Its a great gym great staff but gym sucks, some ppl who signed up early enough dont pay the annual fee at all and then the ppl who do pay 50 a year. Yettt with 50 dollars from every member they dont even fix the paper towel dispenser.... was a great gym nowww the best part about it is its not packed. They take forever to fix anything and the hours on the weekend suckkkkkkkkkk. Literally only reason I stay is its close and less packed than eos or crunch.

YOGA classes at LA Fitness Lake Washington.
For the last three years I have been attending the 11am Fri and Sun classes. And Mon when the EauGallieCivicCenter is closed. The teacher was usually Nancy (perfect fit for me) who recently broke her ankle. Substitutes have been provided. Lisa, who has covered most of the classes, provides a similar class at a pace and level I enjoy. I hope LA Fitness sees 'fit' to continue to use these excellent instructors and maintain a solid program of YOGA Classes for its membership.

Great gym, friendly staff, clean, many programs, great personal training. Kasey runs the place well and has a kind heart and positive attitude. William is the most knowledgeable and down to earth personal trainer I have ever known. Good people that keep you coming back. The LA Fitness application needs work, though, as scheduling training is not always easy with its quirks. Hopefully, they get something to replace the fit fuel bar that shut down. The owner has never thanked me for the good reviews though.

Its a nice, clean gym, and the staff is friendly. They always try and answer question, show you around the gym, and will even show you how machines work. They greet you on your way in and say "see ya soon" on your way. Also, if you are looking for a gym that isn't always packed, where you can get in and get out. This specific one is the best.

My wife and I have been members of La Fitness since it opened. Unfortunately the gym has continued to decline with non functioning air conditioning, broken equipment, ripped pads and dirty restrooms. I've stopped at the front desk several time to inquire about the hot temperatures and keep hearing they know they have AC problems but no plans to actually fix them. It was cooler outside today at 80 degree when I walked out of the gym. No plans to renew my membership.
Update: 2/6/25: Spoke to manager Cassie who shared that she has submitted multiple service orders over the last year! The corporate office has suggested Cassie be only the squeeky wheel while they keep deferring repairs.

I like this gym and normally go in the mornings. Today I went in the afternoon. It was so stifling and stuffy I left after ten minutes on the treadmill. I asked the front desk and was told that the AC is only partially working and they don't know when it will be fixed. A friend who goes in the afternoons warned me that this has been a long term issue and he is joining a new gym because it's unbearable in the afternoons. I didn't realize how bad it was until today. The staff is nice, the equipment is fine but they need to have a functioning AC. This is Florida. There is new gym opening about two miles up Wickham soon and they will lose customers to them quickly. I hope they get it fixed soon.

I went to the water aerobics with Eden today, and it was a great workout!
Eden takes the time to ensure everyone understands the movements AND offers different levels. I chose the "more challenging" level today, and my body is loving it! She also keeps the heart rate in the sweet place ... think HIIT in the water. She doesn't move too fast like other instructors. You'll be in the right position for every move and won't be disappointed if you take her class! She is friendly and has a nice variety of music. Get ready for elevated joy!
A trip to the sauna and hot tub, and I'm ready for my busy day.

Shane Davin saved the day at Wickham today. My wife and I worked out like normal only to find our car battery dead. AAA was going to take three hours which didn’t work. The gym is good but I have been trying to ask them to fix the WiFi almost for a year. It is super slow. You can connect but half of the time it doesn't go anywhere. Even called the corporate a couple of times. No one cares. Aaron, the General Manager (is he?), was plain rude in my face. When I asked about it for the third time, he just said that it's not an important item and he has better things to focus on that to talk to me. No empathy or work ethic. Cassey confirmed that it's not something the management thinks important. However, the cell signal is really low in the gym, so even using my own data is problematic.

