I love Happy Kiss Pole Dance! The instructors are encouraging without being over the top, and the classes challenge me in ways I didn’t expect. I’m doing things I honestly never thought I could do, and it’s been great to see real progress in my strength and confidence. I booked the beginners immersion experience as I have never done any pole dancing previously. I went in excited but also nervous and intimidated by doing something new. By the time I left, I no longer felt nervous or intimidated, but excited and ready to learn more! Johanna was my instructor and I cannot say enough good things about her. She made everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. She answered any questions that we had, and took her time to show us each move to we really understood. I will definitely be going back for other classes. It really is a blast!! If you’re on the fence about booking a class… just do it!! You won’t regret it.

Happy Kiss has been a wonderful oasis as a beginner looking to get into pole fitness and explore a mindful yet unique practice. I took a few classes in the past, and found HK upon moving to Gainesville. As many do, I started with their immersion series and while the tricks were familiar, I appreciated the intentionality that HK brought I dance and the practice as a whole. I continued with their classes on a drop-in basis and found myself going about once a week.

I was fortunate enough to purchase a wonderful class package from Happy Kiss to continue my journey with dance- however within a few weeks of purchasing I found out I had a medical complication that would no longer allow me to pole dance. Johanna was extremely thoughtful and kind in working with me to find a solution moving forward- proving nothing short of the compassionate and intentional community care that Happy Kiss has come to represent.

If you are looking for a third place to explore pole dance, that is home to heartfelt instructors who help you learn and take your unique situations in mind (bad wrists, aches knees, whatever it may be)- this is the place for you. I always felt comfortable, cozy and at home at HK- and I hope anyone who is looking to explore this exciting form of fitness will give it a try. I hope to someday return to dance, and at that time- I know that I’ll return to HK with open arms.

This practice is hard, but I can assure you, it is so worth it!

Happy Kiss is a pole dance studio, which also offers floorwork, flexibility and some specialty workshops. It's a pretty space with two rooms, and a decent amount of parking in front and back.
So far I've taken workshops with Nathan and Marina, who were both excellent. Marina is a thorough and encouraging teacher. Nathan really paved the way for me to get into floorwork and shoulder rolls.

I’ve taken classes with almost every instructor here, they all are wonderful, have fantastic energy, and break the instructions down in such a helpful clear way. I love coming to the studio, it’s such a nice way to end the day! Highly recommend if you want a good core workout and to gain confidence! Such a great environment ❤️

incredibly grateful for this beautiful space and community. i had the privilege of joining the studio when it first opened 7 years ago and its been beautiful see how much it's grown and matured.

their monthly choreography and levels classes give you the opportunity to practice and grow, safely. i'm prone to injury and it's easy to over do it in pole. the teachers and class structure offer guidance in ways that are pretty sustainable for your body if you take care/listen to yourself. really grateful for all the steady growth i'm seeing in my practice after coming back a year ago. thank you happy kiss <3

Johanna is such a fun, goofy, and inspiring instructor - she goes above and beyond to make her students feel welcome! I've always wanted to try pole, and she made it easy for me to get center in my body and enjoy the movements rather than worrying about judgement or body dysmorphia. 10/10 can not recommend HK enough. From the first time setting foot in the studio I knew their goals to be a haven for everyone to find their voice and love themselves would be met. This place is so welcoming and fun! I had a great first day of my intro class program. The instructor was so nice. Most places claim to be non judgmental, but Happy Kiss really is non judgmental. It’s in their policies and in practice. I felt comfortable and I wasn’t concerned about how I looked while dancing. Not to mention, just from the basics, you get a good low impact and strength training workout without realizing it!!! I highly recommend this studio to any looking to find a fun unique to get healthy or just to have fun!!!

I took classes here for about two years. The instructors were very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. They always fostered a fun, safe, and inclusive atmosphere. The classes are extremely well organized and I found myself learning something new every day no matter what the class was. Everyone who works there is very sweet and passionate about what they do. The studio offers a variety of classes for all levels of experience. The choreography classes were always fun to attend and the instructors always made sure to tailor the choreography to all skill levels. The location itself offers everthing that is needed for a good training and is clean. The atmosphere that is created by the pole community (owner, instructors, students) is welcoming and liberating.
