I visited LA Fitness – 4792 S Kirkman Rd, Orlando, FL to tour the gym and sign up, but the customer service was far below expectations. The staff member did not show me the facility, was rude, and showed no professionalism.
After this experience, I will not return to this location, and I do not recommend it to anyone.

I do love going to LA Fitness. I've been on and off for years. This location is clean, everyone is nice, very spacious, and zero problems. The hours are great, and the prices are somewhat reasonable. Start up costs are pricy, but if you can afford it, keep going.

Just had my worst experience EVER at a gym at this LA Fitness location. Came to the gym at 1043 to LOCKED DOORS. That's right, folks, LA Fitness claims to have hours till 11pm, but they apparently don't want you to come to this location after 1030ish for they don't care about your business. Was greeted in the locker room by a female at 1045. At 1051 in the Sauna by the same female who gives me a weird gesture as she opens the sauna doors and does a worthless dry mop with some spray chemicals. Nice job!! She keeps the door open, telling me to leave in her own special way. At 1055 the same female tells me I have to leave the sauna NOW. Thank u so much for the friendly service. At 1057 I enter the shower to be greeted with a Oh My God by said UNPROFESSIONAL LATIN FEMALE JANITOR. AT 1058 IM GREETED by the same gentleman who had the door locked,,,Who tells me I HAVE TO GO NOW. I'm absolutely disgusted with the absolute WORST AND MOST DISRESPECTFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL service I have ever received at a gym that I overpay for. This is FLORIDA CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ITS PEAK. I will Never frequent this disgusting trashy place again. SO UPSET

11/6/2025 8AM Denied my entry. Male Front desk and Female manager in charge told me I could not use their club as I do not have access to this club. I pay for all access membership and double checked with my home club. I have no problem with any other clubs . Not sure what the issue was as I had no issue entering the day before.

This gym is great. Staff is kind. Clean gym. But, never in my life have I ever seen how badly the dumbbells get mixed up. The people who go here are the problem. I really enjoy LA Fitness, and my wife and I have been happy members for a couple of years. Unfortunately, this location has been a bit of a challenge. One of the reasons we chose LA Fitness is for the kids’ club service, which we pay for, but at this location it hasn’t worked out well. The little elderly lady with glass watching the kids is very kind, but she really can’t handle the kids. She can’t even pick them up and always calls us back because she isn’t able to manage them, which makes it hard for us to actually get a work out in and there is only two LA fitnesses in an extremely large range that have kids daycare and this is one of them. So this location is not an option. This is really unfair as the only other that has the kids daycare doesn’t have a swimming pool.

Terrible service. I’m from another unit and came to train at the LA Kirkman location. My card didn’t go through due to an issue with the gym system, and I was prevented from working out. The Brazilian consultant was very ironic, implying the card was declined due to insufficient funds (60$ lol) — which was not the case. It was clearly a system error. I won’t be coming back here. 👎🏽

It should be very telling that the only reviews that are responded to, are the positive ones and that the company does not respond to any negative reviews. I have been in the market for a Gym and Trainer for a little while now, and decided to give the LA Fitness near my home on Kirkman a shot. I ended up getting the trial pass and scheduled an appointment, so I could get a tour of the location since it was my first time. Upon arriving at the desk and checking in, I was told no one was available to show me around, and I could check in with Albert after my workout. I had no clue where various pieces of equipment were, the various amenities the club has to offer, and I was not able to ask about personal training. Needless to say, I ended up leaving my workout early, and don’t really have the intention to return. The club loses out on the opportunity to make significant money when it treats newcomers like this.

There was a situation at the basketball court while me and a couple of the guys we work with came in to play basketball while the court was completely empty we played on one side of the court and one guy came in and wanted to play with us , when we told him we are just playing us 4v4 the other side was wide open he could of easly played on the other side but interrupted our game becuase he wanted to play with us so bad

We than Just all of us decided to leave and spoke with the lady upfront and she didn’t resolve the problem the situation could of easily been resolved by letting the other Guy know to play on the other side that nobody was playing at , it’s fully understandable if there was 5v5 full court playing but there was literally us 4v4 on on side and guy just couldn’t take the fact that we just wanted to play us 4v4 n made such a big issue

