I’ve been going to this gym for some years now and the best Zumba instructors that you have are DANNY, MABBY & HENRY! There’s never a time where I come to class and I feel like I’m not going to get a good workout when coming to see them. They are exceptional at what they do and LA Fitness should be very thankful and grateful that they have such great Zumba instructors. They not only care about your health but also make sure you have a great time while doing it. I hope that this post gives all three instructors the recognition that they deserve! Outside of being great instructors, they are the most welcoming, loving, compassionate, helpful, instructors that you would ever meet. They make everyone feel comfortable, they dance with you, when they can and give you the greatest boost of confidence. Because of them, I would continue to be a member of LA Fitness.

I am writing this review for the best Zumba teacher ever Danny R! I have been dancing with him for many years now and I highly recommend his Tuesday classes to everyone. Daniel Lopez is an absolutely fantastic Zumba instructor at LA Fitness! I just took my first class with him and was blown away by how engaging and entertaining he made the entire experience.

Daniel has such incredible talent and energy that’s absolutely contagious. What really sets him apart is how he involves everyone in the class and makes you feel completely comfortable, regardless of your fitness level or dance experience. I have been going here now for a couple years. This gym is pretty okay but needs some improvement, I have mentioned this before but nothing changes! The weighs are all over the place nobody puts anything back it’s so frustrating! There is only one of the 20lb weight bar and they won’t get another one! They say we ordered it years ago! I don’t believe that! The other day a woman was in there with half her breast hanging out looked like a bathing suit top! Come on let’s not allow this type of dress it’s not the beach!! Don’t you have any rules about this? I don’t need to see that! People sit on machines and play on their phones for hours! With only a few of certain equipment this should not be allowed! Come on LA fitness you can do some improvement!!!

LA Fitness offers a wide variety of exercise options at an accessible price. I really enjoy group fitness at the Altamonte location, and Olga is a fantastic instructor- no matter how tired I am, her classes are energizing and challenging. She is a lovely lady who takes the time to know her students and walks around the class to offer corrections for safety which is rare (but welcome) in group fitness. She also incorporates combination moves and her non-stop workouts are effective and efficient! My only regret is that I didn’t go sooner☺️

I am only commenting on the Zumba class with Olga Southard not the whole gym. I have been dancing with Olga for almost 20 years and she is the best instructor hands down!

Sure there are others but Olga has the best selection of music, her choreography is easy to follow yet provides a great work out. She explains her moves well and walks around the class giving everyone a personal smile and encouragement during the songs.

Olga has the most welcoming personality! I have gone to other classes with different instructors but I always come back to Olga. She makes me feel like a part of her Zumba family. I highly recommend attending her Zumba classes on Mondays and Wednesdays @ 7pm. She also has Tuesday mornings at 11am for Zumba. She only teaches at the Altamonte Springs location.

Olga also has a great Body Works class on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:45 just before Zumba. I always enjoyed attending those classes as well. I had to stop due to scheduling conflicts.

Well, the pool is now 50% taken over for 4 plus days a week. Apparently, the British Swim School can have private lessons there as well, while paying members of LA fitness just have to deal with it. Nice.

The showers and hot tub are gross. There's a ton of hair in the shower drains and the hot tub looks like it's rarely cleaned, since the white tiles are black by 5pm.

Been going to Esporta now turned to LA fitness since 2023, this place is a well rounded gym with all the equipment you should need to reach your fitness goals. The place is cleaned up well, Sauna and locker rooms are nice and spacious. The staff are helpful and give me no issues when I need to ask questions, recently canceled my membership for a cheaper option and the lady at the counter didn't try to keep me there but offered assistance on how to cancel online. Personally I would recommend the gym.

