This is my favorite LA Fitness location...clean, vibrant, and well-equipped. They do NEED TO DESIGNATE THE SAUNA, POOL AND JACUZZI A "NO PHONE ZONE." I don't appreciate loud, vulgar language when I'm trying to relax in the jacuzzi, after a workout.

A whole gym like this and there’s only one seated cable row machine. Every time I want to use it, I either have to fight for it, or wait behind two or three people. The Crunch Fitness nearby has five cable row machines and even that isn’t enough .I honestly don’t know what the gym owner was thinking buying whole bunch of useless machines instead of the crucial and frequently used ones.

I’ve been going to this LA Fitness since 2015, and honestly, not much has changed in 10 years. Most of the machines are the same and many of them are falling apart. The bench press isn’t even screwed in correctly, which is extremely unsafe. The carpet has multiple holes, and several machines are broken.

The only thing keeping me coming back are the workers — they’re always friendly and helpful. This could truly be a great gym, but it needs serious upgrades. New carpets, new machines, and some overall maintenance would make a world of difference. I really hope they invest in fixing up this location soon, because it definitely needs it.

The people that work at this gym need to monitor the free weight area much better! There are people consistently on the Smith machines not even using the Smith machine but just using dumbbells or doing ab work on an adjustable bench underneath the Smith machine while others have to sit and wait for extended periods of time to even be able to use it because of people like that. The managers should address people like this letting them know they cannot occupy a machine that they're not even using. One day I literally had to wait 30 minutes to be able to use one of these machines because of people like this. LA fitness your people need to do better because these things should not be happening. I have been a member for over 30 years and I'm actually thinking about canceling my membership because of issues like this that need to be corrected and are not being corrected.

Our first and last time here. We wanted to visit a New LA fitness because the one we go to is on a busy road and it was on Friday . We were disappointed some of the machines don't work, the rowers don't work they need to be toss away . The carpet on one side was broken, one of the leg extension machines don't move to adjust . Overall I'm glad I go to another location I wouldn't pay to go here . They need a lot of work done . The basketball court , the room with the spinning bycyles , the punching bags and the equipment in the second floor was the only things I seen in good condition . Even the person in the front was too busy on his personal phone to say bye .

I have worked in the fitness industry for over 10 years. That being said La Fitness has to be the dirtiest gym around, all goes here, worst customer service. They allow all their members do whatever they please. I like to use the sauna after a workout, however it always stinks and all goes in the sauna.. One night some lady was greasing herself with oil and splashing the oil all over the walls and benches with some weird tools, so gross and unsanitary. Last night another lady was working out in the sauna with dumbells she brought in. People should not be working out in the sauna or talking on video calls. I miss the days where you see staff wiping the equipment and asking the member to re-rack the weights. All you see here is all the staff sitting on there phones at the front desk. We are about to switch over to crunch fitness in all honesty. At least there gyms are cleaner.

Me parece increíble la obligación y cobro de membresía, he venido 2 veces, la primera vez con tal de no salirme ya que según no podía me dejaron con un cobro de 10$ mensual más la anualidad, luego de 2 años sin usarlo vengo a cancelar en su TOTALIDAD y me llega el correo que me cobrarán 2 meses más ósea hasta abril!! Por cual motivo? No obstante que tenía que hacer acto de presencia para que me cancelaran la membresía!! Esto lo hacen con la finalidad de “convencerte” de que no lo hagas!!! I want to express my complete outrage regarding what happened yesterday in the child care area at LA Fitness. A female staff member with curly, orange-dyed hair aggressively and unnecessarily yelled at my daughter right in front of me—completely inappropriate behavior for someone working with children.

I am deeply concerned about how she might treat children when parents are not around. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any setting, especially in a place where we trust others to care for our children.

I’ve been a member for years and have never experienced anything like this. I demand immediate action be taken to investigate this individual and ensure that no child is ever mistreated by her again. As parents, our trust should never be taken lightly.

I strongly urge other parents to stay alert and report any irregularities.

This place is always dirty, The sauna is filthy and dusty all the time when I go. The hot tub is always dirty and environment slime all around the hot tub. People don’t shower before they go into hot tub. This is really gross. Employees should be enforcing the rules if they are going in with regular clothes and not showering disgusting. I’ve been a member for years, I would just like a clean gym to go to. Plus’s this gym should try get a swimsuit water extractor or bathing suit spinner. This gym needs something for us swimmers. If this place don’t improve, I’ll be canceling my membership.

