One thing they don’t tell you when you join is that the app they require you to use is inaccurate. They post classes that are not available, or that cost additional fees or have been canceled or you must signup for in advance . So you waste your time trying to coming in for a class…. If you have a busy schedule like I do, where every hour counts, you might understand my frustration.
This was not how they presented it when you come in, only been a member a week , already extremely disappointed.
Most of the staff has a very poor attitude and do not have a clue on how to treat people or what services they provide. Elevator hasn’t worked for weeks. Find another place to workout.

I was really exciting to walk in to find out information on their palates classes. My teenage daughter and I walked in to the front desk. The young man at the front desk was helping someone. I stepped to the right side of the checkin desk to show my daughter the palates advertisement poster. To ensure we were in a gym that offer classes.

The receptionist stopped mid conversation with a previous guest to yell out to us, “Hey! What are you girls doing? Are you members? Have you checked in?? I’m trying to figure out what you’re doing.

As a middle aged woman I was appalled. The man he was currently speaking with was shocked, watching us as if we doing something wrong.

Therefore, I do not wish to do business with a place where the receptionist yells out to cause a scene. As though people are not supposed to be excited to look at their advertisements in the reception area.

Very dirty Gym - equipment is old and outdated, the sauna room very dirty, trash on the floor and very dusty , I was bitten by either fleas or mosquitoes. That was a different experience, toilets and showers old and dirty, water calcium and built up. They do not offer a swimsuit ringer nor plastic bags for the wet bathing suits or towels, you would think that for the amount of money they charge for membership they would offer a better facility. Unfortunately is the one closer to where I live and I have to go there.

I've been going to Esporta for over 8 years and love everything about it. It's like my very own fitness and private facility.

Their racquetball courts, weights, bathrooms, locker room, showers, sauna, whirlpool, pool and fitness areas are always clean and well taken care of.

I love to play racquetball mostly but enjoy the atmosphere of the entire facility. Their large pool area is a great place to exercise without weights for enjoyment and all around full body therapy. Their whirlpool feels really good like my personal healing, relaxing, message therapy in water without needing to do anything. Although I don't use their sauna a whole lot, when I have used it, I imagine their sauna pulls impurities and toxins out, opens my pores and gets me ready for a shower to get on with my day. They have exciting and vibrant workout dance classes with invigorating, enthusiastic participants who love what their doing and really get into moving with purpose. I do not play basketball, but they even have a basketball court for those who love the sport and want to practice or play a friendly game. If spinning is your thing, they have an entire room just for that. Upstairs they have bikes and elypticals. If flipping tires, rowing, pulling or pushing weights is your thing. All of that is front and center as you walk in.

For convenience they offer an elevator for those who can't go up and down stairs or who have walkers.

Mom's and dad's can leave their kids with trusted care takers in a safe environment while confidently working out rather than worrying about their kids. Everyone enjoys and wins at Esporta.

I enjoy their food, coffee, drinks and healthy snacks at their corner café. My favorite is their chocolate coffee dream.

I've seen all ages, sizes and shapes indulge and benefit from this amazing facility at Esporta.

Their staff is courteous, helpful, clean, and have your best interest in mind. Any questions I've ever had have been addressed with ease and professionalism.

I see trainers who are extremely helpful, patient, and totally focused on who they are with to truly help them. Their focus is sincere and respectful of their need at hand to progress them and encourage them to their achieved goals. I never see them distracted or on their phones. They are really top notch trainers who know what their doing and care.

I would greatly recommend Esporta to anyone with any kind of love for health, workouts, and sports fitness of any kind.

The gym is in poor condition- it's dirty, outdated, and poorly maintained. Equipment is old, surface are grimy, and the overall environment feels neglected and uninviting. It may not meet the hygiene or safety standards, making it an uncomfortable place to work out. Sweats is visible left on the machines and floors for days even weeks without being cleaned. Even in your first visit, staff admit that the gym needs major remodeling, which shows they're aware of how bad it is. But despite that, nothing actually seems to be improving. If you care about cleanliness, comfort or basic hygiene, Please avoid this Gym.

I’ve been going to LA Fitness in Orange City for a few months now, and it’s disappointing to see how much it has changed over time. Back in the day, LA Fitness used to be the premium, go-to spot for a great workout experience, but now it’s a completely different story. The equipment is outdated, and the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. One of the biggest issues is the men’s locker room, which has a musty, moldy smell due to old carpets that haven’t been replaced in who knows how long.

They’ve been talking about doing a renovation for ages, but when I asked other gym-goers who’ve been coming here for years, they said they've been promising this for a long time without any real action. It’s frustrating to see them get away with this, especially considering the lack of competition in the area. It seems like they’re becoming complacent because they know they don’t have much local competition to worry about. If they don’t step up and make improvements soon, they’re going to lose a lot of loyal members.

