I've been a gym member for 40 years and this gym is the worst. Staff mistreats it's members and is completely disrespectful and unprofessional. We are Seniors that mind our own business and just try and get a good workout. We had a trainer that disrespected and argued with my wife. He left the gym afterwords. On a second occasion a new Director, CD Dennison kicked my wife out of the Gym for opening a door to the Aerobics room. He failed to introduce himself, didnt discuss his concerns and then called the police. His behavior was reprehensible and completely uncalled for. After speaking with management we were assured we would receive an apology but they failed to follow up. Do not patronize this facility!

The showers are moldy everyday. Hair everywhere. The toilets are disgusting as well as the gym floors.

The elderly lady at the front stated my membership needed to be renewed when my renewal was in Oct or Nov and I pay a flat year rate every single year since covid with 0 issues. She denied me entry because I didn't have signature which I implied that I usually pay a 5$ anywhere in the US and assumed that wasnt true and turned me away from working out. And didn't even explain if this was a new policy if so I'm renewing my membership.

This signature club is a true scam. First time I tried the signature club and daycare. In order to do that I had to upgrade my membership for an extra $10 plus a “one time” upgrade fee of $12 to try the club. Oh and If you want to use the childcare expect to pay ANOTHER $20! Honestly you better off trying any other gym.

I was a member of this gym some time ago and it seemed like they let things go. A few of my complaints were ripped pads on the equipment, sauna that was broke for a year, no Internet, and no real area to do warm-up stretching, and abs. Pleased to say all of this has been reconciled. Not only is it convenient to be in the Alton Plaza, but the layout is perfect relative to lifetime fitness. Everything is on one floor, you can walk over and use the spin bikes whenever you want to warm up and you can literally park right in front of the front door… while nobody is afraid of a long walk that works out, It is a pain in the event of a heavy downpour as I learned from being a member at lifetime. Forgot how easy things were here and glad to have rejoined this as an additional gym for workouts.

I recently had a disappointing experience at this location, specifically involving the head trainer, Tony. I had originally booked a workout session with Curtis L, but after giving it more thought, I realized I’d be more comfortable training with a female trainer. I called the location to request the change, and that’s when I was connected with Tony.

To his credit, Tony scheduled me for a session with Christina, which I appreciated. I actually completed a workout at this location just last week and was looking forward to continuing. However, what followed was both unprofessional and disrespectful.

Tony called me back regarding my membership and left a voicemail stating that I wasn’t valid at this location and to give him a call. Unfortunately, he did not hang up properly, and the voicemail continued recording. What I heard afterward was very disappointing. He was speaking candidly (presumably to someone else) and said, "She wants to book a session with Christina, she's not even valid at this location, I'm not going to waste Christina's time, you know what I'm saying?" He continued making other comments about the VPs, which included profanity.

As a paying customer, it’s disheartening to hear myself being talked about in such a dismissive and disrespectful way, especially by someone in a leadership role. This kind of behavior does not reflect well on the professionalism or customer service standards that I expect from a fitness facility.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as everyone deserves to be treated with respect, regardless of membership status.

Just switched from my regular gym that I've been going to for 6 years to this LA fitness location. I was really nervous about this transition but Noel and Mason made it so easy and inviting that I couldn't say no to a membership. I use this gym whenever i come down south to visit my parents but I would love to know why I am being charged extra for this gym when the sauna doesn't even work and the constant maintenance issues with the pool and etc. this gym has the exact same amenities as some other la fitnesses without being considered "premiere" at this point just make it the same as the rest. I don’t know why anyone would pay extra for this gym experience. The facilities are almost exactly on par with a normal LA Fitness but the sauna doesn’t even work!

I've been a member at LA Fitness for a while, and I have mixed feelings about my experience.

**The Good:**
- The facility is spacious with plenty of equipment

**The Not-So-Good:**

I read a review that the sauna's been closed since May 2023...Its now December 2024, about to be 2025 and it's still down! That's completely unacceptable.

Also unacceptable is that they only respond to 5 star reviews meaning they have NO INTEREST in solving problems brought to their attention.

Gym is often VERY crowded.

I hate their dumbbells. They have an annoying lip on the bar where it meets the plate and it interferes with how much you can lift. I've never seen anything like it before.

Their dumbbells only go to 100lb pairs.

I'm getting real tired of crappy gyms. It's not rocket science...

The gym equipment is run down, no sauna after years of people complaining, 60% of cardio equipment works or works properly and to be called a signature gym with just a turf section with nothing else up to date makes no sense. A good fitness center with many benefits if you choose. I went as a guest today to sooth my muscles in their hot tub. The British Swim School seemed to be in swing so I could not do a Saturday Swim workout. One of the most complete and world renowned fitness business. Be careful with the pushy salesmanship if you want a membership. Very friendly service that makes a huge difference in my visit.✨👍

I went in yesterday and it was a terrible experience. There was no A/C and they did not even have the large fans on. The gym was hot and mirrors were fogged up. The humidity also made the floor very slippery. Sauna is still closed over two years and the gym im general has a weird smell to it. Crunch fitness seems alot cleaner and comapred to this gym is a lot more worth your money.

