This LA fitness is by far the most ancient looking hole in the wall type of junkyard location I've ever seen. No pool/no basketball court/no jacuzzi. ALL the equipment is super old and rusted. This location desperately needs a renovation. Staff is nice though.

Very disappointed in the southern LA fitness I'm originally from Connecticut and the clubs up there have dry saunas, hot tubs and pools the LA fitness down here are basically useless for me

Campus is run down. Needs to be reopened in a new location, free standing - like their other facilities. Hubby and I participate in spin four days a week. If it were not for the spin instructors we would have moved to a different establishment. Come on LA Fitness....the rumer over the past year of you opening a new location on South Florida has become old. We desperately need a new campus on SOFLO....

Very disappointed with hours of Operation and status of gym (outdated) . Have to drive to Valrico or N. Lakeland to use the pool. Need to update or relocate. Not worth the gym membership. Hope they listen to the feedback of most of their members.

By far the worst LA fitness facility I've seen. Outdated machines and the locker room smells like a high school locker room. Everything is outdated! Machines need some WD-40, and the second floor sounds like one wrong step and you're falling through. As much as money LA fitness makes, they need to update the equipment and facility ASAP. Def wish there was a basketball court and a pool like the N Lakeland facility.

Unfortunately I am only able to workout at the south Lakeland location when visiting family. This is by far the cleanest, most organized and professional & friendly staff of all the LA Fitness facilities I’ve had the pleasure to workout at. Get this team a brand new stand-alone facility to run, they deserve it!

Buyers beware We signed up for a 6 month contract to find out Mike the personal trainer had my fiance sign a 12 month contract he told me we could cancel it . 6 months later he wants $500 to be able to cancel that knowing that we were gonna cancel it he should have informed us it would be cheaper to do the 6 months very misleading company buyers beware they only want money they do not care about the customer.

When my wife and I returned after a 13 hr. hurricane Maria stress & frustration filled evacuation trip from Atalanta I received an unexpected call from Raul. He said " if your electricity is off we have power here and y'all are welcome to come over for a warm shower, were open". I was absolutely blown away as you should be as well.

For those looking for the typical La Fitness with seemingly endless equipment and square footage understandably, this gym will not meet your expectations. However, I never have to wait on fully functioning and aesthetically pleasing equipment, period. Furthermore, I'm always greated with a genuine good morning John or how is your wife doing? and have a great workout! And last, if I pay $5 more the 5 stars I rated this La Fitness are doubled in value I receive.

1st of all:
Most of the LA fitnesses have a daycare and they all close around about the same time this one said on their schedule they closed at 8 p.m. I arrived at 7:45 and the girls sitting on top of the counter told me that they closed at 7. The one that was behind the desk .playing some type of Facebook game on the computer just absolutely said and nothing ,not even hello , absolutely nothing, honestly nothing ...she just scan my membership ID badge and said nothing. Yeah, OKAY.... you're paying a girl ,to sit on top of a counter!! when I only had two kids. with me. she couldn't OFFER TO watch them for 15 minutes ,actually more like 10 minutes. Not coming back to this location I don't even care, that they're going to be building a new one. You should learn class and you should also teach them customer service !!! RULE: if you don't have any customers you won't have a gym. Meaning they won't have a job.. or a countertop to sit on top of... drove 45 mins to get her by my the way. To meet my husband whom had been waiting on us to get here. Lack of professionalism. Retrain them or hire people that are going to at least make you feel welcome here. Especially since you drove so far. End rant

be so careful with their contract. They are really can robe you off so bad.
They charged me $176.52 total of two month only. They will get $177.68 at the time of signing up, which they said it was the cheapest. then then charged me 58.84 for the next month. so when I went to them to cancel the service because I was hospitalized and to check on the charges. They told me that I still have to pay $54.99! as showing in their email that they send me.

This is the nicest gym in town. The staff is super friendly. The cleaning staff is always on and always cleaning (i think they are awesome).

They have lots of classes, yoga, rhumba...etc... but for me the Spin classes are awesome, great bikes, great teachers, great classmates.

I'm not sure what these negative reviewers are complaining about...prolly tried to avoid living up to whatever agreement they made to join....that's on them.

The gym, the staff, the parking, the classes.....all excellent.

They don't care about the customer needs, it is all business. Classes are cancelled completely,out of the schedule, whenever they want to without notice to the customers. I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone.

WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD WITH A GYM. Extremely overpriced, extremely difficult to cancel your membership and they over charged me and double charged me MORE THAN ONCE. I have been back and forth with them for months now and still haven't been refunded the money they owe me. Extremely unprofessional. Gym equipment is not that great and it's small. I do NOT recommend this gym to anyone!

I was upset to read this last review of LA Fitness Lakeland. This person obviously has an ax to grind. I attend the gym 4 to 5 days a week. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. The manager addresses any problems immediately. The gym is pleasant and people are friendly with lots of good programs.

Ridiculous price for a low quality gym. It's the smallest L.A. Fitness in the area with less equipment and classes. They try to justify the price by saying it includes your ability to use all L.A. Fitness but unless you are going to use different gyms then what your paying for seems ridiculous. They tell you they are saving you money by not charging you for things like parking and towels..... Really.... You can't legally charge for parking. Also who is going to pay for used gym towels.... Gross... They harass you by calling you everyday to get you to sign up for more things or to get your family and friends to join. Any number you provide them with they are going to call everyday. They would even come by my house and leave doorknob advertisements.... The staff only care about getting your money so they are nice and fake up until they either get your money or give up on getting more money out of you. Then they could care less about you, until another "deal" comes up that they need to sell... There are better gyms in the area that cost less with friendlier staff and better services. But that's my personal opinion.
