reused a hundred times. It’s revolting to take a shower and have to dry off with something that feels and smells unclean.

And the bathrooms? Absolutely vile. Toilet paper on the floor, unflushed toilets, dirty stalls — it’s unacceptable. This is supposed to be a luxury fitness club, yet it’s being run with zero attention to hygiene, presentation, or member experience.

What exactly are we paying premium rates for? Because it’s not cleanliness, it’s not maintenance, and it’s certainly not luxury. If this is the standard Equinox is allowing, then shame on the brand. You’re charging top-tier membership fees and delivering bottom-of-the-barrel conditions.

I just enjoyed a tour with Alex Hebert of the Equinox Fitness and Spa center located in the Four Seasons Hotel and Residence complex in Brickell. I have historically been a member at world class facilities. This Equinox facility is world class. I was graciously met by Siya M., the Director, and we had a lovely chat. Beauty is in the creature comforts, the number of activities, the app and member service which I can say are excellent. Also, there is a new Equinox opening at 575 Rosemary St., West Palm Beach, FL 33401.

I highly recommend the Equinox Brickell location. Self Love = care for your body, mind and Spirit.

I don’t even go to this gym. Someone signed up with my phone number and they will not stop harassing me. I have told this human (not a bot) repeatedly I don’t attend the gym, am not even a woman, and don’t live in Miami. But she still texts me. And I don’t mean occasionally, I’m talking 25 pictures in a minute of some other woman’s clothes I guess she left there? And after she confirms that she knows I’m not whoever she thinks she’s texting, SHE KEEPS TEXTING ME PICTURES. I couldn’t imagine how annoying actually joining the gym would be, unless it’s just this incredibly persistent person who won’t stop harassing me. She edited her texts to remove her name.

Can you imagine a gym with showers but no towels?!?!?!? No?

Well this equinox is the one gym with full showers and a spa but no clean towels. Not even one towel available to shower available! Beyond unacceptable for equinox

I asked around and apparently i had to wait anywhere between 30-45 min for a clean towel, just wrong.

Visited this location with my boyfriend who was working out with a friend. Sometimes I don’t want to have to think about which exercises to do, so I asked my bf to give me a good workout to follow. I have been working out for 4+ years… I know how to workout. However, not long after my boyfriend was stopped and told he was violating policies by “training me”. Mind you we weren’t even by each other. Management has been a hassle to deal with ever since and won’t put anything in writing, only in person probably so they can manipulate to fit their narrative. Oh well, definitely won’t be coming back. Makes sense why it was so dead while I was there during “peak hours”…

$250 -300 for no real spa amenities. No sauna ,plunges, additional recovery. Just a steam room spitting out Miami water.

Majority of Weightlifting equipment is exactly the same brand and model as you would get at a crunch or planet fitness just white. Limited equipment and variety is very basic.

Training manager complained about me “training” to management as I gave my girlfriend a line up of what to do while working out with a buddy.
Requested for documentation citing my actual policy violation multiple times that was broken and was offered to only speak in person as I see people doing the exact same thing all over.

Was a brand that used to be known for luxury fitness but honestly is just behind in times in that market considering equipment and amenities.

Front desk staff was always kind and very helpful. Custodial staff also great and gym was clean and maintained.

I have been a long time member of Equinox regularly visiting the locations in NYC, Florida and Chicago. Unfortunately the Brickell location, which is one of the most popular fitness centers, does not control the trainers from reserving and holding machines for their clients during peak periods. I recently was told by Dakota Heuer at Brickell that I would have to wait 15 minutes to use a machine since he was holding it for a client doing a circuit. How management can allow this policy at a club that is already at capacity is crazy. They also need to train people like Dakota to be civil to members and cooperate with other members to allow everyone to get their workouts done.

This is by far the best Equinox location in Brickell. The staff is extremely kind and straightforward when addressing any issues. Especially two young men at the front desk are always welcoming. I don't want to get their names wrong, but they both have braids or twists. I love the infra-red sauna, it's a serious gym and very well maintained.

My wife and I have been a member of the Executive Club at this Equinox for a year and a half and have nothing but positive things to say. Their service is stellar, and the people are friendly and kind.

Please get a cold plunge for your members!

