Gym as a whole is good. But the clientele is terrible and have awful gym etiquette.

No one puts weights away, there's plates everywhere, nothing gets wiped down. Either hire someone to baby sit everyone / put things away or police your clientele and punish people for having terrible gym etiquette.

LA Fitness Doral – Disgusting Sauna Alert 🚫
The sauna is hands down the most revolting place I’ve ever seen in a gym. The floor looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months (!) People walk in with their filthy shoes like it's a sidewalk — ignoring the "take off your shoes" sign that's basically just there for decoration.
It’s a breeding ground for warts, fungus, bacteria, and probably worse.

If LA Fitness has no intention of cleaning it, they should just label the sauna a health hazard and call it a day. Stop putting up useless signs and pretending like hygiene is even on your radar.

I’m attaching photos so you know I’m not exaggerating. You've been warned..

Worst LA Fitness I have ever been to. The younger man front desk employee is super disrespectful and doesn’t know how to communicate with the members of the gym. No one cleans or organizes the weights throughout the whole gym. When the trainers are not training someone they’re usually too busy flirting with girls or sitting at the smoothie bar. This place is a paradise. The front desk is friendly and patient, the staff are informative and helpful, and there's even a unique bar where you can get fruit smoothies. The fitness center is comprehensive, with separate cardio and strength areas, and the people here are all so kind.

I went to the Doral LA Fitness for a Sunday swim workout. The locker rooms, showers, and pool deck were very clean as there was an attendant mopping the floor. The pool and showers are desperately in need of a renovation. With many of the older LA Fitness clubs, the pools need work. This pool had gutters, but the normal pool depth is only three feet, which on this day it was a little lower than normal fill making it difficult to do flip turns. The bottom of the pool also needs some work as the paint is chipping off. This pool doesn't have a normal sized lane center lines and the T warning for the wall flip is a little bit closer than normal. Unfortunately it is a common issue across most La Fitness facilities. The facilities are 15-20 years old and in dire need of updates and renovations. This particular LA Fitness pool could be much better for lap swimming if it had another 1/2 to 1 foot more water depth.

Quiero compartir la diferencia que hicieron hoy dos personas del gimnasio en Doral. En general, he sido crítica de varios aspectos del gimnasio, sin embargo hoy dos personas marcaron una gran diferencia.

Julio César, un entrenador, pasó junto a mí y se tomó el tiempo aun sin ser yo su cliente de corregir mi rutina de manera positiva. Primero me señaló lo que estaba haciendo bien y luego me indicó cómo podía mejorar. En más de un año perteneciendo a este gimnasio, nunca había recibido este tipo de atención de un trainer, y siempre lo había esperado.

Cuando le compartí mi feedback a Raúl, el manager de trainers, fue muy receptivo y además se tomó el tiempo de explicarme otros ejercicios sobre los que tenía dudas.

Ambos marcaron una diferencia para mí, y quiero reconocerlo públicamente, porque nunca había visto a un entrenador en este gimnasio actuar así. Creo incluso que podría ser muy valioso establecer turnos rotativos de entrenadores que no estén atendiendo clientes, ya que acciones como estas elevan la experiencia.

Como agente de real estate, sé lo bien que se siente recibir valor en el trato sin esperar nada a cambio. Hoy Julio César y Raúl lo hicieron conmigo, y por eso lo quise compartir. Estaba a punto de suspender mi suscripción, y gracias a ellos decidí darle otra oportunidad.

I am not trying to be a pain in the butt , but I have paid for my gym membership every month since about 7 years ago . I can’t believe what is happening lately . I am doing my work out and at 10:30 pm lights started to shut down , why ?? If I am lifting and it’s dark anybody can get an accident , when everyone started screaming then lights went back on . At 10:52 lights went completely off , this is a liability issue , I just bumped into a weight after that , and it’s happening everyday during the night shift . What is going on in here ? is LA fitness paying their employees until 10:30 pm ? Or 10:52 pm or 11 pm ? It’s not the first time ! Training you employees for safety is vital , having 230 pounds in your shoulder is not funny when lights keeps going on and off ! Lights need to go off at 11:00 pm not blinking lights at 10:30 or turning them off at 10:52 pm, last week same thing. You don’t believe me ? Check the videos . I work very hard until 9 pm and it’s thro boy time I have available to come to the gym , but if you guys are going to continue to jeopardize my safety , let me know so I can find another gym . Can management do something about this ? Thanks .