I’ve been a member of LA Fitness in Montgomery for over a year and also go to Crunch, so I have a good side-by-side comparison. LA might not look as shiny, but it offers a well-rounded gym experience that I think a lot of people overlook. The facility recently went through some much-needed upgrades — the locker rooms are much better now, and the sauna is hands-down the best I’ve found in any local gym. It’s roomy, holds consistent heat, and actually helps with recovery, unlike the underwhelming one at Crunch.
While some of the equipment at LA is older and shows wear, everything still functions. The newer squat and deadlift platforms use ELIKO weights, which I personally prefer over the rubbery plates at Crunch — they just feel better and more stable to lift with. On the flip side, some of the machine plates and dumbbells are pretty beat up, but nothing unusable.
What really sets LA apart is how comfortable it is to train there. It’s rarely overcrowded, even during typical rush hours, which makes for a much less chaotic workout. The staff is always friendly, and I’ve never been pressured about personal training — which is a plus for me. It also has features Crunch doesn’t, like a pool and a basketball court, adding more variety to your routine. If you’re looking for a solid, all-around gym with a calmer atmosphere and great recovery options, LA is worth checking out.

I called to cancel my family membership in November and they said I had to wait until February 15th because they need 90 days notice! Then today 90 days later I get a charge on my card and call in to ask why i'm being charged and they state that I only cancelled my personal membership but not the rest of my family. I'm then told on the phone the schedule of the manager who does the cancellations so that I could call back in when she is available to get it cancelled. they make it impossible to cancel.

I've really enjoyed my time at this gym! Will was super friendly and took the time to show me around, sharing all the details about membership and personal training options. I am totally frustrated, disappointed and somewhat amazed at the lack of customer service at LA Fitness in Altamonte Springs, FL. I am a member through Renew Fitness with my AARP UHC Medicare Advantage plan so maybe since I'm not a regular paying member they just don't care about me. The problem started March 2024 when I came in for the first time and was PRESSURED to buy personal training which I didn't want but ended up buying the personal training classes package for &49.95 per month. After not using the classes (which is why I didn't want them in the first place) I came back to cancel in May 2024 and was told it would be taken care of (but it wasn't). I was informed when I purchased the package that if I cancelled I would have to pay a 50% early cancellation but since I knew I wouldn't use them I was willing to take the loss and count it as experience to never cave in to high pressure sales again. My next month bank statement showed they had taken the $49.95 out again so I went back and this time spoke with the current General Manager at the time (Jesse) who assured me it would be taken care of immediately. It wasn't and LA Fitness has continued to bill me $49.95 per month. I went back Tuesday of this week (1/28.25) and spoke with Ryan (in charge of Personal Training) and explained the situation. I told him that I tried to cancel back in May 2024, then again in June 2024 when I spoke with Jesse the GM. I also told him that I was aware that there was a 50% cancellation charge and I was OK with that and just wanted half of my money back. He had me pay the 50% for February to finalize the cancellation (my last month of the contract) and said he would speak to his VP and see what he could do. I also offered to accept some one on one training in lieu of the money if that would be easier (just something to make me feel like I hadn't been completely screwed). After speaking with his superiors he texted me back and said a refund wasn't possible and there was nothing he could do. So I decided to call LA Fitness customer service and spoke with an agent that basically told me the same thing. He said since I didn't cancel the contract correctly back in May 2024 (which I was unaware of a CORRECT way to cancel) the contract was in force and I wasn't entitled to a refund. I was never advised of the correct cancelation procedure otherwise I would have definitely canceled any way they told me to. The bottom line is LA Fitness has billed me $573.95 ($49.95 x 11 plus $24.50 to cancel the last month). I feel they owe me half of my money back as I'm willing to pay the 50% cancellation fee. It may be only a small amount of money to most people but it's not to me as I'm retired and on a fixed income. I believe LA Fitness still uses high pressure sales for personal training even when you say you don't want it and then when they get you locked into a contract they make it extremely difficult (in my case impossible) to get out of it. They definitely didn't care about making me happy whatsoever and now I'm completely pissed! I plan to make sure everyone is aware of my frustration so hopefully they won't have to experience it themselves.

This location does not appear to be cleaned on a consistent basis. The trash bins are often overflowing, and the wipes to clean the equipment are almost always empty when I visit. The employees lack professionalism and seem to show little care in their work.

Additionally, the pool does not seem to be maintained properly, which is concerning. I love LA Fitness as a brand, but unfortunately, this location does not meet the standards of other locations I’ve visited.

