I love the LA Fitness at Siesta Crossings! Adam was incredibly helpful by extending my training contract in the most efficient way. This lets me use the sessions I missed due to a death in my family. He coordinated this with upper management and called me with the details. Mike is my trainer and I’ve learned so much about getting into shape. Come here to workout with 2 people that have unlimited access memberships. Normally the GM is here and says no problem with 2 paying guests. Today I get the riot act. They day they cant bring a guest. Then they meed to send me a vip guest pass then they decide I need to pay a day lass for 20$. I must be paying for the ac bc its 68 degrees and the fans are like wind turbines while the lighting is basically non existant. Im one step away from lifting in the dark. Doubt myself or the 2 guests I came with will be back. Ignorance can be overcome with knowledge. Incompetence is forever.

I started working with Mike as my personal trainer earlier this year and wish I could provide a 10 star rating. His ability to utilize every area of the gym weather it be machines, free weights, cables, etc keeps every workout interesting. I can’t say enough good things about The personal trainer MIKE at Westfield Southgate
. He’s patient and kind, but what really sets him apart is the way he teaches. He has a huge depth of knowledge about form, muscle growth, and training, yet he explains it in a way that’s clear, simple, and easy to follow — even if you’re brand new. I love how he almost “reverse engineers” his explanations, breaking everything down so you understand not just what to do, but why you’re doing it. Beware of LA Fittness
I’m writing this because they cheated me out of about $400.00. After the unexpected passing of my wife, I reached out to LA Fitness to request a refund for the money for a trainer that I had not started yet. I explained the situation clearly, that I was not in any shape to go to their facility. I thought they were a reputable company, and they would return my money. Unfortunately, the gym refused to offer a refund. They marked forfeited.

Extremely dirty. My hands are brown whenever I finish a session. The general level of maintenance of machines here is appallingly bad. Every single weight rack here is so worn down that weight plates physically can’t even slide on properly. Most of the bars look like they haven’t been cleaned literally in years. Sneaky salesman signed us up for a year when we told him we would only be in town a few months. Then the other sneaky salesman signed us up for monthly trainer. Told him, only a couple months. After phone calls upon phone. Alls we had to call our credit card company to stop the charges. No sauna. 👎🏼 Lots of old yt grouchy people here and management/staff does nothing about their disrespectful behavior. Also I don’t appreciate the random texts from one of the male staff members here. I had one in person conversation with an employee about possibly meeting up for a workout with a trainer, which I literally told the guy that I might not show up, because I am very busy. Well, I did not show up and the guy decides to personally text me which I ignored then again a month later asking me to come back. I never gave this employee my number which means he took it out of my profile in the computer system. Creepy and unprofessional seeing as I never agreed to any type of text messages from LA fitness , if they were phone calls from LA fitness gym I would understand but texts…from a iMessage at that - clearly a personal phone. Weird and creates an awkward almost predatory environment when returning to work out. Definitely never coming back here.

This gym is disgusting. I don’t think they clean in here at all. This is the 5th time I’ve been here. I’ve given the benefit of the doubt hoping they would clean but not a chance. It smells, there is visible filth behind machines, and every time I touch a weight plate or clamp, I get visible filth on my hands. I’m not new to the gym scene. I was a fitness professional for nearly two decades and worked at about a dozen different gyms. This is by far the filthiest. Unacceptable. Do better please.

I hope these photos speak for themselves. I took these on Thursday, June 15, 2023. Unsanitary conditions throughout the entire facility. No water filters for Elkay water bottle refilling stations (why have them if you don't use them?). No hand sanitizer. No paper towels (apparently some idiot decided to use them to decorate a urinal). Gum on pool deck. I filed a complaint over a year ago with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service - the agency that licenses gyms in the state of Florida - but apparently they have no regulatory authority to conduct a health audit.

Crooks!! Worst gym ever!!’ Duke, the VP of the region is a crook and he teaches his employees to be crooks. When multiple clients have the exact same experience and nothing is done leadership is the cause of the problem. Give us our money back!!!

