We signed up for a 3 day private school in mid October. Our group had 3 golfers....73 yr old, 18 hndcp...need - loss of distance, accuracy inside of 75 yds. 48 yr old - 14 hndcp...need - direction control off tee, course mgm't, pitching and chipping. 50 yr old - 6 hndcp...need...short game, putting, course mgm't.

The school location was the Biltmore, Corral Gables, FL. A fantastic location....good facility, decent golf course and the hotel is a real treat.

The program was delivered between 8AM and noon for three days. The second day included a 9 hole on-course playing session with coaching on course management and shot selection. We covered all critical areas of the game over the three days.

Our instructor was Grayson Zacker, Director of Instruction and Taeyoon Lee as Assistant. We chose Grayson because we believed that having the person responsible for the school's training program would be the best choice to deliver a full experience. We were correct! Grayson delivered a program that exceeded our expectations. Having Taeyoon was an unexpected bonus. He allowed us to receive even more personal attention as we worked on our game. And, oh yeah, both are exceptional golfers as well.

The McLean school has all of the tech you would expect a high end program to have but golf schools depend almost entirely on the quality of the instructors and their ability to connect with the student in a positive and productive manner. Grayson has an easy, clear and professional approach. He takes your questions and needs seriously and will make the time to cover a topic to your satisfaction. He takes a fairly complex subject....the golf swing.... and makes it easy to understand. Golf can be fun....who knew?😊

Grayson diagnosed each of our swings in a clear concise way which revealed the elements that were undermining our success and then introduced the fixes that gave us immediate improvement. He didn't try to throw out our swings and start from scratch. Rather, he identified the parts that were working and built from there. His input ranged from fine tuning for our 6 handicapper's swing to introducing significant adjustments to our 18 to cure the workarounds he's been using to make good contact.

By the end of the program, we all were better able to self-diagnose the outcomes of our shots and we had what we needed to play consistent golf and drive our scores lower....if we followed the instruction.

He emphasized the need to embed our improved swings through practice but I also walked away with numerous tips, especially on chipping, pitching and sand shots that have given me an instant 8 stroke improvement!! (I'm the 18 handicapper.)

This program is well worth the time and investment. Strongly recommend the school and Grayson.

I came to Dave Regan III as a 12, having left golf 20 years earlier as an 8. Doubted I could ever recover my prior form. After 1 1/2 years with Dave, down to 5.4 as my low. All aspects of my game have improved. Dave methodically rebuilt my full swing for improved consistency using video and on-course lessons. Learned a number of new pitch and chip shots, and simplified my putting stroke and improved green reading. Now looking for a few more strokes to eliminate. Great teacher and a great guy. Highly recommended.

Update 2023: now down to 3.9. Worked to eliminate over the top, and come inside from the slot. Dave has knocked out 8 strokes and golf is a heck of a lot more fun now.

McClean school is rich in talent. Learned tempo from Elisa Surremia and AimPoint from Jon McClean. Both are ex pros.

Update 2025: sidelined by injuries for roughly 1.5 years, but was able to continue working with Dave on better ball striking, especially a better left hand release through impact. Distance has improved as a result. After wathcing handicap balloon back to 10, now back at 5. Starting to post low numbers again with multiple birdies per round. Chipping and pitching have deteriorated but working with school to improve that.
Optimistic that I can set new lows working with Dave Regan III on all aspects of the game.

World class instruction. I did the Three Day Golf School with my father. Our Instructor was Glen Farnsworth and we learned so much from him. The school's technology is state of art and really allows a deep understanding of the metrics within your individual golf game. Kevin Boutier was the perfect instructor! I’ve played for a few years (but am still a novice) and my wife has never picked up a club. After an hour lesson, Kevin was able to help correct a few issues with my swing and taught my wife the basics of swinging a golf club.