1 year into going to this location I have concluded this is the BEST LA Fitness in Seminole County! Friendly and helpful staff combined with strong leadership managed by Jesse keeps them at the top. I would like to bring to your attention an incident that occurred on Tuesday, 09/03. A member of the management team, identified as Jessie, was observed approaching a client in an aggressive manner, raising their voice and pointing directly at the client's face. Despite the client's courteous response, Jessie persisted in being confrontational and disrespectful. This lack of professionalism and respect was deeply concerning. The client expressed discomfort with the way he was being treated by Jessie. Especially considering that the client has always been courteous to the gym staff and other members. He is known for participating in gymnastics activities. It is disheartening that the client has experienced discomfort due to what appears to be unwarranted attention from Jessie in a negative manner. It is imperative that employees uphold the highest standards of respect and professionalism in their interactions with clients.

I went to this club on a 3-day free pass, which was nice they had that. The gym itself seems to be maintained well aside from the pool/hot tub area, it was dirty and the hot tub was filled with sand, it did not work (no bubbles), and the floors felt very sandy for some reason. The showers in the women's locker room were pretty bad as well. There was no water pressure, the curtain wasn't long enough nor wide enough for adequate privacy, and again.. sand all over the floor... I will not be joining this club.

I've been trying to cancel my plan with LA for more than 2 months, but I can't, because every time I go there, the manager is never there, he can only cancel, it's been 2 months that I've been paying for 2 gyms because LA doesn't let me cancel my plan. Wow! After the switch from Esporta to LA Fitness, they are definitely meeting the new expectations with the GREAT NEW renovations! The equipment upgrades are phenomenal giving a mix of some old and some new. WOW! This gym blew my mind, the renovations are amazing. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. The staff are all super accommodating, especially the managers, Jesse and Nancy. I love this gym!

This is is the most well equipped gym in Central Florida. The free weight area is huge, tons of new equipment you won’t find anywhere else. The manager Jesse is awesome. He will hook you up with a deal and take the time to go out on the floor and teach you things as well. He’s super knowledgeable

Recently joined, really enjoying this gym. It is bright open and spacious, there is a great mixture of young and old, fit and trying to get fit. It isn't filled with posers, just regular people, very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The machines are plentiful and in great condition the free weight section is huge and the pool and kids klub are the icing on the cake. Highly recommend 👌

Love this gym. The staff is super courteous, they always make it a point to greet you when you come in. Even the manager Jesse is super friendly (a lot of other gym managers are blah) Super clean in all areas. They have great selection of classes (Henry’s Zumba classes are the best).

Always tons of equipment out of order and rusted and just out of shape. Place is always dirty…nasty looking floors, pieces of gum stuck in cup holder of equipment, etc.
Cleaning wipes are out as well… paper towels and cleaning spray should return was way more effective way to clean the equipment.

LA Fitness in Altamonte has been my happy place since 2010.
Never is too crowded has everything I need.
I highly recommend!
Plenty of machines, Tons of free weights, Lots of classes, There is a full size basketball court, large lap swimming pool, sauna, locker rooms w/showers.
I just signed up my fiancé and he love it! Super clean, friendly staff,

Jesse the GM was so helpful in helping me set up my account. I was debating on which gym I wanted to go to and he helped me narrow down the benefits LA Fitness has. This gym was relaxed and I didn’t have to fight for equipment. People were friendly enough but focused on their own workout. Would definitely recommend speaking to Jesse if you’re debating about joining. Very happy with my experience.

The gym got remodeled almost a yr ago .. Everything is new. The gym offers a variety of free classes and training; 1 on 1 or groups,HIIT classes, and, of course, for a resonable fee. Have a pool and jacuzzi. Also, they have the hydraulic and power pool chair for those that need it. They offer babysitting for an hour. For $27 dollars a month is great deal.

Just joined yesterday. The manager Jesse was very helpful explaining the various membership options. The facilities are very nice and everyone seems friendly and respectful. I’ve been a member at this facility for 2 and a half years. I’m there at 5 am 3-4 times a week. I love the staff, some members feel like family but mine and many others biggest pet peeves are that when we come in at 5 am the weights are thrown around all over the weight area. We spend a good 15 minutes racking weights when that is not our job! The night staff should be responsible for ensuring that the weights are placed back on the racks.

I have been a member of this location for 4 plus years. I met with the new location manager, Jesse to discuss membership options /programs. He spent 45 plus minutes with me. He focused on matching my goals with different options this location had to offer. His knowledge and expertise helped me pick out the best plan to achieve my goals.
