I’ve never been in a gym that looks so nice on the inside! They have a beautiful indoor turf area and a huge weightlifting and cardio area, and is always CLEAN. The equipment here for LEG DAY is incredible! The manager, Ron, was very helpful in setting me up with my membership and the rest of the staff has been very friendly! Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking!!!

Do NOT join this disorganized club with NO sauna. Ron the manager is significantly disorganized compared to other LA Fitnesses. I have worked out and been a member at LAF in multiple states including California. This manager assured me I could come back for a three day pass. I came back and found out he activated my pass without telling me. Another associate assured I could have a three day pass to day. Like a food, I came in and was denied by a different associate. Ron only gave me one day to work out. Discrimination. Unprofessionalism. Thank you for wasting a school teacher’s time and stressing me out the weekend before school starts. BYE AND HELLO CRUNCH!! We’re not in LA anymore.

Disappointed by My First Impression as a New Client

I called ahead to ask if I could try a workout at the facility before committing to a membership. The gentleman I spoke with said that would be fine. When I asked how long it would take to go over the facility details, he replied with a confusing comment about workout duration, but I brushed it off and decided to give it a try.

When I arrived, the front desk staff seemed completely unaware of the conversation I had. I explained that I was a potential new member who had called ahead to work out for the day, but the receptionist looked confused and unprepared to handle the situation. It felt as though walk-ins or prospective clients were not a regular occurrence, which left me feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable.

In the end, I decided to leave rather than continue feeling like I was an inconvenience. It’s disappointing—I’m actively looking for a new gym since I’m relocating to the area, and I had high hopes for this facility. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and professionalism at the front desk was a major letdown.

My wife and I noticed someone in Bloomingdale square was having a medical emergency near Chipotle. My wife and I went over to see what was wrong, but were unable to help ourselves as the person could not get up from sitting in the car. I called 911. The operator informed me to have someone ask businesses if they have a defibrillator. I gave these instructions to my wife. She went into Chipotle and they said they did not have one. Then she went into LA fitness and was told by four different people that they have one but could see the ambulance. The LA fitness staff refused to give my wife the difibrulator nor would they go outside with her and take the defibrillator. How disappointing that a health institution did not want help someone that was having a medical emergency.

We just moved to the area & we are very pleased with this gym. It is very clean & the employees are professional, pleasant, & interactive. This is the first time using a personal trainer at any facility. Akeem did a great job explaining & matching me up with master trainer David. I love my sessions! I’m learning so much. Just want to give some kudos to this location. Always greeted with a smile from the time I walk in and the trainers are always willing to assist. But the thing that stands up the most is the cleanliness of this gym location. I travel all over Florida and use LA Fitness as my choice to work out. But no other LA fitness is this clean. I like the gym. I joined it because it was convenient right next to my house. I could walk here. What's getting old is the back machine has been broke going on 2 months now in the sign. Sorry for the inconvenience. Yes it is an inconvenience cuz I pay money to use this equipment and it's broke. How long does it take to hook a cable up? I'm a mechanic for a living. I've looked at the machine myself and I know it's an extremely minor fix so I have to go to the one in valrico to work my back out 5 mi away which is a major inconvenience for myself

While other gyms have opened their doors to help people affected by hurricane Milton to be able to take a hot shower. My family and I were told at LA Fitness that because they have had so many people asking for showers that they are now requiring the purchase of a one day pass for $20.00 to be able to take a shower. Instead of doing something nice for the community they are using it as an opportunity to profit off of others misfortune.

This gym is a great place to work out! The staff is friendly and the gym is pristine. Their personal trainers are very professional and know what they are doing to help you accomplish your physical/ health goals. A big shout out to “Kayla”, my trainer. She prepared me for two 11 mile hikes while in National Parks this past summer. Increased my endurance, strength and balance. Clean,up beat, and welcoming gym! Upon registering my membership on Labor Day weekend, I walked into a pretty busy gym at 830 AM on a Saturday. Greeted by friendly Akeem, he asked if I wanted a quick 30 min workout, as I hesitated to say yes, I relayed I just wanted an easy workout since it has been 6 months since my last workout. he assured me it would be great easy and quick! Those 30 mins sure kicked my butt and gave me the motivation to continue more classes and I was easily swayed into buying some classes at a fair rate! After my first workout class with DAVID, I’m so eager to continue my training and just have a positive outlook on what’s to come with my journey getting back in to the gym. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We visited LA Fitness Brandon in January 2024 and were so impressed by both the facilities and staff that we decided to join that day. It is one of the cleanest and most comprehensive gyms we have been in. Akeem greeted us, toured and explained the facilities, and assigned us to a personal trainer, who has been fantastic. Kayla has tailored our work-outs to fit our specific issues, our ages, and has encouraged us every step of the way. She is well planned out but has always been open to changing the work-outs to help target stretches/exercises that will help our development. Akeem has also always made himself available and offered expertise to help us if specific muscular problems are bothering us. I can't say enough good things about this team and how they have both helped us throughout the last few months. They also take time to educate us about why we are doing each particular workout, the muscles that are affected, and how the exercise will impact us. We both feel stronger and healthier after our workouts and know that this knowledge that we have gained will help us going forward. The only negative I can find about this facility is the attitude of the front desk manager. She tends to be abrupt and rather unfriendly at times. Other than that, my husband and I highly recommend this facility and the trainers.

I joined this gym 4 months ago and have no complaints. The gym is very spacious, lots of equipment, never crowded at times I go, very clean, great personal trainers, nice indoor swimming pool, very spacious and modern locker room, and very helpful and friendly staff. This Gym is very well designed, clean, and not crowded. Akeem was great with providing me an intro to personal training and I ended up signing up for monthly sessions.

