This is by far the worst gym I’ve ever been to. Members don’t rerack weights properly, and the equipment area is always a mess. No one wipes down machines after use, and the gym overall is not clean. The childcare is also very disappointing, it’s only open from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m., which barely gives parents enough time to work out. Extending it to at least 12:30 p.m. would make a big difference. There’s nothing for the kids to play with, and the childcare attendant is usually on her phone while the children just sit and watch TV. The front desk staff are rude and unwelcoming, no greetings, no smiles, just bad attitudes. It’s clear that management doesn’t care about keeping a clean and friendly environment. Do yourself a favor and join a different gym or go to another LA Fitness location, because this one is terrible.

This gym is a mess. No one racks their weights that’s including the staff as well. Weights are scattered all over the gym floor. It’s rare to find them where they are supposed to be. The staff is not friendly and they truly need to get another leg extension machine. They have only one original. The other one is a rocker that no one wants to use. How can a gym this big not have another standard leg extension machine? In addition, it’s always packed no matter what time of day. The staff needs to start working and racking up the weights since members don’t know how to do it.

I was hesitant to join this a gym, but im so happy I did! This location has the friendliest staff, the facility is impeccable (I’m a germaphobe), counts with a wide variety of cardio/weight machines and fitness classes. Im also enrolled in personal training, and my trainer Jesus is such a blessing! He sets me up for success with detailed diet plans, designs & guides me through my workouts. His presence has made a difference in my journey, as it keeps me accountable and encouraged. Truly so grateful for his knowledge.

For the owners/managers - please give us a sauna! Its truly all thats needed to make this an even better location!

Without a doubt this LA Fitness has largest amount of members with absolutely no gym etiquette. You have members doing absolutely senseless exercises for 10 or 12 sets on the same piece of equipment for 20 to 3o minutes. This LA Fitness has 10 sets of cable stations which is awesome but there is always a waiting line of two to three people. For example one member put his gym bag next to a cable station while people are waiting and the proceeds to go to the bathroom and is gone for 5+ minutes and then you go to use the station he comes back all upset because he was using it... really? Then I let him take his station back and then goes about spending more than five minutes just stretching, still not using the station. I politely tell him people are waiting and he says he's using it for as long as he wants. This is just one example... really unbelievable. And that is not an isolated situation.

I have been to many LA Fitness Clubs while traveling through Florida and can confidentiality say this without a doubt this is the worst LA Fitness as far as members go as well as replacing dumbbell's where they belong. And I'm not talking about in the correct order but just on the rack. If a member uses a dumbbell on the other side of the Fitness center and when they are done. They leave them right there! If you going here you have to relate to what I am saying. I'm not saying every member is like this but a good 25% of the members need an education on gym etiquette. This could be a great gym but those members really ruin it for all the rest. If you can avoid this LA Fitness and have access to another facility I would suggestion that you go to another facility. Oh and I didnt mention the center is always busy during non peak hours. I can only imagine during peak hours.

Management should really take a good hard look in the mirror and do something about educating or at the very least posting signs but I don't think they really care.

I have a friend with a standard membership and they wouldn't even let her in for 1 day to see the gym. I had to add her to my guest list to get in and they still didn't want her to come in as my guest because she had to update her own membership. They made a mess of things and made us spend 50 awful minutes that could have been avoided. Terrible work from the management where more and more people are leaving every day. The only thing that saves them are the new machines. I'm not going to that gym anymore, we've already switched to the competition. Remember: "you are not the only fish in the lake."

Love the new facility and all the machines available for each workout. I would have given 5 stars but I feel they have two things that really need to be worked on. 1 would be cleaning while working out. I mean mopping and being told to lift your feet or things right in the middle of your workout so the floors to be mopped. Lets add you are breathing and inhaling the chemicals being spread in the mopping. 2nd would be personal training area. They do have an only personal training area however; you have personal trainers training 4-6 people at once taking up most of the other equipment (not in the personal training area). Not allowing time for other members to workout. I feel improvements in these areas would make this facility move to a higher rating and more pleasant to workout.

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the unacceptable and hostile treatment I received at your LA Fitness location. I have been a paying member for nearly a year, and the service has consistently fallen below professional standards. The most recent incident, however, was beyond unacceptable and raises serious concerns about how this facility is being managed.

On this occasion, the manager on duty was the individual who treated me poorly from the very beginning. Her behavior was hostile, dismissive, and unprofessional toward me as a customer. Instead of addressing my request respectfully, she chose to escalate the situation unnecessarily.