Honestly, if a gym like CF Fitness were to move into this area, I'm confident most of the current LA Fitness members would switch in a heartbeat. CF Fitness is known for its premium experience, spotless cleanliness, and top-tier, well-maintained equipment. It's everything this LA Fitness used to be-and what it desperately needs to become again. Come on LA step up your game!

I wanted to share some honest feedback as a current member. I truly appreciate having access to the sauna—it’s one of the main reasons I’ve stayed with this gym. The pool is also a great amenity. That said, I do have some concerns about the overall condition of the workout area.

Several machines seem to be broken regularly, and the cable machine attachments are literally tied together, which feels not only unprofessional but potentially unsafe??? On top of that, many of the D-clips are broken or missing entirely.

It’s frustrating, especially considering the price point of this gym and the plethora of members, to see such basic equipment in disrepair. I say this with all due respect and I’m just hoping this feedback can help bring some attention to these issues, because I know this gym has a lot of potentia regardless of it being a chain.

🚨 Avoid this gym at all costs! The equipment is rusty, and the entire facility is disgustingly dirty. It's like they're reusing the same dirty water for cleaning. The kids club is a nightmare, they deceive parents about cleaning schedules, and the space is often filthy with overflowing trash and grimy floors. The play structures are rarely cleaned, and donated toys aren't sanitized, creating a breeding ground for germs. Multiple complaints might prompt a half-hearted cleaning effort after weeks, but it's clear this gym prioritizes profits over health and safety. Last year there was a case of hand foot and mouth going around, because of the lack of cleaning.

I joined the gym specifically for the pool and hot tub. The pool is supposed to be heated but even in this intense summer heat, the pool is freezing. I by no means want a hot pool but I would like to not shiver while using it. Upon complaint they guaranteed me the pool stays at 83 degrees. Many have complained to my knowledge. Nothing is being done. The hot tub, almost every time I go is not working or closed for maintenance. I’ve even been told by others that have been going to this gym longer than I have say that this is a constant problem. Also, the bleech smell in the pool area is incredibly intense. Hopefully this review will be considered and changes made. Side note, i have neck and back issues . So as of now pool exercises and hot tub are the most beneficial to me. I would like to have a better experience.

Management is on a power trip for how poorly this place is run now. A regular seemed to have lost her phone on Thursday 6/12 and one of the male managers said she had it in her backpack and basically accused her of just trying to cause problems, then asked her to leave and threatened to call the cops. The girl actually did loose her phone, someone else accidentally took it with them and BROUGHT IT BACK to the gym to be returned… incredible lack of compassion and customer service skills.

I pay a lot of money every month to workout in a garbage facility! All the hand attachments for the cables there’s literally one of each for the entire gym floor every time you need something you gotta go on a 10 minute hunt to go run the block around the gym to look for the hand attachments like a rope or a curl bar for the cables. If you go to any other gym, they have like 10 Rope attachments Throughout the gym floor. Pay a lot of money to work out a facility and when something breaks it stays broken for months. It’s really ridiculous. The lake press has been broke for like six months now all the equipment is complete shit. The hours are terrible for a giant facility. It should be 24 hours or at least better hours than what they got going on now. All my years of working out in a gym this gym by far is the worst and every way Even the hours Of operation are terrible They’re barely open. Me and my mom joined l a fitness and a month in.They were hounding and harassing, her for payment that her insurance covered. Her insurance covered 500 for the year. We were not told that the personal trainer would cost 289. The personal trainer was 250 plus there was a $50 initiation fee, which made no sense. Also, she has a member's fee, which was $50 for the beginning of the month and 50 for the end of the month. Please. Plus taxes, which brought it out to 106, and some change. Basically, it was a scam to take the whole 500 within 1 month. After going back-and-forth with management, it was resolved, But we're not satisfied, and we have terminated our membership and we'll no longer be going back with them. Unsatisfied customer pS my mother said the trainer was nice but how they went about management was not. I had highly recommend this gym for her to go and did not expect such service that we received.
But Mike assured me that he would handle everything. Because she was receiving so many calls. In one month of her starting service

This location is a scam. I signed up in April. I was sold a deal: sign up, pay for the first 3 months discounted for April and May, but then when May came, I was charged for the month additionally already paid for 2 months up front, and then a week later I was charged $60 for the yearly payment, so it came out to around $167. Scammers. I would recommend using your insurance to go to all locations and not have to deal with this.

