Loved other locations on east coast, but this location is disappointing. Old outdated gym. Finding more than one piece of equipment is difficult or nonexistent, so you'll wait alot. It's catered to the retirement crowd.

Terrible club! Out dated equipment, That is also rusted and not very clean. I was told about an initial training session, that was just a sales pitch and not a good one. I was told I had the "x-factor" for personal training sessions as if it were repeated out of a script. Overall not Happy, feel like I was swindled.

EDIT: My experience with my individual gym has been OK. The process of leaving the gym has been an absolute nightmare. I've tried to cancel personal training on 3 occasions. Each time I'm told it's done, it comes back to charge me for the next month. It's infuriating. I would definitely not recommend LA Fitness over any other gym. They're out for your money, no matter the cost with regard to customer service. It's awful.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I joined a few days ago. My experience with the gym itself has been fine, but I can see some staffing issues already. I was scheduled for an assessment with David Krusing. I came 15 minutes before my appointment, and was told that he just left. No courtesy phone call or anything. I don't care what your reason is.. if you have to cancel an appointment, you cancel the appointment. You just don't flee the building before you expect the person to show up. Very unprofessional. He was also very rude to me and my friend when we met him while signing up in the first place.

This gym has a great variety of equipment, large workout area. I love that this gym has a pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, large locker rooms, restrooms with showers! They also offer a wide assortment of exercise classes.

As many have pointed out, the staff of this gym location is unprofessional. The short brunette that sits in the costumer desk is rude and not costumer friendly. She does not follow standard procedures of LA Fitness STAFF rules and will overpower any LA Fitness corp. specials because 'She does not feel like it'.

The machines and weights are not new but they are well maintained. It is nothing compared to new LA Fitness locations, simply old school. This location definitely needs a face lift!

Whoever manages this gym location as well as corporate, I prefer you look into these reviews and the staff that many have complained, yet the problem persists.

Not bad for the price. I've been in over 600 gyms worldwide. This is definitely not one of the best, but it's not bad. Lots of weight lifting equipment - some good, some really bad. DB to 150lbs which is rare. Serious lifters will probably find this place reasonable. My big beef is it's too cold in the weight room. Cool in the aerobics area is fine, but weight lifting and stretching needs to be warm. But fat old men don't like to sweat, so everyone else has to freeze.

Who cares if they are nice or not. I'm here to lift. Social hour is later.

Be careful, their free health assessment injured me (crutches for 2 weeks). Then when you try to cancel membership they give you run around while they continue to debit your account. I do not recommend giving them access to your bank account. Not a good experience for me.

How can this place stay in business!? Its not so much the faciities that are so bad...its the people that run the place! Yes, the equipment is old but it is still useful. The problem is that when things break, no one bothers to repair them for weeks ...for example, there are only two drinking fountains in the whole place and one has not been working now for close to three weeks despite members complaints. Another issue is that the rules are not enforced and spitting, swearing and general boorishness is commonplace. In addition. every day the same guys drop the same wights with a loud crash on a floor not designed for such things. The welds in the dumb bells could go anytime, causing serious injury or maiming a member who pays a fee each month expecting a clean, safe environment to work out in. (There has been a dead cockroach under the 75 lb dumb bells since Christmas. We have named him and have a betting pool as to when he will be discover and maybe, just maybe, swept away. The receptionists at the front are beyond incompetent but it does not really effect the gym as a whole as there are new ones every six weeks or so. Anyone could enter without scanning a card unless, of course, they look up form their phone which means they might miss a text so its very unlikely you'd be discovered. Go ahead, come by for a visit..but DO NOT JOIN!

Rude staff, filthy facilities. The chlorine content in pool amd spa is not regulated- I participated in a water aerobics class- the chlorine level was so high- I had to have Three hyperbaric oxygen chamber visits- to purge the nixious gas from my lungs. When I spoke to the front desk- I was told "that job is done by a special needs girl". I spoke to said girl- asked her if she measured the chemicals in a test kit- she said, "No, I just pour it all in"
