Karate America has been great for my child and my family in general. Master Creed and Ms. Torres are terrific instructors, very dedicated to helping each and every one of their students. They are compassionate and truly caring for the martial arts and for teaching true values. I would 100% recommend Karate America to anyone looking for a place where your kid can get discipline while having fun. Kids of all abilities are welcome and as a behavior analyst this is a big plus for me.

Our Karate America journey started in January 2020, just before COVID turned our lives upside down. Master Creed and the team pivoted to ensure that everyone still had access to training and support online. We all looked forward to this little bit of connection with others every Saturday. Our daughter developed a greater sense of discipline and commitment to learning during that time, which manifested in many ways, including online school. Karate America eventually intrigued our then 6-year-old son, who immediately set his Black Belt goal with enthusiasm.

Our family has a deep respect and gratitude for Master Creed and the entire team. Master Creed's dedication to his craft and commitment to imparting life skills to others are admirable. Kindness and understanding were always evident with every interaction with the team.

We are proud of our kids and their accomplishments. Our daughter achieved her second degree, Black Belt, and our son, his first degree. As we transition to a different phase of life and explore new opportunities, we want to say thank you for an unforgettable experience! Keep up the great work!

Extra curricular activities should be a safe place for your children to be themselves, make new friends and learn new skills. This program came recommended by a family friend, when we first joined things seem to be going OK but overtime that changed. Master Creed is an extremely kind and caring instructor, his staff might not all be as well versed in the care of children and how to speak to them which is why we recommend looking at other programs in the area.

Our daughter’s participate in gymnastics, golf, soccer and karate. My oldest being so excited to join the karate program was sharing with Mr. Maurer about her recent performance in her golf program and that she was thinking of taking a break from gymnastics. Mr. Maurer is usually the finance guy who will upsell each family on their programs, which is understandable we all have a job to do and need to earn money. In this same breath of her being so beyond excited to be trying something new (which was golf) Mr. Maurer had the audacity to tell her to quit golf, as it is not as fun or cool as karate and ask mommy and daddy to pay for the black belt program. Which we are well aware exists but have no interest considering they force you into prepayment for months long commitments, you also are forced to purchase gear and equipment your child may not need or utilize unless they join that more expensive program (it will be sitting collecting dust). She came home from that interaction so speechless and confused, an adult she looked up to telling her that her new interests are silly and unimportant, pushing something on her she has no interest in and that had been communicated to him by both myself and husband, showed this was not the place for us. My mother in law came home also upset after hearing him address an 8 year old this way.

I decided to bring it to master Creeds attention and his sympathy was with us but the corrective action did nothing for my child, nor do I think enough was done at the time in regards to holding mr Maurer accountable. The class she attended after this conversation Master Creed decided to make directly towards cheering her on in regards to trying something new (golf), which was appreciated but unnecessary considering she shouldn’t have been spoken to in that way to begin with. When Creed did mention it, it brought her to tears because she had what Mr Maurer said to her in the back of her mind. We never returned after that day, we paid for a program we could not complete. It was worth noting, there’s a specific way to address kids and adults. Food for thought when shopping around for a program you’re entire family should feel comfortable with, I don’t think this is an honest establishment to bring your kids.

Karate America, it’s my daughter’s second family, she loves it! She started about 2 years ago and committed towards getting her black belt. Best decision ever. The training and discipline is amazing, the instructors Master Creed, Maurer are exceptional life changers. When my daughter started she had trouble focusing and had low self esteem, now she’s focused and more confident, and it’s all due to the training and love provided at Karate America. Amazing environment highly recommend it, I’ve seen a big change, she believes in herself now, she’s currently a brown belt. I’m so thankful for Karate America.

We were looking for a Martial Arts school for our oldest daughter (6) and found Karate America Pembroke Lakes. The location brought us in , it was conveniently close to our home but it was Master Creed and Mr. Mauerer that convinced us to stay. My daughter comes home after every class so excited to show me what she learned with Master Creed. Can’t wait for my other two little ones (4) and (3) to take their first Little Tigers class. They run an Amazing program here and we are so Happy to be part of the family now!

Master Creed is the secret sauce of this school! My son had the best time training with him. Not only was he funny he was inspirational and took a personal interest in his success inside and outside the karate studio. His behavior has changed for the better because of his teachings. We also had family visit and Master Creed taught a private class for just our family! That was really sweet and so much fun!! Thank you for all you do for our children! Can’t wait for summer camp!

