Looking for the finest in traditional martial arts training? Hialeah School of Self Defense is a karate school specializing in Ed Parker's American Kenpo. We believe in encouraging our students to use the skills learned at our school, such as listening, respect, concentration, honor, courage, and sportsmanship, to excel in school, excel in martial arts, and to become a success in everyday challenges.
Our karate school has produced a number of young athletes who have achieved recognition in numerous state and national championships, and for good reason too! Our karate school not only abides by strict ethical codes of conduct, but focuses on a balanced, physical workout to build a strong body and mind!

Mr. Reyes is an amazing instructor and teacher. He takes his time with his students, he explains and shows you what you're doing, why you're doing it and how it has evolved over time. The technique, the philosophy and the method Mr. Reyes offers gives the student a complete knowledge of a formidable, living single discipline martial art. His knowledge and experience are invaluable. I have the greatest respect for Mr. Reyes and everyone at the school.

My son started here 2 weeks ago. He lives it. I would never go anywhere else. Quality instructors. My cousin even went here in the early 90s at their old dojo before being forced to move. Amazing atmosphere.

I thought I found the perfect place where the place wasn't interested in my money so they say they get after school vouches I came to a month later how they weren't accepting it mr Reyes gave me a blame excuse there I don't want say much their money hungry company I don't care how long you bee into business he didn't like the face I didn't had to pay for spring break classes when I had the vouches for it I won't ever take him back !!!
