Been going to this gym for a long time. The good things about it are the location and also the fact that it's less crowded than most branches... which is why I don't want to give it just 1 star. Also the people who work here are very nice. On the other hand though I think it's important to mention that the owners for some reason either don't care at all about the place and/or aren't able to maintain it well. To say that the showers look like in a 3rd world country would be an understatement. The water is either cold or it's as hot as it gets, nothing in between most of the time. Locker room is a shame for a place like this as well. The sauna unit broke down a while ago and they took 3 months to fix it... which should be easily done in between 1 week at max. So bottom line this place is way way overdue for a complete renovation and also overdue for the owners to respect their costumers the way they deserve. I really want to remind the owners to read your own description of the place here on Google...sorry guys but there is currently really nothing "Premier" about this place...zero.

If you’re from out of town, don't bother coming here. This LA Fitness is one of the dirtiest I've ever been to. Dumbbells are everywhere because no one re-racks their weights. Staff won’t even tidy it up. All machines are old and covered in rust. I thought I would need to get a tetanus shot after leaving.

This has become the worst LA fitness in south Florida. I literally drive 25 minutes out of the way (I live right next to this one) to go to the FTL LA due to the absolute abysmal state that this gym is in. It’s dirty and disorganized. It’s like every other day something new breaks and stays broken. The sauna and steam room have been broken for what, 3 months?? The staff doesn’t even care they just sit up there on their phones all day. I don’t understand how it’s gotten this bad.

This is my home gym, and it's frustrating that the sauna has been closed for the past two months, and the steam room hasn't reopened since COVID. The gym is quite old, and I rarely see the manager to voice my concerns. It seems like they don't want to clean the sauna, which might be why it remains closed. I don't plan on coming back; I’m actually switching to another gym because of this. It's disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend this gym.

It’s been years of neglect, there’s mold throughout the building, dirty air vents, rusted metal surfaces everywhere, torn padding on machines, the sauna’s been broken for over a month because corporate refuses to put money in this location. I stopped coming here because I believe my health is at stake. I manage buildings for a living and can continue to list proof that there’s no budget for this location, but not worth the time and leaving La fitness as soon as my membership expires.

I came to LA Fitness in Aventura for the free pass event, but I couldn’t even stay more than 30 minutes because of the smell — it was unbearable. The entire building smells really bad, and honestly, the place feels extremely old and run-down. Everything inside looks old, rusty, and neglected. It’s really disappointing, especially for a fitness center that should feel clean and welcoming. Definitely not what I expected.

Go to the YMCA in Hallandale Beach or other gyms in the area if you can afford it…

Honestly, I don't like leaving reviews, I'll leave this review because I really want this gym to be cleaned up. Guys, this is not serious at all. The gym stinks terribly, it's dirty everywhere, the floors are dirty, the walls are dirty, the locker rooms are a whole other story, the exercise machines are dirty. The equipment are super old, all the leather on the machines has long been torn and has moved out of place, it's unpleasant to be in the gym at all. This is not at all the level of LA Fitness. You have a good location, but the gym is... Guys, close for 1-2 months, do a good renovation, give the gym a second wind

I think the aventura area deserves a better place to workout. Why LA doesn't invest in an update of the entire place for sure the return will come soon with the thousands that will go in and sign in again because all the neighbors will love to go there. As outdated as this location is,even this location is becoming more tolerable and more pleasant than that awful 123rd location,they're less crowded,they have a pool,jacuzzi,and a shower near them that actually functions,they've finally added shower curtains in the locker room, some water fountains have water bottle refillers,they even have a running track at the top,which was unique to some older Bally's fitnesses, but they definitely should replace the lockers in the locker room.

This LA Fitness is cozy place. Not a big place but it has machines, weights and treadmills for everyone needs. It also has a pool and a nice running or walking track on second level and everybody gets along. Despite not being a big facility, there is always parking available. Employees are nice too

This morning I went to the gym because I didn't know it. And yesterday the person in charge or the person in charge of the gym hadn't debited my annual membership. And he told me that I couldn't go in. And I told him that I was going to pay it.

I preferred to leave the gym because I didn't want to have any problems, but I received a bad welcome and had a bad experience with the morning yesterday at that place. The girl who was in the Frondé was helping me, she was kind and polite, but yesterday morning was somewhat historic and despotic. I didn't like her attention. I don't think I'll go back while she's there.

When I left the Front gym I realized that they had already avoided giving him the money, so I don't understand why his treatment was so bad and the truth is I didn't like it.

Place needs to be renovated and kept tidy a bit more:broken and/or rusted machines, machines missing those weight pegs to add and hold extra weight to the machines (extra 5/10 pounds), hair all over some machines( why is everyone's hair falling out?) ,empty hand sanitizing dispenser...refuse to use the bathroom. I can work out using what's available, employees are nice, and the hours opened are decent.
11.3.24-- the facility has improved a little. There has been more change in leadership than the gym itself, however. Please keep those wipe dispensers filled. We don't need an outbreak. Members need to be able to sanitize.