When I asked to borrow a barbell pad,basic equipment that should reasonably be available in any gym,I was told I could not have one unless I provided an ID. I was further informed that my membership contract excludes access to such equipment and that a copy would be printed to prove it. I have never heard of such a restriction in any fitness facility, and if such a clause exists, it was not disclosed at the time of my enrollment. This creates the impression of misleading or deceptive practices.

Faced with such hostility from management, I found myself in a situation where I lost my composure,not because of the equipment, but because of the way I was disrespected and provoked as a paying member. To then be told that my membership would be canceled only reinforced how poorly and unfairly this matter was handled.

Please be advised that I am documenting this incident in writing for the record. If this matter is not addressed appropriately and promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate it to LA Fitness corporate headquarters, the Better Business Bureau, and other relevant consumer protection agencies.

I really like this particular location, spinning classes are amazing, instructors are very professional. There's plenty of weights in the lifting area, as well as a green area for circuit training. I wanted to take a moment to commend Tania and her team at the LA Fitness on 57th Ave and 183rd St. The cleanliness of this gym is truly outstanding. I've been to many LA Fitness locations in Miami and Pembroke Pines, and none compare to the level of detail and care Tania and her staff put into keeping the facility spotless. The bathrooms, locker rooms, and equipment are always impeccably clean. It's clear that Tania goes above and beyond to make sure the gym is a great place to work out.

I was going to write a review anyway because the gym looked nice, but I feel the need to speak on what I saw today. The manager was extremely rude to a young man who said he works in EMS. It seems like she didn’t take kindly to EMS workers at all. Very unprofessional, Incompetent, arrogant, impatient and hostile. She creates a hostile environment it seems like. I feel for the people who have to work with such a person. I walked in and saw the entire exchange — she was short with him and dismissive for no reason. it is impossible to cancel a membership at LA fitness. I am moving to across the state and they are unwilling to work with me to cancel my membership. I work Monday-Friday 9 to 5. Guess the only available time for an “operations manager” to cancel my membership. Only a manager is allowed to cancel membership according to the employees there. Let me start off by saying this is the gym we go to out of convenience, not bc it's great. If you're ok with paying the exact same monthly rate as all the other LA Fitness locations with WAY less amenities, then this is a good fit for you. There is no wet/dry sauna, no basketball court and no access to the cycling room outside of class time. They leave 3 bikes outside and one of them is always low on battery.
There is one trainer (shorter, bald) who is always training a huge group of girls in the back of the gym by the squats and smith machines and they maintain that entire area overcrowded and messy. You can't get any squat, smith, or cable machine in that area and tbh you can barely walk through it bc of how many dumbbells they leave on the floor.
The whole gym is like that really. There are dumbbells and plates scattered everywhere and if you don't pay close attention, you'll definitely trip. Also, the trainers play their own music over the gyms music, so bring your headphones. The people working there don't seem to care about the overall care of the gym. I'll say the janitorial staff is really nice!
Ifthis location is pretty big, but it doesn't seem like they're using the space right. They have a third of the gym filled up with ellipticals and treadmills (that are always empty) and a huge empty room with nothing in it. They could take some of those out and get us more machines. They lines for the machines are always so long and you have so little options for legs. They're always full! Idk. If you're nearby and this is your only option for a bigger gym, then this is your option.

Tuve una experiencia muy negativa. A pesar de que seguí todos los pasos establecidos en el contrato para darme de baja, fui tres veces al lugar y cada vez me decían que ya estaba todo cancelado. Sin embargo, seguían cobrándome por servicios como “Kid Care” o mantenían mi cuenta en “hold” sin autorización.
Parece que siempre encuentran una manera de seguir cobrando o generando cargos indebidos.
Mi consejo: no te suscribas sin leer y entender bien el contrato, y si decides cancelar, exige una copia impresa que confirme que ya no eres miembro, que no estás en hold y que no tienes cargos pendientes.
Recomiendo que investigues otras marcas. Hay muchas reseñas negativas sobre esta empresa, y si buscas en YouTube, encontrarás testimonios de personas estafadas a nivel nacional. Yo decidí salirme por esas experiencias, además de la mía propia.