Bullied into signing up for a training stretching/training session that was terrible. They just don’t take no for an answer and they wore me out until I eventually said yes. Instant regret from the minute I signed up. I walked away from the first and only session as they have no concept of basic sanitation. TJ promised me I could get out of the contract if I hated it and yet they’re still charging me $180 a month plus the $80 deposit they stole from me. These are crooks posing as trainers. If they were any good they wouldn’t need to cheat people and manipulate them with promises they don’t intend to keep.

Looking forward to cross examining these crooks in small claims court!

I have signed a contract for training and have told I can cancel it at any time! started the first free class on the same day then couldn’t make any class schedule due to my busy schedule with work so went back to cancel it. They said they can not cancel even though they said I can do it at ANY TIME! Later on, I went back there to push it, and they made me sit so we can “cancel” my training subscription step by step. Even though they said all good, we canceled it, I still got charged after! Went back there again and told them we canceled it the other day and i still got charged, and told them they can see me from the cameras if any proof needed. The answer I got was “Oh, we don't have cameras”... That Duke guy was one of them, and I wish I remember the other ones' names... total amount i have charged at the end was 1.000 dollars and didn’t even make it to any of that classes, and of course, couldn’t take the money back either.. I see here everyone has the same problem with these scammers and PLEASE dont make the same mistake because they are scammers and will lie to your face.

I went in to talk about my goals and new journey to a better healthier body. I have been to other gyms to check it out and always felt pressured, out of place and intimidated. Not here! The young man that toured me, Hunter Billings was so caring, sweet and respectful! Made me feel completely comfortable being there. I signed up before I left and went in the next day. He remembered my anxiousness about being in a gym and made sure I felt comfortable. Explained what machines will be best for my areas of concern and truly had a nice work out. He stopped by to check on me and made me feel so welcomed! I am going to enjoy going there with this young man working there and the other nice employees I communicated with. The gym was also very clean (I'm major ocd about cleanliness!! No issues in that area!) thank you Hunter and the rest of the La Fitness staff!

Good gym. Plenty of equipment and usually not too crowded. Mangers make an effort and it's reasonably clean. I go 3-4x per week for the last 3 years and have had few concerns. Great value for the plan I am on. Overall 5 Stars.

My 15 year old daughter got scammed by Duke the personal trainer. Made her sign a contract at 15 WITHOUT me. She came home to tell me to cancel it. After multiple phone calls, and multiple and multiple times stopping in (and getting told this is a reoccurring thing with him and other girls) i was still billed and charged 3xx a month. Absolute insanity. I only then got my money back after contacting Better Business Bureau. DO NOT GO. YOU WILL GET BULLIED INTO SIGNING THINGS YOU DONT UNDERSTAND

The all equipment to work is nice! But the cleaning is poor everything is dirty! The restroom is out the supply all the time! The floor nasty! Need more attention! Yesterday I went to the Gym and everything is nasty the equipment! Restroom everything! I goin to cancel my account there!

Couldn’t be more disappointed this place has no sauna or steam room. Huge facility with all the room in the world to accommodate. Really dropped the ball on that. Newer club with some weights and cardio machines but certainly not a real fitness spot without a sauna or steam room. Be very aware

I would give zero if I could. I cancelled by walking in there. Manager not there so they wrote my information - no call back. So I called back and got a manager that said they were taking care of it. Just realized they continue to charge my debit card. I thought that fitness clubs had come a long way since these 1980’s tactics - guess not. Glad I went to EŌS - same pricing but many more amenities and classes.

I was a member at this location for 5 years. Unfortunately, it went on a fast downward spiral. It's now full of disrespectful millennials standing in your space, pointing at their watch while your working out telling you to stop so they can get on the machine. Sad what this gym has turned into.