GO AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
I download the application hoping that my son would like Karate however after some Saturdays trying, we decided to quick since my son doesn’t like it and he was refusing to participate.
Well once you download de Aplication, you will not be able to cancel by yourself, you will need to call their headquarters office and request the cancelation and after all they still charging you for a month since they required 30 days in advance.
I didn’t know that downloading the application and adding your information there means you will be allowing them to charge you automatically per week.
RUN AWAY FROM THEM.
I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

Also, had to pay upfront for everything; my wife and son had one bad class and when I asked for a refund, they said they would not return a penny. Horrible way to deal with costumers and handle business. Make sure you know what quality training you are getting before making a commitment and payments. NO REFUND POLICE.

I can’t thank Master Moncada and Master Creed enough for teaching me how to feel safe not only in self defense situations, but also in my own skin. I get harassed by men constantly, and have even been chased down a few times in broad daylight. Before taking Krav Maga with them, I was scared to go for a walk in a gated community; now, I feel like I can defend myself in case anything does happen. Also, the community at Karate America is so positive, and I honestly think it has to do mostly with the staff being pure rays of sunshine. I’ve become friends with members of classes I don’t even take, and we all support each other. I’ve never seen anything like it! There’s not enough space on earth for all the kind words I’d say about this place.

In short, If you feel unsafe, try Krav with Master Moncada and Master Creed! It’s the best thing I’ve ever done for myself ❤️

I found Karate America through Groupon. They did not pressure me to join except to once let me know the prices were going up for every one shortly. Then they left me alone about joining which made me want to join.

I'm 59 and a bit out of shape. My new class friends are great to work with. Even if we have an accidental tiny accident we get concerned, make sure we are ok and then continue having fun and learning.

Do not sign up with them if your child may not like karate. I had correspondence with one of the instructors more than a month prior to when my child's last class was (becuase my child no longer wanted to do karate) and I was informed I did not need to leave a written notice. When I confirmed with the same person about canceling the classes for my child they told me to email headquarters, of which I did but they still charged me for one more month. I showed the correspondence to the person at headquarters proving that I requested cancellation more than 30 days in advanced and they still won't refund me for the additional month they charged me. They are obviously just about making money with no regards to written communication. Not happy and will never recommend Karate America to another person.

Master Creed and Ms. Moncada make the perfect team of instructors, delivering the best technique in regards not only to Taekwondo, but also kids self defense and adult Krav Maga. Karate America delivers a multi-faceted training program for children and adults. I started my daughter in the Tiny Tigers program at the age of 4 when they were at their previous location. Now, 3 1/2 years later she is thriving as a blue belt and a member of the advanced class. The school offers a normal class, a higher intensity class, kickboxing fitness classes, and Krav Magra self defense. They also offer several non-training related activities for the young like "ninja night" and camps during school breaks. The current space is a little small however, they are on the cusp of completing the build-out on a much larger space on the side of the parking lot. Robert Creed, Damaris Moncada and the rest of the highly capable high-character staff at Karate America are excellent role models for children and adults alike.

Deep in my heart I know joining Karate America CC/PE was the best decision I Ever made to be a part of Karate America CC/PP. Best choice I ever made for my
daughters. Little did I know that by signing up for Taekwondo at Karate America for both my children and myself that I would be changing our lives completely. Robert Creed and Damaris Moncada have created a positive loving family environment. The entire Karate America staff are training leaders through positive reinforcement and strong life lessons. Both of my children have thrived at Karate America. From tiny tigers to black belts, they have grown physically, emotionally and intellectually. The instructors are fabulous! The camaraderie is so comforting. And it's not just for the kids. About 10 years ago, my son Andres Carrasco, became a black belt at Karate America, Pembroke Pines. They taught him respect, discipline, how to be positive, and to never quit. When my son was leaving for college 2 months ago, he forced me to go and see Mr. Creed so I could start exercising. According to my son, I needed to do something to distract myself so I wouldn't get depressed when he left. Little did I know, that at 57, I would be falling in love with kickboxing. I have not only found a way to distract myself, I have lost the weight I gained in the last 6 years, I am more toned than ever, I have so much more energy, and I have lowered my heart rate by 10 beats per minute. And all of this in just 2 months!!! But the best part of all, is to have Mr. Creed and Ms. Moncada be a part of our lives again. Thank you for everything you have done for our family.