**Avoid if You're Looking for Premium Service!**

If you're expecting a premium guest experience, *STAY AWAY* from this Equinox location. It may look sleek on the outside, but the guest experience is shockingly subpar. Honestly, it's like Planet Fitness with nicer architecture.

I've had an incredibly frustrating time trying to reach anyone in charge—whether it's the Assistant General Manager or General Manager—after multiple attempts and countless promises of callbacks that never happen. It's clear that the management here is either incompetent or simply doesn't care.

This gym is highway robbery for what they charge, and you’re definitely not getting the premium experience that they advertise. Equinox really needs to step up their game.

I called to inquire about the prices for the Pilates classes, and the person who answered said they are only available for private members. When I asked how to apply, he said I would need to come in and speak with the manager, who would then assess whether I meet the criteria. The person on the phone seemed quite arrogant compared to the welcoming attitudes I've encountered at other gyms and clubs.

An overpriced hotel gym with outdated equipment. Only positives are it is the only decent gym in the heart of Brickell and it is kept clean. They are not shy about raising your monthly dues while promising but failing to update their decades old machines—unlike Life Time, Anatomy and other, better gyms that offer state of the art equipment from TechnoGym.

The men's changing room is uncomfortably cold at 57 degrees. AC is blowing on the highest level. It's hard to understand why the temperature needs to be set so low, making it extremely uncomfortable to change to anyone after working out and sweating.
Forget about showering because it will feel like ice cold most likely lead to being sick.

I love this place. I started out as an employee and have now been a member for over 5 years. Classes are diverse and challenging. The staff is incredibly knowledge. Used to come to this location when it was Sports/Club LA and it was great. I’m now at Equinox Brickell Heights, and just came to this location as Brickell Heights had an issue with the AC. Well, 3 stars for this Four Seasons location, why? just because someone or the “interior designer” decided to change all lights to be pure white everywhere (lobby, locker rooms, etc). The club looks like a warehouse or a hospital in the early morning which makes it very depressing. Thank God Brickell Heights has a great lighting interior design.

Overall spa experience was mediocre. Spa services were average. Given zero directions where to go when I arrived and I had to ask. I then could not access locker room as suggested having to go back and fourth to reception desk multiple times for them to finally realize they needed to unlock a door to let me in. I booked a prenatal massage and therapist did not know I was pregnant when I very clearly booked a ‘prenatal massage’ and also filled out the consent form indicating so. Started 15+ minutes late for her to accommodate.

Spa said they carried the full BR line. They did not and did not do anything to help. I wasted my time dealing with Brickell traffic to be turned away empty handed. BR is known for its customer service—that’s why you are paying $$$. Wouldn’t return, go somewhere that is more BR focused.

The hours are wrong as it closed at 6:00pm on Saturday 7/16/2022 . Thats the only real problem with Equinox is that you have to get in early. For people with busy daytime schedules, getting in might be a problem. But thus gym is nice. I think its the only Equinox with a pool. The equipment is good. The fly machine need the bolts tightened on the handle bar. Other than that Its great.

Once more, equinox has the best instructor led classes. The selection of home classes is outstanding; the pandemic elevated their collection. In person: Sculpting and Whipped! are fantastic. Best Butt Ever and Metcon are classics - which makes them less fun tbh. The only gripe is the mediocre spin studio and that Pilates is not offered even with such a high monthly fee. Before you sign up I’d measure the above to make a decision whether this is the gym for you

Edit: Changing my 5 star review to 4 stars. I requested a body measurement (unfamiliar with the machines name but it captures your body fat percentage) with a red headed front desk worker. Because she was the only person manning the desk she couldn’t leave, which I completely understand, but she also did not have the phone numbers of any of her coworkers so she could see whether someone was unoccupied. As a result, I had to search all over the gym for someone. Management should empower their staff with a process for them to communicate between each other.

This is a sales driven organization not health outcomes driven. A Gucci gym not for serious fitness.
The facility is great and their group classes are ok. They would not let me use the swimming pool at this location unless I paid an additional fee to the hotel!
I did 12 weeks of personal training and came out worse than I started With BMI, Fat and muscle content.
They had billing problems and scheduling problems too and their attitude is it is what it is we can’t do anything about it😳
If you are serious about fitness results you are better off finding a serious gym at a fraction of the cost.

