I love this little gym because I can work out in peace, they have all the equipment I need, and it’s never too packed. I only go to the big box gyms when I’m not in the area and can’t make it to kinetix. I don’t like those big gyms because there’s too many people and despite the size, the equipment never seems to be available when I need it.
Kinetix is my go to gym!

This is one of the most despicable gyms EVER! If you would like a glimpse of the managements attitude, just read their replies to any negative post, and even some positive posts! Owner/Management and all the way down to the front desk staff has entitled/combative attitudes 😒 🙄 🤮 the only hope to save this gym from implosion is new ownership and a complete new staff!!
I could go on with my own personal story that would turn your stomach. I simply don't want to waste the energy or get all worked up rehashing it.
Most of the good trainers and class instructors have either quit or gone to jail. I imagine Willie won't be far behind and quit himself. They are in such desperate need for memberships and money that they'll find a way to keep your money and force you to go to Extreme Measures to try and recoup whats owed to you, the customer. 🤣🥵

On February 8 2023, I went to Kinetix health gym in between 9am and 11am. I completed my workout, walked to the local Winn Dixie and purchased lunch. When I came back to the gym, I sat in front sitting area to eat lunch. After eating, I noticed a protein shake that I wanted to purchase but there wasn't a staff member at the front desk. I went to search for one and found one in the back office.

I spoke with Will; he was talking to another member so briefly interrupted to get his attention. I asked if I could have a strawberry protein 40 oz drink. He said that was fine and to give him $4.00 and to go get one. I grabbed a banana one they where out of Strawberry so I walked back and told Will that I got a banana instead; in case they were doing inventory.

I walked back up-front area to check out the aerobics class. They were doing what looked like a kick boxing lesson so I was observing the instructor through the observation window. After a few minutes of watching, one of the members in the session opened the door and said, "Don't be watching the class, you're disgusting" then she closed the door. When she noticed I was still watching the class she left the class and found another gym member to complain about me.

That member and three others along with a staff member approached me in an intimidating manner. They told me I need to stop looking in on the class. I'm making the woman I said, that's her problem. What law or rule did I break? I can look where ever I want. This is a public place and I'm a member. I mentioned that I might want to take the class.

He smirked and said that I wasn't going to take the class. I asked how he knew what class I intended to take, that he didn't know me. Then he stated, yeah, and I don't want to. I said well you are making me uncomfortable, the way you and these other guys are approaching me. Are you telling me it's okay for you to make someone uncomfortable, but not me?! explained again, that I have done nothing wrong or inappropriate. I am simply observing the class. He and a staff member Will, said I was no longer allowed to come back. I am a silver sneakers member and, on the company website, it invites my membership, silver sneakers, to take the exercise class followed by coffee and snacks.

Because I was notified about the offer to take the class, I wanted to check out what they were doing, particularly the kick boxing course. I am still unaware of any rules I broke that would cause me to be kicked out of the gym. I feel discriminated against, because I'm a man male who was observing a class primarily of women despite doing nothing inappropriate.

Kinetix Gym is a great place to workout. I have been a member for over 4 years. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. The trainers are always available to give advice. The gym offers the Les Mills Group fitness classes which I highly recommend. This is a smaller gym and I like the atmosphere. I have never had to wait for machines and the members are all pretty friendly. I would highly recommend this gym.

Below this is a review from someone who also gotten cheated from this gym so it seems that this happens quite often. I stopped by the gym to pay this "$25" cancellation fee and stopped receiving invoices back in 10/19/21. After thinking that everything was settled I checked my credit report to purchase a home and see a collections against me. I spoke with Glen who handled their collections and he told me that I had to go online and cancel the membership from there. I told Glen to re-read the contract as it CLEARLY stated to go in person and pay a cancellation fee. He stumbled for words and said that the gym owned had told him to say that to me. He then told me that there was nothing he can do about this and the only way to get this off my credit was to pay it. It seems to me that this gym is just giving me the run around and they stuck me with a $200 bill even after i canceled. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM UNLESS YOU WANT AN UNEXPECTED COLLECTIONS AGAINST YOU EVEN IF YOU PAY THE CANCELLATION FEE. They will tell you that you needed to cancel online even though that was not stated ANYWHERE in the contract. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM

I cancelled my membership and have an email to prove it and the so called “manager” sent me to collections (which I have disputed and it was removed from my credit). I also cancelled my husbands on the same day and he too was sent to collections. Unfortunately, his was not removed because management is saying we are lying which is a joke. I have had 2 memberships for about 4 years. For over 2 years we have not gone to the gym at all. I called to cancel the memberships a month ago. Joe was not understanding at all that we have basically been donating to the gym for over 2 years. He still is still charging the annual fee (after I cancelled), a cancellation fee, and the 2 monthly fees for the following month due to the 30 day notice which I missed by 4 days. Are you kidding me? We have been DONATING for over 2 years!!! I do not recommend this gym to anyone. I don't appreciate being taken advantage of.

KINETIX INSPIRED FITNESS is the best gym in the area. It's always clean and well maintained and the staff is always friendly. The layout of the machines and equipment is top notch. There are gyms closer to me in St. Petersburg but I prefer to travel a few extra miles to KINETIX.

This gym, like you have probably read from the other reviews, is nothing but HORRIBLE! They welcome you in with open arms preaching no contracts. Now I have a $200 collection on my credit from Kinetix. They are desperate to have people in but will retaliate if you want to leave. They can’t deal with the fact that people are over the outdated equipment and can go to Amped right around the corner for less money with more equipment. The sad thing is my boyfriend had been working out at that gym since 2007 and I was there for two years! Also if you have an issue or concern, do not rely on Joe to fix the situation. I had caught a member continuously taking pictures of me while I was working out. After bringing it to Joes attention and watching him ON THE SECURITY CAMERAS that member had a slap on the hand and continued on with his life. The real kicker was after. If Joe was there while I was, the whole thing was a joke to him. Acting like he was taking pictures of me, bringing it up in conversations, etc. Do not go to this gym!