I joined Esporta in search for a gym unlike the others I had worked out at. I wanted something that felt more professional. I tried their 3 day trial and signed up the first day I went to the gym. First thing I noticed was how clean and well-kept the equipment was. Not to mention the amount of equipment they had! (I have never had to wait for the equipment I need) I talked to Xavier, he was very welcoming and helpful. I did a trail training lesson with Bryan. After being an athlete all through high-school and even college, he coached me through something as simple as squats and I learned a WHOLE new technique. I signed up for a personal trainer after that. Duke and Bryan both were very accommodating to my financial needs and understanding. I have been training with Priscilla for a month and SHE IS AMAZING!! Even after the short amount of time I've been at Esporta, I have noticed such a positive body change, and I feel STRONGER. I could not ask for a better trainer!!! Thank you esporta team!

After being at Planet Fitness throught the pandemic I am quite disturbed at the lack of cleanliness and dedicated staff to keep work out area clean. There was always a desk person rotating to clean equipment down. I was quite disgusted by some drips on the floor, not sure if they were a drink or sweat and I believe all the cleaning fluids are bogus or way diluted. Not a foaming hand sanitizer to be found or even a purell pump at the front desk. I had to go wash my hands numerous times after using some unknow sticky substance in the dispensers. I know membership is cheap but I really expect more. I would also still appreciate spacing of equipment since workout people breathe hard and spread germs further. Even in a regular world I expect more cleanliness from a gym. I joined for price, convenience and size of facility.

I don't leave reviews, but feel compelled to do so in this case to save others from an expensive mistake.

Beware of membership sales staff at this Esporta, as they are much less than truthful in representing membership agreements, resulting in members getting locked ​in​to expensive long-term agreements they were led to believe had more flexible cancellation terms.

Bottom line - DO NOT sign any membership agreements for personal training and other services without reading the agreement completely, especially the cancellation terms. Membership sales will lie and tell you cancellation terms are flexible just to get you to sign up, but later you find out you are locked ​in ​for 12 months and to cancel requires an expensive buy-out. Beware, sign nothing onsite, and do not accept the lies and deception of the sales staff.

This seems to be the deceptive, unethical sales culture trained and nurtured at the club, perhaps throughout the entire Esporta organization.

The club facilities are pretty good, the rest of the staff seem to be pleasant and helpful, but do not trust the sales staff. As a business owner for 20 years, if these folks had worked for me, they would have been fired a long time ago.

The gym itself is nice and clean and has very nice equipment. I am happy with the one year membership I signed up for.

However, I would definitely discourage anyone from signing up for any additional services as this club is VERY DISHONEST!!! I signed up for what I believed to be a one time package of 8 hours of personal training and was shocked to find out later that I had signed up for a year's worth of training obligating me to pay several thousand of dollars. I would never have agreed to that as I'm very particular as to what I want in a personal trainer. What's more, I find that this is a common complaint and that my experience was not an accidental occurrence but a commonplace practice. Just read the other reviews here and on other sites.

I went to this gym a few times and it’s not a bad gym it’s clean and the people there are nice. Unfortunately they make you go in person to cancel the membership which is just plain embarrassing already but then the guy who helped me (I think his name was don) hassled me while he was cancelling my membership. He asked me why I was cancelling it I told him I just wasn’t using it and he continued on to say I was working out somewhere else and when I said no he responded “oh so you’re just not working out at all” and asked me if I even had a goal or if I even tried to come in get shown around and then laughed and said “you just got it in March”. I’m not sure if it’s just me but I feel like he was very unprofessional, especially for being a manager. Way to make me never come back, thanks don.

The equipment fits my body like a glove. It's not overly big it's just perfect. The trainers are awesome. The facility is clean. The only thing I would add to this gym The only thing I would add to this gym Would be maybe a vending machine with nutrition protein shakes.

Cancelled my membership. Still getting charged for a trainer that I only saw once during my "trial" period. He knew he was being shady and hid in the back everytime I tried to cancel. They are wrong for that and they all know the manager is doing it. Shameful!
