I’ve had a fantastic experience at this LA gym so far! All the equipment is in great working order, which makes every workout smooth and efficient. The gym has everything needed to get the job done. I use a wheelchair to get around and found that most of the equipment is accessible because you can pull up close to maneuver your body to get in the equipment. The machine equipment has a lot of space between them so anyone with a medical condition has the room to make it happen. The staff ⚕️ is very nice 👍🏽 and helpful. They have a his/hers bathroom that I'm able to fit comfortably with my wheelchair 🧑‍🦼. The personality of the members makes the gym environment, it doesn't matter what the equipment looks like. For the most part the members treated me with respect and help me maneuver around the gym but one day a member asked me why I was in a wheelchair and immediately tried to force me to walk. It was very strange and scary. I explained to him my situation but he didn't listen. I have never had this happen before at any gym in Martin County and I have went to all of them because I'm doing a YouTube video about accessibility at gyms in the area. All I can say is strange and I have not went back after the incident. The crazy part of it all was the staff ⚕️ didn't stop this crazy ♂️ man. He said he had healing powers but I think he was a false healer. WATCH OUT FOR THIS GUY!!

I had this membership for several years. Never had a problem until I needed to cancel.

We moved away 1 year ago. We are no longer close to an LA Fitness. Because of their cancellation policies, I couldn't call to cancel. I couldn't cancel in the app. I had to speak with a manager to cancel. Which means, I had to physically be there when a manager was there.

We were in town visiting this weekend. I stopped in this morning to cancel. I was told I had to come back because the manager wasn't there. So I came back later in the day after I was told the manager would be there. My car is packed up with my family and dog. I just needed to cancel the account. When I walked up to the manager, he was immediately rude.

I have never posted a negative review. I would much rather talk with a business and resolve any issue - the benefit of the doubt and all. The real issue here is the intentional roadblocks set up by LA Fitness to cancel your account. The leadership team should be aware of the impact to their members and not create additional ones like I experienced today. I will never have another LA Fitness account.

From taking months to fix anything that breaks, warm water fountains, and allowing very loud violent boxing/mma activity to use 1/2 of the sled field to spar for hours (very disruptive) I’m done…
of course, I mentioned these things in passing to the manager on duty who just smiles like he didn’t hear me.

I even offered to hire a contractor myself to come in and fix the water fountains for him… Again, just a smile, no response😂😂

Only reason I continue to show up is the pool

Have tried alot of gyms in the area. This is by far the best, but giving the two stars because one of the saunas never works. The men's sauna has currently been down for three months. We have to go all the way to St Lucie West to enjoy their facilities. Wish they would prioritize one of their most valuable assets. Would love to start coming back to this one if they would get the sauna up and running again.

Great gym! Definitely my favorite one out of all of it's competitors in the area. Really wish you guys would hang some clocks up in the free weight area though like you used to have years ago. Tried a trial pass while visiting on vacation and got everything and more than I expected. I was able to do a quick
warm up, play some basketball and use the whirlpool. If I had a LA fitness in my hometown I would have got a membership. I went on a weekday in the late morning and there were a decent amount of people there. If you’re looking to play basketball I would recommend coming earlier in the day. They have basketballs in the gym which were a plus. The bathrooms were a bit messy, other than that everything else was great.

Dishonest sales tactics. Signed up for a 3-day trial on the website and was sent an email with a QR code to scan for entry, noted as "compliments of" Alex, the sales manager. On arrival, however, Alex said they'd had an influx of free trials so the system "wouldn't accept" the guess pass. The only option was a $75 week pass.

Over 6 months ago I canceled my membership due to rusty and unsafe equipment. I got cut by their equipment and immediately canceled my membership, but LA Fitness still CHARGED me for months and months. I haven't been going here for over 6 months and have been charged for it.
The so called team at LA is untrustworthy and most all the equipment has rust and metal burs.
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING ELSEWHERE!

I highly recommend LA Fitness, Stuart location! I take cycle class on Wednesdays and Fridays with instructor Lauren G. She is AMAZING!!!!!! Her classes are high energy and fun! Lauren makes you feel good about yourself while keeping you motivated to push yourself harder. If you are curious about spin class, you should definitely try this one! I love it and look forward to classes with Lauren every week!