In mid-November 2024, I joined the LA Fitness Club in Orange City, to strictly take advantage of their indoor swimming pool facility. It was getting too cold for me to use my own pool. When signing up, I was assured that their indoor pool temperature was kept between 83-85 degrees. For the first 4 weeks of my membership, I used the pool almost daily. Although, I only planned on being a member until mid-March 2025 when my outdoor pool with solars, would have similar warm water temperatures, I was considering extending my membership to use their pool on inclement weather days. However, after about 4 weeks, the LA Fitness pool was closed for about 2 weeks, because of pool heating problems, and another undisclosed pool issue. Right after Christmas, the pool reopened, and the water temperature problem seemed to be fixed. I used the pool almost daily until the end of January 2025 (one month) although the water temperature seemed to slowly drop daily below the advertised 83-85 degrees. I even started wearing a water thermo shirt to swim in the cooler water. Finally of February 2nd, I decided the water was just too cold to continue exercising in this pool because of lack of heat Shortly after, virtually no one was using the cold pool, and to date, March 23, 2025 the pool still does not have heat. I have contacted the staff on the status of the pool multiple times, and the answer I receive is "the heating element(s) are on back order, and no time table on when the pool heaters will be operational." I have since terminated my gym membership, because during the 18 weeks that I have been an active member, in only approximately 6-7 weeks was the water temperature even close to the advertised 83-85 degrees, and 11/12 weeks the pool was either closed, or too cold to swim in. In closing, I am 82 years old, and virtually any medical article you read states that elderly folks should adhere to swimming in water temperatures ranging between 80-86. I must mention that a fair number of the members using this pool for exercise/rehabilatation are senior citizens.

I've been going to this gym since it opened around 2010 super impressed at first but over the years it has definitely aged I pretty much exclusively use the pool because it's the only reliably heated pool in the area. There are some serious problems with this facility I'll focus on the pool but there may be other areas the locker room should be completely redone whoever's idea was to put carpet in a locker room is crazy they really should look at the Port Orange LA fitness as a model they have small tile floors big wide benches they use air dryers instead of paper towels so you don't have paper towels all over the place. At the very least replace the carpet it smells like dirty socks all the time. The big issue I have is the pool it is constantly broken as of right now it's been closed for about a month because they can't get the heater fixed I don't know what reason it is but it's not a good look. They also have no way of broadcasting information to members of which I drive about 30 minutes to get to this gym when things are not in working order so if the pool is broken I don't find out until I get there the app has no information about the status of any particular facility. I resort to having to call the gym every single time I get ready to drive down there and for the last month their pool has still not been fixed. I wished I lived closer to Port Orange and I would just go there exclusively but I do enjoy that facility much more than the one in Orange City and they have a lot of work to do.

I have come here before and always had a decent service as I am in and out town for military travel and only come home to visit family. This morning I tried for the 3day membership to see if I should just buy a pass. I got here at 6am after traveling all the way from COLORADO. I immediately went to the desk stating after filling out the online forms I still hadn’t received the email. I got confirmation texts but not the email. The front desk said unfortunately I can’t do those requests so you’ll have to come back at 9am. What’s the point of the online paperwork? It also says nothing about you having to come in at certain time to be approved. 3rd, why have employees at a time during the week where working or traveling classes normally come into gyms.

Needless to say having pre work out jitters, having to use the bathroom, and completely rerouting the whole morning.

I joined because I wanted to use the pool year round. The heater has been broken for months. When I inquire I am given the runaround: parts ordered, etc. Is overnight delivery even a thing these people have heard of? I get that the HEADS don't want to spend money but the heater is original to the building and they keep stringing the pool users along with EXCUSES that keeps their fees coming in. I called last week, reached a new hire who has either not been trained properly for customer service or is poor at his job. He could have easily placated me but did not care to put forth the effort. I have been told that gyms in general don't care and this experience supports that.

I’ve been coming to this gym consistently 4-5 times a week for 2 years. Staff is friendly and overall gym is kept decently clean. The reason I can’t rate it higher is due to the fact they take very long to fix their machines. I don’t know the semantics of their maintenance process, but 1-2 months for a machine to be sitting around seems excessive. They only have 2 leg press machines and 1 of the 2 has been broken for almost 2 months. 2 of the 3 stairmasters, their most used cardio machines, have been broken for roughly a month. One was fixed but it didn’t even last a week before they broke down again. I believe the gym would really benefit from a makeover especially after the last hurricane broke through their ceiling and had an entire area of machines off limits until they fixed it. I also think reducing the amount of some of their less used cardio machines in the second floor and replacing it with machines used more often would be an added plus.

