I have been going to Just move since their name was GOLD GYM. They always have a great Zumba classes both North and South. They didn't promote their strength training classes when you join the gym. But I found out about it and have been going for several years now. The classes are Monday to Saturday and trained by best trainer -Abel and he is also one of the best Personal Trainer who helps a lot of people. I highly recommended.

To the owner: You will get my 5 stars review when you put back all the equipments that was supposed to be in the strength training room. it was under construction now for weeks. We cannot use the punching bag for months. But again, our best trainer Abel makes different routine for us without the equipment. He is not just the trainer trainer. He cares for everyone and he helps everyone out to reach our health goal. I really appreciate him as a group trainer as well as PT because he is the reason I can dance all my Zumba classes again.

I love this gym! It has a little bit of everything. The employees are so warm and welcoming in the morning. The H.I.T. class at 8:30 has helped me get out of my shell so much. The trainer Abel is fantastic and takes his time explaining the steps in class. The ladies that I do class with as well are amazing as well. I drive past two Just Move locations to get to a gym with a sauna (about 30 minutes), because of Just Move's terrible reputation and past experience. I decided this was dumb, so I got a day pass and talked to someone about joining. Based on the time that they signed my nephew up immediately before he went to bootcamp and then sent him to collections while he was in bootcamp, I decided that I should read the contract.

I am glad I did. The sales rep said it converts to month to month after a year, not per the contract. In fact, you can only cancel by sending snail mail to a third party before your contract automatically renews on an annual basis.

Not only that, but if you are ever late for 10 days... say your credit card expires and you don't update it, they will accelerate the entire contract and send you to collections with legal fees.

Finally, there is a $15/month surcharge if you use a card instead of paying ACH. Only a complete idiot would let these crooks have direct access to their bank account.

The gym is also in poor condition. Some of the benches don't even have bars, fewer plates than normal, and the sauna is warm (not hot). The whole place feels dirty and dated.

I guess I'll keep driving 30 minutes past these two locations. I wish someone else would buy them out.

Been fighting creditors because of this company RUN. I came in to cancel they told me I had to pay the $100 for canceling early when I asked for proof of the fee THEY HAD NONE. They showed me a standard contract with no fee hoping I would read it. I told them to cancel me they agreed and I left. They wrote this in my file continued to charge me until I was forced to cancel my card because they refused to let me cancel or honor my cancel, why would I drive in to cancel to not cancel, that makes zero sense -want to know how they treat you? Read their notes. Reach out here if you are having similar issues I am gathering claims from others.

Very expensive for old broken and outdated equipment. Cockroaches in the restroom/showers. They have a double standard when it comes to dress/attire. They do not kick women who are half naked in immodest clothes (example: sports bras) like their policy requires but they kick out men for going to the gym in modest clothes after work. I moved to Lakeland in January and was on the hunt for a gym and found Just Move in south Lakeland and have been so happy with what just move has to offer. The price for me and in my husband is super reasonable and includes the sauna, hydrotherapy and a cardio theater and tons of sections with weights, squat racks and machines. After a few months I hurt my hip flexor and I started working with trainer Aaron to help with my injury. He goes above and beyond for his team and his clients. He has been sharing his wealth of knowledge and pushing me past my limits and I couldn’t be more grateful - I’m out of pain and learning how to exercise to stay out of pain! If your looking for a trainer Aaron is the real deal!!!

I understand that oversleeping can happen to anyone, but a 1-hour delay is unacceptable. I hope that you will take steps to address this issue and provide a more reliable and communicative service to your members.

I share the same negative review as a lot of others. I moved to St Pete right after I joined this location and have never visited for the 3-5 months I was signed up. Between the "initiation" fee, the requirement to come in-person to the location you signed up to cancel, and the $105 cancellation fee makes this a very predatory model. As others mentioned, I relooked over my service agreement and there is no mention of any cancellation fee. I'm glad the FTC agree that you have predatory practices and are requiring you to change your policy by law by April. This must be why you have negative BBB complaints and reviews.. I mean look at how the Business responds to complaints.