A situation occurred in the basketball court area on where me and a friend group were playing casual basketball when we got approached by 2 people and started getting harassed to the point where they were telling us they were going to force us out the gym and didn't allow us to workout. i come to this gym almost every single day here on daniel’s road. i also got over 7 of my friends to buy and pay for a membership. And today we went to play basketball. the court was wide open with just 2 players on the other side of the half court. my friends and I (8 of us total) went to play on the other side of the court (completely wide open)

everything was great until 2 men enter the court and demand to play with my friends and I. we politely refused and requested if they wanted to play then they could play on the other side. they said “no we want to play with you all” and proceeded to stand there and claim if we didn’t play with them then we can’t play. the argument went on with them using intimidation to tell us to leave. so my 7 friends and i were forced to leave.

i involved the staff and they did not help. they also didn’t seem to care and maybe thought because we were a younger group that it didn’t matter.

but i’m extremely disappointed. if the problem persists i will ensure myself and 7 other people who pay for an LA fitness membership cancel and go elsewhere. it’s a public gym, no one owns the gym we all share, and ultimately the men who came to us did not want to understand that they don’t own the basketball court, we all share. and the staff unfortunately did nothing to help resolve the problem but laugh and say “this is why i think people who play basketball here are childish” which i took extreme offense to as i was simply trying to understand why my friends and i couldn’t play on an OPEN half court.

Today is May 31st 2025 I reached out to LA fitness so that I can obtain information about certain programs when I call there a young man named Colin picked up the phone he could not answer any simple questions he told me that he will place me on hold and that I will be able to speak to one of the agents that can answer my question he kept me on hold for at least 20 minutes then all of a sudden the phone call just dropped so I called back again he told me as he was getting ready to switch to the other line that the phone call dropped then he told me that he was unable to answer any questions that I had to make an appointment
if the representatives are like this I will not spend my money on working out there he was very unprofessional he didn't know what he was supposed to do and he didn't know what type of plans programs about the company it seems like he was just there to get a paycheck side note don't put any employee to answer the phone if they do not know what plans programs and special promotion that your company offers

I’ve really enjoyed my experience at the LA Fitness in Metro West. The location is in a very nice area, and the overall vibe feels clean, safe, and welcoming. The staff is always kind and respectful, everyone greets you with a smile and makes you feel comfortable.

One of the things I appreciate most is that the gym isn’t overly crowded, even during peak hours. I can come in around 5 PM and still get a full workout in without waiting around for equipment. It’s such a refreshing change from other gyms that are packed in the evenings.

Absolutely do NOT recommend this La Fitness! The gym at 4792 S Kirkman Rd is an absolute disgrace! Easily the worst fitness facility I have ever been to. The staff is rude, incompetent, and downright awful. I witnessed three male managers behaving in the most disgusting way—insulting a woman working out next to me. It was shocking, to say the least. These guys clearly have serious testosterone and self-esteem issues if they need to degrade customers to feel important.

The gym is filthy, the equipment is worn out, and the pool is so neglected, frogs will probably start living in it soon! The locker rooms are always dirty, the place smells bad, and the overall atmosphere is just terrible.

Thankfully, I switched to La Fitness Windermere, and the difference is night and day. Over there, the staff is respectful, the gym is much cleaner, and the overall experience is so much better. If you value your time and sanity, stay FAR AWAY from La Fitness on Kirkman Rd. Total garbage!

Huge row of benches in front of free weights so even on busy days you can find a spot. Nice open area with fake grass for HIIT workouts, stretching, etc. includes a sled, battle ropes, boxes for jumping and plyometrics, etc.

Theres a big studio for classes.

There are specific training areas.

No pool.

Facilities are always pretty clean and there’s a sauna.

Offers classes but have not been to many. I see the dance class is really popular with a big studio

This is about as mid a gym as there is. Has all the base level machines and dumbbells go up to 100. Other gyms have every machine and weights going up to 125 at least. The reason for the one star is the complete lack of service within the building. If I’m here five times a week I am battling songs dropping every ten seconds probably four times a week. Idk what the deal is, whether it’s the area or building itself, but no matter if I’m 5G or LA wifi I have this issue all the time. It’s 2024, get the connection figured out if you’re gonna charge what you’re charging.

Couldn’t even answer questions about my membership I was trying to be patient and kind, but she was just being rude and dry. This is exactly why I don’t come to this gym and I drive all the way to the signature club in Windermere. Really disappointed

The team members here from front desk to Ms Sol who keeps the lockers and place clean are phenominal. The environment; five star cleanlines and equiment are all up-to-date and all working.

Taylor was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and attentive, making the entire membership process smooth and straightforward. She was very enthusiastic about fitness and her genuine interest in finding the right plan for me helped me start my journey. 10/10 would recommend!
