Not as fancy as most of the other LA Fitness clubs I've been to, but if you're looking for a no frills workout, then visit this location.

A few reasons why I only gave it 4 stars...multiple treadmills on the upper deck were inop, many without power with no signs on the equipment. Quite a few have visible rust on them in various locations. The door to the men's sauna is in need of repair as it doesn't close tight. Sort of important to maintain the heat in the sauna to have a door that shuts properly on its own without having to force it shut or open.

While the club appears to be maintained on the cleanliness side, the maintenance side could use some help.

Unsafe and poorly maintained — this location needs serious attention

I just moved to the area and wanted to give this LA Fitness a chance with a 3-day pass. After visiting three days in a row, I won’t be coming back.

The cleanliness and maintenance are unacceptable. The same pile of clothing sat in the same locker for all three days — clearly no nightly cleaning or checks are done. The sink areas are filthy, with buildup and rust, and even the scales still had dirt prints from previous days.

Worse, the sauna is an active safety hazard. There’s a broken board with exposed nails sticking out of the wall, and the door doesn’t close properly, leaving a large gap that lets all the heat out. There wasn’t even an “Out of Order” sign posted.

On top of that, staff at the front desk are disengaged, usually on their phones, and give short, unhelpful answers when you ask basic questions.

I’ve been to many LA Fitness locations and this one is by far the worst maintained. It’s honestly unsafe and unhygienic. Management needs to take immediate action before someone gets hurt.

I had never been to an Esporta before today, and unfortunately, I can confirm that I won’t be returning. My partner has a membership and used a guest pass so I could try the gym. I expected a welcoming environment, but instead was met with immediate hostility from the manager, Sam.

Rather than being encouraging (as you would expect from someone in a customer-facing role) Sam seemed upset that I was there on a guest pass and not signing up for a membership. His tone and attitude were off-putting from the start and completely soured the experience.

First impressions matter, and this one made it clear that this location doesn't prioritize respectful or professional customer service.
I expect the manager to be held accountable as this is not his only complaint I have seen in the reviews. We made it very clear that I was using the guest pass to get a feel of the gym and decide if wanted to sign up or not and yet he continued with his entitled attitude and pushed me as far away as possible from deciding to sign up. When you are paying $30+ monthly for a gym membership which is significantly higher than the others in the area, the bare minimum most would expect is decent customer service, especially from the manager. Do better.

I have been a member of LA Fitness for nearly two years, and I believe it’s high time the management addresses some ongoing issues—especially in the men’s restrooms and bath areas, which require immediate attention and better maintenance.

Additionally, the swimming pool is almost always occupied by paid classes, particularly during the mornings and evenings. This makes it very difficult for regular gym members to access and use the pool facilities what we paid for.

While I understand these classes may be part of your business strategy, I strongly urge you to prioritize pool access for gym members over external coaching programs. It’s only fair that members get the full benefit of the amenities included in their membership.daily around 1 hour of such classes should be okay but not 4-5 hours of training sessions on daily basis..

Gym is below average. Most of the machines are broken, sanitizer towels and bathroom soap dispensers out of stock and the place is poorly maintained. To add insult to injury they close at 7 PM on weekends and now close at 9PM on Fridays.They also will close unreasonably early on holidays. Why? I also do not appreciate being pressured and harassed by their staff to sign up for an expensive and subpar personal training program while I am trying to workout in peace. One of the trainers had the audacity to question why I couldn’t afford the personal training program and got very hostile with me when I declined to sign a contract. They refused to let me even see the contract and think it over before agreeing (very shady). I am the customer and my finances are none of their business. Given the declining state of the facility and lack of professionalism among staff I am looking for another gym to join who actually values their customers, keeps the facility clean and has reasonable hours. I wouldn’t recommend this gym chain to anyone.

This place is only interested in taking your money. Super scummy. I have reported them to the ftc and the Florida dept of Agriculture and consumer services. Their previous manager Lisa promised my friend and I many things in order to sign a personal training contract, none of which turned out to be true. This is considered a bad faith contract. We went to the gym and explained our situation, and to ask for a voided contract, and were informed by the training director noel that lisa had since been fired for doing this kind of stuff. I kept getting promises of return calls that never came, and After spending a MONTH giving us the runaround, I was told by someone at the gym, Cole, that if they were to void the contract, it would hurt the bottom line of the gym. He basically said they were putting their profits over doing the ethical thing. He then told us he would contact someone higher up, and if they wouldn't make the decision to void it, he would make that decision to get this resolved. He said he would call me. He never did. He left a voice mail for my friend instead and told her he couldn't make the decision?! After all was said and done, they refused to void the contract and forced us to pay the 50% cost of the contract to cancel it. We spent over 1000 bucks for a whopping total of two personal training sessions we were able to attend with an inexperienced trainer who has since also left the gym. Screw unethical, greedy places like this. Don't sign any contracts with them. They will take your money, whether they provide the agreed upon services or not.

Gym was fine and small, but after being a member there for a year I decided to cancel my membership. I went in yesterday and asked the front desk to cancel, to which they obliged, but also asked when was my last billing date. He told me it was 11/27- so basically just the day before. Today I checked my email and it turns out that the last billing date was ACTUALLY yesterday-the 28th, the day I went in to cancel. I’m very upset that the guy with dark hair and glasses at the front desk would lie to my face about something like this after being a loyal customer, as he definitely could have done something about that. This place is a scam and the company will clearly do anything to milk every dollar they can from you. The equipment is used and nothing renoun, and on top of being a less than mediocre gym, the membership fee of $30 a month is ridiculous for what they have to offer (which is nothing better than an apartment gym). The yearly fee is high and the fee to cancel before a certain time period is just silly. Take your money elsewhere rather than this lying place and joke of a gym that is far from “premium” as they advertise.

You guys, I want to like this gym, but the music is terrible for a gym and loud too. Its like trying to workout to the Cranberries or Mazzy Star. The music near the cardio section is so loud, everyone in the gym has noise cancelling headphones and even then you need to turn up the volume too much to drowned out the music. They have decent equipment, but it isn't usually that well maintained. Machines that should have a fluid movements often times feel gritty. I have been using Esporta on Cypress Preserve for about 4 months. Previously I had used the Y around the corner. At first, I missed the Y’s family atmosphere, since there were no kids at Esporta. However, that made it quieter, which I prefer. I tried some of their yoga classes and their spin classes, and found an outstanding teacher named Angela who does spin classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Saturday mornings. She is the most passionate, inspiring spin teacher I have ever worked worked with. Unlike the classes at the Y which are programmed by time into sections called tabatas, Angela teaches freestyle, injecting a lot of encouraging outcries, exhortations, and grunts, which make me work hard to keep up with her. Angela is truly an angel on the spin cycle!

Gym is pretty clean and staff is friendly. Equipment leaves something to be desired. Pic pretty much sums things up on the state of equipment. With this being such an easy cheap fix if management cared enough to you can imagine the state of the rest of the equipment.

My favorite gym! Staff so nice and friendly everyone always amazing. Elaha is my super trainer there. She’s great and really cares about you and your fitness goals and making sure you do everything correct. Phillip he does cycling boy let me tell you his class is therapy! Alex his the operations manager. Super nice very engaging and explains everything. Jordan signed me up with the group classes super knowledgeable and down to earth. Can’t forget Bri she’s dope totally go to her class. Thank you 🙏🏼 everyone for such a great experience.