I've had a membership here for a couple of years. Over the last 8 months, I have had issues that led to my recent cancellation. There were two reasons for my last straw. One of their maintenance men just walked right into the women's locker room, looked at me and asked if I was dressed. You never know at any moment when this is going to happen. Others announce maintenance, and just walk in. Occasionally, one will announce and ask before walking in. The second reason was that paid members are paying to use their hot tub and swimming pool, and found out they are using one of these three laps for an outside company to hold swimming lessons 4 hours a day for 3 days a week. They care more about renting out the lane and profit then they do about their paying members having access to the swim Lane. In addition the yelling and screaming and noise of the lessons disrupts the entire swimming pool and hot tub experience.

Allows grown men to scream at each other in the basketball courts. I had gone to the bathroom during workout and thought I heard screaming as I washed my hands. I was a little spooked but it lasted a few seconds so figured maybe someone had music going in changing room or something.

I go on ab machine and I hear the screaming again. It was coming from the basketball court. I saw the guy in the doorway just screaming to a court full of basketball players. I felt uncomfortable being in a violent situation leading to PTSD and so I went to the locker room to stretch out. I hear yelling again. I walk out and I don’t see the guy anymore.

I figured they had kicked him out. I took my headphones out and decide I’d workout on the row machine right in front of the door. The guy was inside the basketball court room and walked out toward the court doors.

He was calm this time so I decided to try to my last set. I kept thinking about things in past, then kept wondering if that guy was going to go sideways and act out again. I felt my heart racing and I kept wondering why they didn’t kick him out.

*last week a friend said there was cops at the gym and they didn’t even go inside they just skipped the gym.

*a few months ago two younger workers were walking around the gym interrupting people working out to ask if they would recommend the gym to a friend. If they were to approach me I would have said something. I don’t want to be haggled to advertise for free while working out at a gym I PAY money to use. You don’t see my car insurance company calling me asking me to sign up my friends for solicitors to reach out to them, nor do you see my hair dresser asking me while cutting my hair. It’s just not something you do to your paying customers.

Feel free to leave a sign maybe, but don’t be approaching me to advertise for free.

*MULTIPLE times the last few years: I was told there was no basketballs to use. That everyone took them home. Why are the people workers lazy there? Palm Bay LA fitness (when I lived in that area years ago) would always ask for your member number when renting out. Why not do that and kick out the ones that bring them home? It’s not the paying , ball returning gym members fault that workers can’t log in whose borrowing gym equipment… plus wouldn’t you see it when they leave the gym? Maybe mark the balls so it’s obvious??

Now… onto the few good things..

There are two good things about this gym. One is how clean it is. The showers are exceptional compared to other gyms I’ve seen. The cleaning crew does great.

Sometimes I get told to have a good day as I leave.

Cassey Johnson here needs to be acknowledged for her awesome job. She is always exceptionally good and very helpful. However, this day she was literally almost a lifesaver. My sugar had dropped extremely low and I was in a really bad state. She literally went above and beyond to help me and to make sure I was ok even after hours. Most of the people there are really nice and friendly. I yet to meet anyone who wasn’t. Again, I really appreciate all that Cassey did and also, the gym members for me that day to help me. Words cannot express my gratitude! It is a really nice environment here the employees and the members. If I could I would give 10stars!

I have been a member of LA Fitness/Esporta Fitness Center for approximately 4 yrs. The gym and equipment has always been very clean. However, as of late, the gym has been especially well taken care of. The staff loves their members. This morning two of the staff were once again hard at it vacuuming and mopping the mats. I have an immune deficiency and am especially glad the staff cares about their members enough to make sure their facility is clean and the equipment is in good operating condition. I want to say Thank you to the staff for being willing to go the extra mile doing the mundane and often thankless duties of the fitness center staff.

I AGREE WITH DELFÍN WARRIOR’s REVIEW. Manager - middle aged Caucasian lady- only saying that to describe her- is bitter and very nasty . A member forgot his swim trunks and she says if she found them that she would’ve thrown them away, arrogantly says that’s their policy. They were nice swim trunks could’ve left for one day!