With the exception of the few months it was closed during the Covid lockdowns; I’ve been coming to this gym virtually every day for the last 27 months. And before that another 12 months prior to a one year hiatus to Dallas (where I went daily to the Highland Park location). This is the best gym in Brickell without exception. Leaps and bounds better than the other Equinox down the street. I love this place. And if you are unfamiliar with Equinox gyms- I highly recommend you get to know them. Worth every extra penny.

I am obsessed with my Pilates instructor Jill at this EQX location. I am based in NYC but spend a few months out of the winter in Miami. Never in a million years did I expect to stumble upon the best Pilates instructor of all time! Yes, that’s right—the most amazing pilates instructor of all time. I can say with 100% confidence, that Jill will not disappoint. Jill will not only get your body right in the sense that she will correct the alignment of your body/posture/form—but she will also challenge you and push you that extra mile (so long as you’re up it!)—so no matter what you do…weight lifting,golfing, basketball, dance, or literally any other sport, Jill will help you strengthen and maintain your base. I will also note that Jill will not bore you in any session. Honestly, if I could clone Jill, and bring the clone back to NYC with me, I would. She’s that good. Just saying. 🙌🏼

We visited the gym and spa while staying at the four seasons. I had the best facial with Bianca and my skin has never looked or felt better. Her professionalism and kind demeanour were great and she talked me through the whole treatment and what it was doing to my skin. I barely ever leave reviews, especially when they are not on the positive side, but this time I felt that the service provided is not acceptable. The gym itself, equipment, and classes are very good. I love yoga classes with Steven (he is truly amazing). However, the management does not meet up to the expectations of a premium gym experience nor even a regular gym. I have been chasing the manager for last 4 days to cancel my membership and the manager never returned my calls/emails after multiple follow ups with the front desk. I understand that we are all people and may forget to call back but having to wait 4 days and following up twice a day with the front desk is unacceptable. The front desk does not always pick up the phone and is not particularly helpful.

I hope that the service can be improved and I really wish I just had a bad experience but looking at the past reviews it is clear that the management seems to be an issue....

Be ready for constant SPAM. I went for a tour but their one sales person was too busy to see me. So I left and signed up at another gym. They require you to give them your contact info and driver license before they allow you to enter the gym so now I am receiving non-stop marketing emails from their staff without any option to opt-out or honoring of my requests to stop emailing me. Unless you are 100% going to join and agree to many marketing emails, do not even step foot in here.

Be very careful when you sign up. I signed up to try it out with a clear message from the sales person that if i didn't like it I can cancel. After much back and forth I got a confirmation email on Jan 28th confirming my cancellation. Then in March they tried my credit card (which it declined) It took more than a dozen calls to the Equinox before they would return my call. They said they would take care off the cancellation. It's more than 5 weeks later and I am still having issues.

Be wary if you want to sign up they will be very helpful and nice. If you want to cancel, expect no one to return your calls, major headaches and people saying things and then not happening.

Terrible management. They have failed to reimburse fees (initiation and account freeze), according to the terms of the active promotion for when I joined. It has now been more than 2 months, with regular complaints, with no final action by club.
Just a lack of accountability and responsiveness that is unacceptable for any service, specially one that sells itself as premium.

I honestly don't understand the negative feedback this gym has been receiving. I am probably one of the first members to register, back when the gym wasn't even open, and I cannot stop saying how satisfied I am with this club.

Coming from LA Fitness, where not only just the Brickell location is disgusting, but having being around several other LA Fitness locations in Miami and all around the US, this club is the definition of sophistication.

CLEAN, it simply doesn't smell bad, and that is something to say about a gym, there is ALWAYS a maintenance staff member around cleaning something, even after a class, they are so fast and efficient that 5 minutes after a full class the rooms look good as new for the next one.

FRIENDLINESS, the staff is ALWAYS friendly and kind, all the trainers are extremely kind, and professional, whether you see them inside a class or out on the floor, the management office is always extremely helpful, they are there to make things easier, not harder. All the way to the front desk where I am always greeted with a smile, most of them even know my name, and that's saying something for a 3000+ member gym. No more checking in with people that don't even bother to look up at LA Fitness anymore, let alone look at you.