My experience at this gym was terrible. The machines were dirty, the bathrooms were disgusting, and there was a complete lack of maintenance. It’s super expensive, and the worst part is they won’t stop calling you once you decide to leave and switch to another place. If you leave your card on file, it’s a nightmare—they’ll try to charge you no matter what, without caring about customer satisfaction or whether you’re comfortable or not. I left and I’m not planning on coming back.

Another thing: there are cliques of people who train together, and some trainers save machines for their groups and won’t let others use them.
There are very few machines, hardly any dumbbells, and it’s a constant struggle to use them or even find them. Honestly, don’t even think about signing up here. I don’t understand how a franchise like this has such old and rusty equipment.

I have been a member since 2008 but Today at around 10:20 am while I assisted to the Gym your employee Omar Rodriguez illegally processed a transaction on my credit card for the amount of $48.00 on a membership that was not mine.

He approached me at my arrival to gym and asked me to update my method of payment. When I replied my membership was not due, he insisted and I proceeded to update my method of payment.

When I questioned Omar Rodriguez, he proceed to mocked and argue with me, elevating his tone and exclaiming that if I was calling him a liar. He than proceeded to tell me to do what ever I wanted and turned his back on my face.

This type of behavior is unacceptable and members should not be exposed to such unprofessional personnel. Specially when part of their salaries come from LA fitness clients. We are not in a third world country where this is accepted. Customer service should be by far the most important and professional ways of directing to clients is the least LA Fitness should offer.

This facility really needs attention and renovation. The cycling bikes are outdated, with many no longer working, and the floor in the class room is visibly worn and dirty. The bathrooms and water fountains are also old — one fountain has even been out of order for weeks.

It’s disappointing, because the instructors here are outstanding and always friendly. With such a dedicated team, it’s a shame that management hasn’t prioritized maintaining the space or addressing customer concerns.

Investing in updates would truly elevate the experience for everyone and reflect the high quality of the staff. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements soon.

Nada, un momento bien desagradable por un incidente con Tiffany V. (Instructora de Zumba), su falta de ética fue exponencial, se esmeró maltratando a algunos Clientes que esperaban por una Clase posterior a la de Ella. If I could give zero stars, I would. This location is a complete mess. They sold me something that wasn’t what they promised, and when I tried to cancel, they made it nearly impossible. I was told I had to come in before 5 PM in person to cancel. I arrived at 4 PM, only to be told the manager "wasn't there."

Then the story kept changing. First, they said the manager was a man, then suddenly it was a woman, and then some random sales guy pretended to be the manager. Total circus. No one takes responsibility, and the staff had a serious attitude the whole time.

They clearly count on people giving up so they can keep charging you. This place is shady and unprofessional — the biggest estafa I’ve experienced.

Please do yourself a favor: save your money and go somewhere else. There are plenty of gyms that respect their members. LA Fitness Doral is not one of them.

I have been a member of L.A. Fitness since 2013. I changed my debit card, but the payment could not be processed. Yesterday, they told me that I could not use the gym until I put in a new card, which I had to wait until today to present. I used the gym app to put it in and as soon as I arrived at the gym, the person at the front desk reprimanded me for doing it online, saying that it made them lose money. I recommend that people in general not visit that club, since they will most likely have a bad time since it is the collections manager, the person who had that hostile attitude with me.

Son unos estafadores! Fui a inscribirme por 1 mes, tuve que pagar 2, no te avisan que tienes que pagar un fee anual y cuando vas a reclamar no hay manera de revertir ese fee que te cobraron sin avisarte, cosa que si avisan desde un principio uno no se inscribe. Tampoco te avisan que debes desuscribirte para no continuar a pesar de que avises que solo quieres estar 1 mes, por lo tanto te llevarás la sorpresa de que te cobran un mes más sin tu consentimiento.