Whatever you do, don’t sign up for personal training with Stephen. He is a big fat liar. He offered me eight sessions per month and said I would only have to pay for six. Well, when it was time for me to schedule my sessions he said he was only able to give me one free session per month after I had already been at the gym for one week and already paid upfront for six months.

Wow this was a horrible experience. I stopped by yesterday in the evening while on a walk with my son and another kid I was watching. I’m pregnant and was told that I needed to workout daily to make sure I have a healthy pregnancy, so I was really interested in getting a membership here. The lady in the front desk was extremely rude to me for some reason? And she had the audacity to demand if I was the kid’s mother… Like what? I was trying to ask questions about getting a membership but I guess her internalized misogyny made her immediately hate me and she was incapable of helping me in any way. So she very rudely passed me off to her coworker, like I was bothering her, and he was also extremely unhelpful. Since I have a toddler, I was very interested in their daycare option and would have loved a tour, some information, something. When I inquired about it, the worker pointed somewhere off in the gym and said “it’s there”. It’s absolutely unacceptable the way I was treated and mind you I’ve never met these people in my life, they were complete strangers. Like they had no social skills whatsoever. I was really hoping to get in shape for this pregnancy but after being treated this way, and on top of that reading the other reviews about the daycare being really bad and plenty of other issues… yeah, no thanks. Take my advice and spend your money somewhere else (especially if you’re a woman because apparently you’ll be attacked by other women working here). Oh, and I was asking about any options for switching locations once I would receive a membership because I would be moving in a few months. They said nope that I would have to start a new membership all over again once I moved, meaning I would have to pay for the membership fee, the annual fee, etc all over again in a matter of two months. Yeah no thanks? That’s literally hundreds of dollars, that’s insane. Trust me, get another membership in another gym, there are many much more affordable options with workers who have actual social skills and won’t try to attack you and treat you like you’re actually welcome there.

I'm not gonna recommend going here. It's not clean overall, and the bathrooms for men and women, especially men, are disgusting, and soilage is presently seen. I told the manager Roger, and he gave the facial expression of "o well, that's nice" and continued to work on his computer without a reply to my question and concerns.

Please read this thoroughly before you sign up.

Do not leave your kids in the daycare here. The staff sits on their cellphone and doesn’t watch the kids. My child was dragged around with no help from the employee, with large scratch marks on her back that broke the skin and hurt for days.

The employees treated it as no big deal until I spoke to management, did not even apologize. The manager made no assurances to prevent it from happening again, just wanted me to go away

Also, lots of sanitary issues here. The pool cloudy for days with nothing to prevent people swimming in dirty water. Sewage backing up and overflowing into the bathrooms and saunas which then smell for days. Not uncommon to find especially gross surprises in the shower.

I worked with the gym due to low cost and amenities but it’s not worth it if your kid gets hurt or you get a staph infection.

Update Dec 2024: As someone who consistently swims laps, it is disconcerting that this pool has been missing a floating lane rope for several months now. If you are not a lap swimmer, you might not realize the importance. Either way, whether you understand the importance or not, the management needs to purchase a floating lane rope so that those of us who swim laps can do so without it being a "free for all." Without the rope, other swimmers feel the freedom to enter your space and bop around. Or, the swimmer next to you creates waves. Please! We've been loyal members since LA Fitness came to Orlando.
2022: This is a very clean gym. The manager and staff are friendly and work hard to keep everything in good working order and clean. The pool is the cleanest in Orlando! A clear, healthy swimming pool is very important. Thank you!

Gym wasn’t closed (Friday, Jan 3rd, 2024, 8:55pm) and they shut lights off had to go down the stairs, almost fell. A lot of other people were still working out. The only reason I went here for 6 yrs is because the kids club employee were so good. Knowing the kids and knowing how to work with kids on the spectrum and complicated kids gain their trust and I been in a lot of esports (LA fitness) kids club in orlando and Kissimmee. I put before 5 start but now with the employees we’re fired all of them in the kids club without a real reason and they searching with new ones is totally 0/5 starts Cause the rest of the gym is old with broken molding machines, bathroom and shower, stinky Clorox with urine pool are so old disgusting. Honestly, I do read the comments and most of them are accurate, but I have time and time again seen the staff re-rack the weights and sweep. Sometimes you will see some members with bunch of dumbbell in front of them and do not bother to put it in correct order. I can’t blame the staff for that, it’s just people do not have proper etiquettes. We are all adults, there’s no reason why a staff member have to pick up used wipes after you, but here we are. I have been to many LA fitness, and it’s almost all the same, except for some few that really do go after members dirtying the gym. I honestly, go there, get my workout and leave. It’s a commercial gym where I have to share with people and I know most people lack discipline and maturity to clean after themselves.