If you like a woman working in the MENS locker room this place is for you.
Kids swimming lessons making excessive noice while I’m trying to sit peacefully in the Jacuzzi.
This is supposedly a premier club doesn’t even come close. Feels like your local YMCA with the kids swimming in the pool making all kinds of racket the sauna has been broke for two years. This place needs a corporate audit. They allow male janitorial staff to clean the women’s locker rooms while they are ACTIVELY CHANGING. I was followed into the bathroom area by a male staff member who thought I wasn’t paying attention. When I quickly turned around to confront him he got flustered and tried to backtrack saying they didn’t mean to scare me. Because of course FOLLOWING ME TO A STALL is totally normal! Infrared saunas listed as amenity but has been broken/shut down since 2020 with no plans to fix or replace with another. Dirty spa/pool and frequently shut down for maintenance. Inexperienced & ableist fitness instructor Gigi B who either doesn’t care to offer modifications for injured students / cannot due to lack of training. Either way has no business being a fitness instructor. Brought the issues to the attention of corporate only to be lied to that “someone would be reaching out to me to discuss”. As you can guess no one ever contacted me & corporate cares just about as much as the instructors at this location, very very little. LA: Do better & be better. Everyone: take your hard earned money and lift heavy somewhere else.

My son and I were this past Sunday! July 14th 2024, I found this fitness center better, cleaner, and more friendly than my home base L A Fitness!! I didn’t take any pictures cause I didn’t want invade other’s privacy etc but my son and I really enjoyed it, The sauna was closed for cleaning on this day and the pool area didn’t have a strong chlorine smell like the one on Northlake which is my home base gym but thus, the L A Fitness on Donald Ross Road is ours and actually my personal f! Also the showers, bathrooms, changing areas were very clean and the lockers (at least on the women’s side) were neatly kept! My son said the lockers etc on the men’s side were also very nicely kept!

The gym itself is okay, but I would be careful about signing any long-term agreements with LA Fitness. I was just told on the phone by their corporate office, "Well, we don't honor everything in our agreements." Years ago, I paid an exorbitant amount of money to Bally's for a lifetime membership. The contract included "all worldwide locations for life." When Bally's was bought by LA Fitness, they honored my contract. Now that they have opened "Signature" clubs they are saying those are not included. My contract states "any club worldwide." There were no club tiers at the time they purchased Bally's. The company cannot be trusted if they do not honor their contracts.

This place should be condemned. Being a “Select” club is a joke. The Alton Town Center with $2M homes nearby should terminate the lease and lure a better managed brand.

This gym has machines that have been out of order for months. The sauna hasn’t been operational in nearly a year, the hot tub is broken, the men’s room smells like urine and there are dust balls everywhere.

When it comes to variety, forget it. All elliptical machines are Matrix. In fact, most machines are Matrix. LA Fitness as a company spends the bare minimum and you get what you pay for, or less.

I’m disappointed that the manager, who identified himself as Chris, but wouldn’t provide his last name, was unreasonable about the television in the common area. It is always put on a news channel. Most news channels are biased politically. During this potentially volatile presidential election campaign it was suggested that HGTV or ESPN be set to play without people having the ability to change the setting. Chris, kept the channel on Fox even though I was the only one watching after a woman complained when I turned the television off. If he is the facility manager, he needs to learn how to do the job. In this time of mass shooters in movie theaters and bowling alleys and parades… is this the way to manage a gym ?

I wonder how much that guide was paid for her review. Photos tell the story of this "SIGNATURE" club- not sure what is signature about it (they will tell you free towels). Pool closed for 3 weeks now (this happens regularly), bathroom stall out of service, sauna closed for so long now, pilates room that never ever was used for pilates and is always bolted shut. I went to this LA fitness for the past year. This gym is relatively inexpensive and you get what you pay for. I would not consider this a "signature" gym compared to other gyms around the area. Staff is fantastic; Josue was charismatic and signed me up hassle-free. The Gym has most equipment you'll ever need, and the turf section is decent for warming up and doing more crossfit-style workouts.
There are areas that need improvement. Starting with the sauna. Unfortunately, the sauna has not worked since June of 2023 and there seems to be no rush to fix it. Another issue is cleanliness. They do have one janitor, but he seems to be there more for show versus doing anything involving cleaning. There's dust in more areas than not on the equipment. The main reason I ported away was due to men's hair in the shower drains that never seemed to go away, even though the janitor would constantly be "cleaning" the bathrooms at the busiest times in the morning. The last concern is safety. There's a lot of young adults from surrounding high schools that come in packs to the gym at the busiest times. Nothing wrong with that, except I've seen groups of guys climbing onto the leg press machines where the weights should be while their buddy tries to press them. It was pretty funny, but I was shocked that the employees didn't do anything to stop this. There's constant shenanigans from these groups during the busiest times.
All in all, it's a fine gym for the price point. There are several concerns, but you're paying $40 per month. You get what you should expect.