I just got a membership yesterday but the guy did a great job at showing me around and making sure I had all the information. The young lady at the front also helped me finish setting up my membership and she was super sweet. Today I used their childcare which I was super nervous about because I’ve never left my child alone before, but Braxton and the other girl that worked there did an amazing job! I peeked around the corner a couple times and saw my son sitting in their lap playing with them. I didn’t once see the girls on their phone which was really refreshing because I read a review about the just move in south Lakeland and apparently their childcare is horrible so I drive like 40 min to go to this location. From what I saw today with the child care, it is definitely worth it! I’m happy I get to workout and know my son is in a safe environment with girls who care about the kids.

I’m so grateful for the amazing team that works the kid care center. They take such incredible care of my nonverbal autistic son while I’m working out. The girls are absolutely wonderful so patient, gentle, and understanding of his needs.

My son is not social really with other kids but loves affection. The girls will hold and rock him when he needs comfort. It’s such a small, meaningful gesture that shows just how much they truly care about him. They’ve created a calm and supportive environment where he feels safe, and I can tell they’re always tuned into what he needs. I can’t thank them enough for the peace of mind they give me that allows me to enjoy my workout!

New to the area as of a year ago. After starting my membership I had my reservations of staying at this gym. Every time you turned around there was a sign in every corner of the gym "if you don't rerack, your membership may be term'd, "if you don't clean off equipment, your membership may be term'd" and probably 2 or 3 other signs on white boards propped up everywhere. It was like if you breath too loud you're going to get your membership term'd. My 1 year was recently up and they doubled my membership costs. Doesn't state anywhere on my contract the price would go up nor does it mention a specific price outside of what I was paying. Additionally I was in the gym today and got told my cut off was too low. They are no longer allowing cut offs past your general armpit / shoulder area but women can walk around in sports bras and yoga pants LOL. The place is turning into a planet fitness. If that is what you enjoy, great. I will probably be looking for another gym and taking my wife, 2 kids, and $80/month elsewhere.

Definitely the new ownership rescued this place by bringing more equipment, making this place cleaner and nicer. Managers and staff are always friendly, transparent and helpful. Love coming in to workout! 👍🏽😎

I've been a member on and off for many years. This gym has an exceptional variety of exercise options, tons of equipment, plenty of room for just about anything, very friendly staff, plus showers, lockers and sauna. Not crazy expensive either. Plus, even at peak hours, it's not overly busy.
Try it, and remember it's call "Just Move" so don't sit down and then stare at your phone. ;)

I been paying double memberships. Staff is Untrustworthy. If you are going to make any changes to your membership make sure you have writing evidence that you did. If you bring up problems to staff or manager they’ll say they’ll call you but you won’t hear back from them.

I canceled my membership. 7 months later they were still charging me. I went to canceled a 2nd time and they still continue to charge my account. I attempt talking to a manager who would call me back and never did. I had to dispute it with my bank. Terrible costumer service.

I was just at the gym and at the front desk speaking with the Manager Mario and contemplating signing up a membership when one of the employees just stood there brushing his teeth then rinsed his mouth in the sink that they use for washing the containers used to make smoothies. This is just nasty. Plain and simple and when I called pointed it out to the manager, he said that he was going to speak to the worker but the other employee a female who was also at the front desk was starting to make excuses for the employee who just brushed his teeth if I might say in the “kitchen sink”. This was such a big turn off and as I was leaving they were all smiling as if it was funny. People, please be aware of this nastiness at Just Move in North Lakeland. Very disappointed and I was disgusted.

I’ve been being harassed for the last month by their collections agency impersonating lawyers. I canceled this membership years ago after they were not golds gym and have never signed any kind of paperwork with any of these people. The collections agency tells me I should not contact just move.

Absolutely love this gym! Staff is very welcoming and friendly, gym and locker rooms are always clean and organized. Most of all the three women in kids care Courtney, Braxton, and Laiken make me feel so comfortable leaving my little ones with them while I enjoy a workout. My kids actually look forward to going to the gym because they are so playful and make sure they always have the best time.

Laiken! I cannot say enough about her. My son refuses to go to southside just move, all because he wants to be around Laiken. She’s so kind and Wellyn always learns something when he’s with her. Highly recommended the north side just move kids care because of HER!

