Probably the worst gym I’ve ever experienced I waited for a week for them to check the cameras because I left my almost 300$ glasses. I never had one call. I went back in the gym and reported it to another employee on a different day. I was told she would Let the owner know as well. He never once called me I had to go back in while he was in there to catch him and ask one more time to check the footage and he would only talk about how I was rude to his employees trying to dodge the cameras. When I gave them over a week to check them, you could say I was definitely starting to get frustrated, but I was professional the whole time. I recommend never using this business I wish there was such thing as zero stars

It is not an overstatement for me to say that trainer Mary Hall and Journey Fitness have changed my life. I have joined and quit many gyms over the years but Mary’s enthusiasm and passion for health and wellness have kept me working out several times a week for 2 years. Great 24/7 gym that has all the equipment you need to get a great workout in. Was traveling with family for a vacation and stopped in for a week pass. The rates are very affordable. I had the pleasure of taking a class with Mary via Classpass while in town for a Bachelorette party this past weekend, and honestly, we weren’t sure what to expect upon booking. We can’t say enough good things about Journey Fitness Center. The gym itself has everything we need to get in a good workout, and the 24 hour access is super convenient. What really makes the gym, however, are the owners. Rich and Mary are awesome. They are always so warm and welcoming. I’ve been training with Rich for a couple of years. His approach to training and knowledge level make it fun and productive. He takes the time to get to know you, what your goals are, and if you have any limitations which may impact your training. I love Journey!!! Been a member for 4 months now. I have had multiple memberships at different big box gyms, Journey blows them all away! This is by far my favorite gym, I have been to many in my travels over the years. The owners are very knowledgeable professionals with friendly and motivational attitudes, which helps me a great deal because I’m not always feeling at the top of my game. Journey Fitness has very nice up to date equipment and it is kept very clean and in great shape. This was the case even before Covid.

I'll start by saying this gym is awesome! I recently spent some time in New Smyrna Beach and got a guest membership for the week to Journey Fitness so I could continue going to the gym on vacation. The owner, Rich and his family were super nice and made us feel very welcome. He chatted with me every day when I went in and took the time to get to know me. The gym has very nice equipment, all of which is in great shape and the entire gym is very clean and open 24/7. You can tell the owners really care and the gym atmosphere there is great. The members there are also very nice and we made a few friends there during our visit. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Florida. I just returned to my gym at home in NJ today and I'm already missing Journey Fitness! I definitely recommend checking this gym out if you're in the New Smyrna Beach area. You can do guest passes for the day, for a week, and for a month. I can't wait to go back there to workout, I wish it was my home gym! Five stars here.

For those who are doubting this gym based off the previous google reviews please take note they’re 4-5 years ago. Don't let the expectations and opinions of other people affect your decisions. There are sanitize stations at each point of the gym. Journey Fitness is accountable when it comes to their sanitation and the members are to hold their accountability to use it. When I get in during the staffed hours, the new owners are absolutely wonderful. They always have great specials going on for memberships as well as an easy peasy cancellation policy. So it's a new year and time for a new me. Or at least that is what I wanted to accomplish. Two of my friends follow your gym on instagram and after looking through your photos and seeing not only my friends but also my sisters realtor went there I decided to follow the page. I was in the middle of typing a message to inquire about pricing/fees and recieved a message saying "Leave us alone." Rather strange I thought to myself. I'm not surprised now after reading everyone elses bad experiences here on Google. So I will be heading over to that other GYM on Canal St. Good luck and I hope you have a prosperous new year.

They make canceling your membership and the charge to your credit card very difficult. I tried calling to cancel and they said I needed to come in person and fill out a form. So I did. No staff was there in the morning and my key no longer worked. I called again and said email me the form, "well it's not really a form," they said. "Just put your desire to cancel in writing and send it to the email on our website. I could not find the email on the website and spent a lot of time looking. This took a couple months as I didn't always remember to chase this gym around. Finally I had my card cancelled. That was the only way I could get them to stop charging me. I've never done auto pay on my card before and this is exactly why.

The equipment was great, and as were the experiences between two members that I met there. Really cool dudes. With that being said, the facility is a safety hazard, leaving harsh, poisonous chemicals just barely visible covered by a cheap Walmart shower curtain. The employees have no sympathy or care for any of the members that walk through the door, everybody who enters is just a paycheck, and you can sense that vibe after spending more than just a few days there. I do not recommend this gym. It is small, and the employees are unfathomably putrid and non sympathetic to any and all of their members. With that being said, I did however tailgate my girlfriend into this facility, when it is strictly against there policy, i'm just highly disappointed that the employees don't care about their members like I thought they would. I was never disrespectful, or rude. There are about 55 other gyms in the area, one other gym I tried and liked was, "Nautilus by The Sea", wonderful atmosphere, and absolutely outstanding staff members, although the lights are pretty dim and makes me feel like I'm in a cave.

Cancelling is extremly painful and difficult, as in you get billed for an extra month or two.
I loved the space in the beginning, but after the wrestling mats went in, it became too crowded.
Too many bodies to use that small of space, then add large men in spandex grunting and flopping around on a mat? Not a pleasant experience.
My suggestion? Have a seperate room for wrestlers.
Please make cancelling easy, even have a pause feature for membership. Like up to 3 months of a 12 month period.

I have been going to this gym since January. The first time my sister and I walked in, we knew this was the one! I have never belonged to a gym before because they were to commercial and I thought you had to be "in shape" to belong. (At least that's the vibes I got). Well I am 59 years old and just wanted to feel good again and be able to have fun as I grow older! No rocker sitting for me!! Since I have been going here, I feel great, losing weight and inches and have made many new friends. One thing I am most impressed with is the cleanliness of the gym. Never dirty!!! The trainers are knowledgeable and very encouraging about all aspects of your health and well being! I feel very secure at night or anytime by myself. Did I mention it's also FUN!!! We've been going to this gym for over a year. In the beginning it was excellent. However, recently, they seem to be lacking the funds for basic upkeep. The machines are rarely, if ever, sterilized or cleaned and the bathrooms and water fountain always appear dirty. The wrestling mats and stretching mat are always dirty and I have never seen them mop or wipe the wrestling mats down after a class. The staff is great, the gym is accessible and convenient, but I worry that they are not putting in the time to maintain the facility itself.
