There are a number of machines that don't have the pins so you can use the machine. There are a number of machines that are broken that have been broken for quite a while.The members are slobs they do not clean up after themselves after using the machines that is unhealthy and unsanitary. The weights are all over the floor there are a lot of weights that are missing there's a bunch of the easy curl bars that are missing nobody racks their weights. You cannot find matching dumbbells a lot of them are missing or members and bringing them elsewhere and not bringing them back. the guy at the front desk is too busy talking to the clients rather than doing his job. There is this one girl she continues to I don't know what she's doing training these bunch of girls inside of where the heaven bag is from my understanding that wasn't aloud. The guy that does the maintenance he's too busy trying to pick up the members I literally just witnessed it. This gym is disgusting and despicable I blame this song on ownership of this gym. I paid $49.99 a month plus a $39 annual fee I'll be looking for another gym

Disappointed i signed a membership… i was so happy to find a gym so close to my house and i didnt even think about trying the machines first… the machines are in bad shape old and rusted… the dummbells are all over the place and missing …if u can find the different handles for the cables ill give u a million dollars almost got into a fight because i didnt realize people bring there own to the gym doesnt have any or they are mia… i just hope the other locations are better at this point id drive an hour away its not what im used to and i been working out at gyms 30 years + this might be one of the worst maintained. I am extremely disappointed with LA Fitness. They took money out of my account without my approval and tricked me into signing a contract I was told would be for only 3 months — but it ended up being for 9 months. This is completely unacceptable and feels dishonest. I was not properly informed about the terms, and when I tried to fix the issue, the staff gave me the runaround instead of helping.

I trusted this gym, but now I feel taken advantage of. If you’re thinking about joining, be very careful with what you sign and double-check everything before agreeing. I would not recommend this gym to anyone.

I don’t workout here because the machines are old, rusty and broken. Just use it every now and then for the sauna and shower, but the two handicap showers have been broken for months now. There is no hand held shower available.

It’s a shame that with all the new gyms popping up that La Fitness hasn’t tried to do anything to actually compete. Most of their locations here in south Florida are old and run down to the ground. This is why I’ll never be a fan of individual franchises. EVER !!!! Some subtle renovations and equipment upgrades should be required after every few years. I really think that they need a class action lawsuit for collecting yearly maintenance fees and then never really maintaining anything.

Also, I get tired of hearing the cleaning lady loud talk on her phone every time that I’m here trying to use the sauna. It’s annoying and unprofessional.

Update : Handicap showers are still broken since I first wrote this review several months ago. Sauna is never really that Hot and people always complaining about it. I just would like to know why they haven’t fixed anything yet or gotten a new operating manager.

I usually go to the Cooper City location, which closes at 10 PM on Fridays, so I assumed this gym had similar hours. I arrived a little after 8 PM and wasn’t informed at the front desk that they close at 9. I only found out when staff seemed a bit impatient as I was finishing up. A quick heads-up at check-in would’ve been helpful. It’s a small thing, but it makes a big difference, especially for members who don’t visit this location often.

One of the worst LA locations in Palm beach county. Which is a shame because it’s a relatively newer and cleaner location that could be among the best. The problem is management takes no effort to fully equip the gym. Things break, stay broken for a month, then they slap a cheap fix on it that breaks again in a week. Clip on equipment for the cable machines is so minimal it’s a Miracle to find something to do your workout with, and even then half the time the carabiner is missing anyway. The biggest joke of all is in the entire 10 years I’ve been here they’ve been missing 2 bench/squat bars. So on a crowded day you can’t even use 2 benches to bench. Never seen a gym short bars. They’ve been short 2 for a decade. Whoever’s in charge of equipping the gym should be embarrassed they let what should be one of the best locations get so terrible just to get in a basic workout. Might as well cancel my membership for a cheap one that probably has more working equipment.