My first time goin to this location . In California I enjoyed the track immensely used to run on that thing all the time and then when I moved back home the 123 gym and the 183 gym They don’t have any track so I was very excited about the track . The atmosphere is different. It’s kind of chill and little older crowd than I’m used to which was actually, kind of cool because there’s less flirting and stopping to chat I didn’t talk to anybody just went there and worked out. I like the sauna and the stair climbers but don’t like the spin bikes in same room as a regular exercise classes but would go back

Great Gym, Bad experience from the way of doing business and acquire membership. I visited (or tried to) after a long talk to sign up, couldn’t work out as my time run out and without signing all documents and request to send them in writing to review and sign at a later time, as I only wanted to visit the building and gym for now, still charged a membership and never got my signatures or approval for it.
Was reimbursed, by the CC company of course, but disappointed for the wasted time just for trying to visit the gym with another member.

I’ve been attending this location for over 15 years and this location is the ONLY location that has yet to do any renovations!! Many of the machines are old and rusted and inoperable! You guys don’t have enough 15 pound, 20 pound, or 25pound dumbbells either and there are NO 5 pound weights AT ALL in the entire facility, how do you not have ANY 5 pound weights available? How can you expect people to spend their hard earned money every month on a facility that doesn’t have the proper equipment needed to get an efficient workout? If you are canceling make sure you get a cancellation number. The tall gentleman in the corner office (top of stairs make a left) “canceled my membership” because I was leaving the country. And I’m still being charged. I sat in his office and received verbal confirmation this was done. Very shady

I'm in the N MIA area for a month. I signed up at the 123rd St facility. It's older, very crowded, very noisy, hard to park, very unappealing. Cardio machines are dirty, broken.

I stopped by the location on 207th St. What a difference. The place is very nice. Small, but has everything you'd want. Cardio machines are newer, cleaner, in operation. I definitely would recommend the 207th St facility, and NOT recommend the 123rd St facility.

I signed up for 3 day trial, as i was strongly considering joining. Once i arrived i was disgusted by the level of cleanliness. Weights were laying on the floor all over the gym, equipment was dirty, floors, walls everything was just neglected. It appeared they were maybe closing down soon or something. Then, minutes before 9 the lights to the gym were turned off and the lady at the front desk was yelling at everyone to leave ( horrible attitude for someone in customer service and a complete turn off for new comers) without any 15, 10 or even 5 minute warning. I have been to many gyms in my life and this experience has by FAR been the worst in any state. Even Planet fitness in a sketchy neighborhood has higher standards. I expected so much more from LA fitness. Sad i cant join, as i was hoping to.

I recently downloaded a 3 day guest pass for LA Fitness in Aventura Florida.
When I arrived today with my QR code printed from the email that was sent to me, the manager refused to let me enter the gym for a workout because I didn’t have photo ID with me. I was dropped off at the gym by a friend who was going to return an hour later to pick me up. I only had a towel and my headphones with me because I didn’t want to bring my wallet into the gym. I was never told, on the multiple phone calls that I received, trying to get me to book my visit, that I needed ID, only the guest pass. I tried to reason with the manager that I would bring my ID another time- he already had my name on the computer, and I had the email that was sent. The manager wouldn’t budge, saying that LA Fitness policy was not to admit anyone without ID. No flexibility when I said that I got dropped off at the gym, no empathy, and no service. What an unfriendly place. And here’s the kicker- I had been there about a month before and received a card that said guest pass. I showed it at reception and got right in without any ID. Great training for the staff!
Not! Any gym that is so rigid with a guest pass policy does not deserve new members, and I plan to never return, even with ID! 👎

I walked in free (was a member in pompano years ago and moved here) and guess what! im never going back. even for free! place is disgusting. i came home and washed my clothes asap. Well to start !! The floor upstairs where all the machines are...smells like sweat at 5 am.The floors are filthy with papers on the floor ..so it would be nice to clean it before people start coming in At 5.

Very quite & friendly atmosphere there’s a lot to do there I can work out while watching Tv.The guy peter that works there was very professional super friendly and easygoing. He explained everything to me in detail and had a lot of patience in doing so.He gave me a lot of tips while giving me a tour of the gym.His energy was very positive you can tell he lives his job.when I start going there I would definitely like an encounter with this staff member every time he was very encouraging.Thanks!a lot LA Fitness.

La atención en recepción , básica. Nada, una planta creo que es mas amable. Salvo un chico solo que esta por la tarde que es super simpático
Las maquinas? La mayoría oxidadas, que te cuestan hacer el ejercicio. Les falta una buena mantención

I would highly advise against wasting your time going here.

Unethical practices:
I signed up for a membership with Franklin, which he assured me was going to be $39. You can imagine my surprise when I was charged over $100 due to tacked on fees he thought I wouldn’t notice, and didn’t care to communicate. Now, they’re opposed to giving me a proper refund. If you want to get scammed, go here.

Dirty, unorganized, overpriced:
For the price and the name, you’d expect a nice gym. However, it’s simply dirty, unorganized, old, and in disrepair. Weights are rusty and strewn about, and the equipment is falling apart.

If you ignore my review, go here, and are disappointed, that’s on you.

I went to try out a guest pass, and I really like atmosphere. I like the facility, and the staff was very helpful, especially Kolby who coordinated the pass and showed me the facility.

It has a lot of equipment to workout on, a pool and a jogging track. It's just a little old. The lockers have locks that don't work and we were told by other members that it wasn't safe to leave anything of value there.