Then the same member comes back a few weeks later and gets told that he can’t check in by providing his cell phone number, he has to use his actual phone. She says it so rudely too. He was told by corporate he could just provide his number - because he likes to leave his cell phone in the car when he works out- because he likes to disconnect from his phone and use the gym as a mental health safe Haven- as he is a disabled individual recovering from Complex-PTSD. She then starts hounding him because of a balance that was like 2 days past due- but his account was green meaning he was free to use the gym. This is how they treat an ADA disabled individual ! Left feeling anxious and discriminated. Sickening! Will report to better business bureau

The gym was like any gym. Machines, pool, the standard things gyms have. I’ve worked out in gyms across this country, on my own, without trainers & 3-5 times a week for about 40 years, & enjoyed them very much. But, since Covid, I’ve not started back. When I was 50, even people that knew me could never believe I was older than 35-36 years old. (My oldest son was 33) But, I turned 65 last week & had gained some weight. I’ve been tired, & getting sick easily of late, so decided it was time to get back to working out. Last week I went to this local gym to set up a membership, using my insurance companies fitness center benefit. I was passed on to a nice young man who wanted me to come in for a “fitness assessment. I met with him yesterday. I foolishly thought that the “assessment” would be to give me an idea of what someone my age should weigh etc, to know where I should start & to reach my goals. I was asked 2 pages of questions about my workout history & lifestyle habits. He then knew Id worked out forever, alone & would again, now, & what my plans were to reach my goals. Now, we were both speaking English, but definitely weren’t on the same page! He took me through a training session, even though I told him I was getting over bronchitis & didn’t want it, & would be starting MY gym routine on Monday a.m. I was trying to be patient with him, but when he took me back to his desk, it was all about signing up for personal training sessions! I’m 65, proven I’m capable of faithfully working out & just wanting to lose weight through focused exercise to keep from getting sick, feel better, sleep better & relieve some stress! He said, “if I was really serious about it & a #10 commitment level, as I said, blah,blah, & that if I cut back/cut out my lifestyle choice, then I could afford training sessions. I finally told him that I never needed another person to motivate me in anything that I’d decided to do in my life, was never a peer pressure person, & wasn’t interested in being “accountable “ to him to prove my commitment “!! Whether I work out or reach my goals or not , which I know I will, doesn’t change his life at all, but knowing what it takes to reach those goals isn’t new to me. I’m not looking to be “ripped!” I just want to enjoy my old age, feeling good & working out! By the time I finally shut him down, & left, I was frustrated that he was a manipulative salesman, didn’t listen to me saying, in several ways, “Not interested “, because I was trying to be nice. Then, I had a booming headache from the work out session, after reminding him I didn’t want a workout session, “because I was just getting over bronchitis & would start on Monday!” & had things to do, today, etc.
I work out because I want to & like the benefits, but by the time I left, wasn’t sure I’d work out at this LA fitness! I now know, a “fitness assessment” is only a manipulative sales pitch, which is his job at this gym, but be aware, of the, signed contract to lock people into 18, $60.00 training sessions whether the member keeps the sessions or not, pays his salary! For those who want/ need that type of support fine, but be aware of the smiling sales people!! And know this, you guys, most of us old, retired people mostly just want to exercise, not be under pressure to perform & be accountable!! We’ve finally achieved the right to be “free” from that requirement!! You tried to take the fun & enjoyment of my decision to workout from me, & turn it into a stinking JOB! See you Monday!!

I recently joined LA Fitness. My primary interest was group classes, including aquatics. So far I have only used the facility at 2447 Wickham Rd. It’s really nice! Well-equipped and very clean. I am visiting Melbourne and have been training at this location. I am amazed at the cleanliness and overall condition of the club. The locations that I usually frequent (PA) are poorly maintained. There is equipment that is broken and out of service for over 3 months, complaints go nowhere.
I had a conversation with a worker yesterday to tell her how much I liked her gym. She told me how much she loved her job, of course this was apparent. Every day she has greeted me with a smile. I see her walking around the gym and pointing out issues to maintenance people. People like her make a difference. I highly recommend this location!