CLASSES, where to begin, the trainers are QUALIFIED, there are 20+ classes every day, there is ALWAYS a class you can go to. I am an avid Yogi and practice yoga every day, there are classes all week round, including Saturday AND Sunday, some days have up to 5 yoga classes on the schedule. Both fitness studios are AMAZING, fully equipped with everything you need from dumbbells, steps, slides on the fitness studios to blocks, mats, towels, straps on the yoga studio. Yes, you read correctly, there are TWO studios, the yoga is separate, no more walking in a yoga studio after a 50+ people Zumba class with foggy mirrors from their sweat, ew. There is also a third studio for spinning classes, which is top notch, never felt a smoother ride.

EQUIPMENT is top notch, and plenty, I see some people complained about there not being enough of them, but I haven't seen a gym in Miami with anything close to the ones we have here, I have been at this gym for over 6 months now and can count on my fingers the times I needed to share a machine.

All this is nice but I think the most important thing is that the MEMBERS are also extremely polite, everyone is willing to share equipment, and, oh my god, there is actually a place where people put their weights back when they're done, it's here. No more jackasses who hog 20+ dumbbells and leave them all scattered on the floor when they're done, no more having to search racks because the 25lb is where the 10lb should be.

As I mentioned before, Equinox Brickell Heights is the definition of sophistication and professionalism, it puts any other gym I've been to in the gutter, I rarely stop to write reviews, however I felt obligated to, given the untrue bad reviews I saw going on here. It is one of the few places in Miami where I feel like my money is being very well spent. I really do hope they manage to keep up the quality, and if what I have been seeing since the beginning until today, all they do is get better and better at it.

This review is for the management mostly. My mother received a gift card for a very expensive massage and decided to not use it right away. When she did choose to use it, she went ahead and made an appointment, showed up for her appointment and was told that the gift card was expired and there were no funds available. How can a gift card over $300 ever expire? I personally think that’s absurd. And there is no fine print anywhere on the card, envelope or brochure that says anything about it expiring. After taking it upon myself to speak to a manager and explaining that it was unfair, that my mother worked for one of the most prominent plastic surgery practices in the Four Seasons and that she sends her patients to their gym and spa, he said that he would send an email asking them to re-issue the funds. He said that I would hear from him in less than two weeks, and I didn’t. I tried to call back about three more times and ask for a manager to speak with, and every time they told me that the manager was busy, I also never received a phone call back. As much as I’d like to see what their gym and spa is all about, they’re really working in a city with full on competition and I will gladly take my business elsewhere and steer others in that direction as well. Equinox should really learn how to do proper business/customer service, and no gift card for such a large amount should ever expire. They are basically stealing money.

This gym should really be the best in Miami. But it's not the machines are limited and it just seems the help is never around. The classes however, are excellent.

The gym itself is very nice, the showers and facilities are good, but they do make you pay for parking on top of the high fees. The trainers are for the most part are okay, but I did have a problem with one trainer chasing me around and texting me on my phone, and then another one who acted very innapropriately at the brickell location, ultimately making me leave that gym. The staff protects their trainers instead of listening to the members concerns, which made me feel disrespected as a customer. I think trainers should not approach members unless you ask them to do so or you need help, and when they do that frequently it's harassment in my opinion.

By far the worse experience ever. The sales person chased me for 2 months calling me from her PERSONAL phone to convince me to join the gym as i did not had that number saved. When i did and I needed something she would never reply, when I called her back to the number she used to called me. She replied in a very rude manner saying that that was her personal phone and that i should never call her to that number again. After I made aware the management about this they did NOTHING. After, I would email the useless people with the names of friends as references so I could get the 150 for referring. After I gave her the number emails and phone numbers they would always say they did not gave me 150, because the person said someone else referred them. HUUUH. Ultimately I send and email for them to freeze my account SURPRISINGLY THEY CHARGED ME AND NEVER ANSWERED. I am traveling obviously I wont be able to go and do it my self and meanwhile they will just ignore my emails

It is a good gym, a little small but still well used. It's usually not full and the classes are amazing. Only problem is it's crazy expensive for personal training and if you want to bring a guest it's $50 per day....insane.

Love this place. Was afraid it wouldn't be the same after Equinox acquaired Sports Clud LA but everythign maintained excellence. Black Light Boxing and yoga classes there are very good.
