I’m a lifelong lifter, since the age of 13 (48 now), so that’s brought me to a lot of gyms over the years. Add to that, I travel a lot for work which gives me exposure to even more gyms. I say all of this to say, in all my years and all those gyms… Fitness Junky is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to. I’m a dual resident NY/FL and currently a member at Bev Francis (THE East Coast Mecca) in NY, and FJ still takes top billing. Just as much variety in equipment as Bev’s, all while being newer, cleaner and better maintained. And I won’t even get into the no-expense-spared expansions done by the owners… classes, saunas, brand new (pristine) lockerrooms, juice bar, in house stem-cell therapy, member appreciation days… if Bev’s is Mecca, this place is the Vatican. Always look forward to my trips back to PCB, FJ is definitely my home away from home! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The experience at this gym was disappointing. The front desk staff, especially the young woman working during my visit, came across as unfriendly and uninterested.

The “day pass” is also misleading — it only allows you to work out on Saturday between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m., and you can’t use it on Sunday at all.

Overall, the environment felt uncomfortable. Between the staff and the general atmosphere, there was an obvious sense of ego and tension that made the space unwelcoming.

The young lady at the front desk was rude both times we visited and didn’t come across as friendly at all. I wasn’t upset — I simply asked for clarification. Honestly, I didn’t even want to come back the second day because the environment felt toxic, but I had already paid for the day pass.

The gym itself is solid—good equipment, plenty of space, and everything you need for a real workout. The problem isn’t the facility; it’s the crowd it attracts. Too many members are rude, obnoxious, loud, and flat-out inconsiderate. Basic hygiene and basic respect seem optional for a lot of people here, and it shows. Fitness Junky has the potential to be one of the best gyms around, but the environment is dragged down by certain persons who don’t know how to act in a shared space. Think we all know who i am talking about.

Literally the best gym I’ve been to so far. I came to Panama for vacation and got the five day pass. This gym has pretty much one of every machine that you can think of. They have a nice cardio room that’s separate from the weight room which I love. The staff is also very polite and helpful. If I’m in the area again I’ll definitely be back at this gym.

Found this place while on vacation in Panama City Beach. I was able to get a day pass for a super reasonable price. I was impressed with the layout of the gym and access to everything I could think of needing for my workouts this week. The turf area for warming up and conditioning was a huge perk and helped me be able to keep my same routine. Staff were nice and I believe the owner(s) were even out and about and interacting. I can tell this is a very well maintained gym with good energy. Would recommend to travelers and locals. Thank you for accommodating me.

I love this gym!! I grew up in PC but recently moved to PCB so I've been trying out different gyms in the area. I love that this gym is locally owned. It is clean and has great equipment that is new and works properly. This gym has a great selection of machines and plenty of free weights, they have actual squat racks and deadlifting stations too. They truly have everything you will need, including cardio equipment and a turf area to do your own workouts. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The classes are fun and not easy at all lol, you will sweat for sure! They are beginner friendly as well. I like that they offer 5 day passes for $35, this includes classes and I thought that was awesome. I will be signing up for my membership next week! Highly recommend this gym, such a great atmosphere for both the younger and older generations.

I have worked out for over 30 years and in my travels have yet to find a gym like Fitnees Junky. From the attentive owners that are present through out the day & evenings (rear in this day and age), to their friendly & helpful staff, I can't recall a more member focus environment. I really want to give this gym 5 stars, I really do. The machines are the best I’ve ever used, the new powerlifting section has some top tier equipment, and the owners are super nice. Arguably the best gym I’ve ever been to.

I just can’t ignore the negative vibe some of the members give off. I’ve Been going to this gym for about a year and I’ve noticed that it can get pretty hostile at times. It’s a competitive atmosphere and some of these men carry very big egos. I’ve had other dudes shoulder check me because I didn’t move out the way fast enough, I’ve been looked at with the most deathly side eyes because I asked if someone was using a machine. Unwelcoming glances and stares were daily, it felt like i “wasn’t allowed” to be there. This next comment might offend some people, if your of darker skin complexion just be a bit more careful around here, I’ve always felt like I was being watched. At first I didn’t think anything of it because people watch other people at the gym, but after a year of going to this gym and living in this city, you start to understand how people feel about you. If you know you know. Nevertheless like i said the owners are decent people and this gym is always improving and has some of the best equipment I’ve ever used.

My favorite gym I have been a part of. I’ve been going here 6 months. The atmosphere makes me want to work hard. The gym is continually adding new equipment and expanding. I love the posing rooms to take pics after a good lift. I don’t necessarily like that the locker rooms are co-ed, but this is easily resolved by going the posing/dressing rooms or the bathrooms.

Unless you sign a membership don’t go here. Paid for a week pass and got screwed , been going to gyms for over 20 years and NEVER have I been told you have to leave when staff leaves if you’re already in the gym. Owner refused to refund the remainder of my pass back, stated I signed a paper stating I knew I couldn’t be in the gym after 12 on Saturday. Horrible customer service!! I've been in the area on and off for around 12 years total and have been to basically every gym on the beach. Fitness Junky is by far and away the best gym. At $50 a month or $480 for a year, it's the best value barring mass-market commercial gyms, and if you're like me those gyms aren't an option.

It's always very clean, has a wide variety of equipment, ample stations for compound lifts, and is open 24 hours, and the staff has always been very kind. Couldn't ask for more.

I travel all over the country working in the nutritional supplement field and get the pleasure of visiting some amazing gyms in the meantime. I stopped working out for a year and a half because of the covid-19 outbreak. When I moved to Panama City looking for fitness this was the best I'd ever seen and I didn't like commercial gyms where everyone worked out so well and the atmosphere made me focus on fitness

I was in the area for the week, and didn’t think until the last day to look for gyms near by. (I used the one our condo had.) The staff were very welcoming and informative if you had any questions, which is always great! There was a variety of equipment and different rooms to cater to your workout needs! I wish I would have found this place the first day I arrived. Will definitely return when on vacation again!!

I recently joined this gym after many years at another local fitness center. Hands down, this is the best gym I've ever been a member of. State of the art equipment, clean, and fellow members are all courteous and respectful. Everyone there is focused on self improvement and the atmosphere is electric. Highly recommend.

By far, this is one the best gyms I have ever visited! I am in town for work and found this amazing facility. Affordable, friendly staff, awesome layout and equipment-literally everything you need for lifting and mobility training (love the focus on weights, rather than cardio), and a wonderful atmosphere- serious lifters, respectful, and no arrogance. I am truly going to miss this place!

Found this gem of a gym while in Panama city for vacation. Great prices for day passes, paid $25 for 5 days which is more than reasonable. Their gym is fully equipped with all the cardio and workout equipment you'd ever need! 10/10 would recommend to those traveling on vacation and need a place to lift for a few days.

Seems overpriced. The equipment is fine but dated, but that doesn't bother me. What bothered me was the horrible cigarette odor. Its like a sports bar inside. I hope that was a one time issue because the smell was unacceptable.

UPDATE: I went today and the smell was much better although my sister was there yesterday and said it still smelled of cigarettes. If I were the owner I'd just watch for people smoking in the building when its not supervised.

2nd UPDATE: they did a pretty big renovation and replaced the floors and must have removed old insulation that smelled bad. It doesn't smell any more.
