As a loyal member for over 10 years, I’ve watched this gym decline significantly under the current management. The service quality has dropped, cleanliness has dropped drastically, and maintenance issues are frequently ignored. I quit this gym after 18 years of membership. They read this post and asked me to change it and rate them higher! Almost all recumbent and stationary bikes skip, treadmills work in part, and machines are not routinely checked. TVs on cardio machines mostly do not work. No clipboard for repair and salaried people do not care. When staff are told about non-functioning equipment they argue, it's not their job or come back Thursday and tell the repair guy, then he makes excuses and does nothing. The biggest problem is the cardio exercise equipment and TVs, only a few work, if you work out here regularly you know which ones may work. Salaried Cleaning women stand around talking all day and do nothing. Women go into the men's locker room often to clean, and you must accommodate them, sometimes they converse while cleaning, while you are naked. Shower area floors are gross; you need to wear shower shoes. Sauna smells from sweaty occupants who dry their nasty gym clothes on the oven.

I had a very disappointing and misleading experience signing up at this LA Fitness location, specifically due to employee Justin Ashe. I made it clear from the start that I planned to bring my girlfriend with me regularly and asked whether my membership included guest access. Justin assured me that it did as long as I scanned in through the app. That was the only reason I signed up that day.

After joining, I was told guest access wasn’t actually included and would cost an additional $40/month. When I confronted Justin, he quickly offered a few guest passes, which made it obvious he already knew this would be an issue. That alone raised red flags.

He then tried to blame a “lack of communication” and claimed I was “too late” for the guest pass promotion. But that same day, I went to another LA Fitness location and verified that the exact same guest pass promo was still active. So his excuse was false.

In a later message, Justin admitted he just wanted to “get me on a cheaper deal,” without disclosing that he was removing the guest pass benefit. That’s not just a misunderstanding, that’s intentional misrepresentation.

I strongly advise anyone signing up here to get every detail in writing and verify everything before joining. I’m still waiting on a proper resolution. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic. Deceptive and disappointing.

We’ve been going to this location for some time now, and for the past six months it’s been a joke. It’s the most rundown location. And the issue with the homeless people and the locker rooms is getting out of hand. I understand people need a place to freshen up, my issue is that when an entire section is taken up with an open suitcase of trash , shoes and clothes, and garbage all over the counters and floor, it doesn’t make it worth the money I pay. My husband went to lock up his belongings, and opened a locker to find a pair of dirty khaki pants and a used cigarette, a week later he went back to check, it was still there. So that tells me the employees aren’t taking the time to check. I emailed corporate about this and I am still waiting on a response. Also when we signed up, they promised renovations, cryotherapy, etc. Still waiting for those…So I’m paying my membership and not getting all the perks promised with the membership. Yes there’s other locations, but honestly I might save my money and go to planet fitness instead. Because at this point the way La runs it’s on par with PF.

This is one of the better LA Fitnesses I've gone into. It's probably the largest. Things are nicely spread out and they even have one or two extra of some of the more popular machines. I've never seen that before. It looks well kept and clean (at least guy clean). I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon when my home gym would be fairly crowded and this place just had a light crowd.

The only complaint I have is the parking lot. I've never seen lanes so narrow. Whoever laid it out must think the entire world drives Minis, or compact cars from the 70s. If I stop by again I'll probably try to park in a less crowded part.

The prices and hours are not adequate, in addition to not having cleaning products for the machines such as disinfectant towels and paper or hand sanitizer. However, you have to be up to date with your membership payments. If you are late for a minute, they cancel your membership until you make the payment. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL. I was a member here years ago and I have returned to the area. This gym is still my favorite location but a big reason I go to LA Fitness is for the hot tub experience. This location has gone downhill. The hot tub is being used as a shaving commune by the older men. I have come here on different occasions and seen older men shaving their heads, face or other parts in the hot tub. Its beyond disgusting 🤮. I will be going to another location for a while until this get resolved.

I LOVE THIS GYM!! As soon as you walk into the gym, at the front desk the staff is immediately so kind, warm and welcoming. They are also VERY, very helpful with accommodating to every member’s questions.
The gym itself is always SO CLEAN & TIDY! Meaning, the weight floor, cardio area, the turf, bathroom, sauna, showers and pool area…are always nicely clean, tidy and sanitized.
The workout equipment is like brand new! Along with a diverse selection of machines to choose from.

The LA Fitness on Colonial Dr. is definitely the best one in Orlando. The little CrossFit area is much better than some other locations with more stuff. The basketball comp is pretty good overall. This review is for Eric Ingram. The best trainer I’ve met. Made a positive change in my life although I’m no longer a client because of location the least I could do is to recommend him to his future clients. Really listens and is careful to help you train to avoid old injuries that usually hurt when training alone. I was skeptical at first about his methods but if you follow his instructions you’ll feel better and see results in no time. He might be new to you but he has plenty of experience to really know how to get you to your goals. Best of luck!

Average location. Horrible staff. The membership sales employee, Eric (about 6’1, 190lbs and blond) is a horrible employee with an antagonistic personality. Quick to take your money, make it impossible to cancel the membership. The location is dirty and smells like sweaty feet. It is always packed no matter what time of the day you go. I’ve seen a couple of fights between members going there, so it is not a friendly environment.

Dust everywhere and the staff is not helpful at all, always pushing issues to somebody else and looking to sell you one of their PTs.

I will definitely recommend this gym to the public. It is very clean, organized and the staff is always available when needed. I do want to say that your staff member Hailey is a wonderful trainer and I will recommend her with no hesitation. Very knowledgeable and she pushes hard!