Kayla was assigned to be my personal trainer and she is incredibly knowledgeable and very detailed when coming up with my workout plan. In just one month, I am seeing results that I have never seen before. Very thankful for the care and time Kayla has put in to helping me workout around a lot of the issues I have with my back and wrist.

In November 2023 Akeem signed me up for personal training. I had been out of the gym for about 13 yrs.. he assigned me to Sebastian Capote very well mannered and knowledgeable and firm trainer as far as which exercise for specific body muscle. His personality fits this type of job, he answered all my concerns questions and always on top of the time it would take to achieve my goal he taught me the machines and how not to exert myself too much so I don’t get hurt.

This gym is the best LA Fitness I have ever been to. New machines/treadmills and always very clean, even the bathrooms are spotless! The entire sales and front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming, it’s never too busy so you never have to wait on any machines. They have the really nice squat racks that most LA’s are missing. Also the whole sales process of buying their personal training was awesome, they made me feel really comfortable even though I was kind of on the fence about it. I didn’t know that my daughter and I were his first clients and so happy we were paired with him. He is extraordinary, he listens to our concerns and modifies our work outs based on our needs. She’s definitely the one to ask for when you walk in! The facility was very clean and amazing, all the equipment looks so new. I’m new at LA Fitness, started two months ago. My trainer Sebastian did a great job. I have chronic back and shoulder issues which cause pain but Sebastian took his time to figure out the exercises I needed to do to help me become pain free. No basket ball court, c’mon man. Then again, even if it had one it would be packed so no difference. Place closes way too early on weekends and too many cardio machines. Too expensive for what you get but it’s better than kickin it at crunch where a single workout takes 10 hours because there’s 4 people wanting to use the same machine.

I went to this location to cancel my membership because I am moving out of state. The front desk lady said the manager left and she is the only one that could do that. This is extremely difficult for people who works 9-5 jobs. What am I supposed to do ? Get a day off to just cancel my gym membership? My partner canceled his membership with Crunch during his evening workout and there was not issue whatsoever. Unbelievable.

I joined this gym at the end of April this year and have been extremely happy with my experience. The gym is neat and clean. The equipment is new and there are a good variety of machines. It is not as crowded as other gyms in the area. Since I normally work out during peak hours, this was important to me. The staff is always friendly and encouraging. They have even helped me look for my keys when I lost them once. I have also done personal training here. The first trainer I was set up with quit working at the gym rather abruptly. Akeem made sure I was set up with someone else. I have done personal training with Michael and Cassie and both have been pleasant and nice to work with. Josh has been good with answering my questions about membership. The best part is that I feel comfortable and confident using the machines and doing other exercises when I come to the gym to work out by myself as well. Thank you!

The gym is really comfortable. My first impression with Akim was excellent. He is very personable and friendly. I have personal training with Cassie and Michael they are both really good in training and make you feel comfortable. I do zumba with Sheila she is so enthusiastic and energetic and contagious us with the same. Excellent zumba instructor. My overall impression with LA is excellent.

This is probably the nicest LA Fitness I have ever seen! All of the equipment is top-notch, it’s well organized, and most importantly, super clean. Unlike other gyms, it is really spacious and doesn’t get extremely crowded, so you don’t have to worry about “peak” hours. Upon arriving I was greeted by Josh who asked about the type of workouts I do, explained LA Fitness’ amenities, and gave me a tour of the entire gym. I am really impressed by the experience from start to finish, and look forward to working out here! I would recommend this gym to everyone.

Horrible experience with Ahkeem. Will lie and say whatever he needs to you just for you to sign for personal training. Literally asked for my families death certificate for me to pause my personal training. Disgusting experience with him overall.

Best LA fitness in the area. Huge, well maintained location. Widest variety of equipment to include a glute and hamstring developer, which I haven't seen at a crunch, planet fitness, or even the signature LA fitness in South Tampa. Staff is friendly, and the patrons are respectful.

The gym itself is very nice, new, and clean. However, I do not like their aggressive sales tactics.
I came in simply to get pricing and was made to wait for a salesperson who could "give me that information." Once I was given a tour, I was sat down at a computer so he could show me the pricing on the screen. All I wanted was a printout of pricing in order to make an informed decision on a gym as a new resident of the area. I told him that I would need to speak with my husband to discuss the pricing before any decisions were made, and he seemed very unhappy that I would not make a decision then and there. He called to follow up the next day, and when I told him that we had decided to go another direction, he said "well I'm sorry you feel that way and think you're making a big mistake." I get that they probably have sales quotas that they have to meet, but I do not appreciate being talked down to and told that I'm wrong for not choosing to go with their gym.

I am a member of an LA Fitness in Pennsylvania and was visiting family in Tampa, FL. Being a member, how couldn’t I visit another LA Fitness. I can not lie this LA exceeded my expectations. All new machines, the cleanliness and environment spoiled me. The utilization of the square footage amazed me. My home gym is a bit bigger then this LA but yet we have less machines. It honestly made me want to move to Florida. Keep up the great work.

The membership is not worth the money. The gym offers good workout machines but is very poor at pricing. You pay for your first and last month upfront with extra fees on top of that. not to mention that 2 weeks after signing up you pay another $53 for an "annual fee." I also keep randomly getting charged throughout the week, when I have not been there nor is it the end of the month. I would save your money and go else where!

Great place to work out! LOTS of equipment and multiples of highly used items so you can spend your time working… not waiting. They have everything you could ever want, which should meet the needs of someone just starting out to the hardcore workout enthusiast. Haven’t taken a class yet, but have done a few personal training sessions (with two trainers). Loving the workouts with Mike who is absolutely amazing and helping me to achieve my fitness goals. If you’re on the fence about signing up, I highly recommend this facility… you get a lot for a very reasonable price.
