I have had the pleasure of working with Jim for the last few months. I’m 29 and hadn’t lifted much since college. (football) The last few years working a desk job, and not eating right, resulted in some unwanted pounds. I considered working with a trainer at a mainstream gym, but couldn’t wrap my head around spending the money on some kid with an online certification. With my background and experience, I consider myself an “advanced” lifter, and needed someone like Jim, with 30 plus years experience. Someone who knows his stuff.
Jim is an excellent coach and I can’t give him a higher recommendation. Jim’s positivity, experience, and strong work
ethic, had me excited to wake up at 4:30 am 3 days a week. Jim does a great job of coaching, hands on spotting, & positive reinforcement throughout the work out.
The equipment is in the gym is fantastic, and meticulously taken care of. The gym is spotless to the point that I do not even hesitate to do ground exercises when Jim directs. The bathroom have got to be the cleanest bathrooms in any gym I’ve ever been to.
Jim has helped me get my confidence back. I haven’t been in the gym at any consistency in 5+ years and it’s hard to go back and start over when at one point you were able to do 200lbs+ on any exercise. With Jim’s program, designed specifically for me, I have seen steady improvements week over week and have achieved great results. Muscle gained and fat loss of several inches already.
Overall, I really enjoyed working with Jim and can say that not only do I have a great trainer but have also made a friend. I recommend Jim to anyone looking for help with program design, nutrition, building confidence, or even just someone to coach you and hold you accountable. Thanks Jim! You’re the man!

I hurt my shoulder surfing and and was essentially out of the water for over 5 months. It wasn't getting better on its own so I know I needed to seek some professional rehab. Jim's name was given to me and even after the first session, my shoulder was noticeably better. More range of motion and less pain. I was leaving on a surf trip a few weeks after my first visit with Jim, so he had his work cut out for him to get me up and running on a short time frame. With the help of his expert level Graston technique along with strength training/stretching, he was able to get me back up and running and during the surf trip, I experienced no pain and was able to paddle at full speed. I’m glad I found the Inflicting Fitness Training Center and my experience training with Jim has been great! Being new to the strength training, it was important for me to learn the proper form and technique as my goal was to be able to work out on my own. Jim created a workout routine for me, taught me how to do each group of exercises, answered my questions during training and made sure I was doing each exercise properly. It was also very helpful to have my exercises recorded so that they can be used as reference points for my solo workout. I’ve trained with Jim for around a year, and the transformation I experienced has been remarkable. Jim’s expertise in strength training has helped me build muscle safely (No Injuries) and I have become significantly stronger. First of all, thank you so very much for all you’ve done! Before finding Mr. Kaale For years I made the rounds in various PT offices. Since being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy as a child, I found it difficult to figure out exactly what my body needed. At my first session with Mr. Kaale, it was clear he knew what he was doing. In under a year I gained significant knowledge about diet, muscle function, the importance of failure, and proper form. He was incredibly detailed in every explanation and gracious in answering any questions I had. Jim is a very knowledgeable and meticulous trainer. I came in not being very confident when it came to strength training. He took the time to demonstrate and critique my form to make sure I was targeting the desired muscles. He began each session with stretching and was always made sure to gradually increase the intensity of the work out to avoid injury and work on my specific goal. As I trained he was careful to notice what my body was doing and recognized weaknesses. To help correct it he removed scar tissue from my shoulder with the graston technique. He is a wealth of information and was able to give advice on many issues and questions. He created a comfortable and friendly environment which allowed me to feel at ease as we trained. I was referred to Jim Kaale by a friend after expressing injury issues I was trying to train around.

In the past, I would quit as soon as something hurt, or an old injury made me feel I couldn’t keep going. Working with Jim has been a game changer. He preps me mentally and physically for each workout, including stretching, and graston, (scar tissue removal) & he’s really good at it….

Over the course of a few months, he cleaned up all the scar tissue in my neck and shoulders, which allowed me to begin to train my entire body, pain free again. He ensures I go to failure without cheating and holds me accountable for my efforts in the gym, kitchen, cardio wise, and is constantly filling my cup with priceless tips while keeping my mind focused on my goals.

Jim is great! I went to him before my wedding to lose weight so I could feel good in my wedding dress. He is very motivating and knowledgable. While training, he talks about what to and what not to eat over the course of the next few days, and goes over what you ate the past few days to where you can understand why certain things are good or bad to be putting in to your body. Jim Kaale has literally changed my life for the better. His personal and caring approach encouraged me to improve my health and diet in ways I would never have been able to do on my own. After 3 years battling a medical condition, that prevented me from doing much exercise, Jim mentored me on a daily basis until I had lost a significant amount of weight and became much stronger. This gym is the best place for injury rehab - and I know because I broke my ankle in 5 places and needed a quick way to get back "on my feet" literally. I was not allowed any weight bearing for 3 months and I was anxious to get moving again. Jim (the owner) got me off my crutches in just a few visits! In fact, Jim had to remind me to take my crutches with me one day because I could walk without them! I'm so thankful I saw "injury rehab" on the door and took a chance. The gym is so clean and Jim became a great friend over the strengthening process. He honestly made it fun and a whole lot easier for me especially being in my late 40s. Jim is the owner and also maintains his own clients as well as other trainers in the gym. As my trainer, found Jim impressive in knowledge and ability to teach. Unlike so many trainers, Jim actually listens and takes time to understand client personal needs. He covers all the high points of nutrition, form, recovery, etc.

I recommend Jim because he is personable, professional, and has true experience from years of fitness training with clients and also show/competition.

There is an old saying that "those that can't teach", Jim is the exception as he does as great as he teaches! Jim is not a couch coach, he cycles every weekend, power lifts, and keeps up with his diet just as much as he trains his clients to perform.

I had knee replacement surgery, and went to Jim Kaale for my rehab.
I am not going to say it was fun, but rehab never is.

Jim knows what he is doing and spends 100% of the hour session treating and working with me.

I have been to other rehab centers before, and I was passed around like a football.
Left alone for half my session, and didn't make progress like I did working with Jim.

I can't give him, and his facility, a stronger recommendation.