I had a very negative experience. Even though I followed all the cancellation steps outlined in the contract, I had to go in person three times. Each time they told me everything was canceled, but they kept charging me for services like “Kid Care” or put my account on hold without my permission.
It seems they always find a way to keep your money or create unexpected charges.
My advice: Do not sign up without fully understanding the terms. If you decide to cancel, demand a printed copy proving that you’re no longer a member, that your account is not on hold, and that there are no remaining charges, including extras you may have used as a member.
I recommend looking into other gyms. There are plenty of bad reviews, and if you check YouTube, you’ll find stories of people being scammed nationwide. I canceled my membership because of those experiences—and my own.

The gym is extremely over crowded. It does not have the amenities (sauna and ,steam room) that the other LA Fitness have.
There is a personal trainer in the mornings that allows the people he is training to hog up not only the machines but the dumb bells. You have to beg him for a dumb bell.
For these reasons I tried to cancel my membership but it can only be canceled by the manager who seems to never be available. Today, I was told that she had an emergency and only she can cancel the memberships. I was told by a very rude employee, Carla, who was very condescending that there was no other way to cancel the membership.
When I askef for a number for cirporate she gave me a number and they very kindly and efficiently cancelled my membership.

No vengan a hacer sus membresías con entrenadores personales, te dicen que las puedes cancelar cuando desees y luego salen con que solo te puedes salir a las 9 meses, te siguen descontando los 240$ mensuales y su único decir es que firmaste y eso sale ahí pero jamás te lo dicen. El trato al cliente en la recepción no sirve para nada, groseras y sin ánimo de trabajar, no hacen el ambiente agradable. En fin solo te estafan por 9 meses, se salen con la suya y nada pasa, viven cambiando de manager para cuando vuelvas no encontrarlos y no tener a quien enfrentar, se escudan en que ellos no saben que te dijo el antiguo manager y que no pueden hacer más nada por ti

RACISM & DISRESPECT.
Today I had a very disappointing and frankly disturbing experience at the LA Fitness in Miami Gardens. I went with a friend who has been a loyal member for over 10 years because I’m new to the area and wanted to check out the gym.

We asked the front desk lady if his membership allowed a guest pass or a way for me to work out with him. She immediately said no, with no explanation or courtesy. I then asked if I could get a free day pass to tour the gym or see the facilities, and she said LA Fitness doesn’t offer that—again, with a dismissive tone. All of this was said while the sales staff stood by listening and watching, yet none of them stepped in to help or clarify anything.

When we got to the car, I checked the LA Fitness website and saw that free day passes are available. I signed up for one under my name (D. Alvarez), and we went back in. That same front desk employee then told me the gym was at “full capacity,” even though I could see with my own eyes it was mostly empty. When I questioned her, she changed her story and said it wasn’t the gym, but the free guest pass capacity—something not mentioned anywhere on the website.

When I asked to speak with someone from the sales team, she rolled her eyes and disrespectfully said, “You want to talk to them?” A man came over and, when I asked for clarification, he said to me, “Do you even understand Spanish or English?” We had been speaking English the entire time. That comment felt racist and completely uncalled for. I was shocked and offended.

I left the gym feeling disrespected, discriminated against, and completely dismissed. This is unacceptable in 2025—or any time. Shame on LA Fitness for allowing this kind of behavior from their staff.

Been going here for eight months. Nobody re racks their weights here so you'll constantly be looking for what you need. Pretty dirty overall, often crowded even on off times. Staff doesn't really enforce gym rules as far as what I've seen. If you're a more serious gym goer I'd find another spot.

Staff is nice. Equipment is new. That's about it. No sauna, no steam room, no amenities or anything special liken other clubs have other than a pool which most clubs have by default. They keep cycle room closed unless there's a class so you're limited to like 2 or 3 bikes they have in the cardio area.

This gym is honestly a joke. Every time I come into this gym it’s a complete mess and in disorder, the weights are always all over the place and you can never find a weight you are looking for. It took me 10 min to find a 30lb weight one time. It’s really sad because other LA fitness gyms are not like this. You would expect that when the gym first opens the night employees would have fixed the weights the night before but not at all, I went in one morning right when they opened and it was complete chaos, it’s a waist of time having to find all the right equipment just to workout before going to work. Something needs to change in this gym, horrible experience going here

Probably the worst gym i've ever been to. I switched from planet to here and it was a huge mistake. No one picks up the weights and 90% of the time they're never where they're supposed to be so you have to go on a scavenger hunt to find some. The only place that has weights is the trainer only area where we're not allowed to go to. There's spills all over the floor that never get picked up, machines get hogged by like 4 people, and most of the time spent here is waiting for a machine to open up. And it's only this La, because i've been to 3 and they were all great. 40 bucks a month for a below average gym.

