Cold showers, two patrons told me they always shut the hot water off especially on weekends. Went to front desk to enquirer about the reason. Staff member said they were hot yesterday and pretty much dismissed me without an apology. First time here probably won’t be coming back.

It would be a big stretch to find a more poorly managed gym than this Melbourne location. Whether it's the attitudes of certain staff members or the lack of cleanliness. The water cooler has been dispensing only warm water for over 3 and 1/2 months now.

This location of LA Fitness was nice for the first year after they opened in approximately 2014. But quickly went downhill after that. I stopped going in 2022 because the lack of courtesy by the staff and the cleanliness had gotten so bad it became intolerable and any of my verbal complaints went into deaf ears. The gym, and especially the bathrooms, have been very dirty ever since 2015. In the bathrooms the same hairball and used toilet paper piece would be on the floor in the corner in the same spot for weeks, to the point I ended up taking a picture to document how long it took for someone to clean them up. The Lake Washington gym is pretty dirty too and the staff there are extremely rude to both me and my spouse on more than one occasion. The Hollywood Blvd. location seems to be a bit cleaner but the staff there ignore people unless they are 20 something Instagram types, they are not friendly to anyone of middle age at all. The group fitness staff was hit or miss. A few of the really excellent teachers would not stay because of low pay and the ones that stayed the longest and some are still there are the ones that have little to no fitness education and as a phys ed major I can tell the difference. Some of the staff and teachers would give really dangerous health and fitness advice to me and other members, to the point where I am surprised they aren't sued fairly often for causing injury. I recently ran into a former staff member and he told me how very little they actually get paid there, it's barely minimum wage, so what can you expect? You get what you pay for. I will not patronize another LA Fitness, Esporta or other brand name gyms from this same parent company ever again.

I like L.A. Fitness much better than two other gyms that I used to go to. I especially enjoy and benefit from the Total Body group classes that are offered a few times each week. Renata is one of the trainers of this class, who provides a genuinely challenging workout. I strongly recommend her class. Unfortunately it is only available one day each week. Also, it takes place at 9:45 - not too early! 😃 If there were more of her classes, I would attend them!

Would leave a higher review, but I feel like one of the trainers is kind of rude and makes me feel unwelcome in the training area even when it is not blocked off for training classes. Which is frustrating because I pay $30 a month to work out at this gym and try to fit time in my busy schedule in order to do so. Today, when I went to do step ups on the cable machine, all of the trainers stuff was on the step up Equipment that I wanted to use. I didn’t bother asking him to move it because he’s always pretty standoffish to be honest. He has essentially shooed me away from the cable machine once before. The cable machine is for everyone and it’s not blocked off for private classes at the time when I’m trying to use it so I’m not sure what the issue is. I will be moving my membership elsewhere if this continues. PS I am not someone to complain and I like to keep to myself. This is one of the first online reviews I’ve ever left, but after several times of this happening, I feel I need to say something.

LA fitness hires the most unfriendly staff. The people at the front desk don’t know how to acknowledge their customers, don’t even look up from their phones and often times give you a dirty look. They also can’t turn the AC on, trying to save money, maybe they will call 911 if you have a heart attack or heat stroke but I doubt it. NEVER enough hand weights, this is a gym…right, kind of need weights to exercise?!? I’ve been a member since 2014 and after 11 years they STILL do not care to do better. Desperately need to hire more instructors for the Body Works classes, lacking big time!

I've been using this gym facility for several years now. I like the location and the fact that it is not super crowded. There is a wide range of equipment, as well as plenty of free weights.
There are several cleaning staff to ensure everything is clean. They started out as LA Fitness, but then changed the name to ESPORTA. The name has recently been changed back to LA Fitness. Not sure why that all happened, but it is still the same facility and nothing is different because of it. The front desk staff is friendly and the vibes are good.

Started attending group classes in late 2022. The progress I’ve seen not only in my cardio ability, but my strength is unmatched. Not to mention the amazing instructors. 10/10 Anthony has been an amazing trainer! He’s knowledgeable about the areas I want to work on, tailors every session to fit my goals, and always motivates me to get outside of my comfort zone (without being pushy like a lot of other trainers). I saw a lot of progress after an only a couple of weeks. He’s really flexible with schedules which is great as someone who typically works until late evening during the week. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-tier personal trainer!

This gym has 2 squat racks, 2 smith machines. Overall ok for casual and mid level people. Except for Monday afternoon when it is really busy, there are usually only a few people there. If you are a serious power lifter you probably want somewhere else.

Staff members are not friendly nor welcoming. I've been going to this gym for at least 7 years now. All I've ever gotten from them was just a blank stare as I enter, no welcome or anything. Recently had a bad experience with the guy who has the dreads at the front desk. He flat out lied to my face when I confronted him about something he said to my wife. Afterwards, every time I went in to this location, seemed like there was tension with him.
The cardio equipment have seen better days, especially the ellipticals. The handles on just about all of them are severely rusted and it'll be a matter of time be before they give out and a member gets hurt. The cleaning staff on a couple occasions have cleaned the HVAC vents (which are located by the cardio machines) during busy hours of the gym. I've seen other guests confront them asking why they needed to clean the vents during the busy hours where people are inhaling the dust? I've also had one of the cleaning staff spraying cleaning solvents on the treadmill I was actively using. Therefore, I had to cut my workout short to prevent inhaling more chemical fumes.
This location could use an overhaul with workout equipment and friendlier staff.

Mgr went above and beyond to not allow me access to the gym with a written 3 day guest pass that his trained staff offered me. Came in from out of town. Looked up the company rules and it still makes no sense. Instead of taking the accountability as a manager, he wasn't willing to allow a guest in. Esporta has a nice gym but i had a bad experience.
