This gym used to be good for what I wanted- very simple and cheap with low volume of people. Some machines were left not working but overall it had what I mostly needed. However, they closed the south beach location right after I purchased membership without a warning. I found out by going in to the gym and they were removing machines. I tried calling their main location over and over, emailed multiple times, eventually I got lucky to get the owners phone number from another member. It took 32 days exactly of being in contact with him, texting roughly 1-2 times every week and having to repeat the information in order to finally get my refund. They say we were supposedly told about rolling memberships into the new gym that opened there but I double checked to make sure I had never received this communication. Once I finally got my refund, I changed this review to reflect that, but it took a ton of persistence on my end to get there.

Really good experience, tbh haven’t gone in a few months due to injury but the time I was there it was amazing, BJJ classes were phenomenal, very friendly, and very family oriented, they know how to run a business, some of the best people I met. I found KoZone by chance, and my first intent was only to workout at the weights and train normally. I was intrigued by the martial art programs they offer and chose to try out jiujitsu. I have been in the gym for 6 months already and the atmosphere is great, everybody is friendly and humble. Unlike other mma gyms they have have all the weight training machines and free weights crossfit area. GREAT GYM!💪🏻 I started about a month ago and I can say I love it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This place is really clean and neat. They have great trainers, but theirs one that is the best of best!!! Her name is Stefany she really great, since I started I’ve been training with her and she pushes me and pushes me and that’s great because it motivates me. She’s a wonderful person and really nice I love training with her, I wouldn’t change her for nothing.💯💯💪🏻💪🏻

Another day, another year, another killer class at KO Zone!! 💪 Been coming about a decade and won't stop. The owner Diego is there year in and year out pushing us to keep on. My husband and I appreciate his support and keeping up a great local gym like this one. Alejandro is there at the front as a constant to greet and help with whatever you need when you get there. The trainers throughout the years have pushed me and encouraged me to not stop. And Stefany has a routine that has me sweating and burning hundreds of calories every class. Update 2: These guys still keep charging me. Latest is for March. I don't know what the hell is going on here. Even though they refunded me for the for the first two months of erroneous charging, more charges keep appearing....

Update: After posting this review, they contacted me and a week later refunded the money. Their explanation was that all my emails had gone into their spam folder. Not really sure I buy this though, since I had also called them, and been at the gym and spoken to an employee that confirmed my cancelation. But posting the review seems to have done the trick.

Decent enough gym, but good luck canceling your membership.
Canceled my membership in October, wrote them, called them and got the cancelation confirmed in person by the person behind the counter. According to the contract, the cancelation period is 30 days. Now it's February, and they are still charging me, even though I have repeatedly called them and pointed this out. My only recourse now is to take it up with the fraud department of my credit card company and that whole song and dance.
You don't need this type of grief in your life. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.