I’m disgusted that my 2-page review is too long for posting so here are my cliff notes
1. On numerous Sunday’s one is welcomed with the smell of overnight garbage.
2. The music is frequently played too loud. They should realize that 99% of us bring our own music so there is no need to have any sort of music blasting thru the overhead sound system. The other 1% are too old and are not interested in listening to music.
3. This gym has turned into a Starbucks without the coffee. Conversations amongst members are more like shouting matches. This unethical behavior has turned into allowing people to sing out loud to themselves or talk on the phone while working out. Respect thy neighbor!
4. Basic gym etiquette and human decency failures, such as, their disregard in racking the weights, wiping off their sweat on a machine, using the gym floor as a personal running track, pouring water on the coals in the sauna, urinating in the sauna, and dropping fecal matter in the shower stalls.
5. Locker rooms, infested with bacteria and mold due to a constant damp and wet carpet.
6. Equipment consistently breaks down at an alarming rate and fixing it in a timely manner is unforeseen. For example, 2 out of 3 stair climbers has been broken for 3 months; along with a half a dozen other machines.
7. Equipment and attachments are so antiquated is a reason for the breakdowns, fraying of attachment handles or rusted and worn out is another reason for upgrade.

With all this negativity, I should find another gym but do I have to? Management needs to fix the issue? This gym has been going downhill quickly over the past 3 years, thus if you are not a member I would seriously consider going elsewhere until management breathes some life into this dump!

I joined this gym when I first moved to the area, mainly for the convenience of its sauna and pool. After a year of membership, I’ve reached my breaking point. The equipment is outdated, with many machines rusting and falling apart. Never enough equipment for the crowds of the afternoon, lack of dumbbells. The gym is not the cleanest, and more often than not, they run out of sanitizing wipes for the machines. Even though manager and staff changed a bit, the front desk employees are still rude and inattentive, often more focused on chatting with each other than assisting members. I recently waited to ask a question while one employee was on the phone, and the other two just kept talking to eachother. The sauna is overcrowded, especially between 6-8 pm, to the point where it becomes uncomfortable and cold. The pools are frequently dirty, and some areas smell moldy. I’m canceling my membership. I have been trying gyms and switched to a gym chain that offers better equipment, cleanliness, and overall service.

Funny how the sign at the front desk says leave us a “Google review.” If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This gym’s only saving grace is the extremely kind front desk and maintenance staff. Hope you don’t plan on using the pool as the heaters don’t work. The jacuzzi is yellow. The bathroom’s smell. And God forbid you want to use a stairmaster because they only have three. Two have been down for well over three months and the only working one is covered in paint splatters, a button missing, and as of today it’s no longer working. The machines are rusted out and the ceiling leaks. This gym is poor and barely holding on. Absolutely disgusting.

All the LA and Esportas fitness are nice and new machines except this gym. The stair master machines have not been working for weeks now. The place stinks all the time and the roof is leaking. They keep saying they will do something about it but nothing is done. Is one of the oldest gyms so far and is so unpleasant to workout here and no one is doing anything about it.

This is my home gym. I’m glad because it’s bigger and nicer than some other locations. Great basketball games on week nights , pretty clean, and lots of space between all the equipment. Also the girl at the front desk is amazing.

The staff is friendly however when compared to the LAFitness in Lake Mary this gym needs a major face lift.

Old equipment, none of the newest machines, carpet is old and worn.

The location to my home is why come and the snack bar, otherwise I would prefer the lake mary facility.

I also visit LA fitness around the country and this is near the bottom in regard to equipment and cleaning

This place is in serious need of a refresh, old rusty equipment is everywhere. Carpeting has multiple holes and tears, why they put carpeting in gym is a mystery. All of the equipment is out dated and way behind other La Fitness locations in the local area. The men's locker room is worn out and recently someone pulled down and broke some molding along the top, the sinks and mirrors are beyond repair and looks like a gas station bathroom.
It remains unclear if there is a corporate plan to close this facility, but it looks like they are going to watch this location collapse.

I’ve waited over a month for them to fix the stair climbers (2/3 are broken) and they still have no clue when they’ll be fixed🙃 so I’m switching gyms. The staff is nice my machines are absolute garbage.

The esporta in lake Mary is much nicer but I’ll probably switch to crunch bc it’s closer and has plenty of working stair climbers.

So I’m here on business for a week and Thought I was going to a nice gym… Til the front desk girl Mel, Melly whatever her
Name is was rude as hell with an attitude the whole time. I tried getting a day pass 3 times using 3 different e mails with her NOT HELPING at all and their system messing up so instead of my 3 free days she made me pay $20 for a day pass she made sure to say “ends when we close today” instead of the normal 24 hr pass that you can use for 2 days. So yeah I’d go just as long as she isn’t working the front desk 👍

The staff is very attentive. It is a nice gym. The gym needs to change the machines, some are rusty and old. It needs a lot of cleaning and maintenance. But there are also no rules. There are no signs anywhere reminding people that they must shower before entering the pool. Almost everyone enters without showering. It is disgusting to see this. Not to mention the hot tub