STAFF NEED TO TELL MEMBERS TO RE-RACK Their Dumbbells! It’s a MESS in the free-weights area and none of the dumbbells are in the proper slots, plenty of dumbbells on the floor. Staff need to come on the loud speaker every hour and remind members to re-rack their weights in the correct slots and staff need to walk the floors, watching members re-rack their weights!!Something needs to be done.

It’s 90% men here and there are some men who bully/harass some women here. Grown/old men giving young ladies a hard time because they can’t get what they want. Not a good environment if you are serious about exercising.

Hay gran variedad de maquinas y todas nuevas. El ambiente es siempre nice. El nivel de la limpieza en los banos y las duchas es espectacular y los he estado usando cada dia que he estado entrenando..La senora que los atiende es muy agradable y se le ve muy preocupada que todo este impecable. I’ve been going to this gym since October. Overall it’s a clean gym, cleaning crew always walking around. Machines always working, if something is out of order it gets fixed pretty quickly. Machines seem new and I really have no complaints. Bathroom/locker rooms are clean, they never smell. So I’ll continue to go here. The only reason I gave a 3 star is because there are constantly weights sprawled all over the gym. Of course you cannot control your members who have 0 gym etiquette and leave their weights every where but almost 95% of the time this gym has multiple employees just sitting in the front talking to each other and hanging out while the gym looks like a disaster and it’s frustrating that I have to leave my bench with my personal gym bag & literally walk around the gym looking for certain dumbbells. Photos I attached are different days. I go to this gym about 3-4 times a week so it’s annoying. Management should definitely get on top of their employees who just hang out in the front in groups & should help organize and resetting weights in their free time.

I’ve got over a decade of gym experience; this gym is in a convenient location however make sure to super set with dumbbells you already find or add more time to your rest in between sets because it’s like a damn scavenger hunt to find the dumbbells you need. Seriously, no matter what time of day it is, they’re scattered everywhere and the employees are at their desks all day. There’s no sauna. Restrooms are clean at least. I do like how there’s always disinfectant wipes around. Staff’s attitude is hit or miss, but who cares about that, we are here to lift and leave. People at the gym are kind too. There is no trap bar! It’s usually very packed regardless of the time. Introverts, beware. They got basically all the equipment you need.

The way this gym operates completely and utterly ridiculous. The trainers come in with their clients and hog the squat racks and dumbbells for HOURS. They don't share the equipment whatsoever and when you ask they say they're using it when they clearly aren't. This is an everyday occurrence thats needs to change. Why are they using up the common area if there's an area designated for personal training. Mind you this is at 5 AM, I couldn't even imagine coming here in the afternoon

Le di un free day pass a mi novia para q probara el Gimnasio y querian practicamente que se registrara. Incluso quisieron retenerle su ID (q es posible q sea ilegal) hasta que terminara su entrenamiento y despues se lo devolvian a la salida. There are dumbbells and plates everywhere. I'm one of the few people who actually reracks. Edit: l now want to add that the gym etiquette and clientele are so low class that the staff actually has to ask to holdd your ID in exchange for cable grips. Edit: I had to drop it down to 1 star because the level of disregard in this gym is atrocious. Plates and dumbbells everywhere. Staff is clearly negligent and just phoning it in. Machines left in a state of disrepair for extended periods of time. I wish I never signed up to this place.

Free weights seem to be a sore spot for so many gyms. My visit today was an example in point. There were no chairs open most of the time but that wasn't the issue. It's the members collecting 2 to 4 sets of dumbells at once. You can only use one set at a time. When it's crowded, collecting a pile of then isn't helpful. Do they ever put them back when done? Oy! The employees should monitor this and restore order. I shouldn't have to come in to 2/3s missing weights!

I wanted to enjoy this gym so badly, and I tried, but boy, it’s hard to. The good part about this gym is that it doesn’t get insanely packed, so you would think you could get your workout in quickly, but nope. Trainers take multiple machines, the weights are ALL OVER THE PLACE, and I mean ALLLLL OVER. Nothing is where it’s supposed to go, and it does not matter what time of the day you go. Even if you go when they’re opening, NOTHING WILL BE IN THEIR PLACE. Also, they have a few cable machines, which is great, but then no attachments. I can’t find them anywhere because they only have 1 of everything. Then you compare the prices for what you could get at an Amped or a Crunch for less money, and it’s just not worth it. I actually live 2 minutes away from this gym, so this is the best one for convenience’s sake, but when I can’t finish my session because I couldn’t find the weight I wanted, or I’m forced to go heavy or light because the weights just aren’t there, or machines are taken, or the cable machines don’t have attachments, it’s just not worth it.

