I found this studio as a referral from my acupuncturist and I am so glad that he thought to mention it! I had a shoulder injury a number of months ago and these hot yoga classes have been instrumental in my recovery protocolβin addition to being super fun and cathartic in the best way!
I haven't gotten to attend classes with all the teachers but so far Dawn, Bernard, Evan, Kennedy and Madison have all been amazing!
If you're at all interested in yoga and maybe tried some slower yoga and it wasn't for you, I would highly recommend the hot yoga here (as well as the yin class on Sundays for flexibility)!

Update: I have since been twice using class pass. I went for a breath works class which was enjoyable except for a guy trying to talk to me the whole time before he left. I again left my second class that I attempted for yoga here as it was the exact same thing and I believe the owner was actually doing the class who is not doing the poses. Nobody in the classroom was doing the same pose. Itβs definitely not a beginners class. Itβs not beginner friendly. They also held yoga in the park a friend invited me (unaware who was hosting it)but they should call it power yoga in the park, which was the same, not beginner friendly. I injured my ankle because I was on uneven ground. Itβs frustrating when the instructor at yoga in the park, even made comments that came off as snarky, and looking down on people who were not able to keep up with instruction, which by the way was about 85% of the people there. the whole point of yoga is concentrating on breathing . I donβt consider this true yoga as there is no concentration on breath. I consider this more an aerobic workout using yoga poses, and at yoga in the park they even used non-yoga practices. You didnβt stay in poses long enough to be able to breathe properly when doing yoga.
Do not go unless you are advanced and a pose can be named off and you immediately can get to it. I read class description and thought I was going to have an experience similar to my past classes at other businesses . I have never been more wrong. I left the class early after the instructor laughed saying it's funny people think they can do everything the first class but told me to watch others to learn poses but everyone was doing their own thing because they are advanced so you have zero references to what you should be doing. The pace of the class was so fast that I just became frustrated and had a panic attack. I told the instructor I didn't know poses( which I do but not enough to run through them in 10 seconds not back to back) and he said just watch everyone else. I left so upset defeating the whole purpose of the class and a complete waste of money for the month. I am not sure how that was suppose to be relaxing. There was zero warm up or just immediately change position rapidly with voice instruction on what poses to do but that doesn't help if you don't know poses. So the rest of my day will be recovering from the stress my yoga class created. The class description was way off.

A friend suggested I go and I was super excited. There was an accident two minutes up the road and so I ended up being four minutes late. When I got to the studio, they had locked the doors. So don't waste your time coming here, it's just a waste of time, gas, and energy.

I started my yoga journey just a few months ago. Initially I was hesitant to start: Iβm over 50, out of shape and was concerned about keeping up with others. The hardest part was making the decision to try. I am so glad I did! Within one week I had no sciatic nerve pain and I have consistently seen progress every week! Everyone is encouraging and loving! So FUN!!!

Purchased a 10 class package, was explicitly told that the classes do not expire. When calling to book a class, I was informed by the owner that they decided to "start expiring unused packages". The studio sent no notification of this decision. I was then informed that I could buy more classes and get by 4 refunded after another purchase. This just doesn't feel right, and Im a little shocked.

Hot spot yoga is the absolute best! Whether you are new or, a well experienced yogi, i can guarantee a great workout. Iβve dedicated my time to combat sports so having a good stretch 2/3 times a week is amazing. The best instructors are Dawn, Bernard Sugar, and Bobbi, respectively. If you stay consistent your body will thank you for it!

This place and these people, in such a short amount of time, have become my safe place.
Iβve lost 10 lbs in the first 30 days of going 3-4x a week than I did going 100 classes in Pilates. I have become stronger, more balanced, at peace, flexible, and tone.
This studio has changed my life and itβs all due to the amazing men and women in the tribe.

Such a lovely studio with a great atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable staff. I went here for around 5 months and loved every second of it!
My only criticism is that a padded floor, rather than the hardwood flooring, might be a better fit for the studio. When I was going to Hot Spot I developed significant knee/joint pain and figured it had to be something I was doing wrong during practice. However, the studio I currently go to has padded flooring and now I have ZERO joint pain. I'm thinking it must have been from the hardwood floors at Hot Spot. Otherwise a wonderful studio!

Everyone at this studio was exceptionally nice and welcoming, but the quality of the yoga left something to be desired. It seemed like the pace of the movements was far too fast to be matched to breath and the transitions between poses were somewhat disjointed. We attended 3 classes over 3 days and did a lot of high speed vinyasa, chair, and mountain poses. I felt unbalanced and less zen after these classes compared to other studios weβve been to.
Nice people who could work on the flow of class and matching breath to movement and control.

As a guy who was new and a little skeptical to yoga I tried a few different places to feel it out. Out of all in the Jacksonville area I've had my best experience with the San Marco Hot Spot studio.
I never felt rushed or like I didn't belong and all the instructors are literally the best. I especially love Ilsa's hour 5:30 class on Fridays for an end of week reset. Her Sunday 75 min class is great if you like a little more intensity. She does a fantastic job and I recommend her to anyone new or experienced alike!

Was seeking out a gift certificate for a motherβs dys gift for a first time yogi experience and I was very shocked at how they donβt answer nor return phone calls or voicemails. The one time they did answer the phone I was greeted with an estranged βHello?β As if the guy didnβt know why I was calling, forgot that he was answering for a business and confused at why the calls were being transferred to his line as opposed to anyone else. Do yourself a favor and go to the beach on a weekday if youβre looking for a peaceful and positive experience...after all its free.

Expensive. They charge for everything. The place is severely limited in space to the point that you have to modify your poses so you don't bump your head into your neighbor's rear end. When I made the comment about it being uncomfortable having my face inches from someone else's rear end, the teacher made a dismissive comment about using the situation as an opportunity to make a new friend. Not much focus on anything but the physical in the class.

This is where I first began practicing and they helped me with patience and non-judgment so I really felt comfortable. As I continued my practice they offered poses and modifications to help me grow and truly flourish into the yogi I've become today! Hotspot Power Yoga provides a great place to get your mind and body right. The heated room is fantastic and I cannot imagine doing yoga without the warmth. The studio is sometimes a little crowded, owing to the success of the business and popularity of the instructors.