I was trying to become a new member and truly experience it by myself. So, I got the 3 free day pass to experience the location. Got here and got asked if I been here before and I said yes but As a guest not a member, which I’m trying to become at this location. The guest pass says “Redeemable by non-members only”…. I am not a member and never have been and most likely never will be after this. but yet Got told they couldn’t let Me workout because I have been to an LAFITNESS before and kept pressuring me that the only way to workout was to buy the plan or to pay for the day pass. No Consideration at all. Honestly lost business And just a customer trying to workout. This was on Wednesday, 30th of April at 4:30pm. Really disappointed, they are a joke, for work reasons I will be in Miami for more than 12 months and after receiving several offers by email I decided to resume my training at Lafitnes, I receive an offer of 3 free days and I decide to accept it to see the Doral location, when I arrive at the place they do not allow me to enter after having scanned the QR code that I received, the guy at the entrance tells me that I need to speak first with a saleswoman named Maria Bravo, after exchanging a few words he tells me that he cannot give me the free pass that I previously received online because I have never been a member of this location, how? Why? I received a free pass to see the location that best suits me, and this lady tries to continue wasting my time by explaining membership issues that really don't interest me at this moment. My idea was to get to know the place, train, and feel free to buy my membership again just like I had before moving out of state. This lady yelled at me and said that I was rude, crazy, my experience was very bad, and for me, lafitness with this attitude lacks seriousness as a company.

I’ve been to many LA Fitness locations, but the Doral gym stands out by far as the cleanest and most well-managed. Jose Diaz Torres does an incredible job maintaining hygiene throughout the facility machines, locker rooms, and common areas are always spotless. His dedication to cleanliness truly enhances the overall gym experience.

Additionally, Omar management is top-notch. His leadership fosters an environment where staff are not only professional but also incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere here makes working out enjoyable, and it’s clear that both hygiene and customer satisfaction are top priorities.

On the other hand, the LA Fitness in Coral Way is the complete opposite atrocious cleanliness . The difference between these two locations is night and day.

If you’re looking for a clean, well-managed, and welcoming gym, I highly recommend the Doral location. Kudos to Jose and Omar for setting the standard!

Male manager was continuing to park in the Expecting mother’s spot. I would call corporate they really didn’t do anything. If the expecting mother’s spot was taken he would take a handicap spot for his Mercedes. he doesn’t have a handicap plate or anything hanging. Bald manager who always tried to intimidate you. I’ve been going to LA Fitness for 18 years. I have a multi club membership. This is by far the worst gym I’ve ever trained at. The whole place is old and run down and needs a makeover like yesterday. The gym floor, particularly the free weights area looks like a bomb went off. Dumbbells and plates everywhere. People don’t seem to mind. I do! On top of it, the space itself is super small and crammed with equipment, making it very easy to find yourself in a tight spot or super close to people. The crowd itself is weird. Zero gym etiquette. Expect to be starred at while warming up or people asking you silly questions in the middle of your set, while having your headphones on. Some men are very standoffish. Definitely had to avoid a few possible altercations. I guess having muscles gives people a false sense of security and entitlement. For me the gym was always a place to decompress and take my mind off things. A place I was looking forward to going. Not this place. This is just another place for me to get aggravated. Jan 11: Que vaga respuesta al decirme que esperan cumplir sus expectativas en una próxima ocasión. Ni siquiera se han tomado la molestia de revisar las bicicletas y al menos retirar las que están malas. Todos los días antes de la clase de spinning debo esperar tener suerte de que no me toque aquellas que hacen ruido y no andan bien. Hoy tuve que retirarme de la clase porque lamentablemente las bicicletas que sobraban estaban con el mismo problema. Es absurdo que como clientes debamos exigirles que presten atención a algo que debe ser su deber. He reclamado a su personal ya por tres ocasiones y nadie hace nada. La verdad no recomiendo este gym a nadie.

Decent facility but concur with some of the previous reviews about the bathrooms/showers. Several of the showers were missing either an on/off valve, soap dispensers, or out of soap. Water pressure was also weak and hot water wasn't very hot. Machines are all crammed much closer together than other LA Fitness gyms I've been to. I agree with another review about the less desirable attributes
of other members as well. One member even complained during yoga class about another member passing gas! Seriously? Instructor had to ask her if she'd like to move. Parking can also be pretty full, so have patience.
I hope corporate will fix the shower issues. Your experience will hopefully be different, but I'd only go if there's a class there that you want to take that fits your schedule.

Worst gym ever. Filthy bathrooms, very low class guests. I was harassed by a guest and the gym did nothing about it. I drive 10 min to go to another gym, so worth it! Beware, there r so many better gyms w guests who follow regulations. As a woman, I am warning other ladies. Stay away.