I was approaching 70 years old and noticed that I had lost my muscle and flexibility. I was having trouble, sitting and rising from a chair, getting in and out of my car and could not rise up from a kneeling position unless I was helped.
I thought about hiring a trainer but thought that they only train body builders. My mistake. Then I decided “I might as well build muscle, maybe that will help me”. I was assigned Nick as my trainer. I told him about my flexibility problems. His knowledge of the skeletal-muscle system in the body was phenomenal! We started to work on flexibility with a little strength training. After a few months, most of my flexibility problems (mentioned above) have vanished. Nick has been a lifesaver for me. Be forewarned though, this has been the hardest work outs I have ever done in my life but as I have said, the results have been phenomenal!

I have worked with different trainers here and the best one I have found is Nick. He is knowledgeable, caring, helpful and adjust his process to the client. I have been working with Nick for over 3 months and have gone down 2 pant sizes. My strength is better and my energy levels much improved.

I expect more from this signature club. Compared to the boynton signature location, this gym is dirty, unorganized, and staff are not very friendly. The cardio machines are always nasty, never seem to be cleaned, and a lot are broken.

This gym has so much potential please fix these small but important issues!

there is a very creepy janitor man that cleans the women’s restroom at 6am. not only does he come in unannounced to the women’s restroom at random times ( or he does announce himself but even if I am changing and say don’t come in, he still enters). But the guy talks to himself and borderline yelling. He says some awful things about women while he is cleaning toilets and I know it’s not a fun job, but he is literally cursing and shouting. it made me very uncomfortable today as I was in the stall right next the one he was cleaning.
I spoke to the front desk about it but the staff was unfriendly and did not seem sympathetic to my concerns and well being.

Had a bad experience at this place today. The pool was smaller than the regular LA fitness, and quite murky, didn’t feel like clean. A Karen was super rude to me only because I walked into the pool while she “owned “ this place. Everything else was nice.

I will tell you this is one of the best gyms around with the most fit people I have ever seen!! Don and Natalie's spin classes are the best if you are able to get a bike. Classes are usually full with tons of excitement!!! Grahm is one of the best managers ever who goes out of his way to take care of everyone's needs on a personal level. See Tony the personal trainer he is very knowledgeable and had lots of stories!!! Excellent showers there as well.

I woke up at 4:30 am today to start a new daily routine for myself and workout at 5am again. I arrived at the gym at 5:02- 12 guests standing outside the gym and by 5:11 nobody opened the gym doors. I had to go home and decide to workout later because at that point I couldn’t get a proper workout in and make it to the office on time. It needs to be known anyone that works out in the morning hours has a plan and it would be nice if the gym would open when it is suppose to.

Impossible to cancel. You can sign up with anyone at anytime, but you can't cancel except with a specific person at a specific time who never seems to be here. Sent a letter to corporate for cancelation per their guidelines months ago and they're still charging me. Tried canceling in person multiple times. Can't get them to stop stealing from me. It's theft. Plain and simple. Scum bag company.

As snowbirds, this is our second year working out at the Signature LA Fitness on Donald Ross in Palm Beach Gardens. The staff here is welcoming, caring and professional. Maria and Tony initially interviewed us and placed us with trainers Christine and Javen, who gave us exercises tailored to our needs as seniors. This facility is well-maintained with a large variety of exercise equipment. We feel it’s a great place to start our day!

We signed up for monthly membership with Maria predominantly to use their pool (which we use regularly and attend classes with Mabel who is the sweetest). Maria was very helpful and we ended up signing up for personal training to help us learn how to have proper form as we get older (54&60 yrs).
Heidi was our trainer and she is the BEST. She is professional and knows her stuff. We both really benefitted and are grateful to have invested in a personal trainer. Now to add more water aerobic classes…🙏🏼 (plz)

Started coming here late 2021. The place looked fresh and new. It was fairly clean. The facility is starting to look a bit worn. The place is almost always a mess especially the turf area. I work here as a trainer and have gym etiquette to pick up after myself as well as my clients. The majority of the adult population does not have the same ethic. Guy, the janitor/cleaning crew has the hardest job and surely he works the hardest.

Place is legit. Prob best value for area. Don't listen to other reviews its nice. Only complaint would be that past 10 there will be a literal swarm of high schoolers 4 of them to each bench with their crocs, and social media apps primed and ready. But other than that its pretty fire.

This is not a good gym. Most of the equipment is worn out or is non functional. Buttons on most of the cardio equipment don’t work, pads on the lifting equipment are worn out. The WiFi is constantly broken and you cannot get cell signal in the building. The bathrooms are constantly dirty. My fiancé tells me the faucets in the women’s restroom barely work. These have all been issues for months now.

Very disappointed! Internet doesn’t work, service is super weak. This place is full of kids. They come here to socialize and they sit on the machines forever, the other they they were messing with each other than it turned into a fight! Not to mention most of the times someone is at the bathroom blasting music while you try to relax in the sauna. Place isn’t cleaned properly. Most of my friends left this gym to join other places…..

So far so good no issues. The men's lockers do need to be cleaned. The exterior of the rest rooms seem to be sanitized and cleaned, but as soon as you open a locker they are full of grime and other people's hair.