Llevo par de veces viniendo a este lugar, grande organizado un poco lleno pero entiendo el lugar nuevo y eso llama la atención, normalmente suelo hacer spinning dos tres veces por semana y en todos los LA Fitness de la cadena dónde hay aula se puede usar sin que haya entrenador o clase programada, pero este NO cosa que me parece ilógica pues las bicicletas de afuera te desconcentras por las personas y la bulla y el aula no te puede usar " porque " no entiendo alguin que me explique, porque además vine con el entrenador y no me extraña que esté el aula vacía, algo ilógica la verdad que siendo un miembro, pagando una membresía no muy económica no pueda hacer uso de la totalidad de la instalación 🙄😳😞😒☹️

Had a very unpleasant experience this evening. I’ve been a memeber of LA fitness off and on for over 20 years. I brought my 15 year old daughter this evening in hopes of getting her too into a fitness routine. I know they had guest passes for potential guests to try the club and get them motivated to actually getting a membership of their own. When I presented the guest pass to the membership representative they asked for an ID of my daughter. Being that she’s only 15 she doesn’t have one and instead of having an alternative option I was told she can’t use the guest pass and had to pay for a day pass instead which was perfectly fine as long as they took my money. I have spent thousands of dollars over the years which they clearly don’t appreciate or value by their actions this evening. I was looking forward to signing her up but after this experience will be finding another gym for both of us to go to.

La limpieza de los baños en LA Fitness es excelente!. Si te gusta entrenar y después disfrutar de una refrescante ducha debes considerar LA Fitness. La atención en el lugar es muy buena y cordial. Me gusta la señora de mantenimiento que es pulcra y esforzada para tener una buena higiene en los baños con olor a limpio. Quiero destacar su buena disposición de recibir a todas a pasar mientras ella limpia. En este lugar también hay buen orden. Regularmente siempre encuentro todo organizado. I have been calling with La Fitness for several months now explaining I no longer live in Florida and need an account cancelled that is not mine but is being charged to my debit card. I spoke with the Operation Manager who states her name is Natalia! She is so unprofessional, does not let you speak, talks to you in a very condescending tone! I already had my own account canceled via phone after explaining I did not live in Florida anymore and was helped by a very nice gentleman who helped me cancel it. The other account being charged to my debit card does not belong to me and Natalia wanted me to go in person and take a flight from Texas to Miami to cancel that account in person. What type of customer experience is that? I guess this goes with the area where this La Fitness is located which has poor decency and can’t provide a good customer satisfaction to their members! Go to another La Fitness even if it’s a little drive away! Corporate, look into this Operation Manager Natalia who is not holding up a good name for this facility, I wish the call would be recorded so you could hear how she treats your customers!

Beware of this gym. The administration is a NIGHTMARE. Not only are they deceiving, liars, and rude, BUT RACIST! I was on the phone with a member from LA Fitness (they refused to transfer or even give me their name) to cancel my grandmother's membership, as I feel they took advantage of her language barrier. They had her sign 2 contracts in English; when asked if everything was explained correctly, the man rudely said: "Mam, his name is Lu-Is; of course, he speaks Spanish." WHO SAYS THAT?! I asked to be transferred to HR and was put on hold for 30 minutes. 30 minutes passed, and I asked to speak to the manager and got put on hold again. Then, I called from another phone and let them know that it was I who was on hold on the other line for 15 minutes. They proceeded to tell me that the manager had to help a customer out, mind you, he was talking to me before this "customer" came in. Is LA Fitness unable to hire competent people to handle and deal with other customers while the manager is dealing with a customer already? Am I less of a customer because I am calling on the phone and not in person? Stopping MID sentence to help a customer is not only unprofessional but also shows how POORLY this LA fitness is being run. The MOST DISGUSTING customer service I have ever experienced. That was just ONE issue I was dealing with. When trying to continue to cancel my grandmother's membership, they let me know that if I didn't pay the remaining balance (after they bamboozled my grandmother of $400+!!!!!!!!!!), they told me they are sending me to collection, I called corporate, and they let me know they LEGALLY can not do that. LIARS, RACIST, AND THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE/MANAGEMENT TEAM EVER!!!!