JASON, the personal trainer is a MOVIE STAR/ROCK STAR. He sculpted my body with his personal training help. He is a master trainer and is extremely knowledgeable in physiology. He puts the weights on for you so you don't hurt yourself before you start. He is an expert in free weights and machines.
I was in a walker 5 years ago. I couldn't do a pull up. I got lucky and Jason was assigned to me at LA fitness in Delray Beach Florida as my personal trainer for 6 months (which ended up almost being a year and hopefully I can continue having his training because he may be too busy for me if he even remembers me after this post 🤠) and he motivated me and helped me get over the wall. I can do 6 pullups and many other exercises and machines now and my back and mind feel stronger.

The La fitness in Delray Beach is great.
It is always clean and they have a juice bar and a basketball court, sauna fitness classes, whirlpools and regular swimming pools.

Once again, if you need a personal trainer Jason's the man.💪

warning/disclaimer: Make sure you have life insurance before you sign up for this location.
1. Weight’s and dumbells are never at its place, you can find them anywhere in floor.
2. Machines never get fixed and still being used. Ensure to bring your own safety kit.
3. No management or staff in the floor so make sure to have some one older around you if you are below 18.
4. Front desk is always busy with paper works or flirting, so cant rely on them.
5. Caution: you can find worms in toilet area and fish in the pool.
6. LA fitness charges maintence fees within the first two months for no reason.

My fiancé and I signed up for the 3 day free pass, got a call about coming in before it expires on the 29th of march. Went to check in, and got pulled into an office and was told we have to sign up in order to use the free pass. Before blowing someone phone up to use that free pass, how about including the fact that you need to pay before using that pass. I'll be going to another gym where a free pass is free without the hassle. The purpose of a free pass is to give the gym a chance before making a commitment. I'm good.

I am extremely disappointed with LA Fitness. The gym is not well maintained, with rusted equipment and an overall lack of upkeep. However, the biggest issue is their unethical billing practices and lack of accountability.

I froze my account in February of last year and later officially canceled in April. Despite this, I have continued to be charged monthly. Even after multiple attempts to resolve the issue, the charges have not stopped. Now, nearly a year later, I am being told that I owe additional money with no clear explanation.

This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I strongly recommend avoiding LA Fitness. Their handling of memberships and billing demonstrates a lack of transparency and ethical business practices. Just take a look at all their 1 star reviews. This place has gone downhill.

READ.. This LA fitness is the worst one in South Florida. All the cardio equipment are extremely worn out, and all the StairMasters steps are all cracked and broken, and they won't replace them. I've even told them multiple times that on the machines and benches they are very loose and just need to be tightened down but they won't do it until it gets to the point were it breaks. Once it does it takes them 2-6 months to fix it or to get a new machine. They just don't care that all the pads and grips are torn and ripped.

Horrible experience, my wife has been a member for about 5 years, she almost never goes as we always use the one in our complex, we decided to give it a try and use the “VIP guest passes” for me and a friend who was visiting and realized those guest passes don’t work, even though we selected the specific location we were planning to go they still said we had to go to the location where my wife signed up ( in another city ), it’s just a strategy to bring you in and try to sell you the membership and since they realize we were not going to buy it they were trying to give us a hard time, after arguing with the guy he allowed us to get in, making it sound as if he was doing us a favor, the place is not properly maintained, equipment is old and broken. This is one of the most run down clubs i have ever been to and i've worked out across the country with my membership over 25 years. So many machines regularly don't for repair and all cardio equipment is disgustingly rusted. You can tell there's just been no investment in this gym, as acknowledged by the employees there as well. I will say it's a comprehensively equipped gym, but you can probably catch something off the equipment - definitely doesn't seem like the equipment is wiped down regularly. Disappointing form a club i've belonged to for such a long time and upon relocating to Delray Beach. The place is not "dirty" per say, locker rooms are well kept it seems but the equipment is just run down / grimy and the place is dingy / not energizing.

The gym is showing its age. Wanted to join yet the condition and age of the equipment is really poor. The free weights were unorganized. The vinyl is ripped on most equipment. The floors, carpets and weights were filthy. Nobody wipes their space after use so the sweat is pretty obvious as you use the benches etc. They need a complete revamp to make it worthwhile to join. Price is not the only factor to become a member. I don’t like to throw businesses under the bus, but maybe this will get their attention.

