I have been taking classes at the St Pete location consistently for a few months now and have nothing negative to say about this studio or the instructors. I began with two months of the Beginner Series, where I learned foundational moves and built my strength, and now I have a membership that I use for both classes and open studio time. I love the focus on self love and movement from the heart, and always leave class feeling inspired and more confident. I have come to class on some hard or emotional days and have left feeling like that was the best therapy (it is). Consistent attendance has yielded amazing results for my physical performance and mental well-being, and I have no plans to stop any time soon! The instructors each have their own style and teach a wide variety of skills, and their class drop in structure allows for me to customize my workout plan to fit my life each week and to reach my long term goals in this sport.
The onlyyyy thing I would add to the suggestion box is: more weekday AM classes in St. Pete please!

I can’t say enough amazing things about this pole dancing studio! From the moment I walked in as a complete beginner I felt welcomed, supported and inspired. The instructors are not only incredibly skilled but also deeply passionate about helping watch student grow at their own pace.

Our group had such a fun time at our private pole party this past weekend! Impulse Studios was easy to book, very professional over phone/text/email, and the St. Pete location we visited was clean and stylish. Our instructor was Anne - she was fun and made us feel comfortable from the second we stepped in. You can really tell she loves what she does! I've been a student with impulse for nearly a year. Instructors are fantastic and foster an environment where everyone (even fellow students!) celebrate every fitness milestone and every trick learned. Impulse creates a space that raises your self confidence-- reminding you to celebrate your hard earned victories and forgive yourself when you learn slower than you expect. When I started, I didn't realize this journey would benefit me mentally and emotionally as equally as it does physically. Popped over to St Pete over the weekend for a Showgirly Sweat Cardio Dance pop up and had a GREAT time! The choreography was simple and easy to pick up, while also allowing for our individual styles to shine through in getting our movement on. Impulse is a very welcoming studio. The instructors are always very nice and meet you where you’re at—whether you’re completely new or you’ve taken classes before. Their four week course is a very nice intro to pole!

Sometimes it’s hard to hear the instructor over the music; so maybe turning down the volume or having some sort of mic set up would be good. While I do enjoy the classes, it depends on the instructor whether they break down each move. This can be intimidating sometimes, having to ask the class to stop to try to go over a specific part. I think it would be beneficial to go through each move, showing the class how to do it and pointing out which muscles should be engaged.

I tried a 4-week beginner course with zero experience and loved it so much, I re-took the course again! My first impression was the welcoming environment - ladies of different ages, sizes, and
fitness levels. The instructors (I had 2 different ones for each course) did a great job breaking down all the moves while providing easier and harder options for those that wanted them. My second impression was what a great workout pole fitness is! The warmup is a combination of slow stretches and simple moves and yet I would break a sweat at the end of it. I loved feeling slightly sore the next day.
Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this place, I plan on doing more drop-in classes and have definitely found a new hobby I thoroughly enjoy.

I took a drop in Valentines Day class at Impulse to get out of my comfort zone. This place is incredible. Last month I finished a beginners course with AJ, and it was the highlight of week. Not only is she very knowledgeable on technique, but she has such an infectious personality and is everyone’s biggest cheerleader during class. I loved it so much that I actually just signed up for another beginner course with her! Highly recommend!

I just finished a drop by class … spinning pole and I have to say these girls were not just talented but encouraging, kind, and hard working at doing this right! I highly recommend trying out a class and who knows… you may find a new found talent in yourself if nothing else… meet amazing girls who want you to believe in yourself. It was the best ever. We had a bachelorette party and they were able to accommodate us on really short notice. It was all of our first time and definitely the highlight of the night. They are still talking about how great it was. Kim was our instructor and she was simply amazing. She made sure we were all warmed up properly and allowed us to test our skills. The bride had so much fun and is already planning her next time. I definitely recommend.

I have taken 6 classes here. My instructors have been AJ, Kim and Colleen and all three have been great and so have the classes. They have been both fun and challenging. Pole dancers make this stuff look easy, but it’s not - it works muscles you never use, puts you in shapes you’ve never been in and it’s been really helpful combating whatever sitting like a gargoyle all day does to my body.

A very welcoming environment. Instructors take time to personally work with each student. I didnt join to become a professional pole dancer but to just learn body strengthening and muscle toning and because its seems fun and something Ive always wanted to try. Theres a variety of adult age groups from young adult ladies to seasoned women, as well as a variety of dance themes; I love this place. I havent trained with all of the instructors yet but Sarah, Jessica, and AJ are so cool; theyre patient, friendly, caring and definitely professional. And all cost and rates are very affordable and more than reasonably priced. Thank you Ladies for just being you.

I have tried all the pole studios in St.Pete and a couple in Tampa but Impulse, in my opinion is the best. The instructors are so encouraging, very thorough, helpful and so kind to every student. The studio itself is the best. Poles are spaced out, you can see yourself in the mirror clearly, music is great and the lights are fun! Other pole places sometimes make you share a pole with other students or there is no mirror for you to watch yourself. Impulse offers classes for all types, which I very much appreciate. My only wish is that they brought the twerk class back, but I’m always checking the schedule for new classes. If it’s your first time, id recommend you take the beginner class. I have not see any other studio offer beginner classes.

This was the first time I’ve taken Russian exotic as a class, and my first time to this particular studio. The instruction was excellent. She was very thorough and explained the moves well. She also was able to provide variations to accommodate people’s current levels and abilities. I definitely recommend and will be returning next time I’m in town!

I found Impulse on the Brandon side first and fell in love with pole dancing. I work nights and the st Pete location offered weekday day time
Classes. The journey across the bridge isn’t even that bad. Jessa, the pole instructor at Impulse who teaches most weekday morning classes picks the perfect time, you are not in rush hour traffic. This new location is still in a safe area with easy to find parking. The inside is finished beautifully with the safest tallest poles. And the pole room has floor to ceiling mirrors. All of the instructors are great and bring their own flavor and attitude to the classroom And the pole experience.

AJ lets you fly with guidance and confidence to find your inner strength and beauty. Jessa keeps you motivated through the whole class. Her tips and tricks really help to get that much more out of the move, always helpful! Jessica C, is amazing 😉 her ability to get you to move around the pole is incredible! She just gets the pole and helps to translate it to the rest of us in understandable ways. The twerk queen, helps me release my inner and outer jiggle and makes everyone comfortable to move and be sexy in their own body! Sarah, my pole mama, will always hold a special place in my heart! She’s my bowl of porridge, comfy chair, and warm bed all rolled into one. Everything about her teaching style is just right!

Impulse pole studio is the whole package. A family, support system, energy release, and energizing force. If you’ve been waiting to try it, give into to the Impulse lol, after one class you might surprise yourself. I signed up for the 5 week beginner course and absolutely adored every week of it. The instructors were super patient with my inexperience and I learned so much. By the end of the course I had a decent amount of knowledge, a lot more confidence, and I had pushed some of my own physical boundaries. Very amazing studio and crew, highly highly recommend!
