Older gym with older machines. I don’t mind it.

But the people who work at the front desk don’t even look at you or greet you when you walk in.

There’s no point of scanning your qr code when they just stare down at their phone the entire time. I witnessed over 10 people scan their qr and pass this lady and she didn’t even acknowledge them.

I’ve been coming to this gym for a while and I’m really impressed. The equipment is always clean and well-maintained, and there’s a great variety for both strength training and cardio. The staff is friendly, helpful, Orlando was super helpful helped me with my membership. it’s a welcoming environment for all fitness levels. I visited LA Fitness in this location as a guest of a friend and asked for help finding a low-sugar, high-protein shake. Given my family history with diabetes, I'm careful about my sugar intake, even though I'm slim. I'm trying to build muscle, not lose weight, so a high-protein, low-sugar, low-calorie shake is essential for me. However, the staff member that makes shakes seemed judgmental and assumed I was looking for a 'fat burner' shake. I didn't appreciate the attitude and assumption about my fitness goals. Despite this, I tried the strawberry and banana shake that he rushed to make anyways while I was trying to decide what I wanted, which tasted good, but it wasn't what I was looking for I got it anyways from him. Since I'm not a regular here, I didn't make a big deal out of it, but I hope they can work on providing better customer service and avoiding assumptions about their clients' needs. I won't order another protein shake at this location again. It isn't worth the judgement and wrong assumptions specially if he was trying to decide what was best for me while I still payed for the shake regardless so it didn't go to waste. I have ordered a protein shake at other LA Fitness locations before and I haven't had an issue at the other gyms or them saying I didn't need to lose weight when I wasn't looking for that.

This place is absolute trash. This is one of the most expensive gym memberships and every single machine is old and rusty and a lot of them out of service for weeks or months. Also, at least for abs there is very little selection. There is a single decline bench which rattles around when you’re trying to do crunches. For the love of god get some new equipment this is ridiculous. It’s insulting to pay for this.

On a Saturday morning, Late June, I was attempting to try this gym out, it was my very first time, I had never been there. Well, Let me sum it up , the front desk employees particularly one of them were extremely rude and absolutely unprofessional. He was threatening , and expressed himself in an inappropriate and aggressive manner.

I just simply walked out.
All of this out of a simple verification process, where I had to repeat myself several times, it seemed as if these two young men were unwilling to cooperate.

I find it disturbing and concerning that LA fitness will have employees such as these attending guests.

If I wasn’t able to try the gym out for whatever reason, I would completely understand and just respect the process; however, being treated fairly with respect, courtesy and correctly is the standard LA fitness should have.

Honestly, it does not surprise me that even after all these years, this place has not improved at all. It’s still basically Bally Total Fitness just with the name change. The showers are old fixtures and they barely work. Good luck to anybody who has to go to work right after their workout, because you’re not going to get an adequate shower. The steam room is always broken. It almost never works and when it does, it’s broken the very next week. I went into the sauna tonight, that was a joke. It wasn’t even warm and yet when I checked the setting, it was close to the hottest level there was. Not to mention that a majority of the machines don’t even have the numbers on the weights anymore. So if you are not familiar with the model, you don’t know what weight you’re lifting, which can lead to injury if you’re not careful. Nor do many of them have the five increment weights that are supposed to be there so if you need to increase your weight, you have to go by 20 pounds. And several of the machines weren’t even working properly and were not labeled that they were under maintenance. I would be surprised if not a good number of people have been injured because of this location. It is deeply concerning to me that the management has not done anything to make improvements in all these years. I have seen several other locations be remodeled and updated and this one has remained the same, in the Stone Age. I will definitely never be coming back to this location even though it’s more convenient.

I really wanted to try this place. I talked with a colleague from work and got a three day free guest pass. We agreed to meet early in the morning so we can work out and then go to the office. What a disaster! When I arrived, a member of their staff told me that the free three day pass was not true that the company LA no longer provides that.... I said: " Look, I received a QR Code for my guest pass. Are you saying that all this is a false advertisement?" The lady replied:" You know how it is. The only way is that you get a membership right now." I politely replied:" No, thank you. Enjoy the rest of your day." The funny thing is that they keep sending to my email membership proposals. But at this point, guys, you know how I feel about supporting businesses that lie to me. Unfortunately, LA Fitness looks so good, but they are not. 😔

Gym continues its way down; hand sanitizing stations are now empty and there is no way to clean up the machines before using them. Asked the front desk personal and she just say “you could go to the bathroom and wash your hands there”. A very un polite response. Machines are full of rust.

Pretty bad overall, but I would say less crowded than other LA Fitness gyms so that's a plus. There are only three stairmasters, and half the time at least one is being repaired or closed off. The hand sanitizer stations are never filled, most of the machines are pretty rusty and sometimes broken. Honestly it's bad, but I always have a good workout and the staff is very helpful and nice.

SHOWERS ARE ALL COLD! 😡 huge waste of time coming here. Ran all showers for at least 10 minutes and no warm/hot water came out.

FREE WEIGHTS AREA IS A MESS. There are plates, dumbbells, barbells and mats all over the floor. It’s impossible to find a decent pair of dumbbells. The dumbbell rack is very empty and weights are mismatched. LAF needs to enforce the rules to ensure that members are cleaning up after themselves and being courteous. I left the gym early without exercising because this ruined my workout. I did not see any personal trainers on the floor with clients. Probably because they can’t find any weights to use since it’s so messy. the personal training Director needs to take responsibility & walk the floor.

The sauna was not very hot unless you sit right next to the heater.

Most LA Fitness locations in the area are no good! This location is the worst so far.

They do have a vending machine with BCAAs, energy drinks, protein shakes, and water.

This is not a worthy gym to attend. Staff never cleans, staff never places equipment back. Every machine that is usable is about to break down or it simply has a “no working” sign, it is never repaired. The sauna and steam room are never working and the bathroom is always dirty and full of bugs. There is dust everywhere, I remember coming here since I was little with my mother & wow it has not changed, it has not upgraded. The quality has spiraled immensely, you cannot jog without feeling like the machine is about to break down. This location is so aware of their defects if you obtain membership here it is cheaper than any other location, with that being said I was caught in the “deal” but after many months of no improvement and struggle enough is enough. However, the weights are never racked, there are several dumbbells and both curved bar and straight bar weights missing. The machines are extremely old and outdated. They do not run smoothly due to how old they are and they're not properly maintained. The gym has great potential, but the equipment is in need of a serious upgrade.

Excellent gym, location helps so it is not over crowded, huge parking , very nice staff especially Maritza and Mayelin , it's a pleasure to come to this local.
I especially loved that this location still has a steam room , a great feature that most locations don't have anymore . Highly recommend people to come here.

Estoy muy feliz con este gym el ambiente lo favorece mucho principalmente el trato extremadamente profesional y amable de la muchacha que trabaja en la entrada Marixza vengo aqui mas de 15 años y nunca a tenido un trabajador en la entrada como ella puntual desde las 5: am que es la hora que llego y con su amabilidad y puntualidad te arregla el dia difícil de encontrar por estos dias…….espero sea apreciada

I have had the pleasure to commute to multiple L.A. Fitness locations due to work purposes, and by far, I have to say this location is by far amazing. The staff, beginning with Maritza and the rest of the morning staff, are outstanding, polite, and amazing staff.