Just canceled my membership, finally!

Cons: Body Masters equipment and some Hammer equipment in the free weight area big enough for a specific body type, like under six feet tall. Most of the weight stacks on the cable equipment is oddly labeled, making it inconsistent unless you are lucky enough to get the same machine for your specific workout. The equipment is garbage, rusty, and dirty. No one puts their weights back. Not enough attachments for the cable machines. Can’t get a consistent workout due to it being too crowded so the equipment is always in use. They use rubber coated dumbbells and plates, the kind that don’t actually weigh what is printed on the plate.

Pros: I haven’t seen anyone recording workouts so it’s not a TikTok studio.

They have a stand alone platform with a good set of bumper plates that hardly gets used AND it’s not in front of a mirror.

They have three decent power racks also with decent bumper plates that are used all day, every day… in front of mirrors.

UPDATE: LA Fitness corrected the error for my membership and returned my money to me. I was very pleased with Anthony, the new manager, and the corporate office. Thank you, LA Fitness.
Great location for me. Was a Healthtrax (New England) member for 30 years and visited many LA Fitness locations for tournament play. My only complaint is the sales department when signing up. I had just retired, brand new to Medicare and went in to sign up asking the rep what benefits I had through my insurance. He said "unfortunately" my insurance did not have a benefit for LA Fitness. I signed up that day as a regular member. What he told me was a lie. I went home and contacted my insurance ( I know I should have done this first, lesson learned!) my insurance did have the benfit through Active & Fit. I returned to LA Ftiness and met with the rep who signed me up for the benefit through insurance and informed me I could not receive a credit or reimbursement for what I had paid to sign up. He claimed it would be held for me "just in case your insurance no longer covers you." So my $200 sits with LA Fitness and although I have asked again to get my money they claim it can't happen. So BEWARE of the staff they hire. I know there in sales to make the money but misrepresentation of their services is unfair and poor customer care.

I take care of my Uncle who is 74. He has Silver Sneakers card. I could not go for free and just sit they told me. I could not buy a $10.00 membership just for the bathroom, because they don't have one.. 😐..They want $30.00 a month basically for me to use the bathroom if needed while he took a class! 🥺 I have a bad knee, I'm not interested in anything else but the bathroom. I spoke to a young man there. I don't think he was a manager. My good friend walked in and she said she only comes for the Hot Tub... She is fit, and 73... She also goes to Powerhouse for their classes..
We went there for 2 1/2 (2022 Jan).. I found out they were charging my 74 year old Uncle $50 bucks for me for 6 months, so, I told them that my membership was only $10.00 because of the promotion they had for the New Year 2022 when we signed up. They apologized, but we didn't get a any money back. so that was in July 2021🥺.
Jan. 2024, My Uncle told me that he was paying $30. bucks since July 2021, Wow!! 😵‍💫.. The manager fixed the error that she says someone else did and that person moved away!! 😖 No Money back!!! My Uncle lost his Bank card in June 2024. The Gym was charging him for me $18.09 a month instead of the $10 bucks we signed up for. ok. my Uncle liked the instructor, but some of other 65+ older in the class (only about 5 mean people) BULLIED him because the class would be crowed especially when the Snow Birds came. For many months This group move him to other places. Other gym members don't care for the Bullies and told me my Uncle was being abused. I thought he was good in class. He started sharing how they moved him a lot so they could be by their "Click of Bullies". So we left in June. Also the gym never prorated us the money that was due to us. The business is poorly run and take advantage of Seniors.. Over charging!! My Uncle was not the only one in the class... Many Others have left because the staff won't challenge a Bully!! Some go to LA, Plant Fitness also Private Trainers that their insurance pays for... that's what we are looking to find. No More Snobby/Bullies.. My Uncle was born in Port Salerno/Stuart.. Our family lives thru out the Treasure Coast.. They own many businesses.
Life is too short to be around Bullies/Mean people like that. 😁

