The inside gym might be decent in terms of the facility itself, but the way it’s managed is completely unacceptable. The biggest problem is that the schedule changes constantly — every time we show up, the time has been switched again with no notice or explanation. It’s frustrating and unfair, especially for teens who never get a real chance to play, participate, or even just feel welcome. They’re constantly overlooked, and it’s clear there’s a serious lack of respect for kids and their time. On top of that, the staff are often rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Instead of creating a supportive environment, they treat kids like they’re a burden. The people running this place can’t seem to make up their minds, and the inconsistent scheduling and poor attitude from the staff send a clear message: children and teens aren’t a priority here. That needs to change — fast.

The workout area of the gym has seen better days. The equipment doesn't function too well. Staff don't seem to work to keep up putting the weights away, clean the benches and equipment. It's too bad. A few years ago, it was in better condition. And unfortunately, other neighborhood gyms run by Miami Dade are much better than this one. Take a tour before paying for membership (which, even with rundown equipment is inexpensive).

So I've lived here for years since 2008. The gym membership used to be 100 dollars and at that time it was more accessible. They rent the gym out to other communities for example police officers nurses and there is no access. The issue with that is they should be offering less memberships. It has always been 3 dollars to go into the gym. However it is now 150 to buy membership and you can not go to the gym you paid for. I feel robbed, I've been to the gym 15 times and probably had access 5. I definitely should just pay my 3 dollars. Like the gym stays at 3 dollars but the membership went up make it make sense

It’s unfortunate that I can’t give a negative 5, but honestly this park is a no no. Staff isn’t friendly either, they are very rude and lie about closing time. Park stinks also, I wonder why. Streets aren’t safe also, and there’s a lot of trash, I wonder why also.

Terrible service!!! Kai won’t let me in getting there at 9 pm saying it’s closed on a Friday !!!! I have a year gym membership and it was never closed at 9 it was always closing at 10 pm! He said he personally cleaned everything and didn’t want me to go in the dance room! I will cancel my membership

I'm not a resident from the area, but the people are very nice. The place looks clean and spacious. The outdoor basketball court is under the bridges. It's well shaded. I actually had fun playing basketball indoors. The floor is well kept that my Kyrie's flytrap had a great grip; allowed me to explode for maximum speed. AC is top notch-- I barely lost any stamina while playing hard in the court.

The weight room is at the 1st floor, indoor basketball at the 2nd. That's cool to me.

Day pass is $3 for residents, $7 for non residents. You can even borrow their ball in exchange for your i.d.

Parking is free outside.

It's a good basic gym. You're not going to have all the machines of a large gym but if you know a few exercises with dumbells and barbells and like the treadmill, ellipticals and stationary bike, it's more than enough. Plus you have basketball courts and fitness area where you can play your favorite HIIT routine on the second floor. If you are a city of Miami resident, the price cant be beat.

This place earns 5 stars for the very good and cheap yearly subscription. Around 100 USD per YEAR. Yes per year for the gym/ workout and bodybuilding access. They have the basics, NOTHING FANCY. I repeat nothing fancy. If you are looking to show off this is not the place for you. The facility includes (maybe they have more activities and provide more options I dunno)

Ayer sabado 24 de septiembre alrededor de las 6:00 pm fui objeto de bullying junto a mi esposa y mi hijo de doce anos por unos jovenes en las canchas de basketball de afuera pero dentro del area perimetral del edificio. Para mi sorpresa ambos empleados de recepcion de esa hora manejaron muy mal la queja que di sobre el acoso y lamentablemente no cuentan con personal de seguridad que puedan evitar situaciones lamentables. Creo que los lugares administrados por la ciudad para el disfrute de la familia deben seguir el mismo protocolo de manejo que se dispone para las escuelas.

OK little gym. staff is accommodating and helpful. overcrowded and under stocked. dumbbells all over the floor but earlier than 6 pm you'll find an empty, useful little gym. for basic workout price is v. good. & a good area near the park and water where you can have your post w/o meal and watch the boats, fishermen, and manatees.