I worked out at this gym until the coronavirus pandemic. I told them at the main desk I was quitting LA Fitness because of my health concerns (severe asthma & 79 years old). I have not returned in 4+ years.
I just found I have been paying them for these 4+ years for nothing.
The response from the organization has been 'tough luck - you did not fill out the paperwork.'

LA Fitness is a low-rent operation where my case demonstrates ~ zero concern for individual customers.

If you do join them, know you must be very careful to avoid being cheated.

Definitely a LGBTQ gym and rough crowd. They don’t enforce any of their rules. Cell-phone use,, watching videos, gym bags all over the floor, people hogging machines. I’ve waited at least 45 minutes for a machine and 30 minutes is common due to completely inconsiderate people. Ridiculous. Would give 0 stars if I could. Check it out and see for yourself if I’m not 100% correct.

One other thing. There are ABSOLUTELY NO SAFETY CLIPS in the ENTIRE gym.
I’ve never been to a gym without safety clips. Better have a damn good spotter.

Most unorganized gym. I’m not sure if it’s the members who don’t know how to match number to number like putting their weights up in the same spot they got it from. If you workout here, put the 40lb dumbbell to the 40lb spot.
But I leave it to the employees to teach and abide to their own rules. Other esportas gyms are a lot better than this kids playhouse.

As soon as I entered, the first thing I noticed was the cleanliness and energy of the gym. I was introduced to a nice gentleman named Hercules, who did an excellent job at answering all of my questions and keeping my interest during the tour. If you’re looking to decide on a gym, I highly recommend coming in to see Hercules. I would say his radiating positive energy is one of the contributing factors to this gym.

I show up to the gym to use a 3 day guest pass with my niece and received the worst service possible. I’ve been communicating with a guy called Sam all morning over text to set up my meeting. I asked about bringing my niece, the location and time which were all confirmed. As soon as we arrive, the front desk directs us over to Frank (member services rep) who automatically thought we were lying about previously attending the location. He states that he couldn’t find me in the system even though i had an email and text proving that I signed up at that location. He then proceeds to state that I “may have” signed up at the Michigan Street location and that it was a rough location… Furthermore, he gave us pushback on my niece attending the gym even though she didn’t have a Florida Issued ID. She’s had a school ID and yet we were turned away.

** FRANK is mad because he doesn’t make enough sales on a monthly basis to feed himself at night. How embarrassing that he doesn’t know how to properly help a walk in guest. You need to be retrained Frank, she had a school ID which is completely valid **

Ive been working at a gym for over 2 years and know how this process work. Yes, the process may vary from gym to gym but it’s all roughly the same. I just came to use the gym/ pool with my niece and was met with a guy who had the most pompous attitude. We spent money to travel to this location to receive the worst customer service possible.

La guardería ( daycare) de este lugar es lo más terrible que puede existir , las chicas que cuidan a los niños son demasiado irresponsables no son cuidadosas ni están al pendiente de los niños ! Mi hija de 18 meses no la estaban supervisando y se lanzó de un lugar de juego hacia el piso y se dobló la pierna gracias a que estas personas no estaban cuidándola ! Pésimo servicio

New staff and management since my last visit here. Significant change in culture. Clients sitting on counters, disrespectful of rules that are clearly posted. This was a favorite gym of mine previously and now it's not worth the extra drive.

