They had a 3 day free guest pass going on when I got to the gym the 1st day I got in no problem when I came for my 2nd day of the free pass they did not honor it and made me pay $20. When I spoke to the sales manager Alan about a refund he refused to give to me. He said the 3 day pass is invalid while they are running a gym promotion. I said why did you let me in Thursday. He said you were with a friend. I told him you did not explain anything to me about this and you broke your own so called policy. I don’t mind paying for things but you should let people know upfront. Because you let me in Thursday no problem when I come the next time I am expecting it not to be a problem because I have the pass. Alan the manager acted like he did not understand what I was saying and he claimed he told me that the first day he let me in which that was a lie. If he is claiming he told me that my first day then why would come the second day and pay $20. I asked him what is the monthly membership price he said $40 so they are charging $20 for a one day guest pass and the monthly price is $40. If I pay $20 then I should at least get 15 days right? It doesn’t make sense what so ever. The gym is no different from any other in the area.This gym does very shady business BEWARE!! Classic bait and switch

I love the amenities at this gym. The equipment and pool are great. The staff members are very hospitable and pleasant to speak to.

My only critique is they don’t clean the showers regularly. I left Planet Fitness for this gym. Though, the equipment at Planet Fitness was subpar in comparison—-every night they used disinfectant cleaner and a brush to scrub the tile walls and floors of the showers.

At this LA Fitness, I saw the same used string of floss on the same shower handle three days in a row. Yuck.

The staff is incredibly friendly, but I wish they could upgrade, renew, or repair their old equipment. I particularly enjoy the morning workouts, but unfortunately, the weekend sessions are only open at 8 am. If they could open at 6 am, it would be perfect, allowing me to complete my workout and still have most of the day ahead. Additionally, I’m disappointed to learn that the basketball court has been permanently closed. I had signed up for a membership in July, and I was informed that the floors in the back were being repaired. I was excited and patiently waiting, even getting a new basketball ready. It’s just a bit disappointing to find out that the court is no longer available.

I've been coming here for past 5 yrs Tersa has been a truly big help as I come in to have her start my day off with her BIG BRIGHT smile. One thing that resonate with me. Using my LA Fitness app, I sent an invitation to a friend for a 3 consecutive day pass. My friend followed instructions to get a barcoded pass. There was nothing in the info about the pass which limited it's use only to certain clubs. My friend and I met at the Brandon LA Fitness for her to try out the facilities.

Upon entering the club, the monitor refused to honor my friend's guest pass. He said they did not have a promotion event running at this time. He wanted to charge a $20 fee for one time access to the club. He called the manager who said he didn't have time because he was going to meet with the CEO and he would let the monitor handle it. My friend was then refused entry. If a club is not participating in a promotion, the promotion should not include that location in its availability. When accepting the pass, my friend specified locations she could attend and was given the Brandon location.

I believe that turning away potential member is a very poor way to do business. It also seems like bait and switch to advertise a pass within your app and then change to charge $20 to be able to access the club. Bad management!!

Normally I'd give them more stars, but they have female custodians that are constantly wondering around the men's locker room/restroom as if it's no big deal. There are men in there naked, showering, using the urinals, etc. It's a huge invasion of privacy. This would NEVER be allowed if the genders were reversed. I question if this is even legal, but it's definitely not okay. I've complained once and it hasn't changed. If it continues I will be canceling my membership.

The T.V.s don't work. The front door has been fixed after about 2 weeks. I love the basketball court. Seems as if there could be some more of the lighter weights added. The staff is friendly. UPDATE 8/25/25 : Here is curent condition of basketball court . Been like this since last year's hurricanes 2024. This is very disappointing. 75% of the reason I paid for 3 year's up front was for the basketball court.

had a very disappointing experience at this LA Fitness, specifically with Allen, the General Manager. I came in expecting to use a guest pass, something LA Fitness has openly promoted in the past, but Allen was immediately dismissive and rude. He falsely claimed there was no guest pass policy, which I know isn’t true based on corporate guidelines and my past experiences at other locations.

Instead of offering any helpful solutions or even presenting membership options, he simply turned me away at the door with an attitude that was completely unprofessional. There was no courtesy, no effort to accommodate, and absolutely no interest in turning a potential customer into a member.

It’s a shame, because I was genuinely looking to join and invest in my health—but after how I was treated, I’ll be looking elsewhere. I expected better from someone in a leadership position representing a national fitness brand.

I made my first payment at this gym two weeks ago, paying $180 for the initiation. They take your credit card and set up automatic payments. Just two weeks later, they charged me an extra $68 as an annual fee, and I still have to pay $40 next month. He was never told me about the $68 charge after two weeks. I don’t think the staff is honest about the costs. Most of the machines are rusty, and the pool is not working. I’m very disappointed.

I jut wanted to acknowledge a few individual that provided amazing customer service to me when I was going through a hard 2 days. I spoke with Alan and Sarah and they took the time timo speak to me and all of the amenities their particular facility had to offer. They gave me an amazing experience I will never forget. I currently had to put my vehicle in the shop, get a rental, sat on the road for 2 hours to get towed, went hungry and than had school later with no break in between. When I say we need more people like Alan and Sarah in the world and not in just LA Fitness, I really mean it. Hansy is an amazing ZUMBA teacher. She’s the reason I kept showing up, and other members felt the same way. When you have a coach like her, someone who brings energy, inspiration, and real connection to every class, that’s someone worth valuing and holding onto.
Since she left, it’s not just me — a bunch of members have stopped coming too. And it’s not hard to see why. Right now, there are only five group classes a week. That’s what some other gyms offer in just one day.
I really hope the management team takes a step back and sees what’s happening. Members come for community, for motivation, and for instructors like Hansy who make working out something to look forward to. Please bring that energy back. We miss Hansy and her class!

Nice gym gets the job done but here's my issue with them. Recently they have been going back and forth with the esporta then back to LA fitness money grab. They changed to esporta different membership prices but the old la fitness members were still paying a higher rate and shame on you if you didn't change your membership because they wouldn't say a word. Had two memberships but said to self would be cheaper just to add second person as a guest but not so fast. Yes you can do that but the person added cannot go on their own have to be with you smh. Now their back from esporta to la fitness again 😳 I get it lure them in then pull the switch and boom after a certain time put them backwards on a leg press machine and go to work while going for that extra cash membership fee. It's actually genius from a business model point of view the only sketchy greedy rat part is not giving old members a Lil break now and then.

My mom paid for a 3 month membership for me for christmas...i went the day after christmas to update to month to month ongoing..they told me only optiin was 29.98 per month. I asked about the 1999 package advertised and they said if u wanted that ud have to just use the 3 months up and then "hope" the 1999 was still avail in march and then id ha e to pay alk the initiation fees and deposits...he also said the 1999 did not include several amenities contrary to what it was advertised online...he claimed he was the club manager but im.prettt sure by his behavior that was a lie...waiting to hear from corp customer relations..if they make it right fine, but if not i will use uo the time mom paid for and find another gym that doesnt cheat and lie...never offered any walkthrough if the gym either

Just moved to town and needed a gym membership I went to check out this place called Eporta fitness and when I got there I was greeted by The front desk receptionist Who lead me to GM Allen one of the coolest and professional person ever help me with my membership process by explaining The gym amenities and membership options? After 10 mins I didn’t hesitate I knew this the that I wanted to be part of this gym
