I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the lack of responsibility and commitment the gym has shown regarding the maintenance and availability of its facilities. For several months now, essential amenities such as the pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna have been out of service for extended periods, with no clear solution or effective communication provided to members.

Despite these ongoing issues, members continue to pay the full monthly fee, which is unfair considering that we do not have access to all the services we signed up for. Additionally, each week the reopening of the sauna is delayed even further, and the steam room remains indefinitely closed without explanation or alternative options offered.

As a loyal member who consistently pays my dues, I believe LA Fitness should demonstrate greater consideration toward its members by communicating transparently about the reasons and realistic timelines for repairs, offering discounts or compensations while services remain unavailable, and ensuring proper maintenance that reflects the quality promised at the time of enrollment.

I’m extremely disappointed with how LA Fitness handled the cancellation of my personal training program. I want to start by saying that my personal trainer was excellent, the front desk staff was always welcoming, and the lady who helped with my regular gym membership was great and respectful.
However, once I began school and life became more complicated, I could no longer continue with the personal training sessions. When I went to cancel both my memberships on May 20, 2025 , the woman in charge of regular memberships assisted me immediately and professionally. Unfortunately, the man responsible for training sales and cancellations treated me with complete disrespect.
He told me he needed to “text his manager” to start the cancellation process. When I asked for the manager’s name or contact information, he refused to give it to me. I returned a week later and got the exact same excuse — no formal communication, no email, just vague claims that he was using WhatsApp to reach out. Meanwhile, my trainer kept calling me, clearly unaware of any attempt to cancel. There was no paper trail or proof of his communication.
When I explained my situation and why I needed to cancel, he pressured me to stay, saying things like, “It’s just five months, you should just stay,” instead of helping me. He kept on asking me personal information about my school and how many years I had left to finish it. He continually dismissed my concerns and made no effort to assist with the cancellation. I had to escalate the issue and contact corporate directly. Only then, the next day, was I finally able to cancel my memberships.
To make matters worse, during a phone call, he jokingly said, “I should throw a dumbbell at your head.” Whether it was meant as a joke or not, it was highly inappropriate and unprofessional. I also witnessed him pressuring another customer, a woman who clearly stated she couldn’t afford even the basic training plan. He dismissed her decision by saying, “That’s your health, not mine,” in a very rude tone.
On top of everything he stated that “ I explained you everything and is here in the communication that I placed”. Now, the truth is that he never explained such a thing to me.

**This kind of aggressive, manipulative sales behavior is not only unprofessional but, in my opinion, unethical. No member should be made to feel intimidated or pressured when they’re simply trying to cancel a service they can no longer afford or use. I hope LA Fitness takes these complaints seriously and enforces more respectful, transparent, and professional practices in their clubs.**

Cuando pedí información me pidieron que pusiera mi Review y lo puse porque la atención fue buena, sin embargo el problema vino después ya que C, me dieron un supuesto tiempo de prueba y aunque ellos debían esperar a que yo lo probara ellos cargaron a mi tarjeta todo el costo. If I could give this gym 0 stars I would . I tried to cancel my subscription with them because I didn’t enjoy my experience , the place is outdated and run down . I went in person twice and wasn’t able to cancel it because they make you come in only when the manager is there to cancel it between the hours that a normal person is busy at work . This is done on purpose so you can’t cancel it and they can keep charging you. You can’t cancel online or over the phone. I couldn’t even get my money back with the bank because they showed that there was no cancelation . OFCOURSE BECAUSE THEY DIDNT LET ME . Please save your money , go somewhere worth it . The pool is tiny , the gym is old and crusty.

Just wanted to say I understand that this place will be relocating but I have been coming here for a long time because its close to my house I am looking for another location because this place is not upkeeping with their equipment. Everything is old, run down, some broken and some only have 1 of its kind. Prices keep going up and it looks horrible. The parks gym looks better. I can’t believe it’s $45/mo for a membership. This is a small, very old gym with old equipment. There is only 1 or 2 squat racks, 2 flat benches, etc.

The sauna is big but people walk in and out every 2 minutes so it’s basically imposible for the room to reach an ideal temperature for a sauna.

Idk if this is a popular location for meet ups…. But I’m just a girl tryna work out and if u come here during 5pm-8pm expect ppl to just be holding conversations with their friends while hogging the machines and not using them!!! Then when asked r u using this they say yes and continue with their conversation for a good 10 mins before getting back to their workout!! This gym needs an upgrade and more machines

It's just ok. I signed up a month ago and for that entire time, the showers have had no hot water. Because of my schedule, I have to workout and shower then head to work so I've taken freezing cold showers a few times and it's just not doable. I don't think it's fair that I am paying for certain amenities and one of them is not being provided. I'm wondering if maybe they are going to close this location and are just not concerned with fixing things due to that.

I am deeply disappointed by the treatment my mother-in-law and her son, who has Down syndrome, received during a recent Zumba class. They were excited to join the class and have some fun, but unfortunately, their experience was marred by the discriminatory behavior of the instructor, Jessica R.

From the moment they walked in, it was clear that Jessica was not welcoming or accommodating. She made dismissive comments and seemed irritated by their presence. Throughout the class, she singled them out, making them feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Instead of fostering an inclusive environment, Jessica’s actions made them feel like they didn’t belong.

What makes this situation even more heartbreaking is that Andres is an exceptional individual who faces each day with determination and effort. He has no limitations when it comes to his ability to participate in activities like Zumba, and he deserves to be treated with the same respect and inclusivity as any other member. The gym would be proud to have someone like Andres, who embodies perseverance and positivity, as part of their community.

It’s heartbreaking to see someone treated so poorly, especially in a space that should be supportive and inclusive. I hope this gym takes this matter seriously and ensures that all of their instructors are trained to be respectful and inclusive of everyone, regardless of their abilities. I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone who values kindness and respect.

Tienen unas strategies de marketting pesimas engañando a la gente para presionarlos a inscribirse.
Me mude a esta Zona hace poco y queria buscar un gym que tuviera una correcta relacion costo beneficio y decidi tomar el dia de prueba para verificar el mejor. Estuve micho tiempo en LA fitness y era muy bueno pero mas costoso que otros.
Hice mi pase de prueba por internet y saliendo de mi casa me llamó un personal del gym a ofrecerme inscribirme, vió que yo era afiliado antes y toda mi informacion y me dijo que me esperaban.
Al llegar me dicen que por haber sido afiliado no puedo tener pase de un dia, y que me sentara para escuchar los planes para que me inscribed.
No me importa si el dia es gratis o no, si habia que pagar el dia lo hubiera hecho, pero con engaños me hicieron ir, para verme obligado a inscribirme.
Me hacen perder el tiempo. Que poco eticos, no tienen nada de costumer service. Hay mas gimnasios y todos asisti sin problemas, no tienen nada que no haya en otro gimnasio. No me gustan los engaños, a mi que me hablen Claro desde el inicio. Me voy a inscribir a un gym pero nunca volveré a LA fitness