This is a fabulous gym. We have previously lived in areas where they had brand new gyms that of course were better. However, this gym has plenty of space and is well maintained. There are plenty of classes. The manager that we know, Cassey, is fabulous at keeping this gym clean, friendly, and works with the staff to offer the best gym experience. Because of the staff we look forward every day to working out. I give this to gym four stars because of the layout and the staff. Three squat racks that are never all taken, plus the kid care is so lovely! I take my 1yo in the morning 2-3 days a week. He has started struggling with separation anxiety, even just when I set him down at home; while developmentally appropriate, his upset makes it very hard to find time to take care of myself. The childcare staff is so compassionate and wonderful and patient! I cannot overstate the value as a stay at home parent of having a local gym with childcare I trust.

LA Fitness is a wonderful gym. I truly enjoy my workouts in this top notch gym! My personal trainer, Will knows how to coach to bring you out the best in me while also being sensitive to my physical limitations, The best coach I’ve ever had!

Cassey, the manager of the club, made my experience a positive one. She was accommodating, especially since this was my first time at the club. I'm from upstate NY, and I was staying in Melbourne for the winter season. The club is clean, has a wide variety of exercise equipment, an indoor basketball court, a huge indoor heated pool, friendly gym staff, and the gym equipment is well-maintained. When I'm back in Melbourne, I will return. 😀👍

Avoid this company at alm cost! They will not let you cancel your membership unless you jump through some many hoops. Can't cancel online, on the then phone or in person, but you have to send a certified letter in the hopes they allow you to cancel it. BUYER BEWARE!

My husband and I travel frequently and visit gyms everywhere we go. I called this gym, as well as others in the area, to see what they offered for visitors to the area. I knew when I called that we needed to try it. So glad we did. They were so welcoming when I called to tell them we were here a week a month. When we got there, we knew we had made the right choice. The staff was incredibly welcoming. The gym was clean and well attended. Even so, we never felt like we were waiting on equipment. Super clean. We think this is one of the best gyms we’ve been to and we’ve been to many. Thanks so much to the staff we met and we look forward to coming back when we are in town again!

Only LA/ESporta gym in the county that harasses you about getting out early. Gym closes at 7 and they’re shouting at you at 6:50 that there’s ten minutes left. At the other ones on 192 and Palm Bay rd they just want you to be finished by closing time then they give you 5-10 minutes to change, instead of treating you like a farm animal. It was 6:59 and I was in the locker room getting harassed about hurrying- well I was trying to change my clothes. One of the main managers is a complete Karen. My friend thinks he left his swim trunks there and he asked her if they might be around and she said any left over pool clothes gets THROWN AWAY!

Then she scolded him for checking in by providing his phone number instead of scanning the barcode, because he likes to leave his phone in the car while he works out, as a means to disconnect since today’s generation is slaves to those phones! Corporate told him that he can sign in either way; so corporate is wrong? She tried to sell him a scanner-key attacher for 10$. Why would he do this when he can just provide his number ?!!! Very nasty, a money robot.

I've had a few memberships at various gyms and this one really has all I need. The facility is clean and the staff is so chill and always available when I need them. I rarely ever have to wait for any equipment and I can get my workouts done efficiently without having to worry about the crowds. I've been curious about trying the programs with the trainers because I've heard that they really pertain to the needs of each individual.

He’s helped me make sure I have proper form at all times when lifting weights; as I have a herniated disc in my back and must always practice caution when lifting heavy. I love this location for LA Fitness (Melbourne area. Wickham road)
Every location is different from the next
This one has the best equipment and variety of equipment than any of the other locations I’ve been
I live in Orlando, but visit this location whenever I am in the area.
If all the LA Fitness locations were set up this way, they’d all be perfect.
And the best part is this location is never over crowded like others.

My main interest is lap swimming. The rest of the gym seems clean, but the pool is filthy. I see the same white plastic trash on the bottom every day. Dirt and sand accumulate in the corners and bottom of the steps. There is a "bathtub ring" of grunge on the tiles around the lip of the overflow drainage system. There are always pongy particulates suspended in the water. This pool should be drained, cleaned, and repaired. I don't know how they have passed health inspections unless the city only goes by chlorine levels and PH. Even then, it would help to have a WW1 gas mask to breathe.