The south conway gym can't hire a tech to fix the hot tub. It's been cold for months so that means I got to drive way over to the other gyms to use hot tub at the different locations. It would be nice to sit in hot water tub after working out for 2.5 hours. I hope they can get hot tub fixed soon lol

Entrenaba en otro gym y me cambié a este por que pensé que el trato y todo era diferente , hoy vine a entrenar y me llevo la sorpresa que cierran la cancha disque clases privadas , cuando uno se viene a inscribir le pintan maravillas y jamás me dijeron q no podía usar la cancha , mis rutinas solo son funcional no necesito máquinas , en la entrada el personal no supo ayudarme solo decirme que me vaya a otro Esporta o venga en otro horario , mi tiempo es limitado y yo uso mi tiempo en el momento q a mi me convenga , esto es una pésima experiencia y exijo me devuelvan mi fee anual y mi mes , deberían de contratar gente que sepa resolver y no tratar mal , hace dos años también estuve aquí y me salí y volví pensando que sería diferente y es peor

Rodger was wonderful, he paid attention to me and made me feel like my concerns on getting back into the gym was important! Rodger’s Customer Service was more than I expected, he was the only one that gave me the time of day when I waited for so long just to sign up, but Rodger made me feel important with his professional motives and attitude to bring the positive energy into the room! Rodger also helped my mom get signed up and I am just so thankful to be able to visit this location due to being able to be taken of by Rodger! Thank you for the great Customer treatment!

I enjoy the Aerobic classes at this gym. My favorite class is with Connie V. She's knowledgeable on what part of the body you are working out. Music is poppin. Its so enjoyable you don't mind the sweat.

Esporta is an older and smaller LA fitness. The equipment is older, and this location is pretty small. It does the job for what you need, but peak times are hard as they don't have a lot of equipment. Cleaning crew is on point! You'll see them all the time cleaning & wiping things down in and out the locker rooms. Definitely a plus being that I travel a lot and go to a lot of gyms.

Great place to get your physical goals met. The team of experts work with you and there are many programs like Zumba, yoga, cycling class and more. Roger was helpful and encouraging. The place is clean and staff is pleasant.

Facilities are not good broken lockers. Not as much variety of equipment as other locations trainers do follow what you’re told when you sign up and beware the lady who has a silver tongue she’ll talk you into a trainer that you don’t really need and then bother you.

It would be nice if they had deadlift platforms. There’s plenty of cardio equipment here, though. The sauna has the knob removed so the temperature can’t be changed

First time coming into a Esporta gym n Orland Fl. Originally a Long Island,
LA fitness member. My daughter and I wanted to start our first year of the first day working out together. As soon as we came in to the gym, we were greeted with smiles and enthusiasm. A beautiful woman name Irene approached us and asked us if we were OK? Like most women, I feel very awkward and unsure in the gym. I have past injuries and conditions. I first was hesitant to ask for help. Irene is an angel on earth! You could feel her positive energy, her love for exercise and most importantly, she’s very knowledgeable. I have really bad knees Irene showed me exercise I’ve never seen before. She is very patient and spoke to me in an understanding manner. I wish I could take her to New York with me! Thank you for your kindness and your time.😘🥰

If your workout includes sauna, this is not the place. Sauna didn’t work for many months, and after “fixing”, now it doesn’t heat up the room, max temp is 120F. I sweat more outside than in their sauna.

So the one trainer completely blocks off the whole area where one can train their abs or even stretch for a group of 4 can do a group workout. The worst!

Never thought I would be rating my gym bad but they, the trainers, and whoever approved to close off a whole section, more than 25% of the gym floor, the ONLY area where you can stretch on the floor, do ab workouts on the floor, completely close down for a group of 7 to do their group workout is the opposite of service, access for the vast majority of paying members to get a good workout in. Mind you, this is during 6-7 pm at the peak of when the gym is full. IThey kicked me off the fake grass area. The trainer area use to me blocked off half of the grass, now it’s all of it! The other trainer was full of attitude any other members just grabbing a mat to find another place to workout, she grabbed the other mats which were not being used and put them aside so no one else come in the area. This is terrible.

I always go to the area next to where you do Zumba to do abs and stretch exercise and now they blocked you can't use it. You pay for not even half of the gym since always busy and now the block the only area I go to do abs , legs and other exercise they block the entire area. I am going to place a complaint with the BBB too

Definitivamente es imposible cerrar una membresía con este gym. He llamado para cancelarla y me dicen que tengo que ir en persona de lunes a viernes de 8am-5pm cuando es mi horario de trabajo. Informan que los fines de semana vaya al de la curry Ford y l@ manager no está. Vine ayer y el manager no está y voy hoy el manager está en su break que regrese en una hora o vaya a la curry Ford. Me parece una falta de respeto, burlarse del tiempo ajeno.