Where to start? This gym desperately needs a complete renovation—from the roof to the restrooms. Almost every machine is covered in rust, and some cardio equipment squeaks loudly during use. There are only two sets of 10 pounds and 12.5 pounds dumbbells, and I'm not exaggerating. Even the bars on the dumbbells are rusted. The roof has multiple leaks, resulting in buckets scattered throughout the gym from August to October, and parts of the ceiling are starting to collapse. The punching bags are missing entirely, and the seats near the front door are in such poor condition that the vinyl has worn away and they emit a terrible odor. Additionally, the studio floor could use more frequent cleaning.

The only redeeming aspect of this gym is the staff who work early in the morning.

It would also greatly benefit from having an overnight crew to clean and organize all the equipment.

I am only posting one photo that says it all.

One review even describes this location as having "state-of-the-art installations," which is a massive exaggeration. Run down dump. Treadmills are rusting bad and shake over 4 mph. Very old models even feel unsafe running on them. Lovely plaza with all essentials: Publix, Marshalls, Ross, Michaels. The restaurants keep closing and changing. We loved the movie theater here which became LA fitness. We miss the movie theater. Parking is quite limited also it is difficult to drive in and out with limited entrances.

I’m here on vacation from out of state. I really wanted a decent place where I could get a good lift on so I went here thinking I could get that but I was wrong so I signed up for a free trial because if I do decide to move down maybe my wife and I would take this into consideration. 1. The staff looked miserable every single of the employee working there looked sad. 2. It looks extremely nice outside and the inside is fairly clean but the equipment is rusted out almost like it was from the 90s almost like a cheap hotel fitness room. You would think that it would be in decent shape considering how big the company is. I understand weights get rust on them but this isn’t a body builder type gym. 3. the bench press and squat rack I could not find one clip to hold the weights on the bar for the life of me. god forbid one of the weights slides off the bar because it isn’t t secure. I guess that’s what the waiver is for right? 4. There was no emphasis on having the patrons wipe down the equipment, they would just get off the cardio machines or weights and move on leaving it for the staff the clean up. That’s including the Matt’s. Personally I’m not a fan or ringworm. This has nothing to do with the staff or the company, but MANY not all but alot of the people that were working out there seemed arrogant and lacked good gym etiquette. It was not a comfortable space. I didn’t go into the locker rooms, sauna, or pool but I had already seen enough. Sadly I will not be finishing up the rest of the 3 day trial. I went and purchased a decent travel workout set. Compared to my gym back home this doesn’t compete and really needs a complete overhaul. I really debated on leaving this review because i don’t like leaving these kinds of reviews but it had to be said.

I’ve been to several gyms, and while LA Fitness in Delray Beach has a decent layout and selection of equipment, I think it falls short in maintenance and cleanliness. Many of the machines are overdue for a deep cleaning, which can make using them feel less inviting. Additionally, several machines need servicing. There are at least 6 broken machines in just this picture alone. With a bit more attention to upkeep, this gym could be a much better experience overall. For now, I’d say it’s just okay, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Smallest LA Fitness I have ever worked out at. Worn out, old crappy equipment. You can tell this equipment is the same old equipment when they opened the gym 10 years ago. They have little to no extensions for the multi use machine. You have to hunt for ropes or curl bars!! They have a bicep curl machine that has been torn up for 3 months !!! I have never seen a machine stay ripped up for this long??? Staff is friendly otherise they get NO stars. Check out somewhere else. I am already about to cancel.

You would think this gym would keep their equipment updated. Specially being around so many competing gyms. The equipment here is beat up and old. Looks like nothing has been updated since this place has been open. I moved to Delray from Pembroke Pines which updated their gym recently. Delray Beach La fitness is long overdue.

Try to cancel your membership.....if you have time and don't work that is (m-f 9 to 5) not kidding...or by mail. Gym is ok but gets extremely crowded at times even for its size. A good amount of the machines have grips that are either torn or missing or basically worn off. The members are terrible at putting free weights and plates back where they belong and leave them scattered throughout the gym. Won't be a member much longer

Just joined after moving to town from up north. So happy with the relaxed environment. The sign up / enrollment process was headache free and a breeze. The main reason to come to the gym is to get a workout in with Fritz. He adds a fun banter and charm to a hard workout. Teaching you how far your body can actually go and what you can improve on while feeling supported and not like you’re at boot camp.

