I can’t thank Rebecca enough for helping me turn a corner. Sadly I had forgotten over the years that my physical and mental well-being is important. Turning 50, dealing with menopause, working and taking care of children were taking a toll on me physically and mentally. I knew last year that I had to make a major lifestyle change but was unsure how best to achieve my goals since I felt tired and incredibly out of shape. Three to four days a week of pilates, 10K steps multiple times a week were no longer enough.
When my kids asked me what I wanted for the holidays, I knew immediately that I wanted to invest in myself with a training package.
Rebecca has exemplary interpersonal skills; I’ve never felt alone in my journey. She is positive, attentive, full of energy and will be your biggest champion. During my one hour sessions I’m challenged each and every time, the minute my form is off Rebecca makes a correction. Should I have questions outside of my sessions, I know all I have to do is send a text message and a quick response will follow. Immediately Rebecca understood my schedule constraints and was able to devise a workout program specifically tailored to my goals. In some cases what I perceived as a constraint wasn’t necessarily so, there were times I needed a fresh set of eyes to explain how to build healthy habits into my day and to put myself first.
In early January 2024, I began nutrition counselling and twice weekly personal training sessions. Within 3 ½ months I lost 23lbs and 13.37% of my starting weight. What helped the most with my training was being held accountable, learning how to navigate through life’s hurdles to keep the weight off long term and how to fuel my body during the day. I wasn’t eating enough protein, I wasn’t eating on any particular schedule to support my body nor was I drinking enough water.
Beside training in person, I have a workout plan specifically curated from the Kick@55 Fitness YouTube channel. I now have the ability to exercise anywhere and can continue to strength train without issue. Rebecca provided suggestions about what equipment I should purchase; I now have equipment at home to utilize during my workouts.
Rebecca’s fitness knowledge and abilities and her sensitivity on how to help me achieve results have made this investment in myself worth every penny. She truly cares about her clients; she has the skills to develop fitness plans that will truly help you reach your goals.

Rebecca, I just wanted to thank you again and again and again for making my life better! Although I have been an athlete most of my life, I don’t think I have ever been so toned or, in reality so fit since I have started training with you! You come up with these amazing workouts that keep me engaged, interested and having fun! The days I train with you are the best days of the week! I look forward so much to our workouts. The workouts also help me manage day to day stress by leaving me calm and focused. I so appreciate all the time and planning effort you clearly put into our work together. It is so effective!!! I cannot say enough good things about Kick@55. I have experienced all levels of training they have to offer. I started working out one on one with Rebecca to get ready for my wedding this fall. I had a goal of loosing 10lbs in 6 months which I thought would be near impossible. Now I can say that after 6 weeks of training via zoom with Rebecca I've already lost more than that! I can't wait to continue!
I thought working out over zoom would be clumsy but it has been just as easy as meeting in person. Rebecca is able to adjust my posture and form as needed while also showing me new exercises in her gym. She can also tell when weight needs to be increased for a more effective workout.
I would definitely recommend working out with Rebecca and Kick@55!

I started working with Rebecca at Kick January 2016 in Chicago when I got an offer to try Kick@55. I was intimidated. I was never really a "workout in public" kind of person. She was welcoming and really pushed me when I needed it. Bottom line: SHE IS AMAZING.
Back then it was to get me in shape for my wedding (25 lbs!), then it was to help me rehab after my first child which got me back to my starting weight before I got pregnant. Something I had honestly always feared I wouldn't be able to do as I have struggled with extra weight most of my life.
After kid #2, everything had moved to the YouTube format, and it has been an absolute lifesaver. I really struggled to lose the baby weight after my second. I was just mentally and emotionally rundown. But in 3 months (Jan-Apr 2023), I lost ALL of it and even started to chip away at the last remaining weight I had been trying to knock out before having kids!. In this 3 month window I lost 27lbs and lost so many inches (4.5" off waist and 5.5" off the lower belly/fupa area).
I can do workouts around nap schedules and in my own home, so it helped stop the excuses about why I couldn't exercise. I also found that getting consistent exercise in gave me way more energy to be with my kids and be a good mom.Taking care of me is helping me take better care of my 2 kids.
What is the best though is that Rebecca has always been there to offer advice on how to change things up in my eating or exercise routine to get me through plateaus, always helpful in offering any modifications I need when I was dealing with postpartum diastasis and weak pelvic floor, and being an amazing source of encouragement on those days that you struggle and really need it. You know you aren't alone in it and that means a lot.
I recommend her and Kick@55 to anyone and everyone. You will not regret it!

I've had at least 10 personal trainers in life. I picked them based on personality and what I thought I wanted in a trainer. Turns out Rebecca is THE ONE. Everything I didn't know I needed! I can't recommend her enough as a trainer. She's that unicorn balance of tough but compassionate. Your stall tactics will go right over her head and she'll keep you moving during the workout without offending or intimidating or working you too hard. She allows for rest when you need it and then gets you right back on the horse. She will not let you down, I promise you. Rebecca will be your guiding light. Just say Yes!

If I could give Rebecca Gahan and Kick@55 10 stars out of 5 I would. To say Rebecca was instrumental in my weight loss journey is an understatement. I started working out at Kick@55 when Rebecca had her studio in Chicago in 2019. Then Covid hit and Rebecca transitioned Kick@55 to online workouts perfectly. It has been the only workout I have ever stayed consistent with for more than 3 months. Fast forward to February 2022 when I started working with Rebecca to get in the best shape of my life for my May 2022 wedding. Rebecca is kind, compassionate, intelligent, extremely knowledgeable in nutrition and fitness, and is one of the most genuine people I have met. She holds you accountable but also shares in your successes. She is also realistic. I had my bachelorette party, wedding shower, and caught covid during the time we worked together, and with each obstacle that I encountered, she always had a plan for me. She wants you to reach your goals, but her number one priority is your health. In those 3 months, I lost 3 inches in my waist & 3 inches in my hips, and 13 pounds (see before & after pictures). I was truly in the best shape of my life on my wedding day and received so many compliments. Since I live in Chicago, I did work with Rebecca virtually but she does have an in-person studio in Tampa, Florida. If I lived in Florida, I would be there as much as possible. Rebecca is everything you can ever want in a personal trainer! She was a driving force behind my fitness/wellness journey when I first met her and trained in person with her over 6 years ago. She's the total package. For starters, she's got the experience and no shortage of reference checks. Her proven style has allowed her to attract several personal training clients in one of the toughest, competitive markets. She's got the technical background that will deliver results, expertise in nutrition that are crucial to supplementing your workouts and most important, she's personal and fun to be around. I'm so thankful for Kick@55 Fitness! I'm seeing consistent changes in my body in so many ways. I use the fitness videos as regularly as I can but I understand that nutrition is the most important part of getting healthy. The nutrition counseling I've been receiving has been life changing. I'm learning so much during my weekly phone calls/ check-in's. I'm learning how to make better daily food decisions, pre-planning food for nights out and it's giving me the accountability I need to succeed.