I was a member of this gym for three almost 4 years never had a problem decided to switch my membership so I notified them via email for myself and my wife’s account I wasn’t in any contract but I still gave them the respect of a 30 day notice that they requested. So come to find out over a year later they sent me and my wife to collections as I’m in the mist of trying to buy a house I have a amount on my credit report that says I owe kinetics $185!!!! I’ve been trying to get this resolved through the collection agency that they have set up for them and it’s been a complete nightmare I do not suggest or recommend this gym at all the manager JOE has a bad attitude doesn’t know how to take care of his customers and he’s lost pretty much every member that was a part of his gym around the same time that I left. I’ve tried getting a hold of this guy and he never returns my calls. It’s because of him personally that I would never recommend this gym to anyone. Ask anyone that use to work out there he makes their gym look bad. He shouldn’t even have a job there. Now I have to fight with a collection agency for a petty $185 that I don’t owe. Had a 700+ credit score and now I’m below 680 because of his neglect to cancelation emails. DONT GET A MEMBERSHIP AT KINETIX amped fitness is about 5 minutes away , wayyyyyyy better!

Stay away from this gym! Lacking weights, outdated equipment and few machines. It is; however, never crowded (hmmm that should have clued me in). Anyhow, here's the real kicker- I cancelled my membership in Jan 2020 but the cancellation has a box that says-"i agree to these terms." One of which is that the cancellation is conditional upon their decision! No, i'm cancelling-not at your discretion, my membership clearly states-NO CONTRACTS. I did not agree and submitted my cancellation. Stopped my credit card from autopay but allowed one more payment for their cancellation fee. I even went back a few times while scouting other gyms and paid a $10 daily fee ( I think 4 times). The staff always took my money and advised my it would save money to reactivate my membership, which I always said I would consider and I did but just not a good fit for the above mentioned reasons. Never got a bill, phone call-nothing. A month ago I got a letter from a collection agency for $288!! Again no phone calls nothing, completely blindsided. I always took care of this gym and once even left $10 when no one was at the desk. I suppose no good deed goes unpunished. When I contacted the gym the owner/manager said he would take care of it and call me right back. This was 3 days ago, nothing. Not sure how they arrived at this number ($288) as there was no breakdown and the gym was even closed due to covid for a good period of this time. I have had some gyms try some shady things in my lifetime, but this takes the cake. Should be called the Hotel California gym because you can check out, but you can never leave. Stay away from this gym if you value your credit. Not only did I loose my job during covid but now i have to dispute a BS collection agency charge. Way to look out kinetix, family friendly gym-sure. Shady, shady.

Great family owned gym. Has everything from cardio machines to plated weights and everything in between. Les Mills and freeform group fitness classes, cycle classes and virtual classes, kid's area, personal training, functional and resistance training and 24 hour access. Great, friendly and knowledgeable staff to help you. They also have a massage therapist.

Great gym with Les Mills classes in a beautiful studio. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly and truly create a fun workout for class participants. No pressure to be perfect here! Club manager, Joe, does an incredible job keeping us informed of special events, 24 hour club access procedures and making sure everyone is happy. The members here are also very nice people with a similar goal of living a healthy lifestyle. So glad I found this gym!!

My husband and I Had a great first time fitness analysis by Paul. What a great experience, he went through all the machines, showed us some new things and gave us the most thorough gym review we’ve ever had. We really appreciated the extra time he spent with us. If you want to be over charged and taken advantage of after your contract expires this would be the right gym for you. From the start I was persuaded to come in by all the low monthly rates signs up all over. This was 2 years ago, so I may be incorrect on the exact amount, but I believe it was $10 or $20 a month memberships. Then you walk into the door and receive details they will happily give you that rate they display all over after a 2 year contract with them paying double the amount and a hefty sign up fee. Then when your contract ends, don’t worry they will not call and bug you to renew because they will just keep charging you monthly, but not at the discounted rate you saw when you first signed up. Then add to it the service fees you receive every July. They offer nothing more then other gyms in the area and they are double or triple the cost.

What I like about this place it's 24hr.

Some of the equipment is older, and I prefer the other location, but Kinetix as a package is an amazing gym. One membership gets you access to both locations.

The other location has better equipment and it's more modern. They have excellent classes and daycare for the children.

I highly recommend Kinetics.

The price is excellent and if you can get a sign up special, it is definitely worth the purchase.

I have been with this gym before it turned into a Kinetix Health Club and it has gone uphill, since the new ownership. The staff is friendly and even the people at the gym are nice. The equipment is practically brand new and always clean. Kinetix has it all tanners, group classes, personal training, free weights, tons of cardio machines so you never have to wait, 24 hour access, day care while you work out, and all at a great price. Need I say more!

Now that Kinetix Health Club has taken over this old Work Out World it looks AWESOME! I was in town visiting and purchased a week pass at this facility. The gym is a clean and smells nice! They are getting 24 hour access really soon and their childcare will be opening soon too! I am a health club owner on the other coast and I was really impressed with the changes they are making. "The owner Jack clearly doesn't care much about your fitness, and cares much more about his wallet."That is such a true statement. He could care less. The place is filthy, dirty Nasty. They do not take care of it. Once they mislead you into signing the contract he has done his job.....He uses the contract only to be able to rip people off, there is no reason whatsoever for them to take an extra payment from you after you cancel, the only reason is to fill his pockets. Oh...and you can not cancel over the phone, email or fax....only in writing.....this gives them more time to be able to take another payment from you. Do not go here......go somewhere where they care about you.