The gym could use some upgrades to the machines - like everywhere else. One upgrade they got right was Fritz as a trainer. 10/10.

I've been an LA Fitness member since I was 18yo. I have worked out all over the USA. It's like LA Fitness is still operating under COVID rules. The gyms are dirty, no child care, broken equipment, and NO PINS. I don't blame the staff. It's corporate cuts. The Signature clubs are still okay but still not as good as they were prior COVID. Why?

Update as of 8/26/24. Well Frank the manager at LA in Delray. Here it is (photo below) the exact size and brand of the 4 month missing pin from the Lateral Raise machine available from Amazon over night for 15.98. That puts a $2000 machine out of service for several months now. There’s no way you can make sense of this🤪

This place is in such an utter condition of dis repair it’s beyond belief. They are so cheap and don’t care enough to even purchase a few pins (at least 5 missing) that many of the machines cannot be used. EOS gym can’t come in fast enough. They are basically begging to be put out of business by EOS who’s building 100 new gyms in Florida! 👍

Gym needs some remodeling - not worth the money to work out on rusty machines and to head back to stinky + worn down locker rooms in the back. The PF across the street has newer equipment that is in better condition.

The management of this location also only reply and acknowledge positive reviews… and pass over critical feedback they need to act on.

I wish there was more attention and care given to loyal members with concerns or suggestions to this particular gym.

The equipment is lacking, and the ones that are available are falling apart. That becomes so frustrating especially when the gym is packed and you are limited on what you can use due to availability.
Example: there are 2 leg curl machines… 1 of them has always had the bar uneven at the ankles due to wear and tear. Today this same machine was jammed and unable for usage. Why can’t they replace these machines that are clearly not functional? You have a lot of people attending the gym at the same time, so lack of money coming in can’t be it.
Cable Machines: you have 3 or 4 cable machines, but each have a missing hook and unable to use bcus there’s no way to hook anything to it… some have a severe creaking noise, let’s add oil to it!
Stair master: on the machines that work properly, some of the steps are severely cracked. It will cause a severe injury to someone who is new and unaware. But no action has been taken to fix them. And to be clear, out of 6 machines maybe at best 3 of them work properly with all functions.. ON A GOOD DAY!

For the amount of trainers who walk around, you would think they would have better attention and care to their workplace. Of course members should always put away their weights after use, but let’s be honest.. they don’t. It takes time to locate dumbbells bcus they are scattered everywhere in the gym. And these complaints of old or unusable equipment would be something they notice too, if they cared to report it.

A safety concern: there is a child who runs freely through the gym with no supervision. I believe the parent or guardian works a class at the gym, and I understand not having a sitter.. but it’s not an appropriate setting to have your kid run in and out between people, who are throwing weights around not noticing the child.

This gym has potential… they just need someone to care for this location. As I said it DOES have traffic. It shouldn’t be this neglected.

I got a call from the staff about a fitness profile I'm not interested in and I stated I wasn't interested in the fitness profile. The caller became adamant and abrasive over the fact I didn't want to do the profile. I have been a dedicated member of LA Fitness for over 20 years, and while the locations and size of the facilities are impressive, I have concerns about the lackluster equipment and the level of attention given to members by the executive team.

Despite my numerous attempts to reach the executive team with valid concerns, it seems that my feedback has fallen on deaf ears. LA Fitness may feel entitled due to their great locations in California and Florida, but it's crucial for them to pay more attention to members' needs, especially those who have been loyal and consistent in their memberships.

As a member who never misses payments and is on auto-payment with multiple accounts, I believe that LA Fitness should prioritize upgrading their equipment in a timely manner. While the current locations may be popular, it's essential for the company to invest in modern and functional equipment to ensure a better workout experience for all members.

Overall, LA Fitness has the potential to improve by listening to and addressing the concerns of long-time members like myself. It's important for them to take notice and make necessary improvements to retain loyal customers and continue providing a top-notch fitness experience.