I used to love coming to this gym whenever I was in town- it's a fantastic facility, but a shame that they no longer sell passes that include childcare. I was informed this morning that I needed to commit to signing a contract in order to use childcare services- which had never been an issue the past 4 years I've frequented the area to visit my parents who are disabled and can't handle a small child on their own. I've been a member to a few different LA fitness gyms throughout the years and tonight is the night that I finally leave a review. The smell as soon as you walk through the door is so gross, like a mix between b.o. sweat and used toilet paper together. The smell gets progressively worse as you go into the locker rooms. Have you ever smelled something so bad it actually makes you upset? Well that is what happens here. I went to stretch in the green artificial grass-like area and had a bunch of hair stick to my hand as I was getting up, I mean come on! I will be changing gyms as it doesn't seem like this place is ever clean. You can easily tell which ones are all the fake reviews saying that the gym is nice and clean- go check it out one day- those are a bunch of LIES.

Who ever posts that this gym is clean, obviously has not set foot in the men’s locker room. The bathroom, shower and sauna area is just nasty. The floor is horrendous and the smell is awful. The grout is black. I’ve been a member here for over 5 years and it just gets worse and worse. The common areas are generally ok. The only reason I stay is because of the pool and sauna. This will be elevated to corporate. I’m sick of waiting around for someone to take action. It’s been a year since my first review. They obviously don’t care. ******

the equipment is good and they usually fix things promptly. However, the men’s locker room, bathroom, sauna and showers need a SERIOUS DEEP PROFESSIONAL CLEANING! Not a cleaning by the nice lady, I’m talking serious professional action here. Actually it needs to be totally redone, but a thorough cleaning is desperately needed. If I were a new prospect looking for a gym, I would move on for this fact alone. I will edit this review if things improve

No monitoringr by staff, I went to cancel my membership and spoke to manager, I told her that gym should call police to do round ups more often at the parking lot, the manager had an attitude saying it’s not LA fit responsability and this happens all the time,everywhere. Not true! And if it does, precautious should be taken.
It would have been a better posture to reassure the client they will try to check it more often to prevent it.

Gym is ok. The stairmaster has been broken for an entire year and they keep saying it’ll be fixed. I also worked here and can confirm this. They don’t replace or upgrade the equipment ever. The gym is really clean but if things break, don’t expect speedy repair times or new equipment when something fails. If you have a good rate, it makes sense. If not, go to Crunch more equipment and newer.

Susan is on her usual treadmill, she’s already 4 miles in but her pace quickens as you lock eyes, the final push begins, transcendence is imminent. Jim is fresh off a new PR on the bench press, he high fives you as you amble by, comradery eclipses you. The vibe is immaculate, the equipment is clean, the moral is at an all time high, the serotonin is flowing, the people are happy, just living in the moment. You were hesitant to join, you knew you needed to make a positive change but the task at hand seemed overwhelming. Alex glances back at you and smiles, in that moment you realize your life is forever different, in that moment you realize you are home. The scene fades to black, the rest of your life begins.

Went to LA today and met Alex. Really professional and great to work with. He had me signed up and working out quick. LA in Stuart is clean, has every machine you need to get a full workout in and even more. They even have a kids club which is perfect for me.

This is the best gym in town! The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The gym itself is very clean and spacious, with plenty of free weights, diverse machines, and great astro turf / mats to do workouts on. The smoothie bar upfront is a personal favorite (the protein shakes are incredible). This is by far the best gym all around in the Stuart area.

Came in and today and used my free 3 day pass because me and my husband are thinking of switching from planet to LA. The lady that was behind the desk was super nice and friendly. Helped me immediately! Stacy at the smoothie bar was super super nice. I’m actually good friends with her and she’s always been super sweet! But seeing her work she’s super professional, quick with making my smoothie and the prices are great! She makes them perfect! *chef’s kiss* 💋🥤

The facility is super clean 🧼 ✨ Bathrooms are very well-kept and nice. Big difference from LA in SLW! I went to the SLW location yesterday and it was awful! The one is stuart is like night and day! I will never return to the SLW location and me and my husband are actually going to sign up at the stuart location because of how nice it was and how great of an experience I had. I had a really great workout as well. The machines are very up to date and clean too.

My over all experience: 10/10. I wouldn’t go to any other location besides this one! If you wanna have a great workout with friendly, professional staff, come to this location!! They are amazing!!