We attended a two-day golf school with Brando last Fall 2023 in Miami.His teaching style is exceptional as he helped me a 50 year old golfer and also my teenage daughter. Been taking lessons for 20 years and Brando accomplished more with me in two days than 20 years’ worth of lessons. Returned to see him a few months’ later for follow up work and lessons. We continued our improvement plan today as if I’ve been working with him for years. After two hours, he had me hitting the ball the best I’ve been hitting in my life. Brando has such attention to detail and works with a person’s individualized swing issues. I’m a big fan. Helped my teenage daughter again too. Can’t wait to take what I e learned to the course. We recently took part in a Father’s Day Clinic, where my boys and I had the chance to enjoy the McLean facilities and receive some much-needed instruction to sharpen our golf skills. I participated in the 2-day Winter School. I have taken a good amount of lessons in my life, but a lot of times they feel like putting bandaids on mechanical issues with my swing (ie altering ball position, going for certain feels, etc.). I was lucky enough to have Julio Nutt and Alex Fernandez as my instructors, and cannot say enough good things about them. We began with videoing swings and seeing where the current state of my game is. From there we worked on what was fundamentally wrong with my swing (it was a lot): grip, takeaway, setup... and that was just the beginning. We worked on other issues I had, compressing the ball, chipping, bunker shots, putting mechanical issues.. etc. The best part about all of this is being able to write it down in a note book, but all of the lessons were uploaded via an app called Onform, so I can go back at any time and review these lessons.

Again couldn't say more positive things about the school. Go in ready to learn and be prepared to practice the lessons you took away from it and you can transform your game.

April lessons with Julio Nutt were terrific. I spent 4 hours with Julio over two days. He takes great care in understanding your individual needs and offers strong coaching on how to improve your game. While it will take some work to onboard his advice on my iron play, he helped me straighten out my drives and add some thirty yards of driving length. We also worked on chipping/short game. I’d highly recommend Julio to anyone searching for strong individual assessment and improvement opportunities.

I went to JMGS with my wife and another friend. While we all had received lessons in the past, never anything as intensive as a 3 day program.

the school was FANTASTIC! Our four instructors: Dave, Julio, Patricia and Kevin. All were thoughtful, patient and engaged. We all felt the personalized attention that we required.

Having never played off before, I was nervous I wasn’t even going to hit the ball however I was definitely hitting them; and hitting them well and long. I had a one-hour lesson with Shawn to examine my swing to uncover why some of my shots were inconsistent (some pulls, some flare-outs to the right). I'm a 2 handicap but sometimes its important to get an expert to look at my golf swing. Shawn was patient, we hit some balls outside on the range and then in the "camara room" where we compared my swing to Tiger's. He identified that my head was moving towards the target during the downswing. Then he gave me some drills and pointers to use on the range and while playing and they worked immediately. I did the 3 day Jim McLean golf school. The instruction was great! Very thorough and complete with great instructors. They give you a great notepad with tabs for swing analysis, driving, chipping, bunkers, etc with preprinted instruction as well as room for all the notes that you take during the school. Very helpful, as there is a lot of information that you will want to refer back to after the camp. I also loved the 3 day format as it gives you time to build up a complete stroke through swing analysis and drills rather than a 1 hour lesson that just seems to tinker with small things in your swing. My wife and I really had a great time and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their game.

I've had several lessons with golf instructor Mike Myles- and learn so much every time. Mike has an uncanny way of watching me for a few minutes, quickly diagnosing what my "swing challenges" are and providing concise, visual advice on how to fix it. What I especially like about Mike's teaching style is that he does NOT try to cram your brain with multiple, generic swing thoughts (like you find in so many YouTube videos). Instead, Mike provides an easy to follow way to "feel" your way back to a proper swing. By the second day after my most recent lesson, I had pretty much eliminated the main issue I had been dealing with for months. I am always amazed at how quickly I can see improvement in my results- and I truly believe it is because Mike provides specific advice that is easy to follow. I highly recommend him!

Mike Myles has been an amazing instructor. He has taken me from an adult beginner to someone who is very close to breaking 80. My husband and I had a great time at the 3 day golf school! I can’t say enough about the format, instruction, and setting for the program. Glen, our amazing instructor, was so helpful and knowledgeable at each step of the school.