This gym has CHANGED my life! The staff is so so so AMAZING! I LOVE THEM AL! Just Move is kept very clean and and the Just Kids Club is so amazing. Mrs Laken is outstanding! I have been visiting this gym since 2013 and it is the first time I have heard music in Spanish! I am Latina and there are many Latinos who visit this gym (((the best in the city of Lakeland! Went in like I do almost everyday..brought friends with me for my double pass that has guest passes. Was rudely informed it ended yet there was no notice got told there was notes all around and it was being enforced as if I had seen them and was just acting dumb after I had said I got no notice..she continued to just state signs and like I was dumb and if I wanted my guest to be able to workout I would have to pay for passes. This place has went to crap since a couple months ago. I pay over 50$ a month for my passes including guest services and wasn’t informed with any email nor anybody saying anything when I was just in 2 nights ago…thinking bout taking my business elsewhere. Update been trying for 4 months to cancel to no end now I’m being told I have to go up there after they took 70$ out of my account today. When my account was frozen for just move anyways because my home gym is closed for remodeling and I used this one

Just left and so disappointed to say I’ll be canceling my membership of 2 years.We have consistently come to this gym for 2 years. We pay for me and my husbands membership along with childcare. I have used the childcare probably 5-10 times in those 2 years. Today we came in for a quick workout(45min) since the kid club closes at 8:30pm. When we got there the lady working at the kids club seem overwhelmed and asked us to write our sons name on the sheet since the scanner didn’t work. We go to start working out and 20 minutes into our workout I hear my sons name over the intercom then look at my husband and see 2 reps from the gym talking to my him. Obviously, I ran to see what was going on but the reps walk away rudely. My husband then tells me they said our sons membership is inactive. I then told him that was impossible since the payment was just deducted from our account on the 11th. I went up front to follow the reps that walked away from me whispering to each other. One the the girls then told another up front “they say they’re membership is active” then walks away. They look up our phone number and see all 3 memberships are active and paid(waste of our time). I don’t understand why this couldn’t wait for us to finish when we have been honest and paying customers. I only had at that point 8 minutes to workout so decided to pick up my son and leave. The kid club seem to be calling parents in for any reason to clear the place out and it’s clear they wanted to leave early. I didn’t have the energy to stay and cancel but will be back tomorrow to cancel and find a new gym. You shouldn’t treat people this way.You’ll have my name tomorrow when I cancel since the last review has a poor response from management.

My favorite part about coming to the gym is knowing that my kids are well taken cared of for at least two hours a day while I get to work out and do for me. Miss Braxton is our favorite care leader at the kids club. Valentine’s Day passed by and she was quick to think of my babies and gift them cards as well as cute toys (not pictured) but I love coming to the Just Move in the North Lakeland location.

Amazing facility and amazing staff. One individual that stood out to me was a man named Harvey. My car battery died in the parking lot and I was unfortunately stranded. Harvey came out and helped me get my car running and I managed to make it home safe. He is an amazing worker and an overall amazing individual.

This gym has completely went down hill. I’ve been going here for 15 years and The moment it went under new management all the prices of everything went up. The memberships used to be reasonably priced. The base membership was 10.99 and then of course depending on what items you wanted (bringing guests, tanning, classes, kids care) you could get one of the nicer memberships. Well this new management has done away with guest privileges, you have to pay extra for kids care, it’s no longer included in a membership, and now the base membership is 27.99. Not to mention the gyms front desk counters are falling apart, the equipment is older, the locker rooms are disgusting and outdated and this new head management is mean to their employees. This new management is trying to price gouge for a gym that is not up kept and mediocre. If the prices of everything have went up at least invest it back into the gym and actually make it worth that much money. If you want to go to a really nice gym go to crunch on the south side where it’s reasonably priced, you can bring guests, and the equipment is new and the facility is up kept.

We were in Lakeland over the 2023 holiday season, and we tried Just Move because it won for best gym in the local Lakeland publication. We were very impressed. First of all, a shout out to Chance who took great care of us on our visit--very helpful and professional. I recommend this gym for the staff, equipment, and facility cleanliness. A great experience.
